Made an appointment online after finding this company on facebook. They use square to do their bookings and we have an account with square that saves all our information every time we book. (important info later) Day of our appointment took the time to rearrange our furniture for easy access to clean our couch and took time off work to be home as this was their latest appointment time. We also had guests coming in the next day so we were really counting on this appt. Appt time comes and no one shows, I check my email to reach out to the company and see an email that our appt was cancelled from the owner and the reason why seemed sus. (picture below) We called and ask what number they had and they gave a wrong number even though I double checked our emails which had our correct number on file. Whether they lied or not, our correct phone number was on file and looking at the other reviews there seems to be a pattern. Super unfortunate and unprofessional experience. We moved all of our furniture out of our rooms we lived two hours away from family who was expecting us as we needed to be out of the way for your services and we had to re-schedule our entire day waiting for this service to be done. Having the gal to basically do a no call no show on the job, act irritated on the phone, and then double down when I post this review is very telling of the type of business this had become. I had an appointment Thursday with definite difference at 10am and he didn't show. I tried to call and text and couldn't get a hold of him. Finally at 1pm he text he wasn't going to be able to make it and rescheduled for Friday at 10am. Again, he didn't show but did text just after 10am to cancel again. I scheduled a couch cleaning on the website for 2/23/24 at 10:30am. I scheduled a week prior and was sent confirmation via text and email to remind me of the upcoming appointment. On the morning of appointment I prepared my couch by vacuuming it and moving it to the center of my living room. 10:30 came and Brian NEVER showed up or CALLED to say he was not coming. I called at 11:00am to ask if he was still going to make the appointment and he never answered the phone so I left a voicemail and I texted and also sent an email. I still have not heard back from him. I am done trying to track this guy down or wait for his response. I am disappointed and will not ever use or recommend Definitive Difference Carpet Cleaning. What horrible customer service to be ghosted and ignored. Apparently he has a history of no shows and ghosting people. He apologized that he was still sick. Not buying it Brian! He texted me a picture of his vehicle that there was some kind of mechanical issue and a front wheel was broken. I felt for the dude. About an hour after he should have arrived I got an email saying I no showed my appointment. He never called never text. From the scheduling through the completion of the work was 100% seamless. Brian called the day of the job stating that he was running behind schedule and would be about 45 minutes late. He arrived within that timeframe. Upon arrival, care was taken to route his hoses and equipment as to not scuff up our newly painted deck and railing. We made an appointment a month in advance and received confirmation 1 week and 1 day prior. 30 minutes PAST our appointment time, no one showed up, so I called the phone number. No answer. I texted the number and was told his back way out and needed to reschedule our appointment. When I asked why he hadn't reached out to let me know, he said he was hoping it'd get better. Had Brian come today to do our carpeting because I could see a huge difference from where our area rug was and the non covered. I also found his prices reasonable for what I needed. Our carpet was awful we also had a pet stain I needed cleaned. The difference hours later is fabulous, and not nearly as obvious if at all. It still smells pretty fresh but I expect it to last a few days of fresh smelling, we have pets so it never stays long for us. He was also very professional and nice I will use him again. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! After reading another review with the same complaint that I have this is not who you want to have clean your carpets. For the last three days since I've had my carpets cleaned my house has smelled like cigarette smoke. We have never once smoked in this house, And has never smelled like this. Nor, when we have had the carpets cleaned in the past has there been such an odor. Because he smokes in his van I do believe that it gets into his filter and makes the whole house smell. After contacting him, he was rude and condescending and not a proper business owner as he was accusing us of trying to get money from him. Right, like we are trying to steal $169 dollars from him, when in turn it's actually the opposite way around. We just want it to be done right. So we wanted a refund so we can actually have someone who has good equipment and do it right. DO NOT USE THIS GUY! We took advise from Facebook and Yelp for reviews. We had Definitive Difference Carpet cleaning come out. We had two rooms cleaned. Booked online which was pretty easy. Appointment scheduled for Aug 13th and would take about an hour for both rooms. Both rooms 100% cleaned out. The carpet is less than 1 year old and new padding. We followed all directions and the next day the room was worse than before. I contacted the company and he wanted to redo and we scheduled for Aug 21st.Per owner it would take only 1/2 hour because It only needs deodorized and sometimes when the carpet is cleaned it activates underlying smells in the drying process. (Pets are two small shih tzu). After the 2nd cleaning the smell was even worse - smelt like dirty water. I just don't know how the smell went worse after it was professionally cleaned. Here it is 2 weeks and the my room is packed up the kitchen. 2 days after the cleaning I purchased a rug doctor and rug doctor platinum pure for pets and cleaned the room. As of right now the room is dry and smells 100 times better. It smells like brand new carpet. It also confuses me why last night it pulled so much dirt after they cleaned. I emailed the owner 2 days after his 2nd attempt, but got no reply. This cost of $120.00 has turned into a $400 expense and me doing it myself.
