We went to Del Frisco's Grille on a Saturday night with some friends that were in from LA. We didn't have a reservation but were seated promptly at one of the bar tables. We sat there for 10-15 minutes and nobody came by our table. I had to walk to the bar to get a wine list. The entire night, the service was horrifically slow. It's as if nobody in the place knows what's going on or has any intuition at all. I started pouring everybody's wine as the server was nowhere in site for half the night. I got my $50 ribeye and it was average at best. I asked for it "medium-rare," and it was "medium" and not a great cut of meat. The waitress failed to bring one of the sides and we had to track her down to remind her. We ordered a second bottle of wine (another $160) and it took them 15 minutes to bring it out with new glasses. We just cancelled the order as we were finished with our meal at that point. The waitress brought my girlfriend's dessert that we were waiting on as we were walking out of the restaurant. She seemed surprised that we were leaving it. It's as if we are occupying oxygen on two different planets. On her planet, the service is horrible and the food is average and it's a surprise to everybody that either should be important. If you're going to charge Del Frisco prices, you should offer service and food quality that are consistent with the typical Del Frisco's experience. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I'm not sure how this place keeps the doors open. read more

Very disappointing.... We were celebrating a friends birthday and looking for a restaurant in the Cherry Creek area on Monday evening we tried Cherry Creek Grill, Hillstone and several others and we're unable to get reservations so we chose Del Frisco's, I was hesitant to go there because of two previous experiences where it was just not up to par. The first thing that was annoying was the light over our table flickering our server Michael was good and trying to do the best he could with what he had. Two of our group wanted to order fillets which they were out of... WHAT? A steakhouse that doesn't have a fillet at 6:30 on a Monday night the server told us their Sysco truck didn't come in? So one person ordered a ribeye and the other a New York strip, I got the salmon & fillet mix & match which they substituted a sirloin for since they were out of fillet, I ordered mine medium and it came out super rare/raw the ribeye wanted there's rare more to the rare side it came out medium the person who ordered the New York got a ribeye they took it back and they didn't get their NY steak till everyone else was done eating. They did give us some free dessert and took mine off the bill after asking to do so, The dessert menu had items crossed out and things written in very unprofessional/ shabby!!! We never did see or speak to a manager!? This was not a good experience for a high-end steakhouse three strikes you're out I will not be going back! Customer service is terrible. From rude and dismissive hostess to poor management and some emotional support manager that calls his female patrons sexist curse words. Wouldn't go back here ever. Used to be a good place. Don't imagine they will be in business much longer So after writing this review I was contacted by corporate and told they would contact me within 7 days. So the next time I went into the place I was told I was not welcome and given the GM's business card. Never contacted or called back by either. Guess they don't want business. So yesterday we were in Cherry Creek North and lunchtime rolled around and after discussing the options (sushi, French, Italian etc) a burger sounded good. Then, where to go? We've liked Del Frisco's in the past, so why not now? Did not disappoint! Ironically I had the shaved steak sandwich (French dip) and my partner had a caprese salad, no burgers were ordered but both of us really liked our food. The roll for my sandwich was soft and tasty and the meat was really flavorful, the salad was immensely fresh with burrata and high quality balsamic. The atmosphere is super posh, business-person lunch feel but no regrets on crashing that party in our jeans and we were made to feel at home. In the heat of the summer this place provides a cool respite, in the winter it's cozy. You pay a couple of bucks extra in the item pricing for the atmosphere but we still came in around $40 for a really nice restful lunch. read more

My friend is a real estate agent and she took me and two other clients there on Monday night, April 8th for Happy Hour. To you say it was a sheer disappointment is an understatement. Especially when Del Friscos is reputable and the other locations I have visited have impeccable service. Right away, it was obvious that they were short staffed. You can see one of the managers, I'm assuming he's a manager because of how he was dressed, is trying to pour a beer and it's pouring several glasses half-full foam. That could have been easily overlooked. However, the bartender approached us and as she was laying down our black cloth napkins, I picked mine up and laid it in my lap. Apparently, I was not supposed to do that. She exuded frustration and stated "Oh my god, you are giving me anxiety." I did not realize that they give you two napkins. My apologies. She realizes our reaction is less than pleased and she states, I am sorry. I am just really OCD." You know what, then maybe you should take your medication or stay home. That is not professional nor appropriate behavior. In the restaurant business, it is imperative that you know how to deal with stress and high pressure situations. Besides us, there were two guys two are right and two guys across from us. They were also a couple of booths occupied. Either way, that is not our problem. That was so just