Del Frisco's may be a chain with restaurants across the United States, but they are a top quality steakhouse. This location is no exception to the consistent excellence I've experienced at other Del Frisco's. And honestly, when Landry's acquired Del Frisco's years ago, I admittedly had some reservations about whether or not they would retain the same quality as before. I am very pleased to report that the quality has remained at top levels. Over the years that I've eaten food from here, I have only had great meals. The doneness of the steak is always perfectly executed to the requested temperature. Sometimes at other steakhouses, the kitchen gets the temperature of the steak close enough or so off that I have to return it to the kitchen. Not at Del Frisco's. It's always perfection. The service here is also very professional. The staff always has a great attitude and look like they actually enjoy being there. Some might criticize the restaurant for having a tired, old atmosphere, but I find it to be elegant and relaxing. There's nothing wrong with a classic and classy feel for a steakhouse of this caliber. Any cut of steak is great here, so I would just recommend any cut that you're in the mood for. For sides, they're all delicious, but I especially love their mashed potatoes and potatoes au gratin. Salads are all excellent too. Despite having tried almost everything on their menu, I somehow never tried any of their appetizers. I have tried quite a variety of desserts here, and they were all amazing. Not sure if they still have the lemon cake, but that dessert had a special place in my heart. Let's also not forget about their bar. The bartenders can make virtually anything and they have nice collection of liquors and wines. No, Del Frisco's is not cheap compared to the average restaurant. But the food and experience is easily worth the price you pay. read more

I was excited to go to dinner with my husband celebrating our 30th anniversary. We used to go to Del Friscos back in the day and thought it would b fun to reminisce and enjoy a good meal. Boy were we wrong. Even after making a reservation a week before, we arrived on time for our 6pm reservation. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel as a burden to the staff. We were told they are busy and to stand and wait for our table - along with a few other couples. So we shrugged off the poor greeting and thought- let's get a drink! I tried for more than 15 mins to get the attention of one of the 2 bartenders with no luck. No acknowledgment- nothing. So back to our reservation, our table was available after waiting another 20 mins. - hooray- nope! We were stuck in a back corner behind a large post , no lighting and assigned with had to be the worst waitress for a higher end steakhouse. The service continued to be awful waiting another. 20 mins for our first drink. No specials, " what do you want" from the waitress. My filet Oscar style was covered in chopped asparagus with flecks of crab. (?). Sides were forgotten and then appeared later. The meat was tough and the night kept getting worse with poor service, very mediocre food and ended with a 350 dollar price tag to remind us of our error. Not sure if it's because I've been to the NYC Del Frisco's but this place needs some help. First of all, the decor is dated and doesn't scream either romantic or classy. We started off with a few appetizers such as crab cakes, shrimp cocktails and onion rings. The onion rings were large and nicely fried and the crab cakes were okay. The shrimp cocktail was good as well but needs to be presented better. I ordered the blue cheese salad and the 12 oz filet. Upgrading to 3-1/2 stars. Review weighted for pricing as always. The manager reached out to me after the last visit went poorly, so I decided to give it another try. Everyone has an off day and I appreciate businesses taking their reputation and customers seriously. This visit was a Thursday evening out with my wife. We were early, but were quickly accommodated. We were generally pleased with the experience and encountered none of problems from the previous visit. The pace of dining was natural, the waitstaff was professional and organized, and food prepared properly. Although we have had prime steakhouse meals that were better, we have certainly had worse and this was an enjoyable experience. Del Frisco's today is but a shell of its glory days. I went there for Valentine's Day and was really disappointed. No ambience, and the service left a lot to be desired. But, I guess the thing that disappointed me the most is that we were seated in the rear seat of the restaurant with some kind of mild rap music playing. Our food came out with the sides 10min later. I wish they had dress code. People in Jeans and hoodies. And the pictures on the walls were hanging crooked. