A true hidden gem in the quiet town of Aledo. We have been to a few places in Texas whenever we come to visit, and this is definitely a contender for the top spot! Ordered the Trinity, the OG burger, and a pulled pork sandwich. The jalapeño sausage, and brisket were Divine! The OG burger was also really tasty. And we loved the mac and cheese and street corn sides. The pork sandwich was a bit on the dry side but still good. Lots of room to sit both inside and outside. Expect to wait in line awhile, and service was just ok here. When I was ordering the cashier kept cutting me off. Overall the service wasn't terrible, but nothing really stood out about it either. Would absolutely come back because the food is amazing!

Dayne's has stayed the course. BBQ is still primo craft barbecue from offset smokers. Once ordered food appears promptly. Traditional BBQ joint ambiance and vibe. Posting menu as of today 7/16/26

I love Dayne's and I'm still sad they moved out of Fort Worth and to Aledo. I've been coming since they were at Lola's followed them to Camp Bowie and now Aledo! We came on a Friday for the lunch and thankfully the line wasn't out the door but was after we got there!! We came for the OG Burgers, we love these, they are the best!! Other local bbq jts do their own burgers now but nothing compares to Dayne's!!! The Frito beans are the best side, love em!! We wanted a little extra meat and went with the bacon brisket, I forget what this was but still delicious! Love coming back here when I get the chance!

We checked this place out for lunch recently and it was really good. Dayne's has been on our list for a while and we finally found a day to check it out for lunch. We tried the "Fort Worth the Wait" platter. We added a Holy Voodoo sausage link, beef bacon, and the lumpia to try a little bit of everything. We also tried the banana bourbon delight. For sides, we had everything expect the broccoli grape salad. The amount of food we got for the price, was very reasonable. Everything was flavorful. The sausage was the group's favorite, then the brisket, beef bacon, turkey, pulled pork, and ribs. The customer service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and the first responder discount was unexpected. One of the best places our group has tried. Worth making the trip.

One of the best barbecue places we've ever tried. Thank you for a great barbecue. I'll definitely be visiting you soon. Another one for the record book!

Might be the best bbq I have ever had and I am 54 years old! It was myself, my wife and our 30 year old son and we had the platter that was $95. We took a lot of food home. This easily could have fed 1-2 more people. Brisket would just melt in your mouth. All of the meats were outstanding. My favorite side was the Mac and cheese but wife loved the street corn. Overall, I cannot rank it high enough. 5 out of 5 easy!!!

Excellent and authentic Texas BBQ. Top 10 in the state for a reason. The brisket is exceptional. Recommend getting it with fat on. It will absolutely melt in your mouth. Highlight of the trip. The burger is excellent. Where it lacks in quantity it makes up in quality. The brisket trimmings used in the meat is fantastic and so simple. I am not a huge potato salad person, but this one is fantastic. The macaroni and the corn were not showstoppers for me but still good. Highly recommend this place. Excellent food with a great vibe.

Dayne's has now become a staple in Aledo. Starting as a food truck I'm glad they found a home here. Their barbecue is obviously well-known and loved. But their desserts and sides are also not to be missed. Sometimes barbecue places have great barbecue but lack on the things that make them unique. Dayne's has a good mix of great barbecue, good sides, and monthly specials to keep you coming back. Glad to live near this go to.

This was my first time going to Dayne"s. I kept hearing about it and reading the BBQ rankings. It did not disappoint. The building itself is rustic and just screams BBQ. The cashier took his time explaining what they were know for and so did the other patrons in line. The OG burger was amazing and one of the best burgers I've had in the metroplex. The brisket was right up there with Franklin's. They had 3 different types of sausage and a great mustard based bbq sauce that went well with the turkey and pork. I will be back to try the beef ribs!

Loved this place. Worth the drive. The brisket and ribs were exceptional. Was not a huge fan of the sausage but overall it was worth the cost.

Driving around Texas eating BBQ on the Texas Monthly Top 50 list. Arrived at Dayne's Craft Barbecue early on a Friday as husband and I wanted to eat a couple of the kolaches and then wait for the BBQ. The kolaches are fresh, delicious and some of the best we have ever eaten. They have a nice large parking area. You walk inside are greeted by a smiling employee. We ordered, ate and talked to several people that work and run this great Barbecue place. While waiting to order BBQ one of the employees was walking around giving out a few free breakfast tacos! Wow, what a treat. When we finally ordered our food we got food to eat there and food to bring back home. Let me just say that is the sign of great BBQ if it's good on site to eat and good when you warm it up at home. Dayne's BBQ was and is some of the best we have had yet. We had the Trinity platter, the bacon brisket, broccoli grape salad and flamin hot street corn. The Trinity came with moist smoke ring brisket along with pork ribs and JALAPENO HAVARTI sausage. I highly recommend you make the drive to Dayne's Craft Barbecue

The Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ List takes you to places you can't even pronounce, and while on a trek to Dallas, I made an intentional stop in Aledo, Texas, to try Dayne's Craft Barbecue. This was my first trek to Dallas since May, and since I was locked in on my Texas Monthly passport, I knew I had to stop at one of the heavy hitters before attending a wedding with my girlfriend. Outside, Dayne's has plenty of space, with grass lots available if worse came to worst. For arriving at 11:40 am, there was still plenty of parking. There was a train track right next door, so if you're coming from I-20, be warned of the tracks. There was a small line, which is expected for a top 10 BBQ joint on a Friday. There was only one cashier, probably to help filter the people eating and the people waiting to get their food because it was pretty filled inside. The cashier was extremely welcoming and helped us decide what sausage link to get, with this week's black pepper brat special being an easy pick for him. Having been driving from Austin on an empty stomach, I was pretty hungry, but all things considered, it only took about 30 minutes from getting in line to getting my food. It's pretty efficient, and we immediately got a table after ordering. Yes The server was even more welcoming than the cashier as he brought us our food. He explained everything about the restaurant, from their traditional red BBQ sauce to their special Carolina gold sauce that had a Texas twist to it. Everything looked incredible on the tray, and I'll share my thoughts on everything. Brisket: I ordered a fatty piece of their brisket, and it was heavenly. The Carolina gold sauce definitely added extra flavor, but the brisket was already super flavorful and almost melted in my mouth. Black Pepper Brat: Their weekly special brat for 10/3 was easily one of the best sausages I've had on this journey so far. It was almost Cajun-like with its pepper base, but the sausage itself was super flavorful and juicy. I'm the most impressed by this. Pork Ribs: Not my favorite ribs from this journey, but they fall off the bone and are very well seasoned. They were a little too smoky for my liking, but my girlfriend seemed to really enjoy them. Apple Slaw: I've had many slaws in my life but have never been huge on it until I had Dayne's apple slaw. It's the right mix of crispness from cabbage to the juiciness of an apple. I'm super pleased with this. Frito Pie Beans: These beans were compact. Some beans can be a little juicy, but these Frito Pie beans topped with Fritos, crema, and jalapeños were so incredible and were destroyed by the two of us. Flamin' Hot Street Corn: This is the second BBQ joint I've been to that added Flamin' Hot Cheeto dust to a side, and I can say that it pairs better with this corn than with macaroni. I demolished it on my own with no help from my girlfriend. I hope she was okay with the one bite she had. My fault. Dayne's is one of those barbecue restaurants that feel integral to the city. Though tourists like myself might come through for their stamps and to try a high-ranking joint, the typical patrons are Aledo residents eating at their hometown BBQ joint, and the love that Dayne and company put into this makes me jealous of the almost 6.7k residents who can swing by almost any day of the week. I sent a picture of my tray to my dad, and his response shows how lucky I am to be at Dayne's: "You suck and I hate you." RIYL: Visiting cities you would never visit otherwise

Hamburger, pork burnt ends, brisket, coleslaw, and Mexican street corn

Everyone kept talking about Dayne's so we had to try it. Rated #7 on the Texas Top 50 BBQ and boy it did not disappoint. From walking in and being greeted, the burnt ends/brisket/hamburger and sides were easily some of the best food and service we have had. They earned a 5 star in our book! Great job all around Dayne's and team.

Hand down, best craft bbq in north Texas. The OG burger is a must. Daynes knocks it out of the park EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Anyway... A friend and I stopped in just a few minutes after they opened mid-week and were very disappointed. That an the fact that the young lady we followed in the door was on her first day as a server EVER didn't help. The bbq that we were served look as though it had been pulled out of the refrigerator and put in the steam table just minutes before we ordered. Both of our plates of food were cold and the meat was an unappetizing gray color. My friend's order was screwed up, probably because the new girl had zero idea of what her duties were or what the menu combinations were made up of. We heard her introduce herself to the cashier as the new server and she was turned our way to take the order with no idea of what she was doing, no idea of what was on the menu, etc. Flavor was unimpressive and honestly I was so put off by the whole situation that I didn't even make a stink. I just paid and left the plate of food. I know this place gets some decent reviews and maybe our visit was an anomoly, but I won't be giving them a second chance. 3/18/2016 - Received the comment below from the owner who gave a bit of an explanation as to why things may have gone awry at the time of my visit. I'm happy to see the owner will be more involved and pleased that he has taken the time to drop me a note. If he is willing to reach out to me, then I feel that I can do the same and I will give TBS another shot if I find myself out that way.
