Never even had the chance to review "my experience" here. I have dined here before and was satisfied with both the food and service--Booked a return visit through Open Table for Monday night football game and the reservation was accepted and confirmed I then get a message left on my phone from the restaurant telling me it was in error and they could not honor it as they were full--wait..it gets better--they then tell me my option is to try and get a seat at the bar--which is first come first serve!!! what a terrible job of customer service--the fact the reservation was confirmed in error was a problem between them and Open Table--not me.. the fact they did absolutely zero to provide any kind of option for us was pathetic. the own the restaurant, at the very least I would have blocked off two seats at the bar and allowed us to have dinner there--but apparently that was too much to ask. the world's worst example of customer service ever--will not go back., mistakes happen, i get that but it was on them to fix it and they failed miserably read more

Place was considerably knew but I wanted to try it! The ambience was nice e and my server was a great guy. But this place is too expensive not to be able to cook lamb chops or steaks... For it to be the 2nd or 3rd weekend open, they are still working out some things I guess. There are tons of staff/mgmt around watching, greeting. The service was good. We had 2 servers for our table of 2. It was quite busy in there on this sat evening. The website says they strictly enforce the business casual dress code but that is def not true. I think we were one of the most dressed up in the place. There were many shorts, tanks, tennis shoes being worn. Even the staff had on Js and new balances with their suits. Drinks: I ordered an espresso martini which somehow didn't get put in so I had to wait a little longer for that. It was tasty. I wanted to try the anejo old fashioned but couldn't fathom the $35 sticker price. Food: We split the wedge salad which was good 8/10. The complimentary bread they serve is the star. It was so yummy and fluffy. It's like Hawaiian sweet rolls. It has honey and some special salt on it. I got the surf and turf filet trio which was delicious. I ordered it medium well (explained by my server as pink throughout-* usually its just the center but ok) it def looks like medium or less. I didn't complain and still ate most of it. The mashed potatoes were excellent and actually quite seasoned. I've never had such seasoned potatoes at a restaurant. I expect a steakhouse to be able to perfectly cook a steak but it's almost never the case. Other than that it was 10/10. Tried the lamb chops also ordered medium well but came out well done. At $77 yes I'd like that re cooked. We were asked to double check with light from our phones to make sure it was actually over cooked. That was an odd comment because not only was it over cooked 'in color' but it was in the bite/chew. The other said "I've never seen them cooked like that before". This time it came out right but was all fat, barely any meat on it. Anyway they took it off the bill. Honestly it didn't have much flavor oddly. Had the strawberry rhubarb cheesecake for dessert and it was good 7/10. We kept getting the "we've only been open 10 days" so still figuring things out. I think maybe give them some time before going and also it's just a little over priced. I was hoping this would be my new birthday spot but not so sure anymore. Id go back for the filet and to try other seafood. They had live music. There are 2 floors with an elevator and stairs. The upstairs bathrooms are beautiful as is all the decor. Indy has its fair share of steakhouses but Del Frisco's is up there towards the top with food, ambiance, and service. We had Christmas dinner here and the service was great. We have a 1 year old and a 2 year old so I was slightly nervous bringing them to such a nice restraint on Christmas but they did great and everyone was so kind to them. There was also live music in the bar that played through the restaurant. Great spot, even if just for cocktails! read more

We were so excited Indianapolis finally got a Del Frisco's! It is one of our favorite restaurants to visit while traveling and couldn't wait to have one in our home city. The restaurant was beautiful. It has 2 levels, live music, & beautiful lighting. I was curious to see if the decor/ambiance would be as luxurious as the other locations we have visited & it was! Our server was phenomenal! She made sure everything was to our liking & was extremely informative. Any questions we had, she had an answer! The manager also made a point to come around to each table to see how they were liking their meal. Del Frisco's is & always will be a dining experience I look forward to! Food is bland, the lobster Mac and Cheese and the Mashed Potatoes needed flavor. For the cost it definitely needs new chefs, the steak was good. The most memorable part of the night was when the waiter basically threw my cousin's to go bag on the floor and then asked him was that fine. Had dinner with my husband last night. The restaurant is beautiful. The host sat us in a quite corner, perfect for date night. The live music was nice and not over powering. Our server Gisselle was great! She was knowledgeable about the menu and made sure we had everything we needed. The meal was timed perfectly for each course. I had the seabass, it is incredible! We also had the yellow tail crudo, you could tell it was fresh and the flavor combinations were perfect! It was a wonderful experience, I highly recommend! read more

I was in Indy for work. My work dinner canceled and we were supposed to go to the "other" steakhouse, so I had steak on my mind. Cool place. Only their 2nd week (8/13/2024). They weren't very busy. I sat at the bar and it took about 7-8 minutes to get a drink ordered. For an appetizer I ordered a bar portion (not on the menu) of the bourbon bacon. Spicy but very good. For dinner I had the 8 ounce filet and a loaded baked potato. The steak was tasty. The baked potato was a 2. How do you mess up a baked potato you ask? I asked myself the same--my answer is it wasn't very loaded. Overall 3.5 stars. I'd go back. read more

Simply not worth the higher prices. The bread, app, and meal were okay besides the ordered medium rare stake was rare and highly over seasoned especially for the dry aged stake. Wait staffs hair were all unkept, gody earrings, was surprising that was allowed for a high end stake house. Wagu was nice and buttery. Twice baked truffle was great but only had three truffles on it. Waitress short changed us as well. Live music was good but to loud so I couldn't hear my date ): Will try somewhere else next time. Wonderful Christmas dinner! We started off with great cocktails. Then enjoyed calamari (I am very particular about my calamari and it was the best ever!),shrimp cocktail (Enjoyed the different dipping sauce options.) and wedge salads. Entree's were all fabulous! (Porterhouse, NY Strip, filet, and lobster) Sides asparagus, chateau potatoes, whipped potatoes, truffle fries and cream corn all surpassed our expectations. Dessert's chocolate cake, butter cake and an all time favorite lemon cake. We've enjoyed Del Frisco since the 80's. read more

