Is this the teokbokki that we have been looking for? Sadly, no... My criteria is quite easy: flavor and texture. Both weren't impressive, and I can probably make from scratch after getting all the ingredients from hmart right there. We went for spicy but it wasn't spicy. Would i come back? Sadly, no. Would I recommend to someone else? Sadly, no.
Was in the area and decided to check this place out! I saw it on IG but that didn't specify it was in the h mart so I was lowkey a lil confused at first lmao. It is inside the Hmart cafeteria, all the way in the back. Anyways got there around noon on a Saturday. There was 2-3 people in front of me in line. I got the beef brisket rose tteobokki, no cheese, medium spice. It was about $25. It took about 15 min for it to come out. It was a looooot of food, I could only finish a little less than half. The tteobokki was long, chewy and bouncy, fun to eat. There maybe 5-6 pieces of the long tteobokki, just fyi. The ramen was a nice texture contrast and the beef brisket was seasoned well. The egg and mandus was a nice touch in between bites. The sauce was spicy sweet. I asked for to/go container from the cashier. Clean up was simple and I put the trays back to the rack by entrance Pretty good cheat mealllll
This place is one of many that I would return to. The parking here is not great but you will find a spot since there is a lot of people coming and going. This is a new spot inside H Mart. The staff is friendly and very helpful when trying to decide which dish is a better choice to get. I ordered the tteokbokki with beef. Since I had opt for the less spicy version, I was given the rose. It seems creamier than the original, almost tastes cheesy. The rice cakes came out as these long noodles which I seem to love. Would def come back for this dish. So convenient since it is a market. Van order food and then grab a drink while waiting. Plenty of seating. Self clean up, just need to return your tray and they take care of the rest.

We tried the beef brisket rose topokki and the tteokbokki was really soft and chewy. The tteokbokki also absorbed the rose sauce very well which I feel like a lot of tteokbokkis fail to do. I also like how it came with ramen noodles and dumplings! Everything tasted really good together. The flavor of the sauce reminded me of spicy vodka rigatoni. The large portion size was good for 2 people granted we didn't eat breakfast and went on a hike before. We came here on a Wednesday lunch and it wasn't busy at all.
Dduk is located inside Hmart's mini food court. I had just finished grocery shopping and decided to grab some food togo. I came on a Tuesday around 11:15am and was able to order right away. They gave me a receipt with a number that they would call out when my food was ready. It took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready. They had a condimentant station where you can get sauces togo. There was ketchup, mustard, mayo, sweet chili sauce and even sugar. I ordered.. #12 BEEF BRISKET ROSE TOPOKKI $24 -size medium, less spicy. It came out piping hot. I went to my car and had to try it right away. It came with beef brisket, longggg topokki, ramen, fish cake, 1/2 boiled egg, 2 fried japchae dumplings, cabbage and green onion. The ramen and topikki had a nice chew to them. The brisket was tender but not too much flavor, so I just mixed it into the rose sauce. The rose sauce was creamy and a bit on the sweeter side but I enjoyed it. The cabbage was a bit bitter. 3/5* 1/2 & 1/2 POTATO HOT DOG $11 -the potato hot dog itself was $8, but I got half cheese and half hot dog so it was another $3. I also had it sprinkled with sugar but you can get that togo on the side at their condiment station. The hot dog came out piping hot and super crispy. The crinkle cut fries had a nice crunch to them. The cheese was ooey gooey and the hotdog was tasty. Very hearty. 4/5* The cashier / staff were friendly and informative. I've come back a few times for togo and I'd order the same two items. The potato hot dog was always good but the rose toppoki would be a hit or miss.
The Beef Brisket Rose Tteokbokki is the move here. Sauce is rich, rice cakes are soft not rubbery, but order at least one level above mild if you want any actual heat. The Potato Half Half Corn Dog is good but the sausage pulls away from the potato breading when you bite into it. I would come get it again if I was grocery shopping at H Mart. The service was nice and quick, got my food under 10 minutes and the ambiance is just a regular food court which is fine!
This is my 4th time coming back. I've been wanting to try the corn dogs and today was finally the day since I'm not too hungry for my usual rose topokki! I recommended my friend to try the rose topokki and they really liked it. As expected the medium was too much for one sitting so they will get to eat the leftovers for dinner! I'm pretty picky on getting drinks and I actually really liked their yogurt drinks but sadly the worker said they don't sell them anymore! Boo! Regardless still a solid place for me. I did thought the hot cheetos corndog would be more flavorful. I'll most likely go back to their topokki next time over the corn dogs.

