For Thanksgiving I decided not to cook and wanted to treat myself to a tasty steak and sides, so the only logical choice was Del Frisco's. I was unable to make a reservation at my regular Plano location but saw that the Fort Worth location had spots so I took that. When I arrived, I was seated promptly upstairs. Like others have mentioned, the ceiling and light fixtures are past due for a deep cleaning. Shay was my waitress and she was very nice, though service was a bit slow. I do recommend her though - I can imagine how hectic holidays can be. I ordered a medium bone-in ribeye, lobster mac, and broccolini. My sides were awesome - no complaints there. The $95 ribeye was as tough as the Southside of Chicago. It was cooked properly but was a horrible piece of meat. Shay asked me how it was and I told her it was tough. She immediately offered to remake it but I was starving and wanted to eat, no matter how bad it was. She said she'd send her manager over to see what could be done, but he didn't show up. She came back maybe 15 mins later and said she would have it taken off completely or offered to remake it again. By this time, I'd eaten about three of their rolls (so good!) and had eaten over half of my sides so I was getting full. I just asked her to take it off and she did. By the time a manager did show up, he seemed annoyed. I ignored the attitude and just told him that Shay had taken care of it. He said ok and walked off. I took a piece of their Butter Cake to go and it was so good! Will I visit Del Frisco's again, yes, but I'll make sure to go to my regular Plano location. They always get it right. read more

Legit walked in and got a seat at the bar. Right away (but honestly like 3 min so we could situate) bartender came over; SAMMY (Sweetheart) took our drink order. Spectacular dirty martini with blue cheese olives. Had the wedge salad, NY strip, roasted mushrooms and roasted broccolini! All absolutely on point. Had a couple of beers too.... Ice cold. Atmosphere was exactly what you hope for in a steakhouse. Service impeccable (and resilient listening to a couple old PITAs). Of all the fine dining restaurants in Fort Worth Del Frisco's is always the best place to go. We went for a casual dinner at the bar. Our server/bartender Taylor was outstanding. The general manager, Austin, stopped to check on us and see how our food was. We enjoyed the tenderloin sliders, lobster mac & cheese, bacon, and dynamite shrimp. All were very good. Worst steak I've had at an upscale steakhouse, or any steakhouse for that matter sadly. I had high expectations for this place. The atmosphere was really the only high point of the dinner. It's a very nice place. And if you sit at the bar, I'm sure you'll receive great service. We received well below average service and weren't checked on after food was delivered. If we had been, we'd have asked them to recook the steaks. Which brings me to the primary reason this place gets a 1 star and a fat X on my chances of ever returning. The steaks were a tad overcooked, but the worst part was how the chef is dumping seasoning all over these steaks. SALTIEST STEAK YOU'LL EVER EAT. My family has been going here since I was young, and in the last 13 years we meet up 1x every year at the same time. It has always been an outstanding place to go that hits all the traditional tropes you expect from a high-end steak house in cowtown Tx ...but as of this (and the last) year, it's clear they no longer value their former level of quality and control. Was sad to hear a unanimous desire from my entire group to finally choose a new location for 2024. (And I'm one of the people that wanted to give it another go this year). Thanks to the super sweet hostess offered to hang my coat for me. My husband had the Double Eagle (filet with jumbo shrimp). I'm not a fan of steak, but I can say his shrimp melted in my mouth. I had the roasted chicken with arugula salad (Arugula, Heirloom Tomato Vinaigrette, Black Garlic-Olive Tapenade), it was divine. This is a really lovely restaurant/bar. I like to come here to work which I know sounds super weird, but I love the atmosphere. They have strong wifi, great food and excellent drinks. My team and I always sit at the bar so we can interact with the bartenders. It's just more fun that way! The steak salad with those horseradish deviled eggs are *chef's kiss* for real. Back 8 years after my first visit in 2015 and it's still 5 stars. Great service for being 3 days after Christmas. Highly recommend reservations even on a weeknight. They opened up a Del Friscos in Los Angeles this past year so that's my next stop since I still live there. Was very disappointed in the food quality when compared to other Del Frisco's Double Eagle we've visited in the past. The Dallas location was by far more superb in both quality and taste. We started off dinner for our group of 10 with the Shanghai