ZERO stars if I could. The service representative in this department here is deplorable. The reprehensible way that my elderly parents (over 85 years old) have been treated is abhorrent. Marinca Morales is a complete disservice to anything "customer care" related, entirely. She is devoid of all common courtesy and incapable of anything akin to acceptable customer service. Her tactics are rude, uncaring, intolerant and evasive. Her emails are brief, back tracking and counter to previous ones. The lack of transparency in billing is appalling. There are multiple unauthorized, egregious and un-agreed to charges on the bill, which required multiple requests to get. Including an extortion fee of $150 a day for undisclosed car "storage" charges. As others here have stated, GO ANYWHERE ELSE but to this dealership for service. Genesis clearly does not care though. There are multiple disserviced customers here logging complaints, and not one attempt to make amends from anyone in charge. Shameful. There is a growing rift between Hyundai and Genesis and thus these cars are becoming ever more difficult to service. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY A GENESIS. Don't even accept one for free. You will regret it the instant that you need to tow your "luxury" car over 100 miles away, just for routine service. I would give the service department a 0 but 1 star is the lowest I could give. I brought my car in, based on the service manager's instructions whenever another EV related warning light came on in my Ioniq 5. Brought it in today because a "Check EV System" warning came on. Service writer there told me only one maintenance tech was there and he was not certified in plugging in the scanner to the Can-Bus plug to read codes. I explained that the last time I had warning lights illuminate and I brought it in for diagnostics, the tech found no codes. This is why the service manager told me to bring it in so they could pull the code as the light was on. However this service writer today, as of 1/31/2026, told me that nobody could pull the codes. She was contradictory of herself in string she understood that last time I had lights on in the dash and the scanner didn't pull any codes, but followed that up by saying, if there is a light on the dash now, if I brought the car back or if it was looked at and scanned Monday, it would pull the code. That is the whole reason the service manager said to bring it in right away the next time a light came on, so that they could pull a for sure code. Such a terrible experience in service. I was a journeyman tech for another dealership and we never treated customers this way. Handless should sell this store to the group that owns Kia down the street. I inspected the car and looked at everything I messed up by not looking at it closer. They added a lot tire shine to the tires and I didn't notice how much dry rot these tires had till some dust settled into them coming back home same day. I made a complaint same day and it took a total of 3 days to get an answer. If you purchase a pre owned vehicle from this place take the time to look at EVERYTHING. Never returning here again. The turnover is so high that there seems to be a new Service Advisor every few months, and it really shows, no one seems happy to be there, and the service reflects it. When I brought up concerns about my previous visit, the Service Advisor, Marinca, showed zero interest in listening, despite the fact that I'm paying for these services and have every right to ask questions. A few things stood out during this visit: 1. No one called me when my service was completed. 2. The cashier seemed completely unorganized, unsure of which customers had completed paperwork and which didn't. 3. Marinca actually raised her voice at me, insisting that a summary of work without a wet signature is a legally binding document. 4. If you tell a customer that their previous service only included a tire rotation and oil change, don't get upset when you realize you misspoke. A simple correction and an apology would have gone a long way. 5. I specifically said that if my brakes needed to be replaced, to go ahead and do it. So why was it listed only as "recommended" instead of actually being completed? And to make things worse, this is the second time they've forgotten to update my vehicle's service mileage. I had to fix it myself - again. If you're looking for a chaotic, low-quality service experience, Hilltop Hyundai is the spot. When I first raised the issue, the salesperson brushed it off as a simple loose screw. However, after taking the vehicle to the service center, I was told the repair would cost about $14K. Take this as a reminder to do your due diligence before buying--thoroughly inspect any vehicle you're considering. In my experience, this dealership seemed more focused on hitting end-of-month sales quotas (the car had just arrived on the lot) than on ensuring the vehicle was actually sound. The salesperson I worked with, Joe'l, was overall easy to work with. Unfortunately, the finance manager was the complete opposite. I don't recall his name, but he was a short guy who became very defensive when I declined the add-on warranties. He repeatedly tried to pressure me into buying extras I didn't need, even saying, "I'm two warranty sales away from getting a paid trip to Hawaii and you're not going to help me get there." After 2 1/2 hours it's another 45 minutes that turned into an hour, maybe a little longer. I lost track. If a customer makes an appointment you should tell them that's not when your car goes in instead of waiting 4 hours to say that. They really could care less about you. It looked and felt like a demo car or one that had been neglected on the lot -- not a fresh-from-factory vehicle. My sales rep, Joe'l Arances, was polite, but unfortunately didn't ensure the vehicle was delivered in a presentable or customer-ready condition. That's a basic expectation that was missed. To top it off, the finance manager Mohamed aggressively pushed a tire and maintenance warranty, making it seem like something I had to get -- as if Hyundai didn't already include a factory warranty. The upsell pressure was uncomfortable and made the process feel more like a sales trap than a professional car purchase. At this point, I can only hope the warranties -- both factory and the ones I was pressured into buying -- will be honored when needed. I expected more from a dealership representing Hyundai. They listed a Prius V 13,999 with ~ 96k miles. I offered 8 and they balked, asking if that was the number they wanted me to bring to the sales manager. This car has a cracked tail light and duct tape on the rear cargo cover. When I came to visit, two sales people tried to sell me a Prius C, as if it was the same vehicle -- I had to explain to them that it is not the same car, it's not useful for my needs. They put 6k miles on the Prius V, and relisted it for 10,950. I was told I must not understand the market and when I mentioned other cars such as Prius V 5 in better condition for 10,500 they asked "Why don't you go and get it then?" The people here are condescending and rude. The cars they sell are not qualified for resale by a dealer. For reference, a Prius V 3 in good condition. Going forward, any discourse I have with dealers regarding pricing will be passed through ChatGPT to avoid condescension. Jesse advised me to gather all the service records, which took me almost a week to collect from various shops. When I returned to the Hyundai representative with these records, he said they were not needed because Hyundai had already denied the claim. I feel that Jesse should have been more transparent with me, as he initially asked for the records but then they were disregarded, making it a complete waste of my time. Worst dealership I've ever dealt with and a lying, thieving car manufacturer. Avoid at all costs if you want to retain your sanity and money. I've been here for several recalls over the years, which goes to show how shitty Hyundai as a company really is. First of all, my Hyundai was stolen after I got the anti-theft software update that I waited 2 hours for. When I took my car back after I recovered it to inspect the anti-theft system per Hyundai's request, their service consultant, Anselmo, shrugged me off and told me that it doesn't really prevent theft and that it only "prolongs the inevitable" - his exact words. What a thing to openly admit to a customer and unbelievable that the class action lawsuit does not take this into account. I was taken aback by his demeanor and response, despite Hyundai emailing them details of what they wanted done, he was clueless and unhelpful. I had to find someone else who knew what Hyundai sent me in here for and it took them 3 hours just to inspect a system that apparently doesn't even work for my car and told me "it's installed" and that's all they can do. Their connectivity stopped in the middle of the inspection. What an absolute joke. This place seems to be run by inexperienced, careless people. And even worse of all, Hyundai LIED about the effectiveness of this anti theft software upgrade and gave me a false sense of security and my car was stolen. The lawsuit provides nowhere near enough of a settlement for all the crimes they've committed. Never buying from this corner-cutting, shady car company again. read more

