This was a nice spot for us to visit w/ our little ones over Memorial Day Weekend. They have a great outside play area for the kids which made it nice for us adults! We had excellent service as well. Our waiter was super friendly and most importantly attentive. He also made it a point to go back over what was ordered before he placed the order to make sure everything was correct. All of the food was tasty but the portion sizes are very small especially for how expensive the food is. I think all of our sandwiches or wraps were between $13-15 and were very small! I will say this I didn't have a chance to get a picture of them but the kid's meal chicken tacos are HUGE! We actually had to confirm w/ the waiter that they in fact brought the correct item to our daughter. Drinks were excellent and loved the little souvenir glasses they came in. We waited in line which, is fine but to only have two parties seated before you that were behind you in line with the same numbers in your party. When asked the hostess about it she responds with an attitude. Wife waited and never got her drink refill. Been there the past 5 years and this is clearly the worst experience we have had. We went by boat to Da Lazy Lizard tonight and tied up our boat at their boat dock. Had a great table overlooking the bay and watched the sunset. We were greeted by our friendly waiter Pranit who served delicious cocktails and dinner. I had a grilled romaine salad with fresh caught tuna which was expertly cooked. I never write reviews but this is one of the best dishes I've had in a long time so I had to give the props where it was due. If you like Tuna, this dish will not disappoint. We also had crab dip and mozzarella sticks for apps, which were huge portions; however, you basically pay extra for the crab meat to be added. HUGE drink selection, some of which come is cute little palm tree cups that you keep. The only disappointment was our chairs at the table were kind of low & far away, almost as if you were sitting on the ground - however, you do get a great view of the sunset! The atmosphere is nice, food is "bar food", nachos are really good. Meals were okay- not bad not spectacular. The best part of the restaurant is the playground for the kids. Requested to sit by the playground, Waited an hour (which is kind of typical these days) to be sat at the farthest possible table from the playground and hostess was very rude and ignored our requests to move. I'm sure there would have been a non kid family seated by the playground that would have much preferred the sunset view table we were at. Manager was nice but again said we couldn't move. So little kids sat on the phones or adults had to accompany them to the playground. They Also won't split checks... it was the only restaurant that didn't do this for us. A suggestion would be to label the tables surrounding the playground and perhaps one over as "playground tables"- and have a separate wait like you would for indoor/outdoor dining. I would have waited longer for a table in the area, but they said we would have to go to the end of the wait again which would be another hour and a half. read more

Surprisingly - it's quite good. While staying in the l'qinta hotel next door i walked over here. They had the La Cumbre (abq) ipa in a tall can, and Goose (gose?) IPA on draft. I was expecting low grade food so i didn't order the fish special - we went with a pizza and an order of tacos - both were wonderful. And the best surprise of all was that their salsa is wonderful! We asked for a bowl of their more-spicy salsa, which they serve on the tacos, because we didn't think their house salsa would be good/spicy enough - but their dippin' salsa is actually quite good; stick with that. The pizza's aren't made in a microwave so you need to wait an extra minute if you order one - and they're mighty good. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. We rented a little skiff boat and parked here to get something to eat. They have a really nice beach area with sand under you so you can feel like you're still on the beach. The service was amazing and they helped us quickly and with good care. The wing sauce "Lizard Sauce" is something you have to try if you go there, the others of us had burgers and they couldn't complain. I would deffinirly reccomend coming here if you're visiting Ocean City. read more

