Intestine Combo (small and large intestine)
    Dante B.

First time visiting the Sunnyvale location and noticed the menu is a bit different from the Oakland spot. We ordered the medium intestine combo with both large and small intestine. Portions here actually felt bigger than what we've had in Oakland, and our server was kind enough to accommodate us with a double portion of large intestine even though she mentioned it normally isn't allowed -- really appreciated that gesture. We also ordered the kalbi jjim. Flavor-wise it was delicious and well prepared, but the portion felt quite small for the $75 price point. We came in for a late dinner and did feel a bit rushed toward the end of our meal. Although closing time was 11pm, there was noticeable pressure to wrap up about 15 minutes beforehand, which made the experience slightly uncomfortable. Parking: Plenty of space in the shared lot.

Love this place. Delicious bon chon and great K-bbq

Absolutely delicious food. What I like about this place is the fact that I don't need to cook the food and they cook it for you. Unlike other Korean restaurants that serve K BBQ. Delicious bon chon. Service was good. Ambience is good, but the restroom kind of has a foul smell. Otherwise it would have been a 5 star review

A new Korean BBQ place, I had the pleasure of being invited as a guest from a friend, so I just got to go with the flow and ate whatever they ordered for the table. I believe they got the beef combo platter. I believe it was four different cuts of beef. All I remember was that all the beef we got was tender, fatty, and buttery (in the good beefiness way). The interior kind of reminds me of old school vibe of place, like kind of grit and grind where after a hard days of where, you come here and just enjoy the grilling of meat and drinks with your peers and friends. Our waitress did a good job of getting to us as I believe we did ask for more salads and other side dishes pretty frequently. Come check this place out of y'all have the time.

Beef Set B - prime brisket

Came on a weekday night and got a table immediately. As a party of 2, we decided to order the beef set B but really wanted the tartare (yukhoe) so we got that as well. The tartare was delicious. Although it wasn't served with slices of Korean pear, it held the sweetness of the pears from the marinade and was perfect when paired with a little wasabi. The beef set B came with beef brisket, LA galbi, and the monster beef rib. All 3 cuts were good but the monster beef rib was definitely the star. So tender and fatty while still tasting beefy and meaty. I think the set B menu would've been enough for 2 people with a medium appetite but with 3 or more, would probably need to be supplemented with some ala carte meats. With our extra order of tartare, the 2 of us were stuffed and very satisfied. Staff was very attentive and friendly. They cook for you but also come by to check in even when the meats are done cooking. Good selection of regular and flavored soju, as well as beer and makgeolli too! I'll definitely be back!

Expensive spot but always a good time with quality food and amazing table side service! Three friends and I shared the Beef Set A which comes with prime brisket, LA galbi, marinated boneless galbi, choice of kimchi or soybean stew, and a bunch of sides. The meat is cooked right in front of you and they also serve the soup for you. I'd definitely recommend this set for 3 people rather than 4. We were satisfied but had to get an extra order of kimchi fried rice in the side to reach that point. Everything always tastes super fresh and yummy though! A large space indeed! Super clean and well decorated for the holidays. Always welcoming too. Would recommend for a splurge!

We came back again on Thanksgiving, great service and food! This time we ordered LA Galbi again, galbitang, tofu soup and fried chicken. It reminds me of the delicious Kbbq in Oakland when I was growing up. Everything was so satisfying, this is our new favorite Kbbq spot :)

Another new KBBQ spot in South Bay, so of course I'll be giving them a try to report back! Don Blanc is the second location of the Don Blanc is Oakland and they serve beef, pork, and intestines. There are no places in the Bay that serve intestines so I was really excited to see if this place would become my go-to. I was able to make a reservation easily over the phone and we were seated promptly. Our reservation was at 6pm and the restaurant started filling up by 7pm, so I recommend making a reservation during the weekends to ensure you get a table. My party of 6 ordered the pork combo for 3 and the intestine combo for 3. My favorite cut was the pork jowl because it was cut thinner so the edges really crisped up. One of the sauces for the intestines was also really good - I think it was fish sauce based? The kimchi jigae was flavorful and was the perfect accompaniment to the greasy pork. The server also grills the meat for us, which is a nice bonus. Being Korean (and impatient), we were flipping and cutting the meat half the time. Service was friendly and attentive as well. Don Blanc is a nice addition to the ever-growing list of KBBQ spots in the Bay, but I'm not complaining! Love that they have intestines.

Came on a Thursday for a late night dinner. There was only one other group there and I think people are sleeping on this place. Quick service was provided, your server cooks for you, and meat quality was one of the best I've had in the Bay Area. I've been to Korea a few times and I felt the Korean restaurant vibe/atmosphere here. Not many places offer makgeolli either so that was a bonus! We ordered Beef Type A menu (Prime Brisket, Angus Short Rib, "LA Galbi", and your choice kimchi soup (has pork)/ or soybean soup (with beef). Marinated Boneless Galbi Enough to serve 3 people comfortably without feeling overly stuffed. Rice sold separately. Would highly recommend this spot and will definitely be returning!

Solid choice for Korean barbecue. They have some nice combo meals that makes it easy to order in a large group. Food came out pretty quickly. Waitress was generous to give us lots of garlic since my friend and I loved it. My only complaint is that the marinated crab tasted still kind of frozen. We asked to have the Tteokbokki really spicy, but it was still like medium spice, or is that just our spice tolerance? It's also great that there's plenty of parking in this lot unlike some other plazas on this street. I'd come back again with a large party. Service - 5 / Ambiance - 5 / Food - 4 / Price - 3.5

This was the best KBBQ I've ever had in the Bay! My friends from the area invited me, and I'm really glad I came! First off, this dinner was pricey, but we really got what we paid for. It was split between 3 of us, which lessened the damage, lol. The meats were amazing, and the table service was excellent as well! We ordered the Don Blanc set, and all the meats were delicious! The snowflake boneless galbi was the highlight! So flavorful! All the banchan were great, and the kimchi stew was tasty as well! And throughout the meal, we were chatting with our server, who was a hardcore K-Pop stan, lol! All in all, this really was the best KBBQ I've had in the Bay, and I will be back!

