I wish too Thank Mesa Garage Door for their "Next Level" Customer Service, & follow up that we have received so far since day one, & so importantly the customer service we have received since the issues with the door & concerns, after the door was originally installed. Just really GREAT, the customer follow up & the treatment to the customer/us has been really very good, like I mentioned "Next Level", do not see this type of customer service very often. (Only maybe at Costco!) We appreciate everything so much. Cynthia & her department associates have been EXCEPTIONAL & Very Helpful. My Wife has been working with Cynthia since we had our Beautiful New Garage Door installed, to correct a few issues with the original door that was installed. The customer service we have received has been 10 STARS (only 5 stars allowed on this site, but I am giving 10 stars!) up too this point in time. The customer service in office has been Outstanding. We truly appreciate all the understanding & truly kind customer care. Cynthia & her department, & the Supervisor of her department have been Super/Great. Today DAVE a technician from Mesa came by. DAVE IS AMAZING! Dave is a Master garage door Doctor! Like an fine artist, a Doctor, or a high performance fine tuned mechanic, his skills are top of the charts, & next level. Not only is Dave highly skilled & talented, he is also patient, with outstanding customer care, concern, & understanding. A Super Great Genuine, Nice Guy. My Wife & I appreciated Dave so much today. He was that good of a garage door tech magician, & that good of a guy in this customer's opinion. My Wife was Happy, that the issues & concerns we had previously were being addressed & resolved, in such a nice manner, professional manner & genuine manner. Dave is the Best, he has precision & a plan,10+stars for Dave. Dave assess, diagnosis, & scans the situation (Terminator eye scan!), like a Doctor. With skills, knowledge, patience, & a magic touch. He finds a solution, & solves the issue. He looked at the situation & had a vision & plan. Dave did not just "MacGyver" the situation like other associates (nice guys as well) have attempted, to just take the easy way, or easy route/answer, or no answer just didn't know, or care, or potentially worsen the situation. Dave understands the customers concerns. He seems to put himself in the customer shoes, which is amazing, & appreciates & cares, to think it through, diagnose & work to find a solution. He had a plan right away, knew what to diagnose from his knowledge, experience, & great skills. Not too just have to bother the office to send someone else too come back again, without the issue being solved or even made worse. He finds a solution to move forward. Things understandably happen in life, in business, it is how things get resolved & the customer care that shows true integrity & customer care. Mesa Garage Door made it right & followed through amazingly. In some situations more challenging when there are issues, too make things right, & Mesa really made it happen, 10 stars, & have made us loyal & happy customers. A situation & experience that could of not been good at all, has been handled wonderfully so far. The salesman who performed the quote did an excellent job and made us feel confident in using Mesa for a new garage door and opener. I gave him a check for 10% down. The day of install we were told the team would arrive between 8 and 10 am. They showed up at 11:20 am. They did not phone to say they would be late. The team got to work and did a good installation. But they arrived with the wrong door hardware. Another team came out to put on the correct hardware four days later. I paid them the balance I owed ($2079.00) with a check. One week later while reviewing my checking account I saw Mesa debited my account on Oct 1 for $2079 and then again on Oct 4 for another $2079. I called my credit union and asked how they allowed this to happen, and they said Mesa did not use my check, however used my account data to debit. That it was the fault of Mesa and to contact them. I'm still pissed at my credit union for allowing this to occur, but they said if Mesa did not reverse the transaction to come in and they would help me fill out fraud paperwork and they would pull the money back. So, I phoned Mesa. I had to be on hold for a very long, long time. I finally got through and after explaining the issue, customer service told me "I'm just an answering service and will have to walk over to tell them". WTF? Who uses an answering service during business hours?? I called the following day and after another long wait, got through and they said this has already happened to several customers. They took my name and told me someone would get back to me that afternoon. NOBODY got back to me. Next day I called the salesman who provided the quote. He drafted an email to "Josh" in Accounts Receivable (and copied me) telling him they double invoiced and to please rectify the situation. I heard nothing. Next day I called Mesa again and asked for Josh in AR. I spoke to Josh, and asked what type of billing system he uses that allows them to double invoice? He told me he could not see the second payment come in. I told him that is not my problem. He then confessed to me that they are using a new software system only three weeks old and have been having nothing but trouble with it. This says volumes about