Came here for Denver Restaurant Week on a Sunday night for my sister's birthday. I made reservations beforehand for a party of 10. There was no wait and we were seated immediately. For the appetizer, I had the artichoke beignets. I wasn't sure what to expect from the beignets, but they were delicious. The best part was the sweet basil dipping sauce. I did try some of the devil eggs. I thought it was good, but it was a bit tart for my palate. For the main entree, I had the salmon with Roasted asparagus and a citrus and herb vinaigrette. The salmon was cooked perfectly. I also tried some of the brick chicken and filet mignon. The brick chicken was delicious. It was tender and juicy. Unfortunately we were not impressed with the filet mignon since it was very salty. We also had the prime beef short rib stroganoff. I ended the night with the Nutella Bread Pudding. The coffee ice cream and caramel sauce paired well with the succulent nutella bread pudding. It melted in my mouth and was a great way to end the night. Although I loved the ambiance of the restaurant and the service was great, the reason I'm giving it three stars is because my siblings got sick after our dinner. Fortunately the food I had was fine and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but the party I was with had a different experience and a few of them got sick afterwards. read more

We've been to dinner here twice recently. The food is excellent, and the dining room is handsome. The menu has an excellent choice of steaks and other entrées, plus appealing appetizers and sides. (The sautéed mushrooms were delicious.) Their mixed drinks are also very good and generously poured, and they also have a good wine list. Service is very good -- our waiter Tristan was outstanding. This would be an excellent choice for a business lunch or dinner, as the several groups we saw there evidenced. (They also have a nice private dining room for groups.) Last day to take advantage of Restaurant Week I snagged a reservation at 5:45. Invited our fave couple. We were sat at the fun side of the restaurant. Right next to the bar. Yeah it's the better side if you are looking for a fun night. Want a subdued, sweet interlude? Request the other side. It's far away from the fun crowd as you can be. Anyways. Fun atmosphere and a waitress that was a bit clumsy made for a laughter filled dinner. Food was not bad at all. I mean my dish was really tasty. I had the following: VIP Martini Corn soup Cheesesteak egg rolls Filet Mignon with peppercorn sauce. The latter was done right by me. Peppercorn sauce is my favorite sauce if I ever use or needed one. This is it! The cheesesteak egg rolls was perfectly seasoned and that crunch. Oh my! Even the corn soup was very good. Restaurant week and curiosity brought me here. Knowing they have complimentary valet service, coming here sure is convenient. When I entered, the place was bustling with predators and cougars. Happy Hour here is apparently very popular. We had a reservation for four and we were seated in a booth near the central bar. Getting around was a feat in itself. Our waitress was very nice and managed to serve us with care even with the masses of people in her way. She was also very sweet and knowledgable. The restaurant week menu was full of great choices including starters and entrees. To start, I went with the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls that were crispy and full of grilled steak and melted cheese, garnished with sweet and spicy sauce. For my entree I selected the Meatloaf, which was tasty with a savory mushroom twist. I actually had to confirm that I had the correct dish. The meatloaf was sitting atop of mashed potatoes that were splendid, the mixed in potato skins was a nice touch with added texture. For dessert we had chocolate bread pudding and fudge brownie, which were okay. Overall it was a great experience, but next time I will ask to be seated on the restaurant side and won't dine duration happy hour. read more

Service was slow, which is completely fine by me, they were busy. What wasn't fine was that the waiter didn't care whatsoever, then he messed up our tab big time when all we want to do was get the heck out of there. We had a $100 gift card which he somehow lost between our table and the register, which was just a few feet away. I chased down the manager, he apologized profusely and took my phone number said he would call back and work it out, he never called me back. So basically we spent double the actual tab ( $107 for the food/bar tab and another $100 the gift card), so we are out $207 total. You would think they would try harder, given how hard restaurants are being affected by covid. We are never going back. read more

