From nightmare to my hero!!!…read more I recently had a car buying experience at Hanlees Hilltop Hyundai that started stressful and a feeling of being taken advantage of by misleading tactics and hidden contract costs. As a single parent and a caregiver for my elderly parents and my son with special needs, I was at their mercy to take care of me since I didn't have the time to take care of anything else. Well needless to say I was duped! I was so ready to walk away from the Hanlees group entirely. Everything changed when I got a call from Jim Totah, the Director of Sales Operations. Although the issue began at the Hyundai store, Jim is located at Hanlees Toyota, and the difference in management and atmosphere was night and day. From his very first message, I could hear a level of sincerity and kindness that reminded me of an uncle or a grandfather(someone who cared about me). He didn't treat me like a "sale" he treated me like a neighbor. He understood my hesitation to return to the Hyundai location and graciously met me at the Toyota dealership instead to ensure I felt safe and comfortable. Jim is a true hero who restored my faith by personally sitting down with me to go through every single line of my contract. He took the time to listen to what I needed. He said he wanted me "to be happy" with my purchase! He corrected several significant financial discrepancies that had been added to my initial agreement at the other location. Once we reached an agreement, he introduced me to Felipe Cortez, the Sales Manager at Toyota, to finalize the paperwork. Jim was right to have total confidence in him. Felipe is a complete stand up guy and, like Jim and myself, he too grew up in San Francisco. I felt 100% respected working with both of them. They ensured my 2026 Santa Fe included the full 10-year/100,000-mile warranty and the 3-year maintenance I was originally promised, all while bringing the total cost down to a fair and sustainable level for my family's budget. Jim Totah is a man of his word and a true advocate for the community, and I am so grateful he and the Toyota team gave my first car purchase a second chance at such a positive outcome! I will absolutely be recommending all of my family and friends to visit the Hanlees Toyota Hilltop location for future fair, honest, and transparent purchases.

She is smart, well-informed, friendly, and not pushy at all - a delightful exception to the car sales stereotype. Even though we ended up not buying the Ioniq 5 at this time, we would gladly work with Alana again if there were an opportunity.

ZERO stars if I could…read more The service representative in this department here is deplorable. The reprehensible way that my elderly parents (over 85 years old) have been treated is abhorrent. Marinca Morales is a complete disservice to anything "customer care" related, entirely. She is devoid of all common courtesy and incapable of anything akin to acceptable customer service. Her tactics are rude, uncaring, intolerant and evasive. Her emails are brief, back tracking and counter to previous ones. The lack of transparency in billing is appalling. There are multiple unauthorized, egregious and un-agreed to charges on the bill, which required multiple requests to get. Including an extortion fee of $150 a day for undisclosed car "storage" charges. As others here have stated, GO ANYWHERE ELSE but to this dealership for service. Genesis clearly does not care though. There are multiple disserviced customers here logging complaints, and not one attempt to make amends from anyone in charge. Shameful. There is a growing rift between Hyundai and Genesis and thus these cars are becoming ever more difficult to service. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY A GENESIS. Don't even accept one for free. You will regret it the instant that you need to tow your "luxury" car over 100 miles away, just for routine service. If you live in the greater Sacramento or surrounding areas, Richmond, CA is the closest clownship to handle repairs of your "luxury" Genesis. You read that correctly. NO ONE near Rocklin, services these over priced and over rated customer care worth crap, automobiles. Marinca Morales, who works here, is perhaps better suited for working in a junkyard. Her clear lack of empathy and stellar skills at confusion and double talk for senior citizens could earn her an award for most likely to cause a hospital stay in the elderly. (Ask me how I know.) I implore you, DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS STORE. If you have elderly parents, RUN FAR AWAY FROM MARINCA and her epic LACK OF professional customer service practices. If you live in the greater Sacramento area, DO NOT BUY A GENESIS CAR FROM ANYONE! Be safe out there folks. It's getting pretty unsavory at Hanlees Hilltop Hyundai service division.

I went to another ford dealership to check the vehicle, test drove it but a day later they called and told me the color i wanted sold. Glad it did because I went to hilltop ford. Honestly got a way better deal there. I inquired online and Shawn Patton called me that same day. Made a appointment, got what i was looking. Shawn was great, very professional and likeable. I didn't feel any kind of pressure at all with her. I highly recommend her. I freakin dig my new truck man!

I contacted Hilltop Ford with a radical, almost rebellious idea:…read moreI wanted to buy a 2026 Ford F-150, with cash, today, without paying sticker, and without the mystery add-ons that magically appear on the invoice. I was immediately informed that the truck was "selling for over sticker." Naturally. Because nothing says buyer's market like the end of the year. When I suggested negotiating over the phone so I could just show up, hand over the money, and leave with a truck, I was hit with the dealership's sacred mantra: "Presence is power." Translation: Please drive here so we can ignore everything you just said in person. Despite clearly stating--repeatedly--that I was paying cash, the salesman remained deeply committed to discussing monthly payments, as if hoping I'd suddenly forget how money works. Eventually, I was told the sales manager would call me. He did. And wouldn't you know it--he approved exactly the deal I wanted. So I drove in. That's when reality shifted. I was informed that: The person I spoke with was not actually the sales manager, and The deal I was quoted was no longer valid. When I pointed out that someone had been impersonating a sales manager--and produced a recording--the actual sales manager apologized... then calmly explained that there was no way they would sell the truck for anything under sticker. Which is fascinating, because I left and bought the same truck at another East Bay Ford dealership for less than even Hilltop's imaginary sales manager promised. So yes--presence is power. Just not when honesty leaves the building. Final verdict: If you enjoy vanishing deals, phantom authority figures, and being told prices are "impossible" right before you go buy them somewhere else--this is your dealership. Mic drop: Hilltop Ford didn't lose a sale because of price--they lost it because the truth had a lower MSRP somewhere else.
