Avoid this place at all costs. I hire service providers for a living and can tell you firsthand that this company does NOT care about their customers at all. They price gouge and add exorbitant mark-up fees to compensate for outsourcing a lot of their work because they no longer have in-house technicians. I only used them because they were the original installer on my garage door, but would never use them again considering they actually caused more problems than they fixed. We literally had padding issues just a day or two after they changed out a motor and they had the nerve to charge us to come out again. Unbelievable! Do yourself a favor and go with a local provider who doesn't charge some insane amount for overhead and profit. You're literally just paying for the name here and sadly, their name is no longer even reputable, considering both the old leadership and new leadership are equally terrible. Anaheim Door installed my Raynor Garage Door in 2010 and did a fantastic job. Needed to have one generic part replaced and called to see if they had it in-stock and what the cost would be. Spoke with them and was told that a technician would need to come out first for a no-charge appointment, and they had an opening in 2 hours, but did not even ask where I live. Not going to wait 2+ hours for a technician to come to see the part that I am describing, and likely will be told it is not available. Decided to email the company instead, and it bounced. SCAM! I called Anaheim Door. The person that answered didn't say it was another company ( GDI) . The guy came and quoted $450 for a re-transmitter or $1600 for a new garage door opener. Without knowing how much things cost we agreed for a new re-transmitter but when we saw what he was doing ($80 device from Amazon and 5 minutes of work) we refused. I needed to have a spring replaced on my garage door that Anaheim Door has installed several years ago. I called to reach a service technician and was told that someone would be here in 30 minutes. Amazing! He showed up about an hour later and said he was with GDI and they had acquired Anaheim Door, which was news to me! When I asked him what this was going to cost, he told me $795 which was shocking to me! As both of my cars were in the garage and I needed at least one out, I had no choice but to have the repair made. Checking around with other service providers, I found that most were under $500 which I thought was reasonable, but with a final bill of $846 in my hand, I will NEVER use these people again! Strongly discourage anyone from attempting to use GDI, previously known as Anaheim Door. Anaheim Door originally installed my 2 new doors and motors a few years ago through my GC and did a good job. Called a few weeks ago to schedule maintenance and discovered they were bought by a company called GDI Garage Doors, apparently soon after I used Anaheim. Was hesitant to use the new company with no references and made the mistake of not checking with my GC and other colleagues first but took a chance. Scheduled 3 different Saturday appointments; first one, they called to cancel saying "tech was stuck on an earlier service appointment". Second, no call/no show so I called and gave the benefit of the doubt. Today, they called saying "tech can't make it" after waiting at home all day for a third Saturday in a row. I've already advised my GC and colleagues in the industry that previously had Anaheim Door as their go-to garage door subcontractor and they were as appalled as I was. My service call was a minor distraction for GDI, but hopefully they'll realize that poor service can have ramifications, especially if the customer has connections to the industry they sell to. read more

We had called out the company that had bought our previous garage door company and they were out of a bad movie, told us our springs were shot and needed a new opener for the double door the preceded to break the single door saying it was just it's time to go. I told them to leave know and called Anaheim Doors. Tom said he'd be 45 minutes and if he found anything he'd let's us know. 45: minutes later he said the doors and springs needed adjustment and lubed, cost for all doors $159.00 Estimated cost of relates with the other company for both doors $1,800. GDI Garage Doors is the company that provides service when calling the Anaheim Door phone number. Tension spring replacement was fast, friendly and costly. Only three stars due to a much higher estimate in person than the phone quote. Additional repairs were offered that may not be needed, but acceptable for those who like preventive maintenance. Anaheim Door had originally installed 2 galvanized springs that required occasional adjustment, GDI replaced them with 2 shorter oil-tempered springs. With a new center bearing, new end plates w/ bearings and new rollers, the parts and labor was $740. Warranty is the manufacturers part warranty (6 years). $24.95 if warranty has to be exercised. Warranty cannot be transferred to a new home owner. read more

