Randomly looked for a local find for lunch. Saw a Thai restaurant nearby and figured I try it. It's in a warehouse style building with other food options - order from a kiosk and it submits to the right restaurant. The pad Thai was just..alright, not really flavorful, which isn't the worst thing. But I asked for really hot spice level (3/4) and there is absolutely no heat in it at all. Like Thai food is suppose to have heat imo. So really missed the mark for me.

It's an order at front and then they bring the food to your table. Dumplings starter followed by the OG Shrimp Pad Thai. Enjoyed both. The Dumplings were subtle & Pad Thai was not too sweet. Tasty food, quick friendly service, cozy laid back atmosphere.

This was genuinely the best pad thai I've ever had. I convinced my coworkers to try this place with me because I've heard nothing but raving reviews and it always came up on my tiktok. I was not disappointed at all in fact I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes the fast service and the beautiful interior of the restaurant. I can genuinely say this was one of my best lunch dates thus far and my coworkers said the same thing. I ordered the chicken pad thai and a thai tea and it was more than enough food to last me two days and I loved every bit!!! I'll be back matter of fact i'm on the way now lolll

Uuggh the only I wish I would have done was to actually eat at the restaurant than taking it to go because after seeing other people plated food I was a little jelly. Regardless my food was amazing fresh and packed with flavor. Definitely two meals for me in one portion. I have no complaints on this meal. My sister thought the curry said the too spicy for her but I love a good kick to my meal and with the Jay special they do ask your level of heat you would like. Thank you Degthai

Amazing Thai food! The menu was clearly marked for us gluten free people! They were extremely busy, but served people quickly. Parking is tight, so just be ready. I highly recommend.

My boyfriend took me there for the first time, it was pretty busy but we didn't take long to wait to get our order, the employees are all nice and very friendly. It was very crowded but the busters cleaned the tables really quick so we didn't have to wait to get a seat. The food was delish. 10/10 recommend

Heard about this place on TikTok, saying it was the best Thai Food in Nashville. Disappointingly, my experience here did not live up to that standard. I can't comment on the service because it is self-service eating, but I will be talking about the food. This location is in Midtown, within a shared kitchen building so you're able to order from multiple restaurants. Most people come in for doordash/to-go. I chose to come here knowing I was only looking to dine by myself, get my food, eat, then leave. I ordered Pad Thai, one of my favorite foods to eat. It was subpar, the noodles were not soft and the sauce was dry and completely unsweet. However, the chicken and veggies were good. Very well portioned, could be split between two people. Safe to say, I will not be returning for their pad thai, definitely would recommend others to try other dishes however.

Do you have noodles in hot broth?

We do have it at Nolensville location. Tiew Tom Yum Goong, :)

Hi! do you all use MSG or artificial colors (red 40, etc)?

Thanks for asking, We do not add MSG in our food but in some of our soy sauce contain a small amount of MSG. We also do not use any artificial color in our food. Although the Thai tea leaves packets contain some of artificial colors.

Are you guys really opening a place at Midtown Foods?? Quit playinnnnnn. This would be a dreaaaam.

YES, It’s open now!!! You can order at Midtown food hall or UBER EAT. Thank you so much.

Parking is free (must be validated inside the store) once you're seated. When it comes to the food, overall it was pretty good and reasonably priced. Lots to pick from, including Pho in a Thai restaurant. However, not sure if it was missed by our server, but the spice level (we got everything on a level 4 out of 5) was nowhere to be found/noticed. Pretty sure it was not spicy at all, we all added the chili oil which helped tremendously. On the other hand, protein was minimal. The portion was underwhelming and especially the chicken in the curry and shrimp in the fried rice. Lastly, the Thai iced tea felt more "sweet/sugary" rather than being actual tea. My personal rating: 3.8/5

The…read morebase of vegetable broth mixed with coconut milk was creamy yet not heavy (with a blend of yellow and red curry spices, according to the menu -- sadly I am not that well versed in curries!). The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the tofu was browned to perfection. The grilled broccoli and cauliflower were snappy and contrasted well with the rest of the ingredients. The dish had a spicy yet tolerable kick to it, but I have a very high threshold for spice and heat (I added chili oil to take it up a notch!). Also, the portion size is BIG. I was very hungry so I had no issues finishing most of it, but it could easily be shared between two adults, especially if you order an appetizer or side. I loved the interior decor, which was simple yet eye catching. The mural encompassing the entire space in particular looked really cool. The place was packed, but the friendly staff were hustling to keep the line moving.

The hardest part about eating at Degthai is beelining to the Tiew Gang Vegan. (BTW, I am not Vegan, yet I LOVE the Tiew Gang Vegan.) They do everything well - the other curries, the standard noodle dishes, the dumplings - and it can be tempting to just go with your regular go-to dish like Pad Thai w/Chicken (BORRRINGG, but they do it well nonetheless.) You've gotta try the Tiew Gang Vegan. It's truly a once-in-a-year of eating out experience finding a dish this incredible. It competes pound-for-pound in the same heavy hitter weight class as the best Pho, Ramen, Jjamppong, or Beef Noodle Soup you've ever had. I've now been to Degthai 10 times, and have gotten the Tiew Gang Vegan the last 5 times in a row.

The flavors in both of the dishes were great! Both having the options of spice levels from 1-5. We had dinner around 6pm and didn't have to wait too long on a Saturday evening. The Thai Ice Tea was on the sweeter side, but still held the "thai ice tea flavoring" we were hoping for. (I'd say if it was a little less sweet, the flavor would stand out more.) We had no reservations but note that the seating is very limited. Additionally, you'd have to validate your parking by scanning a QR code they have (first 3 hours free). The atmosphere is like a restaurant in a store. Oh, wait, it is a restaurant in a store. But I wasn't here for the ambiance. I was here for the food. The benefit of being in a market is you can grab Asian items for home, including some fruits and vegetables you won't find at your local Kroger. I included the menu, so you can see how reasonable the prices are. I will also state the portions are good for the price. As for the market, there is a nice selection of items from Asia or used in Asian dishes. I also found some interesting snack items, including versions of lays potato chips I have never seen in a US based grocery. I usually hit K&S, so need to compare prices, as both of these are about equi-distant to where I lived right now (although 24 is more of a pain than 40 west). Kudos to a great experience.