Mesa. They did not do required testing prior to and after installation, and they did not do TRAINING after installation. Josh told me he did not know how to "reverse" the transaction electronically. He needed to have a manual check cut for me and mail it. Only the person who signs the checks was not in the office. He seemed to talk as if he was doing me a favor. He said they would overnight in on Monday. When Monday came, he called to say it was a holiday and it would go out Tuesday. I asked for the tracking #, and it was finally delivered Tuesday. All of this has left a very bad impression on me of the company. With all the delays, it is like they were buying time. I wonder how many people don't look at their checkbooks or just don't catch it. If I did not say anything, I'm positive they would have kept my money. So yeah, Mesa may have the lowest price, but you must deal with their frustrating answering service, over billing and excuses! And guess what? They never did cash my first check for the 10% deposit. I asked them to cash it three times and they never did. As far as I'm concerned, they are idiots! read more

Mesa Garage Doors and installer, Edward V, Anaheim completed the installation of a new garage door and new, up to new codes for the garage door opener, Linear, Model LDCO852, with emergency battery pack. Edward did an great job with the installation, along with his assistant. Only bad thing that was done, we got bad information from our Sales Rep., Greg. Not all information was added to the sales order, wrong information for door size, not enough material for the side strips for keeping dust out from Gardener's Blower, as he cleaned up outside of our garage door, all kinds of dust will be getting in garage after door is in the down position. We were told by Edward V, they would return within two weeks to complete the job, not acceptable. After Edward V left premises, tried to close the new garage door, after putting vehicle away, had an issue with the new door not staying closed. Was able to catch, Manny in your Installation Department, explained to him, we can not leave the garage door open , day or night, safety issue and security problems within the complex. He stated, "we can't get anyone there to make repairs until Friday or Saturday, explained to him unacceptable, we need someone "NOW", maybe the Installer, Edward V, should be called and asked to return to fix the problem. I asked for either Manny or Edward V to call me back immediately, to CORRECT the issue, Edward V had just left our location and I know he needed to drive back to the office base in Anaheim, and may not be able to repair, again, not acceptable. It appeared that Manny made a call to Edward V and had him call me back within the hour, 45 minutes after he left, Edward V called me back and walked my Nephew, Minio Garcia, to relearn the remotes and main panel to keep the garage door closed, unfortunately, did not seal the bottom of door and while we still had Edward V on the phone, he explained to us, he would try and setup a follow-up visit ASAP, call me tomorrow, May 29, 2019, to verify the appointment for resetting the high/low limit switch, to make the complete seal on the garage concrete slab and installing the weather stripping on the side vertical sides of the garage door trimming. Installer did a great job with the installation, making field changes to make sure that the new garage door was installed as ordered, sometimes making field modification can be real tough but Edward V did a tremendous job completing the installation, calling us back and completing the temporary resetting so the new garage door would stay closed and promised a call back and hopefully having someone complete this task by Friday, May 31, 2019, within a two hour window schedule. We are requesting the cost for another remote garage door opener for the garage door opener, Linear, Model LDCO852, MTR3 for the Management Company, for security reasons. Again, thank you Edward V for the extra help he provided us to make this installation possible and look forward to the resetting and completion of the weather stripping on the vertical sides of the trimming. I'll try to write a complete review because I did read *all* the bad reviews and discussed them with my salesperson prior to install. I'm in Laguna Beach and my existing door is a cheap metal that is probably 40 years old. Sales Appt: Our rep arrived on time, and spent a good 30 minutes going over the options for an anodized aluminum door with white laminate glass. I know the cost for these doors in 7x10 size with opener, installed, is $3000 - $5000 from check around on the internet, so when he said he'd apply all the February coupons he could get it under $4,000 that was cool with me. In my case, I chose a heavier duty railing system with upgraded rollers, and a 3/4 horse chain drive opener from Chamberlain/LiftMaster. Was quoted 4-5 week custom build and install. Quote: As represented by the sales rep, a day later it did come in under $4k. Measuring Appt: Two guys showed up on time and took about 10 minutes to verify the measurements the sales rep had taken a couple of weeks prior. I then paid the 50% deposit. Installation: Was called the day prior to confirm the appt. between 8-10am. They arrived at 8:05, and got to work. Removed the poorly done rails from the existing old door. Dismantled and removed the old