Horrible service. Definitely not about customers and not about garage openers. Called to ask questions because why remote was not working. Didn't know if it was the remote or receiver. Our garage receiver had Anaheim doors and phone number, hence the phone call to them. Asked if we can buy an universal remote to see if it's our remote that's not working or if it's the receiver. If the remote works then great. If it doesn't then can we return it? The answer was NO. Then to service the receiver, it would be over one hundred dollars. I forgot the amount after getting turned off by their responses. Asked how much a new garage opener would cost. $550. Stopped by Lowes, and picked up an universal remote (chamberlain). They said if it doesn't work, just bring it back!!!! Simple. Excellent customer service. And, their new garage opener was less than $200!!!! And installation was $69. This is the worst company you can ever use. It was a business that was 40 years old and really good with the original ownership. Now they have outsourced and have nothing to do with this company. Do not use this company. They steal from seniors and are not available to fix their shotty work. They overcharge, and steal your money. My senior disabled mom used them unbeknownst to me, and once I got involved and investigated, I found out that this works almost like a franchise. You call Anaheim door, and it goes to a different source, located abroad, they then send your request to a contractor, that is not qualified to make repairs. Not happy with their service. I bought a brand new house in Tustin that had Anaheim Door posted as the garage door vendor. I called and told them that the garage door was very loud and vibrated through the house. I told them that there was nothing wrong with the garage door itself, just an unfortunate circumstance to where the motor was mounted; it was mounted right below my kids' room which constantly caused them to wake up. He said they'd charge us $129 to come out and check out the problem. I emphasized that there's nothing wrong with the door itself but that I may need some vibration dampeners or possibly a different style motor all together. They came and installed the vibration isolators which actually made no difference at all and charged us $165. We discussed that if that doesn't work, going with a DC motor would be better. I totally understood and simply asked for some sort of credit since I already paid $165 and literally got nothing in return. They refused to work with me at all and thus I went to another company who installed a beautifully quiet unit. It works much better. Thankfully these are not the only people in town! read more

Last week our garage door was only opening sporadically. Since we purchased the door and lift system from Anaheim Door, we naturally contacted them for service. The Technicians, John and Mike, fully analyzed the system and found that it could not be repaired. Since we have a very unique configuration in our garage that limits the type of door opener that can be installed, John and Mike went to work installing the special opener. They did a fantastic job. First i would like to say do no not trust the negative reviews some of these people have left! The service at Anaheim Door is outstanding, i spoke with Justin and he got everything taken care of for me! He spent the time understanding what i needed and even showed me over the phone how to open my door when it was stuck. From there Anaheim Door was out the next day and fixed my problem! Tom did a great job! He fixed my Door and even got my car to work with the garage door opener! Justin and the serviceman are very professional and willing to answer all of my questions( which is rare these days). The company that purchased the phone number for Anaheim Door is based in Henderson Nevada. When you call, a person in Henderson is answering the phone. They also go by Anytime Garage Door. Both GDI & Anytime are operated by someone named Joey. They just have independent Techs in So Cal now. We had them out to replace the rollers on our door installed by Anaheim a few years ago with new nylon rollers. The tech said the Nylon rollers would be $16.00 for each plus labor. A high quality Nylon roller costs about $30 for a 10 pack. When we said that is crazy he said that is what they charge. Stay away from this business !! read more

Purchased our Garage Door from Anaheim Door in July 2014. Have enjoyed the great looking door since. Came back from Thanksgiving 2018 trip to find our garage door panel had malfunctioned-was not working at all even though we checked that power was reaching this control unit. Called Anaheim Door for a service call to determine what the problem was and get it fixed. They scheduled service in two days. Great! Service tech "PG" came out today at the exact time promised. He introduced himself, was super courteous throughout the onsite call and identified the panel needed replacing. He assisted me with the re-learning process on each remote and car link as well as 'tuned-up' the door. Could not have asked for a more professional tech who was very knowledgeable and fast. Horrible customer service with a couple of employees at the store as well as an insulting company policy. When I requested the general manager's name and asked to talk to him/her, one