I attended a birthday dinner here. The food was so delicious. I got the crab cakes and they were mouth watering good. The drinks were a bit over priced and lacked in alcohol with the price tag. The tables were a little crowded but nothing friendly people couldn't manage. Our servers were really nice and took great care of us. It had a dark romantic vibe to it. After eating at the New York City - Rockerfella Plaza location I was excited to see Del Frisco's was opening in Indianapolis. I ordered the Prime Ribeye, mashed potatoes, asparagus, shrimp cocktail, and ended the meal with the strawberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious and contending with some of my other favorite local steak houses in the city. I didn't catch his name, but the live music was amazing, making the night's ambiance comfortable and relaxing. I recommend this spot for a nice date night. Service was on point and you're in the heart of downtown if you plan on doing anything afterwards. Since I was so enthralled by the experience, I totally forgot to take pictures. My husband and I have been coming here since this location opened. We've always had a good experience especially with the food & service, we even joined their rewards program. The last 2 visits were not so good and they've changed a lot of things. For example, bar menu isn't available all day anymore like it used to be, on several occasions I had to send my crab cakes back because it always came out cold. And on our last visit I ordered the lobster bisque and I was served cold chunky broth, that I had to send back. For the amount of money we spend here the food needs to be consist. We ended up going around the corner to Dean's Steakhouse. They had Free Valet and the lobster bisque was hot & delicious. read more

My wife and I were looking for a restaurant that offered good food, live music and great service to celebrate our 44th anniversary while we were in Indianapolis. We found Del Frisco's as we were just walking around and we were impressed, from our first contact with the hosts to the service by David and the staff working with him. He even took notice of my wife's food allergies (before we had the chance to mention it) and even got special bread for her! Every item we ordered, based on his descriptions, came out just perfect. He even gave us a bowl of mixed berries for dessert even if we told him we were already so full to even look at the dessert menu. Everyone went 'above and beyond' to make us feel truly special. We heard that Del Frisco's was the newest nice steakhouse in town and had to try it for ourselves. We attended for Devour Indy and were impressed with the friendly and personable service, the attention to detail, and of course the food. We especially loved the honey butter rolls (see picture of them in this post) that come with your meal so much we ordered a second batch. The butter cake was also delicious and the vanilla ice cream on it is probably the best I've had. For a special occasion or night on the town in Indianapolis, Del Frisco's is a great place for a quality meal. read more

We came here for our anniversary. Staff was very welcoming and gave us a greeting card and dessert at the end of the evening to make our anniversary a little special. We ordered the octopus as an appetizer, it was delicious. We shared the 32oz tomahawk & Chilean sea bass. We didn't order any sides. The tomahawk was very salty; thankfully the server was attentive with our water glasses. The sea bass came with crab fried rice; it was my favorite dish. We were given a complimentary piece of cheesecake and ordered their infamous butter cake. The butter cake came with icecream; this is one of the best butter cakes I've ever had. Was privileged to attend a taste test evening last night as the plus one of my Granddaughter. Decor was tastefully done with a seating capacity of 175. The large strategically placed mirrors gave the room a larger appearance. The professional staff was very friendly and accommodating without giving off a stuff feeling that some higher end restaurants exude. We each started with a bat beverage and a a very tender and favorable Filet slider,than moved on you their petite Lamb Chops and thick cut Nueske's Bacon. After a brief rest we moved to the impressive Shellfish Tower. The offered sampling had a straight from the sea freshness and taste. We both had the lump crab, hugh shrimp and halved lobster tail. My adventurous Granddaughter sampled the oysters and caviar that she found fresh with out a fishy smell. As a side note we need to use any of the available sauces in order to get the true flavor of the product. After refreshing our adult beverage we moved to the Meat station which offered a sample of their Tomahawk, porter house, tenderloin and more. All excellent flavor and tender with one minor exceptions, my tomahawk sample was a bit chewy with unrendered fat. At my granddaughters direction we moved to a of their couple dessert options. All very good ending to my granddaughters food testing evening. I of course had to graze the room again for the Chops bacon and the massive Shellfish Tower. As far as value of your dollar for the food served, I can not say as their online menu does not show costs. read more

Wow, wow, wow. It was their 1 week anniversary and they had everything locked in already. It is so refreshing to have top notch service with well trained and engaging staff who really knew the details on the food and beverages. We loved every recommendation. The atmosphere is great from a speakeasy vibe around the bar with an amazing singer (McKenna) throughout the evening to intimate dining 1 level up. We had the melt in your mouth bourbon bacon appetizer (get the full size or you will regret not getting it) , salads, filet and ribeye the mushrooms as a side, could be their own dinner they were so good, and then my husband went for the butter cake dessert. I am gluten free and everyone along the way was very knowledgable about what was safe and what wasn't. Mathew was amazing as our waiter. I think we found a new favorite steakhouse. read more

Food was very good, but I have had better. The devour menu prices are very misleading. While most devour prices are a set amount for a 3 or 4 course meal, this is not the case here. While the menu states choose one under each headline, they are not all included in that set price. With the up charges for the steaks on devour, we paid more than the original menu pricing plus the sides. So be careful what you order, it may end up costing you more than the original menu. read more
