The final invoice amount matched the quote (not always possible, but nice), and he and Jaime resolved our issue quickly with a little masterclass on the side which would helpful for most people, but not me. I have a nearly 20 year old Hague Water Max and did a minor repair myself which then caused the system not to work at all! My drinking water faucet started to leak and I called them to get it repaired. They were able to come in few days which was good for me. They technician arrived on time and was very polite. He assessed the issue and worked to resolved it right away. He spent reasonable time and handed it over when it all looked clean and finished. The new faucet looks beautiful. He left everything clean. They offered to replace the faucet for free if I take the filters replacement. I went with that as the filters needed replacement anyway. They didn't charge for extra labor, but did charge small price for the faucet part. Was not an issue for me as it seemed fair. We just finished remodeling the kitchen and bathrooms and was able to see first-hand the damage the hard water did to our fixtures and appliances. I wasn't going to let that happen again. I needed a water softener and RO system for drinking. True-tech was the second water company rep I spoke to, and after Steve laid out his knowledge and honesty, I knew I had found my "Water Guy." I found Steve and True-Tech water trough the signs in their cars, called them and could not be happier I did. Over the last year we went through a long renovation process in our house and had to deal with lots of contractors/service providers. In the middle of all this real state craziness in the Bay Area if one has needed help like we did, they will understand why I started my review in this fashion. The point is, out of all the dozens of people we worked with, True-Tech was by far the best. They will come when they say they do, follow-up on all the details, be very transparent throughout the whole process and last but not least follow-up after the sale/installation. They came twice after the job was done (separated by a few weeks each visit) to test the water. Not only we are very happy with the water softener, the product works like a charm but they went above and beyond to help us before the actual installation happened. I was delaying the job due to a plumber recommending us to replace an inlet water filter (which would have expensive), True-tech water guys came and showed us the softener already has a built-in filter more powerful than what I was about to get (saved us money) and did all the plumbing required for the installation including the bypass lines for the sprinklers. By the way, I did a lot of homework on water softeners before we bought ours and their price was very competitive for the high end type of products. When it was time to replace our old water softener I gave Steve a call to inquire about our options. I had already done my own research but still had a fair number of questions about softening systems in general and the Hague models Steve sells in particular. Steve was very generous with his time. He listened well and addressed all of my concerns without making me feel pressured in any way. Once I was ready to proceed, Steve came out a few days later. I signed the paperwork and scheduled the installation. Steve was as nice in person as he was on the phone. Very courteous and just a pleasure to talk to. Another few days later, the actual installation of the new system went without a hitch except that a different model from what I had ordered was delivered by accident. Steve immediately admitted the mistake, apologized extensively and promised to be back and install the correct system. Since my old system had already been uninstalled, he let us use the new (but wrong) model in the meantime. While we were waiting for the replacement model to arrive, Steve kept in touch with me on a regular basis and updated me on the ETA of the replacement system. When the correct model finally did arrive, it was a relatively quick swap-out since all the connections were a 1:1 match. During the entire purchase and installation process I felt extremely well taken care of. Steve communicates clearly and regularly, is trustworthy and without a doubt makes customer satisfaction his #1 priority. I would love to do more business with him but, sadly, Steve only sells water softener systems.