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for an exceptional experience. Very disappointing! This has always been our favorite restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, but Del Friscos has definitely gone downhill. The first thing we noticed was the lower level of service. The service has always been impeccable, and for a restaurant this expensive, that should be expected. But the attentive wait staff was severely lacking. Our main server was very nice, but he had no help. No one replenishing water or table ware promptly, or clearing plates. Next the food-definitely gone downhill. The fresh rolls had so much butter/oil on top that they were greasy. Our server highly recommended the Caesar salad-said it was the best around. The salad was so highly dressed that it was soupy and the romaine tired and limp. It was very unappetizing. The salmon was not all that tasty-not the best flavour. I was excited to order the Truffle twice baked potato. It was ridiculous! A Very thick skin of cheese baked on and impossible to scoop if from the dish much less eat it. It was difficult to even find some potato. It seems that Del Friscos idea of good food is to overdo everything. Slather on lots of everything and people will think it's good. First-time guests. Expected a fine dining experience to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. Normally we go to Flemmings near Dry Creek as it's always spectacular. The review may be over the top, but it is nonetheless factual. I did not anticipate writing a review and only took two pics - my apologies. The host took us on a tour of the restaurant to find our seating; however, the table was occupied and he motioned us to follow him, then in the middle of the restaurant asked us to wait there while he ran off to the front again and came back a few minutes later to take us to the other side. The ambiance and decor were splendid. The noise level was perfect for holding normal conversations. The staff was polite, somewhat attentive, and although slow - flawless in their execution. However, as unpopular as this statement will be - "fine dining is not a place to experiment with one 70-80-year-old server on a table of 14 individuals, while also giving him two additional tables to serve." That is a very bad management decision. That large table should have had one dedicated server. Normally we share food because portions are too big and we do not eat leftover seafood or steak so we ordered an appetizer and entree to share. We ordered the CRISPY FRIED LOBSTER TAILS, described as Golden Crispy Petit Cold Water Tails, Remoulade, Hot Truffle Aioli, Jumbo Onion Rings for $56. What we were served were tasty sauces that were cold and jelly-like, burn onion rings, and overly greasy fried lobster. We also ordered the 45 DAY DRY-AGED PRIME STRIP 16oz for $76. What we were served was not "Dry-Aged" at all. Dry-Aged medium-rare steak would be extremely tender and buttery that melts in your mouth. What we received was a well seasoned overcooked and tough piece of meat that could hardly be cut with the beautiful steak knives that we so dull I had to use my muscles to cut into the meat. The cold and frequently refreshed water was perfect. The Banana Bread Pudding was very tasty; however, the bananas must have been dehydrated from WWII as they were very hard and blackish in color. Management noticed that we only ate about half our meal and after inquiring offered to not charge us for the Lobster Tails and gave us the dessert for our wedding anniversary. Had it not been our wedding anniversary, I may have made a scene but did not want to embarrass my bride so I kept most of my comments to myself. Since COVID they have remodeled in order to spread out with social distancing. This place is elegant. From table cloths to switching out silverware. Can't say enough about the great experience at Del Frisco's. We had decided to treat ourselves to special meal and ended up at Del Frisco's on a Wednesday evening. We got seated immediately, but were not served. The manager Chris Maness, went out of his way to correct the situation. He promptly got a server to take our drink orders (complimentary) and assisted us with food and wine selections. The double eagle margarita and cosmopolitan were excellent. Chris picked a perfect affordable wine based on our description. We dined on a half dozen oysters on the half shell. Although small, they were delicious! Next was a huge prime porterhouse steak, potatoes au gratin and classic Caesar salad... everything was well seasoned and tasty.... Been coming to Del Frisco's for years - it used to be one of our family's favorite