De Lousy Lizard Used to be a family must year after year. Im thinking that will not be the case anymore. De Lazy Lizard is supposed to be about a relaxed atmosphere, good food and spirits. Today, I drank water. We decided to bring my parents to one of our OCMD favorites. We arrived to an almost empty restaurant with tons of seating ready to enjoy some fun. We were seated away from the water, staring at a fence, in the hot sun. I asked to be moved to the other seats outside. They asked that I request a move from the hostesses and I did. They said the only table I could have was by the water but in the sun with sunken seats by the servers. I accepted although, I didn't understand why we couldn't be in the shaded spot next to us. The manager Sean ( brown hair) came over to mention that it was quite inconvenient for them and they got another server for us. We ordered ( but we really should have left), but I thought my parents might enjoy the ambiance? We got appetizers without plates and cutlery, quickly followed by dinner. The entire time, the serving staff stood in front of us so the view of the water was a challenge. I spoke to Sean about the fact that our server and food were fine but the management of guests and seating seemed to not be typical ( we were not the only people complaining about things). He asked me to stop arguing with him. I asked to see his boss. * This dame manager apologized to the table beside us with a free alcoholic beverage. ( didn't know managers argued with some and comped from the BAR for others) " higher ups: that can get expensive* Sean the other manager( red beard), came out to talk to us. I told him first off that I paid my check. I showed him how my dad was sitting in a low, almost can't reach the table seat, and the poorly managed outside area. He thanked me for the info and said to come back and give it a try again. He listened and it was appreciated. *They really need to come up with a better seating system, but when it's empty, c'mon. read more

Although you will get a very nice sunset view, the staff is rude, prices are a little higher than average for OC, and guys WATCH OUT for the bathroom stall. I would give this no stars if I could!! This was one of the WORST restaurant experiences I have ever had. The scenery is nice but that is where it ends. We went on the sea rocket and afterwards my daughter was starving so we mistakenly thought the quickest and easiest thing to do was to eat here. To start off with we had an Eastern European waitress clearly first day on the job with no grasp of the menu. We asked questions about what we were ordering and were met with dazed and confused looks. Not sure if she had a grasp of the English language at all. I sent her to ask questions about what we ordered for the kids (chicken tacos). Asked what else came on it (i.e.--lettuce salsa etc) and I was told just chicken. No toppings. None. We also asked if there were corn tortillas because my daughter has a gluten sensitivity, and were told they were, but guess what? Nope came out as flour. So when she returned saying it was in fact just chicken we asked for a side of lettuce salsa and sour cream and we were never told there was a charge for this as it came with the adult sized entree. When it was my turn to order i was asked if I wanted fries or salad and I chose fries not knowing that there was a $2 up charge for that and the idiot waitress never bothered to mention. Then the waiting game. My starving child was getting hungrier by the minute, I asked if there was bread for the table and we were told no. I asked how long it would be for our food and she didn't know so she said "we could order an appetizer from the children's menu". For starters there is no childrens appetizer menu. So without looking at a menu ordered chips and salsa. My fault should have looked at the menu because that was $10 and took another 1/2 hour which ended up delaying our meal even further. Finally after an eternity all the food arrived. It was mediocre at best, but given the location I was not expecting good food. But what I was also not expecting was a $70 lunch tab, for what should have cost $45 without tax and tip. They up charged us for 3 salsas (my husband asked for extra when his ran out), and one for each kid chicken taco, two sour creams, and apparently this waitress thought it was customary to charge for tap water here in the USA. And then with the bill discovered we were also charged for the fries that I didn't even eat, nor was I told there was a fee for. So after speaking with the manager and pointing out all the problems including that it took 2hours for a lunch that should have taken no longer than an hour and a truculent waitress , I expected him to right the wrongs. But instead he argued with me. Eventually taking off the "free" waters and the one soda, but still charging us for fries 3 mini plastic condiment cups worth of salsa and sour cream. After informing him of my upcoming Yelp review he shrugged and could care less. So perhaps when the owner of the restaurant reads the review he and the Eastern European waitress will lose their jobs. Was it really worth this dissatisfied of a customer for 3 sides of salsa? You have been warned. Don't let the pretty scenery fool you. Run RUN somewhere else!! read more

Sooooo dissapointed. We are Salisbury area locals who made the way into town just to go here. We walked in and the hostess walked away to the outside bar and messed around, then stood on the steps. She looked at us several times but never said a word. Finally we decided to head over to the bar and she promptly told us we couldn't go that way. At that time a gentleman came over and seated us. I commented to him how unwelcoming the hostess was and he blew me off. No apologies of any type. After that food was OK at best. Waiter Hunter was very nice. View was fabulous and it's a cute place, but this un welcomed local will most likely not be back. There are plenty of places in OC that want my business this time of year and year round. read more

