    French toast
    Jazie D.

Ordered the birria quesadilla and Spanish rice and beans with a side of French toast to go. By far the best rice and beans. The red onion adds in the perfect crunch and flavor. The quesadilla was delicious. Enough for two! It was filled with meat and cheese. The broth, I could've just drank that by itself soo yummy. The quesadilla came with their salsa verde. Loved it just as much as I the did the consome. My only complaint was the French toast was a little burnt on the back side but other than that the meal was delicious.

We had lunch at the Dear Dad's downtown location. We are so glad we stopped by as lunch was great from start to finish. The hosts greeted us and we were seated right away. I loved walking through the hallway that was covered with flowers hanging from the ceiling . Our waitress was so friendly & attentive. I hate I can't remember her name . I really appreciate how attentive everyone was, from the guy behind the bar and especially our waitress. Our food came out fairly quick .I picked out the dry aged sirloin & it was absolutely delicious. It had so much flavor on the steak that I didn't need to add sauce. It was so flavorful. I highly recommend this dish to the steak lovers out there . My husband got the fried catfish and he raved about it too. It was fried perfectly and seasoned well. Our sides were also packed with flavor and seasoned well. We can't wait to check out their breakfast & brunch on our next visit .

We went to the downtown GSO location. They told us it would be a 45 minute wait but it was only about 15 minutes. The inside is gorgeous! Flowers hanging from the ceiling and the decor was beautiful. They do have breakfast all day. I had the French toast breakfast that came with 2 eggs, bacon and 2 slices of French toast with a choice of side. Everything was amazing. Our group of 4 all enjoyed everything. The service was outstanding! If you get a chance to go. I highly recommend. We will be going back!!

Hands Down!!! All 5s...I can't wait to return!! This cute business hits the spot every single time. I feel welcomed everytime I enter. The service is top notch. Food = 5 Stars!! My sweet potato pancakes were overly cooked. They returned them and brought me back fresh pancakes. So yummy!! The blueberry hush puppies melted in my mouth...and those truffle fries = delicious!!

I've always wanted to try Dear Dad's, and decided to go to their new location in downtown. Walking inside, you're immediately led to a hallway and greeted by a beautiful floral decor. It's just so peaceful and lovely inside! The service was wonderful, and the server very helpful with suggestions! We ordered the omelet and pancakes, to try different items. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious! Omelette was also amazing! And I loved that they had shredded hashbrowns. (If you read my other reviews, you'll know I'm obsessed with them! ) The only tiny wish for improvement was the coffee. It seems a lot of restaurants have challenges to keep their coffee hot. By the time you doctor your coffee, it gets like warm. But aside from this small thing, the entire meal was delicious! The surroundings were lovely, and the staff was fabulous! So all in all a great place for breakfast!

Finally got a chance to check out the downtown location of Dear Dad's. It's great that they are in the position that they need to open a second location. Every time that my wife and I went to the battleground location, it was a wait, still worth the wait though! We came on a weekday so it wasn't too crowded and were seated immediately. I've only had breakfast items when I've been to Dear Dad's, so I wanted to switch it up and try something different. I decided to try the Philly cheese with steak. I was very impressed! The steak had excellent flavor, the cheese was delicious, and all the other vegetables on it were seasoned perfectly. I also upgraded to the onion rings... make sure you do it too :) The decor in this place is very nice and pretty. Makes you feel good when you're walking in. Now I'm confident getting both breakfast and lunch options from here after this past visit. No matter which location you go to, the quality of food is the same, and I highly recommend coming here to enjoy some great food!

We were at our favorite farmer's market on a Saturday morning and I remembered my husband hadn't been to Dear Dad's yet so off we went! We must have timed it just right because we were seated immediately! Woohoo! I had avocado toast with grits and a side of fruit and he had chicken and waffles. Great sized portions and everything came out hot and tasty. I am continuously amazed at this place, the level of training the staff apparently has received and how well they all work together. It shows! The decor is super fresh and fun, they have really made this place adorable. Love this spot!

Everyone raved about this place so we ate lunch here. My colleague didn't like his Birria bowl at all, but my breakfast was pretty good. It's very tiny inside. Service was good.