Order via cashier or QR code. We tried a few dishes like the... *Beef Bowl (4/5) - marinated beef & onions over steamed rice. *Half & Half Chicken (yangnyeom & soy garlic) - breaded boneless chicken with the choice of sauces. *Beef Brisket Rose Topokki (4/5) - flavorful filled with noodles, marinated beef, mandarin, etc. *Soft Tofu Ramyun (3/5) *Mango Yogurt drink (3/5) Overall, it was pretty good and everybody seemed to enjoy each dish. We'll be back to try their other dishes.
They close their kitchen at 8:30pm. The hours on Yelp disappeared but I was there on a Friday evening and they closed exactly at 8:30pm; confirmed with staff. Had the Brisket Rose Topokki and the Half and Half Chicken with Soy Garlic and Sweet Corn. The mild spiced Brisket Rose Topokki was very good. Well balanced sauce, not too sweet, not to creamy, not too fishy. The dish came with perfectly soft chewy extra long rice cakes, ramen noodles, thinly sliced brisket, fish cakes, half a hard boiled egg, and topped with 2 non meat pot stickers. Good portion, enough for two people. Also can be ordered regular spice level. The boneless chicken were on a pricey side but good. The Soy Garlic pairs better with rice; sweet with slight garlic flavor. The Sweet Corn chicken were much crispier, covered with sweet corn powder. It reminds me of buttered corn taste. Both made with dark meat chicken. Also came with 2 pieces of sweet corn sprinkled with the same sweet corn powder as the chicken. I'd definitely go back to try the other dishes.
Wow!! This place is trendy for a reason, even tho it's inside an H mart do not underestimate how fresh and delicious this place is. Some of the best K Street food I've had, the rice cakes are perfectly soft yet chewy and had the best bite to them. The chicken was moist and delicious and perfect to share. My friend and I split a Korean dog and it wasn't oily at all it was so fresh and crispy and paired so well with the dduk sauce. Definitely the place to go for late night eats or with friends.
Finally! Hmart has been missing out on foot traffic ever since bazak bazak/myungrang left. And I've been missing out on my cheese dogs! Came on Friday evening shortly after their grand opening and it was busy! About 10+ people in front of me in line. I overheard another group say 40 minute wait for food. There was only about 13 orders ahead of me so I don't think it would actually be 40 minutes. We ordered the T3, fried cheese chicken tteokbokki. Was gonna get the brisket but I can't say no to fried chicken. $28 for the large I think. And one potato cheese dog (minus the dog). Surprised it costs extra $2.50 for only cheese no dog. So $10.50 for that diabolical. I haven't been to Myungrang Cupertino in a long time but DoorDash says it's $7.25 for the potato cheese dog, and that's probably including some sort of DoorDash markup. Then spent 10 minutes grocery shopping, only needed fish balls and udon for home. Then I had to wait. Brought the food home since the seating area was packed we live close enough. It was pretty good. I'd do it again if there was a shorter wait. Order first then shop. It did end up taking about 42 minutes. The cheese dog was cold by the time we ate it but I microwaved it for 15 seconds and it was good. Still, $10. The tteokbokki was good but maybe I shouldn't have gotten large. We were both super full by the end. It has a lot of variety. Long chewy rice cakes, ramyun noodles, mandu, fried chicken, cheese, fish cake, kimchi, shredded green onion, half a boiled egg. I just wish there was a little more sauce.
Saw their sign a couple weeks ago when I was grabbing snacks for work and decided to try it this week. It's in a supermarket, so it was a little loud but can still have a conversation. They're located in the back corner where the Korean hotdog place used to be. Workers were nice! I ordered the beef brisket topokki to-go. The flavor was a 3.5. It was typical topokki flavor, but I got hot and the guy at the cashier was like yeah it's definitely hot-- it was mild. What made it a 4 is the LARGE rice cakes (different vibe from the cut up small pieces) and the portion size. I mean for $23 worth of food that shouldn't be expensive when purchasing in bulk, I would hope it would come with a lot. Satisfied my craving. I will be back to try the hotdogs!
Came by during their grand opening phase but overall still a solid experience. They were running a promo for a free small drink, but unfortunately they were already out for the day. There are so many options on the menu, which I loved. I ended up getting the medium beef brisket tteokbokki about $25, and the portion is honestly good for two. It gets really filling once you start digging in. The long rice cakes were interesting, and I ended up cutting them up to make them easier to eat. They tasted house-made -- super bouncy and chewy, which I really enjoyed! The mandu has a japchae filling which is probably one of my favorites. The beef was a good amount and on the fattier side. The sauce was definitely on the sweeter side for my preference but that's probably because I'm a savory girl. Food did take a while- about 25-30 minutes. but I'm hoping that improves as they settle in since they're still pretty new. Location-wise, they're inside the HMart food court, tucked near the restrooms in the corner. The space is very casual and chill, with plenty of tables and even some bar-style seating. Pro tip: do your grocery shopping while you wait. It makes the time go by much faster!