We came to OC for the first time and headed out to dinner around 7:30pm to celebrate a birthday. Every restaurant we had on our bucket list had more than an hour and a half wait. The birthday boy mentions how a friend of his visited this place weeks ago and recommended it for the family. So we called and spoke to a Nicole and explained that we were a party of five for a birthday celebration. She told us there was no list, but if we got there within the next 15 mins she would sit us by the water facing a beautiful sunset. We got there and it was just like that. No wait after we asked for Nicole and she walked us through this paradise like sand outdoor restaurant bar that was designed for a family full of kids. The food, environment, decor and most importantly, the service we received from Jalen was over the top! The service was class A. Not to mention, the hot girls he bought over with him to sing happy birthday to the festive boy. That put the cherry on top of entire night. We live near De Lazy Lizard so we go often and are never dissapointed. The food is great, would recommend the Steak Kabob or the Boathouse Burger (if you like crab dip) and I've also heard the crab cake is good but I have never tried it myself. The service is friendly and fast. The bar area is fun and usually sports live music with a big crowd. There is pier to dock your boat which also has a nice view of the bay and sunset. There is also a play set for your kids while you wait to be seated or after eating. Honestly, I have no complaints since it has gotten bew management. Before, the employees could be rude at times and the food was sub par, but sice then everything has met expectations of dining service. We recommend this place to all of our friends who come to Ocean City and would suggest you check it out if you are in the area. read more

The De Lazy Lizard was a decent place to eat at. The $7.99 all you can eat place was meh. It was really greasy and really scarce in terms of dough, sauce, and cheese. We came to the conclusion that the All You Eat Pizzas have less " volume" to them then if you order a single pizza (one of us had a single, the others did the all you can eat). The table we sat at was uneven and there were a few flies flying around that was kind of annoying. The bartender/waitress was really nice, but she was the only one working that afternoon/night (Thursday), so it made it difficult for her to get to all of her tables and the bar (clearly not her fault). Not terrible, but I'd take my chances elsewhere next time. read more

The staff and customer service was extremely horrible and lacked the ability to demonstrate any basic knowledge regarding the restaurant and menu. I asked the bartender when the kitchen closed and his reply was I don't know and walked away. The next day I tried to give it another chance and ordered food to pickup and when I got there. They did not have anymore avocados tacos and couldn't make my fries without crab dip which I didn't understand because don't you fry them first before putting anything on them? They had my number and waited for me to get all the way there to tell me instead of calling me back. Good food, but the awful customer service ruined the experience. From the moment my family and I had arrived, we were yelled at and shoved to the side. The man told us to "get out of the way" if we were not "on the list" yet we had already put our names in 30 minutes prior to that. When we finally sat down it began down pouring and no effort at all was made by the management to get everyone boxes for their food or even get everyone safely inside. It was complete chaos. After paying $220 for some hairy takeout food (yes, there was hair in my tuna) and awful customer service, we made a complaint to management. Our issues were completely disregarded and zero apologies were made. It was not so much the servers that ruined the experience here, but the managers due to their condescending attitudes and lack of effort in providing good service. I went here during the off season (Apri) for the first time. We had great weather so we were able to hang out along the dock. It was really relaxing to sit back and enjoy the sunset. For dinner I had their pulled pork and it was awesome! They have a large indoor section with huge TVs and I want to check out their outdoor patio/bar section sometime in the summer. read more

Waitress was awesome but the rest of the staff stood in a large group talking while she worked very hard (this was also her first day working alone after training). They were doing construction and we were not warned. The hammering was okay. After we got our dinner they started sawing and we ended up with saw dust all over our table and food. We had a party of 13 people and we chose to sit inside because we just got off the beach and it was 100 degrees outside. When the manager was confronted about it he said it is was it is. He argued with us, walked away, and came back to argue some more. Never once apologized. We were not offered anything other than we hope you come back and give us another chance. Seated and didn't see a waiter for 23 minutes ... then we ordered drinks and apps. Drank the drinks didn't see our waiter for another 20 minutes. Appetizers came and the empty plates sat for another 15-20 minutes ... granted we still hadn't placed our entree orders. Tried to get staff's attention and they claimed we were being rude.