style fried calamari and the dynamite shrimp. Both the appetizers where drench in the same sweet sauce, but had different toppings, and was soggy. Our group order a combination of Chilean Sea Bass, Filet Mignon, Tomahawk bone in, and scallops. The Chilean Sea Bass was not fresh at all with a strong fishy smell, the sauce that was pour on the plate was very salty and the crab fried rice was a soggy mess. We even suspect that the fish was under cooked. Nothing like the Chilean Sea Bass we had the previous week at the Dallas location. The scallops were seared perfectly and tasted good. The Tomahawk was huge but 2 of us was able to finish it off. All 5 of our filet mignon were decent but was lacking in flavor and slightly dry. We also ordered an array of sides which most were decent as they are just simple veggies but the mushrooms where overly salted. The lobster Mac and cheese was a hit with the teenagers as usual. Our group was was extremely hungry from our day of shopping and didn't want to make a fuss over the food as the service was nice but extremely slow. We had to flag people down to top off water and for additional round of bread. I'd expected more for dinner that cost over $1k. Definitely not worth it. read more

The only reason this place gets 4 stars is because their bartenders are so good at what they do. Kaitlyn makes the best martini in town. Del's used to be sooo good... Landry's bought them out and things have gone downhill quickly. Typical chain restaurant now. The bread was so good but Landry's had to bring their own bread in. The lobster bisque was creamy and delicious but now it's thin and almost tastes tomatoey!? The wedge salad is now exactly half the size it used to be. We know because we always used to split the wedge. Tonight it came out and we're asking where the other half was. My husband got a baked potato as a side for his steak. The potato was $12 then they added $1 for cheese, $1 for sour cream, $1 for EACH addition! Ot was a $15 baked potato!! Martinis are now $19. Their prices are super inflated. If it was the good old Del Frisco's food I wouldn't have a problem with it but they are barely a nice steakhouse anymore. Lots of seafood. Steak tartare has been substituted for tuna tartare. Emphasis is really seafood now. And obviously there is no longer a dress code. People were coming in looking like they walked off the beach. Again, my martini made me happy tonight. Took my wife there the day before Valentine's Day walked in and the place was amazingly cool. Our waiter name was Glen who was fantastic. We ordered appetizers that came out pretty quick and really enjoyed them. However, we waited for almost 50 minutes for our entrées which I ordered the tuna and my wife ordered the grouper. My tuna was horrible. My wife's grouper was horrible. It was a small very small fillet and it was not cooked right. She ate it even though she did not like it. The people sitting next to us got their 20 minutes after us and had their full meal prepared and eaten halfway by the time we got our meal Glen knew I was very upset but I did not make a big fuss about it. Paid the $200 bill and got out of there just very disappointing to go to Del Frisco's and have a shit email. Maybe maybe will not go back. There's a lot of places right around there to choose from so most likely will go to Ruth CHris or capital Grille next time. We come here every year for our anniversary and the last time we came it was right when Landry's took over and we were not pleased. HOWEVER, after not coming last year and being back this time I will say it has changed a lot and is much better! It still is the same as the ol Del Friscos but much better than the time before. The bread is different but it's like a fancier Texas Roadhouse type bread and it was so good! Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu. It seems there is more seafood options. I normally order the VIP but this time I will say it's not as good as the old VIP. Their margarita was really good though! My husband really enjoyed the martini options. We tried the bacon app and it was AMAZING! Also their sides are slightly different but I will say an improvement with much more flavor. The creamed corn has a street corn style to it as well. We went for Thanksgiving dinner. I wish they werent open but they were. We didn't want to cook so instead booked here. The Thanksgiving turkey was good, worth 55 a person with an ice cream scoop per person of sides is debatable. Also I left most of my sides aside. Turns out I don't like an overpowering sage taste in every single side) including the cranberry sauce). The amount of gravy must have been 2 tablespoons. The service was extraordinarily slow. Our waitress, we saw once every 25 mins or so, including over a 30 min wait for dessert. Yall have pre made the deserts I assume but she talked as if it was being made from scratch when