door. One guy attached a perimeter weather seal in light grey. Everything great, two guys attaching rails, using self tapping screws to install the brackets connecting each of the four panels, ... and installed the four sections into the railings. Then time to install the Liftmaster. Just before they were going to install it, they checked the clearance and realized the clearance, in my case 7' 9", was 1/2" too little to work for patch used by the chain drive motor. They suggested a jack drive side mounted motor also by Liftmaster and that solved the clearance problem. It's 9:30, and they left and said they'd be back in two hours to install the jack drive opener. They did come back and installed the new lifter. Quiet as a church mouse, smooth as silk. They did not up-charge me for the more expensive opener. Also installed the outside keypad opener. There is quite a lot of discussion about a chain drive vs. belt drive vs. jack drive door opener. For heavier doors, belt drive isn't appropriate. There is also a lot of discussion about a common problem with jack drive openers, which is an unspooling of ... something... sorry don't actually understand the problem. But jack drive if installed properly for me works great so far. I really can't explain all the bad reviews, but I'm guessing it is because less expensive doors with standard rails and standard rollers are simply going to be a lot more problematic, no matter who makes the door or who installs it. Also, it stands to reason that a door costing over $3,000 -$5,000 is going to get a little better quality of service and timeliness than a door costing $1,500. So if you're getting a lower price door, a little patience might be required. read more

We've been Mesa customers since 1999. The original door was replaced after about 15yrs only because a guest had crashed into it. The new door is insulated with wood grain vinyl coating. Knew and fully expected the vinyl to fade over the years. No big deal, plan to paint it. This heavy door should have annual mechanical servicing., but you know how it goes. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Last two mornings the cables de-spooled during opening. Re-spooled the first day (DIY) the second day I called Mesa before any major damage occurs. Was told they could have a tech out the next day. I told them that wouldn't work, I have an appointment. I was put on hold while the rep checked with the tech(s) and then told me a tech will be here in 30-40 minutes. Cool, luck of the draw. People, when you call a service company you have to expect that they're doing their job and servicing customers., and therefore can't always come like the fire department. And so, next day service is often the norm. I understand that, was willing to wait a day longer because of my schedule. Ten minutes later the tech ( Marcos 403 ) calls and states that he's en route and will be here in 10-15 minutes. Right on schedule., he examines the systems and then explains that he can perform a full servicing which will correct the issue(s)., but, if the springs are warn they may break a little while later and he'll have to repeat the same labor to replace a broken spring later. So I would end up paying double. Or, out of precaution, he could replace the springs during the servicing labor and result in only an increase for the cost of the springs. Our system is clean and in good mechanical shape., but we've neglected to maintain the annual servicing for best performance. I elected to toss the dice and go for the full servicing and no new springs. Within 30 minutes he had the door realigned, spring tension adjusted, cables tight, door fully lubed and running smoother than it has for a couple years. Once more, the Mesa truck heads back down the road., leaving me with a smile on face. Good Job and a Thumbs up. Turns out the tech squeezed me in between two calls., as I was on his way. That's service. $229, well earned, with no regrets. Mechanical things ware and break. Sooner, without routine servicing. My HVAC system is on an annual maintenance plan and gets serviced four times a year within the plan. They keep it in top shape. I think Mesa Servicing Department should consider offering a similar Annual Maintenance plan for garage door systems. Two full service visits a year for the cost of 1-1/2 services. Minimizing the mechanical stresses of a system lacking routine servicing, the system would last much longer between failures., and run smooth as silk. Most of the door failure complaints in these reviews appear to be failures that may have been totally non-existent with properly performed scheduled servicing. read more