Went here on my anniversary because I kept seeing videos of this place. I'm going to be straight forward, it's come a time we need to be careful with all these influencers posting videos. If you search this up you see tons of videos but I feel it's all hype. I got the combo b beef with pork jowl and the fried chicken. The meat itself was extremely good, tender, and flavorful. Sure they cook it for you which made the service great. We came for the dinner menu and I reserved a table at 5:30. We were the only people there for the first hour which felt a little odd. The kimchi soup was salty and the banchan was average. Again the meat good but for the price we paid it was almost $150 per person including tip. That is a very steep price but since it was a one time thing we learned now to not trust everyone that posts.

I'd like to first thank our cook and host, Minho J., for being such a true professional. He was kind and treated me and my wife like family. Our topics of conversation made our experience dining in, that much better. The menu is similar to most KBBQ restaurants with either individual meat items/dishes or by the meat package such as beef or pork. We went with Beef Set A: prime brisket, angus short rib, and marinated boneless galbi. This was for $125 and there is plenty of meat for two people. There is complimentary white rice so that's a huge plus. Of course, you get a cook to grill and slice your meats. The vent is pretty strong and sucks up the smoke from the bbq so the scent doesn't linger onto your clothes. The meats are tender and pretty high in quality. Everything is marinated just right and tastes delicious. The set comes with soup so we enjoyed our soybean soup. There is no complimentary scrambled egg or cheesy corn so expect to purchase these separately. My wife and I loved it here so much and will definitely come back again for more. I hope this location does get a facelift from the outside to add more appeal. It looks dull and abandoned from the outside. Overall, this is a solid Kbbq spot and worth trying.

    Snowflake Premium Boneless Galbi
    Joanne L.

Time and time again, I've been let down by KBBQ options in the Bay Area, and Don Blanc was no exception. We decided to give it a try because of their grand opening deal--prime king galbi for $48 (regularly $80). Honestly, I wouldn't have paid full price for it. The meat quality wasn't impressive and tasted like any other marinated galbi. The Snowflake Boneless Galbi was noticeably better, but at $70 for about 16 pieces, it felt steep. Another drawback was the ventilation--none of the fans were working, which made the dining room very stuffy. On the positive side, service was excellent; the staff cooked everything for us, which is what I prefer over cooking it ourselves. Overall, I have had better KBBQ elsewhere so I will pass on this.

This is not "trendy K-BBQ." This is craft. Premium Beef Sets The two beef platters show exactly why this restaurant has earned its reputation. Cuts are uniform, balanced, and beautifully marbled - not over-trimmed, not sloppy. You can tell each cut was selected with intent. And then comes the part that separates Jang Su Jang from the rest: The Ajeumma Grill Masters The ajumma who handle the grill are true specialists. They adjust heat, angle, and timing with an instinct that can't be engineered - it's earned through years of repetition. Fatty cuts get brief exposure to maximize aroma. Leaner cuts are rested, turned, and finished with restraint. Everything lands at the table tender, glossy, and perfectly rendered. This is the kind of skill you don't fake. Signature "Wang Mandu" Dumplings These oversized dumplings - often associated with Pyongyang/North Korean culinary tradition - are beautifully pleated, delicate, and generously filled. The wrapper stays thin; the interior stays juicy. A standout item, and a rarity in the Bay Area. Cold Noodles (Naengmyeon) A textbook bowl: * Broth clean and chilled * Buckwheat noodles with bounce instead of mush * Two precise slices of beef on top -- tender, thin, and chosen specifically because they don't fight the noodles' texture A lot of restaurants get this wrong; Jang Su Jang gets it exactly right. Spicy Shredded Beef Noodle Soup Deep red broth, long strands of tender shredded beef, and vegetables cut for texture rather than decoration. A bowl built for cold days, and executed with discipline. Service & Atmosphere Service here is closer to Korean fine dining than casual K-BBQ: * Full uniforms * Structured training * Staff who monitor your grill without interrupting * Adjusting cuts based on who's at the table * Cutting, rotating, and finishing the meat so you don't have to guess You feel taken care of - not rushed, not ignored. And yes, you'll leave with a little grill aroma on your clothes. That's the mark of a proper K-BBQ house - an imprint of the experience. A Note on Hanwoo If you truly want to experience Hanwoo, the most direct path is simple: from SFO or SJC, a few hours in the air puts you in Seoul eating the real thing. But within the Bay Area, Jang Su Jang is the closest expression of classical Korean grilling done right. If any restaurant here were to introduce Hanwoo one day, this is the one that deserves to serve it. In a region full of modern, high-tech, all-you-can-eat K-BBQ concepts, Jang Su Jang stands alone as the Bay Area's classical Korean reference point - precise, disciplined, and anchored in real craft. Our dishes arrived minutes after we sat down, which was impressive. There was also a variety of delicious side dishes, with various types of kimchi. The nine of us split two braised beef short rib dishes - and we were struggling to finish it all. The portion size is massive, which makes sense since it's a pretty penny. The meat was so tender, literally falling off the bone. There were a ton of potatoes, daikon, rice cake, and carrots as well. The entire dish was savory and delicious, pairing perfectly with rice.
