I really want to give this place a 5, but something is missing. The crust is great at least in a large; it's pretty thin until you get to the edge where it's crisp on the outside and delightfully doughy chew on the inside. It's not too greasy and uniformly covered in cheese. I'm not sure if there's just not enough sauce, or lacking a flavor in general...it just needs something. It's much smaller inside than I thought it would be and I can see at least 6 people working and a steady flow of people coming in to take pizza to go, so it's kind of loud because of a lot of people calling out orders. I like some of the NY signs and pictures that have up. Not the same kind of friendly as most places are around here, but not at all rude. Probably just so busy is why. I also thought they had more pasta dishes, but they are primarily pizza and a good amount of sandwiches. We will definitely try some more things. read more

Last time we were here they just opened. The line was out the door with a 45 to 60 minute wait. The new has worn off and though they are still busy you can walk in, order and sit down. The staff is very friendly. You can order slices or whole pizza. They quickly reminded us that we can do the pizza half and half. We ordered the loaded garlic knots and a half and half pizza. I've been trying to get to try their pizza and every time they were either closed or the line was too long. Now I know why the long lines. This pizza is so tasty and perfect IMO. This is the best pizza I've had in northern Florida, absolutely no contest. I've never had authentic NY style pizza but I can see why so many pizza joints recreate it so often. And this place does it the best. Big, big slices. The perfect ratio of sauce and cheese; the ingredients are always fresh no matter what toppings you choose and the crust.. the crust has a crunchy, bread-like flavor that's so delicious and addictive and pairs well with a fizzy soda. The atmosphere is hustle bustle since they're making pies all day, but somehow cozy at the same time. I'm also impressed with the wait time when you choose order and pick up, they're very quick which is always a great thing. Overall I highly recommend DeCicco's. This is a new pizza place in the Yulee/wildlight area. This place was packed. They had a 45 minute wait walking in the door. You order at the counter, they have several options including by the slice. They had a TV that you could watch. Soda, wine, and beer to drink. We ordered ravioli as an appitizer. The ravioli was crispy, hot and fresh! It had a good flavor although the sauce was a bit on the bland side. They did have seasoning at the table. We ordered a canzone because they said it would feed 2. The calzone was a great size and we easily split it. It was so cheesy! Look, I take my pizza very seriously. I know it sounds silly, but if I could eat pizza everyday for the rest of my life and not gain weight, I would, no questions asked. And let me tell you I was taken aback by just the large size of this pizza, but anyways upon opening the box....The smells, the visuals, the pepperonis intricately placed. It hit all the check marks. NOW, the first bite, slapped. The UNGODLY way I ate 3 slices of this pizza would have had you running back to church. 100% ordering again. Upon entrance, it feels just like a pizza parlor should. Small and few tables, pizza in the viewing window, the cashier greeting with a smile and friendly hello. We ordered the lunch special 2 slices of cheese pizza and a soda. The kids enjoyed the slices and ate them all. We had an appetizer of zucchini fries. I opted for ranch instead of the suggested marinara and they were superb. I ordered a slice of the white pizza and it was perfection. The antipasto salad was beautiful and tasty. The staff brought out an order of zeppolis for us to try and they were delicious too! My Family and I are on vacation and my daughter recommended this place...I ordered chicken wings parm garlic and ordered a meat lovers large pizza and Hawaiian pizza.. They both were amazing the sauce and the freshness of ingredients use was superb .This is not a restaurant where the come to table to order .. We ordered and had are order to go .. There are a few seats and out side inside , but it gets crowded with walk ins and people standing around waiting for ordered .Overall the price the taste was worth the wait . This was my second to go order since they opened. The staff is always super friendly, they were able to recommend their favorite foods, and greet as soon as you walk in. I love that you can either order or they also have pizza by the slice. They have lots of options for the pizza by a slice. We heard from others that it was pretty good lately. So we came back a couple of months later, but did not claim the free pizza. It was definitely better. The cheese pizza and the margarita pizza at this place are decent ... Is it tri-state area quality pizza? I would say still not even close (we are from NJ close to NY), but I will say it is the closest tri-state area quality it in the area (Considering most of the other places in the area are FAR from tri-state area quality). What I will say is don't get "Mikes Alfredo" pizza, it is absolutely disgusting!!!!! It was like $26 and it totally went to waste, we couldn't even eat it. We expected the normal chunks of grilled chicken that all pizza places put on their pizza, but this was some kind of nasty shredded (what I surmise was canned) chicken and it was literally all over the pizza, including under the cheese, so there was no way to pick it off. It literally tasted like dog food. Will will def never order that again, but we will be back for the margarita and plain pizzas. read more

Like most people that live in Florida, I grew up in NY, and this is just like being back in NY. The pizza was great, and I'm looking forward to trying other things on my next visit. All the employees are great as well. I wish nothing but great success for this restaurant. I hope that my grand kids will take their own kids here just like I have, and they love it as well.