last month I bought a used BMW convertible from hanlees hilltop hyundai. the sales associate was great, the car was exactly what I had been looking for and the price was right. The only problem? the brakes squealed during the test drive. I asked to speak with someone to check on the breaks, and a service manager (?) came out with a report saying the car had been completely checked out, including the brakes, the rotors and pads had been replaced, and the squealing was probably due to the fact that the car had been sitting outside on the lot, etc. Basically, drive the car and it will be fine. Over the next few weeks, the squealing got worse and worse, so I took the car to my own mechanic who found that the rotors had NOT been replaced. They were old, rusty -- and I was out over $1700 to have the work done. I have left numerous messages in order to speak with a manager and NO ONE has had the courtesy to get back to me (other than "mia Holmes", an AI chatbot who does not exist but nonetheless texts that her team will be getting back to me. ) In the event that i do not get a response this week, I will be addressing this matter in small claims court. I hate to think that I was taken advantage of because I am a woman, but I doubt I would have gotten this treatment had my husband or sons-in-law been with me. Shameful. read more

I was speaking with the parts guy about a special that the repair shop was running on their website and the rude young lady yelled from behind a partition I never heard about that special repeatedly. The usual dishonest car salesmen BS. Friendly and happy to talk to you when you walk in the door. Then you start negotiating the price, and they try to obscure everything by talking about the monthly cost, and even acted like I was the crazy one when I wanted to talk about the out the door price instead, pretending to not understand why I would want to talk about the total cost of the car and not monthly payments. When they started getting belligerent is when it was time to leave. Took a few extra hours to go to a different Hyundai dealer in the area and was a more pleasant process from there. read more

I've been out there twice for a recall repair. They didn't have the part the first time but said they would call when they did. MONTHS later they finally called, said they had the part, and made the appointment. I just went there and was told they still don't have the part. It wouldn't be quite as annoying if it was nearby, but this took an hour and a half! I love my car, but HATE the dealership. I would take it elsewhere if I could, but it's still under warranty, so I have to go to a dealer. read more

Poorest of customer service. Sales Dept polices are misleading and in my interaction I have found them to be very untruthful.