I am so upset with this company. Their customer service SUCKS. I ordered 4 garage doors for my FourPlex . Its originally scheduled for installation on Feb 23, 2010 and the price was right. $3800. Then the week before installation, a technician went out to the location and told me that a vent needed to be added and motors and so forth. They jacked up the price to $4500. I called the manager right away. But to be fair; we compromise at $4200. So Installation was supposed to take place on Feb. 23rd but was pushed back because of they told me it was a "special order". Reasonable, I thought. . I received a phone call stating my doors are ready for installation on Mar 24. and will receive confirmation call Mar 24th morning. I contacted all for unit's tenants to let them know. I waited all morning on for that Time Frame confirmation call. Nothing. Finally around 11am. I called. MESA. I was transferred to 4 different people and no one seems to know what happened to my garage doors. Then the front desk girl was able to tell me that my doors are BACKED ORDERED. She said it seems like the doors won't arrived until April 5th and it'll be ready for installation April 9th. So she scheduled me in for installation for April 9th. I had to call all 4 units' tenants to let them know the doors have been rescheduled for installation. On April 9th I waited again all morning and no phone call. I called back and was told my doors are DAMAGED and won't be ready for installation until April 13th. I asked her if my doors were damaged and IT SUPPOSED to be this "SPECIAL ORDERED" doors, how could they get a replacement so QUICKLY.. Anyways.. 3 out of 4 doors were finally installed. So I called back to scheduled the 4th door. It was scheduled for MAY 11th.. Then I received a call from their Acct. Receivable dept. wanting payment. I told them installation is not yet completed. But I am ok with them charging partial of the remaining balance which is $3800, I put a $400 deposit. They charged $2800. But to later know that within a week they charged the final payment of $1000 without my consent. I was furious. But to know May 11th is approaching.. I just left it alone. I received my confirmation call the night before (May 10th) contacted my tenant to let them know what time installation is going to take place. But AGAIN, on May 11th, received another call that my DOOR IS DAMAGED!!! I was steaming.. MAD.. No one calls. This COMPANY'S CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!! I sent numerous EMAILS to their manager, owner, customer service and NO ONE replies. Please save yourself the HEADACHE and go with a different company.. I give this company 0 stars.. I can't understand how they can stay in business.. THEY TRULY SUCK!!!! read more

Mesa salesmen confirmed most of the bad reviews I read before I had them out for an estimate. I was given a price when I called; the price changed when the salesman came out. I scheduled an appointment and later received a call from a salesman wanting to schedule an appointment. I told him I already had one scheduled for the morning and he said that was impossible and I must have made the appointment with someone other than Mesa. I agreed to see him that evening. When the salesman came out the price of the door was higher than quoted over the phone although no conditions changed. I am a contractor and know what I'm talking about. I have purchased many garage doors for personal and professional use over the years. The salesman also tried to up-sell me vinyl wheels and he tried to pressure me into making a deal immediately. He said the price would go up if I didn't act immediately. I politely thanked him and told him I had another estimater coming in the morning. Before leaving he told me he would match any other price I got. In the morning another Mesa salesman showed up as scheduled. I didn't tell him of the other salesman that came the night before. He surveyed the project and gave me a "contractor's price break" that was $300 higher than the other salesman (although he did not try to up-sell). Before leaving he also told me he would price match. Each of the Mesa salesmen told me I would receive a 30% rebate on from the government on the total price of the door. The government's program is actually a rebate in the installation cost only. They each insisted it was on the total cost. This is not correct and they tried to bait me with a promise that could not be kept. I called Omar's garage doors and they had a salesman come out the same day. He beat both of Mesa's prices and did not try to up-sell. The vinyl wheels are included in their package and the salesman was honest about the government rebate. I received a telephone call from the first Mesa salesman in which he "explained" that their "system" had many problems the day before. Their "servers crashed and many appointments got mixed up and salesmen were going to the wrong houses." He asked me if I had another Mesa salesman out. I told him yes and he asked for a name. He also was eager to price match my other quotes. I believe the first Mesa alesman was attempting to steal a sale from another Mesa employee. I believe he lied to me. I believe the second Mesa salesman inflated the price when he saw my Rolls Royce in my garage. I believe he lied to me also. I have used Mesa in the past. I will not use them again. read more

