I was very pleased to find Legacy Plumbing who clearly had the best reviews for plumbing services in the Dallas area. I asked them to send their top-notch expert technician, and I was very fortunate that they sent Jason and his excellent assistant (Ricardo) to my home the next day. They carefully removed (and disposed of) my old water heater and did a beautiful job of installing the new one (it was made by A.O. Smith Corporation). The installation job required several hours but it was clearly done properly. During the entire installation process, Jason kept me well informed. I highly recommend Legacy Plumbing for any plumbing or water heater installation needs. This is a very professional company what goes out of its way to provide exceptional customer service. There was no sales pitch and no pressure. As I have always said, selecting a reputable company and high-quality equipment is important, but having it installed properly by a team of highly knowledgeable experts is the most important aspect of the job. Jason and his wonderful team did exactly that.

They provided good advice about the condition of a water valve on one toilet and after discussing price options, I decided to get the toilet pumps updated. Overall, they took just over an hour for all the repairs and then explained everything they completed by taking me on a "tour" of the repairs until I was satisfied. When it came time to do the work I guess I must have misunderstood bc they denied saying it. The two things pointed out were both to resolve when new cartridges were installed. That did resolve one problem but not the other. When it came time to pay they included a $200+ charge for diagnosing the hot water valve on an upstairs tub. When I pointed out they had misdiagnosed it they withdrew the charge. Further I asked the professional plumber what did he think needed to be done. When he told me he would need to break through the tile that the tub sat in to figure it out I drew the line, called the builder who gave us the contact for the plumbers who did the work at original build 5 years ago. They immediately sent out their plumber who diagnosed it on the spot as a valve behind a little door no tile needed breaking, that protects young children from getting scalded. They ordered the part, came back and installed two new massage shower heads checked every bit of plumbing and two hours later charged me $400 parts and labor. $125for the valve and labor total $400 and cleared every sink, all faucets one of which btw the initial plumber said needed replacement, made the entire house feel like all the plumbing was brand new. Do I recommend these guys at Anchot? Would you? Solid one star. They earned it.

This was done to protect the integrity of the foundation. This was not the original plan and Chris asked if I would like to get a second opinion. With the original plan changing he offered to waive his fees while I got a second opinion. The work was done in a timely fashion and resolved the problem. During that work, they discovered that the original installer had not followed code and had made several mistakes that could have been costly--or even dangerous. Mathews Plumbing corrected all of the substandard work, including the associated wallboard and painting repairs required for the Kohler project, and successfully cleared a difficult city inspection. They also followed all the rules of our high rise condo association. They also installed new kitchen fixtures and a whole‑house water monitoring and automatic shutoff system, giving us peace of mind against potential plumbing leaks. The repairs tied to the steam generator involved wallboard, tile, and paint, and their team were true artists--matching the tile, textured wallboard, and paint flawlessly. Everyone on the team was professional, respectful, and very pleasant to work with. They took the time to educate me on the challenges involved, trained me on proper maintenance, and consistently cleaned up after their work. Turns out the contractor failed and Chris, being his amazing self, showed me what was wrong, how he figured it out, and more. I honestly cannot recommend Nicks enough. They're honest, kind, and fast, and will continue to be my AC go-to's.

Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

The black guy that helped me was great. Today I went today to ask a few questions and get a price on a service. I stood there waiting on help. The manager Keith helped the guy before me. Two younger guys were behind the counter were helping other people. Moron number 1 got a womans keys from her and put them in a plastic sleeve. He handed them to a rough looking tech from the shop and the tech just threw them on a desk, without any care or professionalism. So I'm standing there the two morons behind the counter are just standing there not doing anything. Then a pretty young girl walks in to pick up her car, and they are fighting to help her, and I'm just standing there. I turn to leave and they never say a word to me. I go outside and ask the Moron manager Keith if he is in fact the manager and why I was never helped? He got really defensive and and said, "I will help you, but he was already helping another guy. I told him that this was not the service I expected, and that Firestone was just down the road. He told me that I should go there. I should have known, because the parking lot was almost empty. The Discount Tire at the other end of Spring Creek is much better, and has service people that actual help you.