distasteful. She has no idea what it even took for me to get there and what kind of day I was having. The last thing I need is to go to a Happy Hour and be berated for a minor misunderstanding such as placing a napkin on my lap. Not to mention the rest of our device was mediocre. She knew we were upset and it was apparent she started to ignore us. Needless to say, it was a consensus that none of the four of us will be returning to that location. What an insult to the Cherry Creek community & the other high end restaurants surrounding it. She's lucky we still left her $25 for a tip but our bill was $137 and we are professionals. Once again, disgusting service from this establishment. Our food came out wrong 3 times! Service was downright aweful. I rarely ever go here but everytime I do, I end up with a fraudulent charge on my credit card. This has happened to me three times in the last year at Del Frisco's. I always keep my copy of the receipt just in case I have to dispute the charge. While I wish I wouldn't have tipped at all, when I do tip, the server always takes it upon themselves to add more. This is THEFT and FRAUD. The last time this happened, I called to speak to a manager and told them their server changed the tip amount. The manager was extremely rude to me and never refunded me like he said he would so I had to dispute. This time I'll be notifying my credit card company that theft and fraud are a pattern at DF. What a pleasant dining experience! The atmosphere is so relaxing, perfect place to go have top notch food and a delicious glass of wine- lighting, music, friendly waiters, beautiful interior, it just all works together to give you the perfect dining experience. We had the steak egg roll for starters, let me just say, this is a Must try!! I've had the lovely, tasty scallops with polenta for a main and my husband had their gigantic, super juicy prime rib. My party of 6 dined at the Cherry Creek location. We had a 7:30 pm reservation. Our food was served at 10:15 pm. The restaurant according to its own hours closes at 10:00 pm. Our server provided no explanation for the delay and promised a conversation with a manager that never transpired. Drinks were hard to come by. Water was even more elusive. We all have the consensus view that this was the worst service experience we've ever encountered. Adding insult to injury, no menu items were comped. No appetizers were provided as we languished. Ordered Chilean sea bass, couldn't be more disappointed. Such a thin cut & overly pan fried leaving very little meat to the cut. I often order the sea bass when eating out & its a fish that is thick with lots of white meat. My peace looked as if it had been sliced 3 times that's how thin it was. At my most recent visit, service was terribly slow, the food was poor and my bill was close to $300 for 3 people...DURING HAPPY HOUR! My steak was more like beef jerky, but could not get my waitress to help, due to being MIA for 20 minutes. Brick Chicken!!! Have this when you go ...wow! Locally farmed chicken awesomeness... The point of this amazing dish is to flatten the chicken while cooking for tenderness and crispiness-- they don't use an actual 'brick' but use a heavy cast iron skillet--- incredible! Comes with giant asparagus and recommend subbing the mashed potatoes for the charred broccolini for a healthier dish, and wow it's a lot of food! The roasted chicken jus tops it off perfectly. The worst service I've had in years. Ordered food which took over and hour to come out. Water glasses were empty for most of our time there. When the food did finally arrive we didn't have any silver ware. A friend ordered a drink in which she had to "cancel" as it never came. Once the manager came over to explain the late food because of tech difficulties he said he would comp on gals complete order, then sent out desserts to make it up. The full meal was not comped. Resonated with the manager right away. He looked sharp, in a white shirt and tie, and through the evening, he helped me out with little requests. Caitlin was our server, and, my, was she fast! The food was wonderful. The two men at our table had prime rib-eye. I had scallops and the other lady was salmon. Everyone shared because we were all marveling. We all loved the crispy Brussel spouts. For dessert: coconut cream pie; chocolate peanut butter cake; and I had the olive oil chocolate cake. We enjoyed the room we were in after the music was turned down (another gift of the manager). If we didn't live 90 minutes away, we'd be here once a week! I tried writing to corporate to remedy some of the terrible experience we had here during lunch, and no one ever responded, so here is my change from five starts to a one star review. We sat for lunch outside on the amazing rooftop. We were sat at a dirty table, during Covid. We told the hostess and she told us we could stand at the table until someone came to wipe it down. We literally stood for ten minutes, and no one approached us. There were maybe 4-5 other tables. The bathrooms were dirty, the tables were dirty and sticky, the floor had food and trash blowing around, and the service was excruciating slow. Like other reviews, they were not busy so I'm not sure why things were such a mess. The food came out incorrect and our drinks were never delivered, but we were charged for them. I have hosted a few happy hours here and this rooftop was my favorite happy hour spot, but with so many other options right now and so many other small restaurants begging for business, I would rather spend my money at a clean restaurant that values customer service. Less than impressive experience this evening at Del Frisco's. Wasn't feeling too hungry, so I ordered a Caesar Salad with Chicken. It came out underneath an inch of Parmesan. The chicken