I purchased a garage door from Mesa over two years ago. This was my second garage door I bought from Mesa. The first was for a different house. So after two years with this garage door, I suddenly noticed there was a separation or a gap in the area where the window frames are fastened to the sheet metal. Not sure how this occurred but either way I thought I would take a chance at calling the company to see if they would stand by their product especially since it wasn't a normal wear and tear situation. At least I didn't think so. I started by locating my paperwork and found the name and number of the San Diego area rep for Mesa Garage Doors. Craig called me back in a reasonable amount of time and listened to me present my issue. He asked me to send him pictures. Within just a day or two, Craig got back to me and told me he thought it was probably a warranty issue. He told me he would check with the warranty department and get back to me. Within 24 hours, Craig contacted me and told me Mesa would replace the window panel but that I would be responsible for $90 labor. This was disappointing and unacceptable. I have never heard of paying for labor for something that is not my fault. I respectfully expressed my belief that a garage door is a garage but its how a company treats a customer that results in more business in the long run and the short run. Craig said he would run this further up the flag pole and get back to me. The next day Craig contacted me and told my the owner of Mesa agreed to replace the panel at no charge. And now I am telling you, that I have already recommended Mesa garage doors to several friends. I recommend you buy a Mesa garage door the next time you need a garage door because you will have the confidence that you will be treated right should anything happen. You see, the problem with the door could happen with any product because things happen. But if the company takes care of the customer its worth far more than a little extra sheet metal and plastic which I believe amounts to far less than $90. In June of 2014 the homeowners association and where I live decided that they were going to use mesa garage doors for all of our garage doors. At first a lot of us were very skeptical because the reviews here on Yelp. In my previous review I was very critical of the salesperson who came out and the office staff members that I dealt with. It's been a few years now and I must say, they were much better than I could have ever hoped. My salesperson came back out to visit the community homeowners association during our monthly meeting. To my surprise he remembered exactly who I was and apologized again for the motorized door. It made me feel important that he took the time to go back to management and report our complaints. During the homeowners association meeting he sat there quietly as the community went over our normal business.It wasn't until the president saw him sitting there politely that he was asked to speak. We are coming up on our two year warranty period and he was recommending us to extend the warranty for all the doors so that if anything happened we would be completely covered against the high cost of repairs. We had no idea this service existed but immediately knew we would be taking advantage of it because the cost per person for a community our size was just an unbelievable deal. Before he left a couple people cornered him once again and asked if he could inspect their doors because they felt they might need the warranty service sooner rather than later. Patiently he went through each person's trouble area/ concern asking questions taking notes, making sure he got everything written down for the service person. When he got to my home, I showed him the my button has to be pressed twice to be responsive, he let me know that was a feature of the opener than can be changed with programming. They normally charge $29 for service calls but because he remembered me from before.he waived this fee for me. He did unfortunately tell me that the technician would be coming from a different branch location but that he left really good notes for the technician. I contacted the MGD Garage Door Company for a quotation to supply and fit roller doors to our double garage. The surveyor was very efficient and was able to answer all of my questions regarding the safety devices for the doors. The quotation was within our budget so we placed the order. The order process was trouble free and we were advised in writing of the payment terms and expected delivery date. I requested a quotation on a new garage door and a visit/inspection was arranged within several days, the salesman even came out late on a Friday evening to see me and was extremely helpful with regards to what type of door would be suitable for my garage and within my budget. I opted for an electric roller door which was within my budget given the 5 discount I was offered and then managed to increase to 7.5% upon ringing the company to discuss. I was originally quoted a 6 week waiting time due to it being the Christmas period, however a fitting date was arranged in just over 2 weeks. Chris arrived early and were extremely friendly to both myself, my wife and my daughter and completed the work in about 2.5 hours (much less then the expected 4 hours which was stated as an average time). This which may have been due to the several cups of tea they drank, however this was no problem due to it being an extremely cold day. There was one issue with regards to the extension lead which was required for the plug socket and did not work, but this was rectified and fitted (again late on a Friday afternoon) 2 days later and was again completed quickly (approx 15 mins) and efficiently. I would have no hesitation in suggesting the Mesa Garage Door Company to any friends or family and am very happy with my new garage door and the service provided. We were contacted by telephone and advised of the installation date. On the day of installation we were telephoned by the installation team and advised they would be with us within the hour. The installation team of Aaron were very professional, did a first class job and explained the operation of the doors fully.