I had planned a get together with a group of people about year ago and read the 1 star reviews so changed venues and went somewhere else. Kinda forgot about it when we were right next door but when I did remember figured it had been a while. Came here after a huge day of adulting to celebrate which happened to be during happy hour. Roof top was closed, place was empty but 3-4 servers gathered at the bar drinking their Starbucks. No acknowledgement of our entry, sat down and waited. And waited, and waited..... After 10 minutes (they never acknowledged us and we were within eye shot) I got up and asked for a menu. The blonde rolled her eyes and the bartender said yes, we'll bring one out where are you? Really? We waited another 5 minutes and she brought a dinner menu. Another 5 minutes brought a happy menu and shortly there after water. I don't know, but seems common sense would dictate to just hand me a happy hour menu when I asked vs making me wait for not even a relevant menu but then wait even longer for the actual appropriate menu and then water. After about 30 minutes she came back and asked us if we wanted anything else. What? We hadn't even ordered! Meanwhile, apparently one of said waitresses friends had come in and they received water, drinks and food before we ever even got a chance to order a drink. Place was still completely empty otherwise. Meanwhile, the people working on their roof top bar area had taken all the parking directly in front of the restaurant and had temporary tags that were several months expired. They flipped a u-turn while FaceTiming and nearly caused an major accident. This place is a joke! Last thing I did was use the restroom prior to leaving. Wow! So disgusting. If you're bathroom is this gross in an empty restaurant with terrible service accompanied with a bad attitude I can only imagine how foul the kitchen is. Long time patron of Del Frisco's Double Eagle. Upon eating at the grille, I was absolutely appalled by the horrible customer service. Our waiter would not refill water without prompting, drinks took forever, and the waiter was exceptionally rude. After reporting the incident to the manager, Jacob, he was not remorseful whatsoever and did not offer an apology. Will not be returning for future business dinners. read more

So sad this place has gone down hill so quickly. I don't know when Landry's took over but go elsewhere would be my recommendation. I had the smallest, most bland Chicken Caesar salad and at a price of $20. I make a munch better one at home or could have gone to Panera for a much better tasting and bigger salad. My friends got the cheeseburger and they were happy with them. My other friend ordered the Short Rib stroganoff and it was so dry looking--he said the short rib meat was dry too. Oh well there are plenty of other delicious restaurants in Cherry Creek so I suspect this place won't be around in 2 years unless they do a 180. First time there. Me and a friend went on a Wednesday night and it was quite empty - mainly due to COVID restrictions which is appreciated. The server was very attentive and friendly, I wish I remembered her name - young, blonde with a ponytail. Food was very good, I am vegan and their Beyond Burger was really good - I wish they had vegan Mayo to go with it. I had and Old Fashion that was delicious and my friend had the truffled Mac and Cheese and a Moscow Mule and she like both as well. Food: Very good. Ordered the mushroom flatbread, steakhouse salad and Philly cheese steak egg rolls. Flatbread was amazing and the truffle really came through. Steakhouse salad, also excellent and horseradish dressing is delicious. Eggs rolls were good, greasy as expected, but solid. Drinks: Had the VIP and smoke and mirrors. VIP is highly recommended and delicious. Smoke and mirrors was very good too but I love mezcal Service: Great. Gave us a selection of seating on the roof or downstairs since the sun was blazing. Del Frisco's isn't even open because of COVID-19 however you can DoorDash an order. I placed my order through the app and the Dasher called to let me know that the restaurant had not received my order, WHICH IS TOTALLY OKAY, technology isn't perfect. My dasher was just trying to be considerate and asked for the manager. Let me tell you something, I have no idea who she is but she was THE MOST UNPLEASANT WOMAN TO SPEAK TO OVER THE PHONE. I told her multiple times that it was okay and that I was not upset, and she was talking to me as if I just screamed at her for 20 minutes. For being a manager, her social etiquette was horrible. This is for you whoever you are -- cut the attitude, everyone is having a hard time right now, no need to yell at the customers that are helping you as a business. I won't be ordering again. I'm seeing a disturbing pattern here in Suburban Cherry Creek mall area of Denver. The swanky places we like seem to be brew pubs with pub grub. Del appears to be elevated pub food with beer cocktails and extensive wine selection. Aka same thing with a different spin. There are 5 others within blocks offering similar faire with not very distinct flair. Here, they appear to be catering to the JWMarriott crowd in for business lunches and dinners. Aka similar food hopefully better quality and service at a premium price. If they have a hook or theme it was lost on me! The food was pedestrian faire no biggie blow my mind slap my mother kind of stuff. Tacos were solid, truffle Mac and cheese was alright, and the ahi over noodles was fine. The best thing I can say was our server Joe was solid and made the meal. He was perfect; like my analogy of a great ref in a prize fight, keep it clean and moving and let the main event be the star. Unfortunately with the main event being the food and that being ok, not Epic, we found ourselves focused more on him; our water glasses never empty, non indulgent queries about each entry being satisfactory, and the rhythm of the dinner orchestrated well by him and support team. All the while dealing with a very large group of fowl mouth business dudes next to us whose ranks seems to swell each minute as more comrades bellied up to the table of 10. Joe was equally adept at navigating the unruly hurd of 10+ as he was our party of 2. Stellar performance indeed worth some ink. He was like Tiger Woods in black pants white shirt and apron. Still hungry I ordered dessert hoping that my "ok" expensive ass dinner could be capped with cognac and some sugar to manufacture an epic finish. Out of Courvoisier VSOP, Joe recommended Hennessy with my lava cake. Liked the lave cake... loved the Hennessy! While I am not a huge fan of their food, although their bar appetizers aren't bad, their happy hour and bar ambience is hard to beat. I can say we come to their happy hour at least once or twice a week. The later you get there, the harder it is to find a seat, but it's worth trying to find one. They have numerous wines and some cocktails on their HH menu, along with some discounted appetizers. My personal favorites are the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the french onion dip. The dining room has a nice setting and there are a lot ot options, for the money and quelity I'd just rather dine elsewhere. read more

