My water heater pilot wasn't lighting, so I called for a free in-Home estimate... thought that was awesome. They said they could try replacing the pilot assembly, otherwise I needed a new water heater, and quoted me for both. After they left my house for 45 minutes to 'go get the part', they went back into the attic for a bit, then I was told that I needed a new water heater for $1,550! So I decided to try a different plumber. They came out and replaced the pilot assembly and I had hot water again. Not sure what the other guys were doing up there, or where they went for 45 minutes, but they were definitely trying to rip me off! read more

I had a leak recently at my house and had a hard time finding a plumber to come out. Initially I tried roto-rooter and they gave me the run around and never sent someone out when they said they would. Dean's plumbing sent out a plumber during the time window they said they would. Julio located the problem and explained what needed to be done. He completed the repairs after purchasing parts and made a few suggestions for improving my plumbing system. Overall I was very pleased with the service. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because the pricing is on the higher side. read more

I had a small water leak hidden inside wall. Called multiple plumbers for quote, and they were either unable to pinpoint the leak, or too afraid to cut the drywall. Dean's people came, located the leak, cut the wall, and repaired the damaged pipe. They charged steep price but they got the job done in time. read more

Not thorough. Had a plumbing issue. Got a second opinion and realized that the problem was misdiagnosed. So glad I got a second opinion. Floor was scratched up and they knocked off some from their initial charge in trying to find the problem. We just had Billy and Jet come out and get us out of a REALLY tight spot. We had a pipe burst during this winter storm and we were on a waiting list for another plumber for over a week. I'm very satisfied with the plumber and apprentice. They were both professional, courteous and did high quality work. My only disappointment was to find out how much the parts were marked up over jobber's and even retail costs. I would rather have been given a list of the items needed and then gone to Home Depot myself to purchase them to be able to save some money. At the time I was so concerned about quickly having my hot water heater replaced that I didn't think to ask for that option and the option wasn't offered. This is the second time using Dean's service and have been very pleased both times. They sent the same plumbing technician which was a plus because not only does he do great work, he makes sure you know what coverages are included, and he is very kind and has a great personality. They installed a new kitchen faucet, reinstalled a half bathroom sink and toilet that were removed during restoration resulting from the February winter ice storm. Scheduled another fix and long story short, no one showed nor did they bother calling back as of today. Called Dean's Plumbing on Saturday and received a call before noon on Monday. Called Dean's Plumbing due to a leaking bathtub faucet, and they came onsite to give a free estimate. Tony Brown was the professional that was dispatched. Tony was punctual for our appointment and provided me options to fix the job. The job was completed and we are happy with the work. However, I also want to compliment the fact that Tony and his partner took extra precautions to social distance themselves from my family and me during this repair. He requested that I use my own pen to sign for the bill, they both wore gloves and masks, and they limited their interactions with us. I chose Dean's Plumbing because they had good reviews and it is a veteran-owned business, but I will choose Dean's again because of the experience we had with Tony. **The extra precautions regarding sanitation were so important due to the COVID 19 pandemic. read more

They were easy to reach out to and schedule appointment via YELP. The plumber (Orlando) arrived on time and was very polite and wore PPE during the entire visit. He predicted what the problem was pretty quickly, but quoted $250 to take it apart to accurately diagnose the problem. He explained that amount would be applied to repair cost so we proceeded. The estimate and diagnosis were accurate and the work was completed. He was really great to work with. This was my first time using Dean's and I went with them because of great YELP reviews. I called because my water heater was only delivering tepid water. I expected a diagnosis. The technicians that came out ran the water and said "hmmm, that should be coming out hot". I responded, "yes, that is why you are here". They said they were unsure and that the hot water heater was old (2015) and proceeded to quote me the cost of a new water heater. I didn't trust that they knew what the were talking about and had another company come out the following day. The second company diagnosed a slab leak within minutes and had a repair plan that did not require a replacement of the water heater. read more