restaurants. Disappointing food and service seem to becoming more common - at least this location. This visit we sat at the bar and it was on the weekend during the day. Food: Caesar salad - lettuce was wilted and many pieces with brown spots. I could only eat half due to quality of lettuce. I have not had a good salad here for 3 years. Del Frisco's - please address this. Salads seem pre-made too far in advance and the quality of vegetables is lacking. Dressing still very good but when served on poor quality greens it's not the same experience, Salmon - was "ok" - nothing special and unfortunately not worth the price. Filet - also "ok". Did not have the seasoning and meat quality we have seen in the past. Crab cakes - another "ok". Overall just not the same "wow" factor with the food. Service: Very lacking here. Given, we were at bar so it's not the same as a table. But still had to ask for another drink and iced tea to be re-filled every time. No water offered. Had to ask for bread. Bar and restaurant both not busy - many open seats and tables. 3 employees behind the bar and each time had to flag them down for anything. Conversations between staff prioritized over checking in with customers. Very disappointing. Trying to be understanding given labor shortage and all challenges restaurants have faced. But there should be no excuses for service when plenty of staff available and minimal customers. Part of great thing about going to Del Frisco's has always been a combo of awesome food and excellent service. Del Frisco's has really taken a dive in recent years. My 16oz Rib-eye had a lot of fat with some gristle. I think I got 3 good bites of steak out of it. The quality of the meat is poor. My wife's salmon showed up with no garnish or sauce whatsoever. After complaining they admitted they ran out of the "toppings" advertised on the menu and shouldn't have served it. Got different stories from several of the servers for our table. Seemed like a lot of confusion as nobody was on the same page. Nice staff and they did agree to comp half our meal, but I didn't come to Del Frisco's to arbitrate my bill. I came for great food that wasn't very good. I rarely write reviews for anything but have to write this while I'm still eating their food. I ordered lobster, crab cake and desert at 4pm for me to pick up at 5:15pm. At 5:30pm I called and was told they did not even start preparing because "the order just went in and it needs 20 min preparation." Then I was transferred to manager for further explanation, who quickly hung up on me after saying he would check the order status. The portion is so tiny and the food doesn't taste good either, definitely not worth its price. Would not recommend this restaurant. We were craving some upscale fare for a 'fancy night' at home, so ordered one of DF's meal kits (steak dinner for 4) for take out. While not technically cheap, it was a very reasonable price and we got enough food for a feast. The quality of the meat was top-notch, and it was super easy to grill up at home (but go easy on the seasoning they provide, little goes a long way). The creamed corn and potato sides were excellent; asparagus was fine but maybe suffered more than the others from being take-out. And both the desserts were excellent as well. A few nights ago we returned for a weekday 7pm reservation after the COVID-19 limited re-opening. One would think that service would be over the top to encourage return visits after the shutdown. But it was the same lackluster service we experienced pre-pandemic. They were not very busy, yet we waited for drinks, waited for food, waited for waiter. There was just too much "wait"in this experience. Just like the last time - which was a return after an extended absence after the prior disaster. What is it, Del Frisco's? First time in here and I must say as soon as we walked in we got a warm welcome. The ambiance was very romantic. One thing I loved is that it was really warm in the restaurant, usually it's cold everywhere. We got a lobster tail, lobster Mac and cheese, bone in ribeye with black truffle butter and crab and mashed potatoes. I couldve done without the mashed potatoes, they weren't all that. When the food came they served us our sides and everything on our plates which was very fancy. It is very pricey we spent $400 just for us two. We didn't feel rushed or anything and now I know why LOL. All in all it was a great date night!! read more