Dduk Dabang is a very friendly restaurant. The service was excellent, they were super helpful with any questions we had and truly helped us pick a meal better suited to our liking. The options are incredible and the serving portions are very satisfying. The drinks are also very delicious and fresh. I'm glad I got to try it while being out in San Jose and will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends going to San Jose! read more

Came here on a Tuesday evening for dinner. The restaurant is located inside of Hmart. Once you enter the store, you turn left and it's at the end next to the bathrooms. Since Hmart is in a big plaza (with other cafes, restaurants and various retailers!), there's lots of parking but it's always really busy and the spaces are rather tight. Since the restaurant is inside a mini food court, you order at the counter and then once your number is called, you pick up your food and can sit in any free space. They have a couple screens above the counter to indicate your order numbers which is nice in case you miss hearing the announcement. The restaurant also shares a space with another restaurant. At the time we arrived, there was a lot of space, but the line was looking pretty long when we were leaving. They offer different types of ramen, fried chicken, tteokbokki and corn dogs. We ordered the soft tofu ramen, the original fried chicken and a mango yogurt drink. There's an option to add a yogurt drink at a 20% discount (not applicable to the corn dogs though). The drink tasted good and had a slushy consistency, but was sweeter than I preferred. The original chicken was akin to chicken tenders as it was boneless, but the chicken was nice and crunchy, but not dry. They also gave a decent amount. The ramen was a bit salty, but it included a lot of veggies such as seaweed, carrots, cabbage and beansprouts. Once you're done with your food, there's a spot to put your trays away. Overall, I'd come here again for the chicken and would love to try the other dishes, such as the tteokbokki! read more

What's better than regular tteokbokki? Extra-long tteokbokki loaded with toppings. All of my close friends sent me the same reels about this food court spot inside SJ H-Mart over the weekend, so I knew I had to check it out. Love the vibrant red and yellow color theme, paired nicely with the cute tiger in their logo. Dduk Dabang definitely makes the H-Mart food court feel more lively. There was a line during my weekday visit, but it moved quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful--they explained the menu and gave recommendations during my first visit. There is a variety of items on their menu, mainly focusing on tteokbokki and Korean street food like ramyun, hot dogs, gimbap, fried chicken, and more. I ordered the T1 Beef Brisket Topokki (less spicy, with added ramen and cheese) and C5 Half & Half Chicken (Sweet Corn & Soy Garlic) to share with my friend. The food took about 30-40 minutes, the fried chicken came out first, and the Topokki followed about 10 minutes later. My favorite was definitely the Topokki. The extra-long rice cakes were soft, chewy, and fresh. It was loaded with beef brisket, two crispy fried mandu, half a boiled egg, fish cake, ramen, and some veggies. The portion was huge, definitely enough to share between 2-3 people. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking, but still very enjoyable. My friend and I finished the whole thing, it was a well-spent $32. The fried chicken was good, the batter was crispy and flaky, and the seasoning was on point. But $29 for 8 pieces is too expensive imo. I also don't really understand the extra charge for different flavors. The Sweet Corn chicken (medium) is $19 and Soy Garlic (medium) is $21, but if you get half-and-half, Soy Garlic is +$2 and Sweet Corn is +$3... the math is not mathing for me lol. But I still had a great first visit at Dduk Dabang, would definitely come back for more tteokbokki and to try other items, but I'd skip the fried chicken next time. read more
Dduk Dabang is now open in San Jose! They're located inside the Eatery Food Hall inside HMart. They serve Korean street food and their most popular item is the topokki with extra long tteokbokki (Korean rice cakes). The portions are big and so many options available! I got the signature beef brisket one that comes with mandu, fishcake, ramen and egg. I went with less spicy so the sauce was more sweet. They also have ramen, rice bowls, fried chicken, and hot dogs on the menu! The fried chicken is nicely fried and tasty. read more
The tteokbokki was pretty good! I added mozzarella, which really elevated the dish for me. I do think the meat could have been a little better, but for an H Mart restaurant, definitely not bad. I tried the yogurt drinks because they had a combo available, but they were waaay too sweet. I took a few sips and threw the rest away. The staff was friendly. read more
They replaced the other Korean Hot Dog place inside HMart but now with other amazing things on their menu! The line was pretty long when we were there and seating area was pretty small in size. The food did come out fresh and I do like the rose ttetboki. The menu has other things that I would love to try! It's great for a quick bite or snack! read more
came here around 7:15 pm on a saturday with my girlfriend, since this is in a grocery store it was pretty packed but good amount of tables and seating areas to eat. h mart's parking lot is huge so there shouldn't be a problem finding parking, this place is located to the left when you enter h mart and it has its on designated food court area as well. there are condiments and everything as well. for drinks: peach & mango yogurt drink - couldn't really tell the difference at times but honestly if you like yakult this would be such a good refreshing drink. sweet potato & hot cheeto korean corn dog (both half & half) - the sweet potatoes were cooked to perfection and the cheese pull was insane. plentiful amount to feed 2 people. the hot cheetos was also very good and the batter is nice, i would say these are super filling but that's a good thing. beef brisket topokki - the sauce was so good and rich. the rice cake was so long and also thick, the noodles were al dente, and the beef brisket tasted super good as well. half & half korean fried chicken (soy garlic & yangnyeom) - the shape of these chickens were like tenders and i thought that was perfect, the flavors were on point. i highly recommend if you are done with shopping and want some korean street food!!!! read more