These guys are EXPERTS on tankless water heaters. Had a minor leak fixed with a $20 part on the truck and minimum service charge. Suggested a pre-filter to help these kinds of issues in the future, but no pressure to make that decision now. Ronnie Dean was the tech and he will be my plumber going forward. I had another supposed tankless water heater repair shop out two days prior and after an hour in his truck talking to the manufacturer, i got a $1000 estimate to replace an entire two year old pump, flush my systems (which I do yearly) and put in some extra catch and drain equipment that is frivolous. Also, I'd have to wait a week for parts. My water heater is bone dry and clean today and it is working 100%. Thanks Ronnie, you and the company are a class act. read more

I've never had to call a Plumber before. Hopped on yelp to ask some basic questions, because again I'm not familiar with how plumbers work or how they charge. I guess I annoyed them with trying to get a better understanding of how plumbers charge for each job, so they just chose to ignore me instead. I'm in sales & if I did that to a customer my boss would kill me. You're the expert & yes these questions can sound dumb to you, but you just lost a job to a company that's charging more for a trip charge than you due to your horrible service. This is the type of plumber that I try to avoid with everything I have. I was misguided by the high reviews. They were charging 3X the next plumber I hired. I called them out for water leaking and in my downstairs ceiling. The plumber that came out said he was going to charge $359 to cut a hole in the ceiling and go from there. I was desperate for the leak to stop so agreed. Once the whole was opened the plumber kept saying how difficult it was going to be to fix it and was going to be an additional $600. Sensing BS with how difficult it was I told him "NO". He then went to talk to the owner and came back with a discount of a total of $650. Still "NO", I didn't want to do business with this guy. The owner called me and asked what had happened. He said he usually charges a minimum of $650 per job. Something they should have said when I originally called them. So unless you want to shell out $650 no matter what the job, pass on them. The next plumber I called charged me less than $300 and would have been a total of $300 for the whole project. read more

WOW - can not rate these guys high enough! Dean's Plumbing saved our butts BIG TIME yesterday when our water heater decided to die and start flooding our garage at 3:30pm on *New Year's Eve* (lovely, right?) The receptionist at Dean's was so nice, and literally immediately told us they could get the job done same day!! My husband and I were really impressed with the speed and professionalism with which they got the job done, and they even taught us how to turn off our water at the street shut-off valve (which was bizarrely complicated). So grateful they were able to come help us out so late on a holiday, otherwise we would have been stuck with no hot water all weekend - and it's getting down to freezing temperatures! Colin and Sean were really great, and even gave us their personal cell numbers in case we had any questions or needed anything after the fact. This is the type of service I honestly didn't think existed, but feel so lucky to have found!! I will not be using Dean's Plumbing again. Had a problem with the water heater. They sent a plumber out and he got the pilot light lit again. I asked how much for coming out ....I was told this was a "Diagnostic Evaluation"???!!! Oh for pete sake It was a service call!!!!! I was charged 225.00 for lighting a pilot light! They fixed a leaky exterior faucet $375.00. When I complained about how high the chargers were he knocked off $50.00. I mean what just happened....This was not fair nor reasonable. read more

We had two HVAC units that had condensation drain lines that weren't draining properly. I called Dean's Plumbing and they were available to come the next morning. The price was going to be quite high....around $420. When I asked about the second they said it would have to be the same price but they could work something out. The next morning two men came to do the work. They did not have the necessary parts to do the job and had to go to Home Depot to get them. After the first drain was cleared I asked how much it would cost to clear the second one. The first drain took about 15 minutes so I was astonished that they wanted to charge another $420 to clear the second! I asked that they reduce that charge for the second and they refused. So, the total bill for clearing two lines requiring 30-40 minutes total time was going to be over $800! This was completely unjustifiable! They wanted me to pay the "trip charge" again even though they were already at the job site! I would have paid another $200 for the second one just to get the job completed but they weren't interested. Turning down a chance to negotiate a fee for a second drain while at the job site shows very poor judgement on their part. You might say they left money on the table! Shortly after they left I found a plumber to clear the second drain for $150. If you're willing to pay fees like this then call Dean's Plumbing. Otherwise I recommend you take your business elsewhere. read more