Our reservation was at 7:30 pm. We checked in at 7:16 pm. The hostess told us due to the high volume we will have to wait. We got seated at 7:50 pm. Completely understandable! My boyfriend both knew we weren't going to eat right away so while we waited for a table, we went into the Cigar Room! I do believe you have to bring your own cigar. The room also has a Full Service Bar. It gave off a 1920's Mafia vibe. We both loved it. The boyfriend enjoyed his Cuban Cigar while I enjoyed the nice piano music playing in the background. Thank god we were seated in one of the smaller rooms where it was a lot quieter. The service was amazing. Our server Donna was top notch and so attentive. Girl knows her steaks! The whole restaurant was busy but everybody working was on top of things. For dinner. We were given complimentary bread. By far the best bread I have ever had at a restaurant. It was warm and the butter just melted perfectly into your mouth. The boyfriend even enjoyed it and he doesn't like bread! We shared a Del's Salad that was split for the both of us. We both ordered 12 oz Filet Mignon. I had my steak cooked Medium Rare. The boyfriend Rare. To top it off, the servers here know their steak and ask you how you like it cooked! For the price point I expected a five star experience; everything from service to the atmosphere, to the meal was just 'okay'. The waiter told us (after failing to bring bread to the table to forgetting appetizers and cappacinos) intimated to us that he works at Old Chicago during the week - shocker... The music piped in was 80s rock, not that I mind but I don't want it blasting in my ear during a nice dinner (if I was hanging in the bar I would feel differently). The meal for 4 of us was north of $550 , I've paid 1/2 as much at Perry's Steakhouse and similar price at Flemings with an amazing experience. I went to the Del Frisco's in Greenwood Village with a few friends on Friday and we had a great time! Everyone enjoyed their meals--the dynamite shrimp and crab cakes were favorites, and the "sparkling romance" specialty cocktail was delicious--but the best part was our waiter, Miguel. He was hilarious and very attentive (but never intrusive) and kept us laughing the entire time. 5/5 stars for Del Frisco's and 10/5 stars for Miguel! read more

Great choice for DRW- and really any time. There is an abundance of steak houses in Denver so it is really important to differentiate yourself. Del Frisco's differentiation is customer service - oh and the steak is rockin'. Del's offers complimentary valet so of course I used that! I was asked my name and I didn't even see him write it down but when I picked up my car a couple hours later, he greeted me by name. Nice. We had 5:45 reservations and arrived around 5:30, knowing that DRW would be busy. Yikes. We took a seat at the bar and did not get our table until 6:15. We had trouble flagging down the bartender for our bill so the manager just comped our drinks. Very classy. Our server was terrific and very knowledgable about the menu and the wines. I had the Del's salad which was really good. The bacon was delicious. The regular dressing was not gluten free so I opted for balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Hubs had the gumbo and he enjoyed it- but I think he was a litte jealous of my greens...and the bacon! We both had the 8 oz filet which was TINY. I swear I've had 8 oz filets before that were larger however, it was perfectly cooked and so tender and mouth-wateringly delicious. The server happily brought me two sides of broccoli since I couldn't do the jalapeno mac and cheese- but Hubs liked it. Broccoli is broccoli but I was glad to have the veggies with my steak. Dessert was a small chocolate mousse cup but an absolutely perfect ending. I thought I might still be hungry after reviewing the portion sizes but I really wasn't. It was all quite filling and I left feeling satisfied and happy. Del's is a classic choice for steak and probably a bit more old-school than Shanahan's but also seems to lack some pretention. Sometimes you can't make this sh*t up. Literally. (Hint. Read on to the chicken.), My wife and I had dinner on Dec. 17. We arrived and were seated at a small table wedged between two large tables in the rear of one of the back rooms. If you turned your head towards the wall you risked hitting the large TV hanging off the wall. Squeeze another table in, make more money. It gets better. We waited probably 15 minutes for our waitress to take our drink order. We then waited 15 to 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The waitress, who admittedly was doing her best, explained that the 'bar was really backed up.' Right. We ordered our food and the adventure began. The mashed potatoes arrived and were cold. My wife's prime ribeye ($56 as I recall) arrived not on that well-known Del Frisco sizzling platter, but barely warm to the touch, cooked medium rather than medium rare, and full of gristle. Prime? Hmm. But the coup de grace was the chicken I ordered. The waitress placed the