she came back 3 times (yet the folks next to us got theirs in 5 mins). If you're making a slice of pecan pie from scratch at 730 pm, I have news for you. I'd have just skipped it if I knew it was going to take 30 mins. Or been more patient if someone would have told me it'd take that long I rate high and round up but the service was really bad, I'm sorry. I'd rather they didn't have to serve on a. Holiday but they were there and I still tipped over 20 percent but spending over 2.5 hours there for a pre fixe meal was a bit much. It was close to 25 mins in between visits and after our drink order our server didn't want to stay to allow us to order an app, or when it came between app and meal. Before we could say another word it was "great I'll put that in" and she skated away like Kristy Yamaguchi We spent a total of 420 dollars for 2 people and got worse service than a smaller chain restaraunt even though we were polite and patient. Not a good experience and we won't do it again. the turkey was perfectly cooked, the sides were beat to death with sage, the service was really worse than I've received at any stage of a restaraunt at any level. I wasn't unhappy, just bummed out by the experience because I've had better service ordering a burger at a chilis or Applebee's. Also, I was between a 2 or a 3 on this one (almost 4 before the bad service) but once I heard the folks behind me say "that service sucked" (they had the same waitress) I decided to drop it to a 2 to make sure I wasn't just being needy or crazy. Because I'm never needy and super patient. This was a 2 star experience and I regret the amount of money I spent on it. That is when we go I could not eat this much food all the time I would be 400 pounds. The service has always been very good very nice staff always welcoming. That is one thing I have to have very good service. When I am paying top dollor it better be very good. Or I will not go back. You need to make reservations and the palce is a litle tight the tables are close and the place is not real big. Good size bar you will see when you come in. Good host people at the front great service from them. The food has been excellent cook perfect nice and hot each time that we have been. I have had the ribeye, filet mignon and tasted other meats all very good. The price is up there but for good service and a great steak it is worth it once in a while. Some meals come with sides other you have to order sides and they are big side so share them. The wine it is amazing and overwhelming large. Fun to look at and if you want to spend the money go for it. We have bought winein the past but lately we have been getting mixed drinks and they make very good mixed drinks. read more

Phenomenal. That's the word to describe our dining experience last night at Del Frisco's. Holy moly. We made reservations at 8pm to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We chose it because Del Frisco's was our first (and best) upscale steakhouse of both our lives...20 years ago. We always wondered - is it ranked #1 in our minds because it's that good or because we were so young and that was our first time? Well the question has been answered! I started with a "VIP" cocktail and she had Tito's/soda. They brought out the scrumptious bread and it only got better from there. We wanted a little bit of everything so we got the dinner for two where we chose 2 appetizers, 2 sides, 2 desserts and FOUR entrees. Yes, FOUR entrees! The bacon appetizer is a must. No joke. It's slow cooked overnight and everyone last bit of tenderness shows that. Unbelievable. Un. believable. Shrimp cocktail was legit - large and meaty - a wonderful second place. The sides we ordered were asparagus and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were perfect - buttery and garlicy goodness. The asparagus was the only letdown of the evening. They were plenty large and cooked just right - they were just too salty for us. No big deal because quite frankly we didn't have enough room to fit all the food in our bellies anyway! Entrees. Scallops. YUM. Large. Succulent. Cooked perfectly and topped with a lemony sauce. So fantastic. Salmon. Flavorful and prepared just right - also topped with the sauce. Filet. Cooked perfectly to order - so so tender and with the perfect crust. But I won the night when I upgraded to the Japanese A5. Oh. My. Goodness!! So marbled, melt in your mouth good...perfectly deliciously medium rare. WINNER. Desserts. Butter cake ....ohhhhh butter cake! Moist, easy to eat and so...buttery! Cheesecake is my favorite but there was plenty to argue about between the cheesecake and butter cake. And the restaurant provided two glasses of Del's Delight for our anniversary. All three desserts were top notch and we rolled out of that place with no room whatsoever in the belly. Service was on point. Friendly and fast. Not intrusive but conversational.