I'm not surprised at the low ratings on here. We dined at Del Frisco's Grille in Cherry Creek on a beautiful Saturday night at 6:00 PM. Despite the place being nearly empty, the service was extremely disappointing for a $200 meal. We waited an unbelievable 1.5 hours for two simple steak orders--an 8oz filet (medium) and a 10oz filet (medium-rare)--along with mashed potatoes and a tomato mozzarella salad. A manager came over after an hour, giving a lame excuse that the kitchen was backed up with just a few customers. When our food finally arrived, it was served by someone from the back of the kitchen wearing a stained shirt, clearly a last-minute call by our embarrassed server, who we didn't see again until the check came. No apology, no acknowledgment. The food was fine but definitely not worth the price or the service experience. The whole situation was baffling, especially since we weren't even in a full restaurant. Wouldn't recommend if you're expecting service to match the price. read more

This is such a shame just like Del Frisco's off of Orchard. Everything Landry buys and touches which "were"all quality restaurants, the quality of the meals for lack of a better term has gone to total shit. I've been fine dining for the last 30 years (world wide) from the time they bought Morton's (and many others) they destroyed everything they had done food wise, staff and ambience have gone from great to mediocre at best. The only reason I gave it two stars is out of memories of what these quality restaurants used to be. It's a shame that such a rollup is making so much money and destroying such quality restaurants throughout the United States. It's not worth going here or anything that has the Landry's stamp. Find somewhere else and go there. Tillman is brilliant and living off of his inheritance and turned it into $1 billion performance of nothing but McDonald's. read more