employee said the general manager wasn't in and refused to give me his/her name. He said I could call the next day and ask for "the general manager." Never did talk to him/her, stopped by and spoke to another manager and was only given this manager's first name. Was told the general manager was busy with something else. I told this manager my concerns with the employees and company policies, and the employee's refusal to give me the general manager's name. This manager didn't appear to care about my concerns and asked what I needed. Will never by a garage door here again ever! Thought this was a good company. Used them to do install my homes garage door 16 years ago and service as needed. They replaced wood panels with glass a couple of years ago and now the door is coming apart where they inserted the glass panels. I call service manager Mark this morning to ask for service. He says he needs 5 minute to pull hardcopy of previous work and will call me in 5! 5 hours later no call so I reach out. Bottom line do not do any business with these people. We contacted them for a new motor since they were the ones that installed the original one in our house when it was built. The installation was fine and then the next day when you pull out of the garage, you cant close the door. You can press the remote for 10 mins and nothing will happen. Sometimes if you pointed it upside down it might work. Whats the point of a garage door opener when you need to get out of your car and go in the house to close it? Called them to come back thinking it was under warranty and they charged us a service fee of $90 to check out our brand new garage door opener that was less than one week old. Had to argue with their office and they offered to charge us half. (thanks for nothing) And of course it works when they came out. I know, I fix computers and this always happens. Unfortunately, I didn't check yelp before using Anaheim Door. I went off the fact that I knew two people who purchased new doors from them, which I thought was sufficient...I was wrong. The average 3 star rating tells you everything you need to know. There are several 5 star options out there, just do a bit of homework on yelp. For my experience, you can read below: Purchased new door, opener, tracks, etc from them a year (and one month) ago. Product seems fine...but service is abominable/shady. Once the sale is complete, they don't care. I called for a service checkup since the door was making excessive noise. Left a message in early July, never received a return call. Called again in August, was lucky to actually speak to someone, who told me that my 1 year installation warranty had expired...and that the service would cost me $89. Funny how my original, unreturned call in July would have been free...but now is going to cost me. Having a high tolerance for pain, I chose to ignore this and still schedule an appointment. Day of appointment, took time off work, got message from them 1/2 hour before...whereby they cancelled because someone called in sick. They offered to reschedule for two days later. Called back to confirm (left voicemail) and never received return call. Called again day later, was told no openings until following week...and "I was just about to call you"...yeah, right. Still not fully appreciating what I was dealing with, I agreed to appointment time for following week. Finally getting mad enough to check other options, I went to yelp and found a local service/installation company with 5 star average rating (115 ratings) and called them. They had a technician out to my house the next morning to perform service. Door needed routine maintenance (which is to be expected) BUT HAD NEVER BEEN LUBRICATED...EVER...which is a basic installation task. The lack of lubrication on the metal hinges, springs, bearings was contributing to the excess noise. Luckily, there did not appear to be any premature wear/damage. I really hope I never have a warranty issue with the motor or door, because I dread the idea of having to contact them again (for anything). read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! I called just to get advice on an issue I had. They would not give me advice and kept trying to push a service appointment which would cost over $89! So I drove to the shop to maybe talk to someone in person. Let me tell you, it's like I walked into the 80s in that place. They had autographed head shot pics of all the old celebs of the 80s ie: Tom Selek, Bob Barker, the dude from Home Improvement. ..Elvira! The most recent celeb was Ashton Kutcher for God's sakes! I couldn't get Anaheim Doors to respond in a timely matter to replace an 18 month old broken spring on my new garage door that they installed. They said they would check into the warranty and got back to me. It has been 4 days of waiting and still no answer even after several calls from me to them. My car was stuck inside my garage all this time. I finally had to call another company to come out the same day to replace the spring. The cost to replace the spring ($250) was still almost half of what Anaheim Door would charge me ($375-$425 without the warranty). Do not buy from Anaheim Doors.