chicken in front of me and I immediately noticed a stench unlike anything I had ever smelled from food. I told my wife who said 'I can smell it from here.' I got the attention of the nearest waiter (not our waitress) who said 'I can smell it.' He took it away and our waitress arrived. She said when she was bringing it to our table she thought she smelled something bad, but assumed the smell was coming from her mask. She said when the chicken was returned to the kitchen the cook smelled it and couldn't believe it smelled so bad. (Kind of begs the question why he or she sent it out in the first place.) The manager arrives. She said she could smell it when she walked into the dining room--not when she got to our table, mind you, but when she entered the dining room. Remember, by this time the chicken had returned to the kitchen. Her theory for the smell was that someone on the other end of the dining room had a personal mishap (apparently bowel related) and that the chicken had picked up that smell as it was being brought to our table. While I thought her explanation was creative, I assured her that the cause wasn't the poor guy across the room with the bowel mishap but the bad chicken. She went on, and on, and on, about how this shouldn't happen and explained that others had returned their chicken that evening because it smelled so bad. So, she assured us, one of the most expensive restaurants in Denver wouldn't be serving anymore chicken this evening. Brilliant. For this delightful evening you might expect the manager would comp the meal? Or maybe buy us dinner for the next 10 years? Nope, the manager told us she wouldn't charge us for the chicken and she gave us a free piece of lemon cake to take home. To convey how fortunate we should feel for the lemon cake, she told us it was the last piece and she'd had to wrestle it away from another waitress. I felt so special. I note that Del Frisco, in response to all other critical reviews, merely sends an auto-generated response asking the reviewer to fill out a feedback form. Classy. Might I suggest Shanahan's or Ocean Prime, both less than 5 mins away. read more

I do not see the appeal. It's the Applebee's of Greenwood Village smack dab in the middle of a boring business park. If you're a fan large chain steakhouses with overpriced food that tastes like it's been frozen for two years, thawed, and served, then this is the place for you. This place is a joke, don't bother. If the lazy staff bothers to honor your reservation you might get a mediocre meal, congratulations.

Pre-pandemic we would go to Del Frisco's for our anniversary almost every year. During the pandemic we were ordering their takeout special which was an amazing deal. Went last night to celebrate my birthday along with my best friends birthday which are two weeks apart. Service was impeccable as usual. Really enjoy how they are professional but friendly and not stuffy like some other high-end steakhouses. Steaks were wonderful, perfectly cooked. Au gratin potatoes were also delicious. Lobster was over cooked and tough, which for the price is very disappointing. Butter cake for dessert was amazing, also as usual. read more

I used to love this restaurant and have many fond memories of eating here. Unfortunately they seem to have fallen into the mediocrity trap. While our meal here wasn't terrible, it was not up to the price point. First of all if I'm spending this money on a night out, I would like for the oysters to be cleared. Watching our old shells turn rancid for 30 minutes just isn't appetizing. This would have been okay except that the preparation was amateurish. They were washed to the point that there was no ocean salt flavor. Your sink in the back is not a good replacement flavor. The mignonette sauce was so overwhelming that it drowned out the oysters... sadly this might have been a good thing. The rest of the meal was pretty good, but not amazing. The concept is getting pretty dated. Please focus on the steak as an anchor and add to it. We probably won't be back, because there are so many better options around town. Started off a little slow after being seated in a side room alone, but ended with a bang! Service was great. Adriana,our server, was great! Knowledgeable and personable! One of the best servers we've had. It's cinco de mayo so I tried the new margarita.. grapefruit jalepeno... Awesome! I had the steak medallions for my entree..... delicious. And for dessert.. it was tough..soooo many great options.. we went with banana bread pudding.... can you say Amazing!! The manager was super attentive and made sure we were enjoying our night out for our anniversary. If I lived here I'd be back!! I don't, so you go instead! You will be glad you did!! read more