Very seldom do I sit down at an establishment and then I'm ready to go! It pains me to give this one star but it is very necessary and honestly if it wasn't for the food, I would've given zero stars if I could based off service alone. Upon arriving. We were greeted by Cheyenne (hope I spelled it correctly) and she was so pleasant. She asked my husband and I if it was our first time in and we told her yes. She informed us to make sure our server knew once we were greeted at the table but she didn't indicate why. I thought this is going to be a great experience but boy was I about to be extremely disappointed. We were seated and greeted by Yoshi (hope I spelled it correctly) who as quickly as she showed up and took our drink order, disappeared before I could even ask a question or say anything. When she returned with our drink order she then asked what we wanted. I placed my order and My husband gave his order. When asked what sides he wanted, he only wanted fries. He was quickly told that wasn't possible and when I asked why not because if fries was all he wanted I couldn't understand why that wasn't an option, she couldn't even give a reason. She went around the world basically spewing a bunch of BS to then say, "yea we were just told we can't do it". After she walked away, I realized I never told her it was our first time in. Upon grabbing her attention, I mentioned I forgot to tell you it's our first time in. She gave me a puzzled face and then I informed her of what the hostess mentioned. She responded with oh it's just for beignets but I don't know how she would know about that and said thank you for telling me. Needless to say we never got the beignets. Finally a couple was seated next to us and when Justin greeted them, he asked the couple if it was their first time in. Something Yoshi hadn't asked us when she greeted us at the table. As far as Ambiance, it was beautiful inside and gave a floral vibe throughout the entire establishment. Not sure I will return to this location but if I do I pray I get someone else who understands what customer service means from beginning to end.

Wow! This place absolutely blew me away. I came with a friend who said this was the new breakfast spot to try in Greensboro. He was not wrong! From the gorgeous interior to the fresh squeezed juice to the unique drink and menu items, you truly cannot go wrong at Dear Dad's. We came on a Friday morning and it was already busy - still, our waitress was attentive and quick. I came hungry and got the fresh squeezed OJ, Biscoff Latte, Birria Omelette, and my friend and I split the red velvet pancakes. I was absolutely blown away by it all. The juice was so satisfying, the latte was the right amount of sweet but not too sweet, and the birria omelette changed my life. If you love a birria taco you must try this omelette. It was so much food too. We got the pancakes out of sheer gluttony, and had plenty of food leftover. I have not had red velvet pancakes in years - and so these absolutely hit the spot. The space is lively but you can still hear your party. Dear Dad's, if you're reading this, please come to the Triangle!

Patty melt with sweet potato fries and fried mushrooms with their house sauce

Landed later in the evening in Greensboro and wanted a yummy but quick dinner. Found this place in downtown area and it was the cutest spot!! The weather was terrible downtown so luckily it wasn't too busy when we went and they were able to seat us easily. I got their patty melt with a side of sweet potato fries and wow the flavor was delicious. We also got fried mushrooms for app. For being a slower night the service was a bit sparse for refills and needing extra sauce but the ambiance was so pretty with the flowers and bright colors. Really such a vibe.

After hearing so many great things, my family and I finally decided to try it this weekend, and all I can say is... WOW! What an incredible experience from start to finish. First, let me say that Zee, the owner and chef, is one of the most welcoming restaurateurs you'll ever meet. He not only prepares amazing food but also takes the time to personally greet his guests, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. We started with the Hummus and Fresh Flatbread, and it was absolutely outstanding, fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. Next came the Börek (Ground Beef and Feta Cheese). Think of it as the best, most flavorful "egg roll" you've ever had, but with authentic Turkish flair. Simply delicious! I had the Bugu Kebabi, served in a clay plate with red onions and tomatoes. Sealed with baked bread. I'm usually not a lamb person, but when Zee explained that the lamb is marinated for hours in an onion-based broth, I decided to step outside my comfort zone. I'm so glad I did! The lamb was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The presentation was also unique and memorable, with the delicate thin bread cut open right at the table. It was more than enough for my daughter and me to share. My wife ordered the Beyti Kebab, is a Turkish dish consisting of ground beef, grilled on a skewer and served wrapped in lavash and topped with yogurt sauce and butter sauce. Every single bite was bursting with amazing flavors. Another outstanding dish! All the desserts are to die for, many are imported from Turkey. Before you leave, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Turkish Coffee, Turkish Wines, or a Turkish Beers to complete the experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers healthy, authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced food, Zeeyum Kitchen should absolutely be on your list. The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there's plenty of convenient parking. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!!!

It had turkey, shaved parmesan, marinated cherry tomato, house-made Caesar dressing, onion, and romaine lettuce in an 8" sandwich roll. It was a little pricey at $15, but it was worth the splurge. The dressing and parmesan cheese were unbelievable! Since this is in downtown Greensboro, there is no dedicated parking lot but we easily found street parking nearby. My favorite things to order are the smashburgers, chicken philly (almost as good as the one at Old Town, a restaurant also belonging to this same owner), and now the fish and chips. I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak.