Tteokbokki spot with long noodle-like tteok (rice cake). We got the cheese chicken tteokbokki and while it had good flavor, the chicken wasn't my favorite. There's a super cute photobooth right next to the dining area-would recommend! read more
Stopped in on a Wednesday evening after work with a friend of mine for dinner. I've been to H Mart for the Korean corn dogs but it's been some time since I've come in and they have lots of other things on the menu now. We came in to try the beef brisket toppoki. We both got a mild spice and the medium size bowl which is huge and can be a little on the pricy side as it's $25 for a medium bowl. However I don't mind the price when the item can become two meals for the portion size. I loved the rice cake soft and chewy and the dumplings and beef were a good add to the meal. We ordered and received our food rather quickly despite the line growing as we ordered. Drove down from Sacramento after seeing an ig reel about this place. Hands down the best tteobokki I've ever had. Perfect amount of spicy and sweet. The noodles are perfect texture. I got a medium and it was soooo much food. I think I'll ask for extra cheese next time though. The dumplings were stuffed with glass noodles and were a bit tasteless. Was really looking forward to trying this place, but came out disappointed :( The food was too sweet overall, almost even dessert-like sweetness. I wanted to love it because of all the social media hype but it was okay. Nothing bad about it. It was tasty and so fun to get those super long rice cakes but I paid $33 for mine because I added a few things... cheese was one I think.... I posted a pic I don't know if the value is there. It's in a food court in hmart. I can think of a few other places I spend $33. I'm going to go back and try their Korean dogs. read more

Taste: 10/10 Service: order by the food court Environment: ~hmart food court nothing special We ordered beef brisket less spicy rosé topokki and the classic kimbap bulgogi. We recommend ordering regular spicy for the rosé topokki since it already is less spicy compared to the others. One of the best topokki I had. The kimbap was also tasty. We were here a few days after grand opening. The portion size of both item are very generous, and the wait wasn't too long despite a big line of people during a weekday lunch hour. read more

Went here Friday night around 8pm, located inside HMart in the food court area. Super busy and most tables were taken up in the foot court. Line was very long to order. We ordered 2 dishes and ended up waiting an insanely long time. We ordered around 8:35 and got our food at 9:25. Almost an hour wait which was unbelievable! Not sure if they had issues with our order but all other orders got served ahead of us yet ours was the very last one. Due to this wait time, the business decided to give us condolences for waiting for long with coupons for next time we come. If you eat here just be aware of the wait times during peak dinner hours! When we received the food we rate the Soy Garlic Wings a 9/10, flavorful & crunchy with no bones. The Beef Topokki was disappointing in our opinion rating a 4/10. The rice cakes had good consistency but the whole dish was rather flavorless and bland. Would not order the topokki again. Other than that, nice seating area & sauce area with a warm atmosphere. read more

the fried chicken is so good here; crispy & the chicken is tender/juicy. the soy garlic is a classic and the sweet corn flavor is unique since you can't really get this flavor anywhere. i loved both and also their cheese chicken topokki is just as good, sweet & spicy. 11/10!! read more

The girl at the cashier was helpful. Ordered two items, i enjoyed the jalapeño kimbab. Its the soy based pickled jalapeño. If you like more tart vinegary food than i suggest this. The tteokbokki is sweet for my taste even tho i ordered spicy level. Its not yupdduk style at all. I shouldve bought buldak x2 sauce at the hmart and pour it all over. read more

Service was excellent. Our first time here , FOOD IS DELICIOUS. I got the T1 combo - beef brisket S P I C Y and I got exactly what I was looking for. Meat was very tender. Noodles great flavor and the katsu kimbapppp. Omg just come try it !! Soo good. read more
