I would not recommend Day & Nite Doors based on our experience. We called them to address an issue with our garage door. After the tech Augie worked on it, we immediately began experiencing new problems that the opener never had before he touched it. When we called the company and asked for him to return and take a look, Augie returned with a very dismissive attitude and acted as though we were complaining about him to his manager rather than trying to resolve an issue that clearly stated after the visit. Instead of taking time to properly diagnose the problem or explain what might be happening, the interaction felt defensive and unprofessional. When you hire a service company, you expect them to stand behind their work and treat customers respectfully if something isn't right. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. I've recently bought 2 over sized garage doors from this company and it's sad to say this company cares only about their profits and not customers satisfaction. They've asked me to pay an additional $500 for a scissor lift or get my own as they say it's necessary for the installation. I rented the equipment as requested, but the installers chose to use my scaffolding instead. I've asked for the rental cost refund as the equipment was not needed and not used for the garage doors installation and after lengthy back and forth with sales representative they decided not to reimburse me for the cost of the rental. Single car garage door broke on way out this morning. Phoned 4 local companies first (Lake Forest) since Day & Nite is based in Anaheim. 3 didn't answer, 1 told me after Christmas. I phoned Day & Nite and Maria was accommodating and helpful. She did all she could and got me on schedule for the next morning 8am. She called me back and told me they would be there at 7am - even better. I did keep trying to find someone for today as I didn't want to leave door open all night with cars and things in garage. The appointment to review the job and measurements went off without a hitch. Oscar, the lead manager was punctual and made suggestions to which openers we needed. As soon as the door manufacturer had a delivery date to them, we received an install date by telephone. Another follow up call a week before and a call the late afternoon the big day kept everyone on track. Augustine, the experienced lead installer and Eric took down the old doors, unloaded and unpacked the new doors. They loaded the old doors and all the hardware all old tracks and hardware. They worked diligently with almost no breaks, finishing at 6:30. Impressive! A quick call for a minor non-emergency adjustment resulted in an appointment in two days as they would be nearby which was fine. Very helpful and honest I had a garage door opener belt that was broken the YouTube videos make it look easy to replace First of all it isn't that easy to find the correct belt for my 25 year old door I took my old belt to their office to see if they had one, they said they were familiar with the belt but have been having a hard time getting that particular belt, they modified belts to fit my garage So I had them install the belt seemed easy enough but then they adjusted the start and stop timing and the spring tension checked the pulleys and lubricated all the moving parts Yeah a tuneup Lenny did a great job and quickly too I'm glad they did the job read more

Bought a new garage door/motor/keypad from Home Depot. They sent Day and Nite to install. The keypad has always had issues regardless of new batteries, car remotes continually need reprogramming, garage door motor jerks and shakes the house when opening and the sensors also show an error and the garage door never closes. I called and called Home Depot and I never get a call back. Nothings worse than pouring rain and running in the house to open your "automatic" garage door then getting in your car soaking wet and then forcing the garage to close. We're bummed out!! read more

Lenny, the installer was truly an experienced professional that knew what he was doing. You could tell that he had been working on garage doors for a very long time just by chatting with him (turns out its 30+ years). He was meticulous with his work: made sure that the low voltage wires for the photoelectric eyes were straight and tight; checked all the door panels for creaks and the railings for rigidity; and cleaned up after all of the debris from installation. Lenny pointed out that most installers dont take the time to cut off the extra metal portion of arm that connects the door to the cable. I'm so glad he did since it really gives the door a cleaner look. Lenny was also super friendly and did a great job explaining all the features of the garage door opener. read more

Would not recommend at all. Used them on recommendation by Landlord for my business door. Came out before it was $382 for 30 minutes work. Expensive, but fine if it's fixed. Not more than 6 months later, door wouldn't close again. Called them out and they didn't fix it, but still charged $382 for it...plus they need to order a part to replace it. Waited for quote...it was $1295(!!!!). No breakdown of cost of parts and labor etc. I asked for breakdown and got no response. So called other companies to price it. Other companies would come out first time to consult and then give you an estimate. Got one to come out and priced it at $384.94 to fix it WITH a breakdown of the pricing. That's fair, not $1295 with no explanation. The other company came and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. Obviously knew what they were doing vs. this company. Would not recommend at all. read more