was cold and slimy. I asked the waitress if it might be possible to send it back and to have fresh, grilled chicken added to it. She said that was impossible and they couldn't do that as they only had full chickens and would have to charge me for the full meal (35 dollars). I opted out and asked her to take it away. They took it off the bill, but was disappointed. It's called "Del Frisco's Grille" and they couldn't even grill a chicken breast? Added to this, wasn't given an apology and the manager didn't come over to speak with us, which is strange for a place that's supposed to be as classy as this one. You can never have too many Steakhouses! Del Frisco's is a nice addition to Cherry Creek. The space is substantial, with the bar area separated from the main dining room. The bar is surrounded by overstuffed booths that have excellent views of the many TV's showing the day's football games (my Fantasy Football line up is rough this year). We opted to sit at the bar and enjoy the College football on TV. I started with a cocktail called The Morning After that had coconut water and coconut vodka - refreshing and delicious. The second cocktail was a Bloody Mary, the Bloody Mary mix is well seasoned with just a hint of spice, the blue cheese stuffed olive was quite tasty as well (I'll take 10 of these next time please). We shared the Deviled Eggs with chive truffle vinaigrette. The deviled eggs were stuffed generously with the yolk mixture and I loved the flavor, although I thought the truffle was a little heavy handed. I ordered the Grab a Pair lunch option for $12. I choose a Caesar Salad and the Spicy Pork Meatball Flatbread. The lunch combination was a great size and left me full but not overly so. I enjoyed the salad however the garlic in the dressing was overpowering and took away from the Caesar Salad. The Flatbread was very nice and would be a fun dish to share with a group. Service is good in the bar area; our bartender was friendly and was fun to chat with about all the happenings in Denver. The rooftop is amazing on a sunny day! You have to try the artichoke beignets - delish! I was worried they would be too fatty / greasy but they were pure perfection - def heavy though. Beware of the bar though - saw a waiter drop a lime in a beer and then fish it out with his hands! He actually had to try twice - and then served it to a customer! So gross! The Food was lackluster at best for sure! 2 Filet Mignon and 2 "POOR" steaks and for the price it was AWFUL! Overcooked on one and Cold on the other to start and then Overcooked as well. Wife had a salad for dinner and even that was awful (she said she could imagine this coming from a Denny's LOL). Hamburger dry and overcooked! Chopped Steak Sandwich Dry & overcooked. The appetizer of the Tuna Tacos was actually good but that's the only thing for sure. Highlight - Lemon Cake! This was 5 stars. Pretty shocking that a restaurant that has really good service at other locations and is this expensive isn't really worth going to anymore. We had an ok meal but for restaurant week I would have expected more and wish we would have gone to quality Italian instead. The waitress took a while to get to us and after being there for about a half hour, we finally got our drinks. Then we got our salads and waited another 10 minutes to get silverware. The steaks were great but we ended up paying $55 for a salad, filet, and mashed potatoes and didn't get our dessert because by the time the came back around we were freezing and wanted to leave. For a $200 meal it was nothing special. There are so many better places in Cherry Creek to dine that I just think time is up for DFs. I do think it's good for lunch but it's because the price is better and they know their audience and keep the service timely. I don't think I will be back regardless. read more

TUNA. TACOS. The best tuna taco I've ever had, and I would argue that the deviled eggs are the best around; they are served with a clear sauce that balances out the egg flavor simply delicious. We also included the truffle Mac and cheese (just enough truffle to nail the flavor but not too much as to overpower the dish), and the burrata salad which was nicely portioned with balsamic glazed cherry tomatoes. Salads to table 35 minutes after we ordered. Still waiting on entrees 70 minutes after we ordered. We asked what's taking so long and expressed our frustrations and the female (manager?) started making excuses and condescendingly noted it was Mother's Day. Any halfway decent manager would simply reply "You're right. That's a long time. I'll see what's going on." This location is run by rookie unprofessionals; a true embarrassment to the quality and standards of many other respectable establishments in the Cherry Creek North area. The full scale location in Greenwood Village would never allow this kind of circus act. After waiting an additional 10 minutes a member of my group approached the suited man up front to share our frustrations and said we're leaving. He shared some excuses as well so we left. "It's Mother's Day" and "the restaurant is pretty full" are not acceptable reasons for their poor service and timing. There are countless restaurants that have a wait out the door and food is run ON TIME to every table. If you can't accommodate a semi-full restaurant then you need to re-evaluate your process and expedite it. Or put a sign out front that alerts diners that the wait times are excessive. read more

My daughter and I came in last Sunday for our weekly mother/daughter date and this place was awesome! The place was spotless, the food was superb, and the service impeccable. Rachel was our server and we let her manager Lindsay know how much we loved the artichokes, the roasted brussle sprouts, salmon and chicken and the great service.