I made a reservation for a party of 10 about 1 1/2-2 weeks prior hoping to get a rooftop table. I was told on the phone that the rooftop was "first come first serve" only but would have a sidewalk table for us and also put in a request for the rooftop. She suggested getting there early so I could secure a table on the rooftop if I desired. I arrived early and after waiting for 5 mins (no host) I was met by Chris the General manager. I explained we would like to sit on the rooftop. He then told me there was a party of 50 that had a reservation that took up half the rooftop seating. I asked if I could go up and see what else was available. When on the rooftop, I asked the bartenders what seating was available (since the party of 50 was not there). They pointed an entire section that had no patrons. We decided on 3 separate tables side by side. I went to tell Chris to not set up the sidewalk tables since we decided to sit upstairs. To my surprise, he was very rude and defiant and said that the rest of the tables were reserved for other parties. I explained I called about 11/2 -2 weeks ago and was told it was "first come first serve" and that she would put in a request for rooftop. He said as I said before, they assign the rooftop the day of and don't go by who called first and they can't guarantee a rooftop table. Never once apologized and tried to make things right. I asked why can't you have 3 parties (that wasn't even there yet) sit at the 3 tables on the sidewalk. I also asked if we could sit on the rooftop until the party showed up and he said no they would be there in an hour! Really? Why do they advertise on their website as well as telling people it's "first come first serve" if they allow others to have a reservation on the rooftop. When we got the bill, we found out we were overcharged for our Happy hr drinks. Someone in our party confronted the manager as well as the server. He defended the server. When she said we will not be back to their restaurant again his reply was "we don't want your business." Our party all work in the hospitality/service industry for over 40 yrs. I have never been treated so badly and rudely. Never a word of apology or sincerity. Chris should not be a General Manager if he treats his patrons so poorly. Such a great brunch with the girls today. We sat in a separated area by the kitchen and it was great for getting together for great food and conversation. Everyone enjoyed the flat breads as an appetizer, I did not try the roasted tomato, but the wild mushroom was phenomenal. I did get the crab Benedict with a spicy lobster sauce which was tasty, the eggs should be poached in a Benedict and these came out soft boiled instead (not a big deal, but meh), loved the crab and the lobster sauce was really tasty, but not a big fan of it being on focaccia, since it seemed to much bread for me (maybe it was because I already had the yummy flat bread as an app, so maybe my bad). The desserts were fab and I highly recommend the Coconut Cream Pie....it is a sharing dessert for sure. We also shared the Nutella Bread Pudding Dessert (drool over those pictures Baby!). The staff was very attentive and accomodating since my Mom has issues with her dish and they let her replace with a new item with no charge for either and for my birthday they didn't give us just one dessert comped to share we had the two. Located in heart of Cherry Creek North that offers valet and also plenty of street metered parking available. The restaurant has two different segments, the bar and the dining room. Staff are very professional and knowledgeable about cocktails wines and food. We ordered the Stroganoff and The Prime Rib Sandwich. The food presentation was marvelous and waiting time was very long. As good as the stroganoff was, but the prime rib was extremely under-cocked and hard to swallow. Needless to say that the taste of it was wonderful. Wine list is solid. Bottles from $$ to $$$$ which most of them worth every penny. One thing I enjoyed was the fact that our waitress could help us pair wines with our food which indeed she was right. I love love love Del's. In fact it's our favorite place to eat. I can not say the same with Del Frisco's grill. Maybe it was an off day but our experience was terrible. Let me back up, the food was great and the hostess was lovely. We sat at the bar rather then sitting in the dining room. Maybe that was the big mistake. They had two bartenders who tried to serve the bar top, tables in bar and make drinks for the restaurant. They rarely even made eye contact with us. A few times I decided to go to the service bar where servers were getting drinks just so I could ask for another glass of wine/refill on an ice tea/salt & pepper/bill. Not the type of service we are used to at Del's. So my opinion is if you want customer service go enjoy Del Frescos, the one in Greenwood Village/Denver. Skip the grill in Cherry Creek. You might as well be at Red Robin when it comes to service. Actually maybe that would be better. *** It's been 15 minutes and still no one have come to get our credit card or even make eye contact with us. It's a shame because we would have been regulars. Friends and I went for lunch, excited from our past experience having had their awesome shaved steak sandwich excited for the lunch items we were used to. We arrive to find out they changed the menu entirely. It's now comprised of expensive steaks and main entrées that seem to be what you would find at the regular Del Friscos. The whole reason you opened this location as a "grille" was for a more affordable option with burgers and other sandwiches, you are anything but now. I came here for dinner with co-workers, and even though there aren't a ton of vegetarian options on the menu, I still really enjoyed my dinner. I wish I could've tried the cheesesteak eggrolls, as they smelled absolutely divine. But whether or not you're a vegetarian, you have to try the artichoke beignets. Even if you're not usually a fan of artichokes, trust me, when they're inside a fried pastry and drizzled with sweet basil dressing, they will change your life. I would come here just for the artichoke beignets. Unfortunately, my entree was a bit of a let-down. I got the cauliflower steak because it seemed more exciting than the Beyond Burger. I'd never had cauliflower steak, and was disappointed to find out that, at least at Del Frisco's, it's just cauliflower. It was just a big hunk of cauliflower, that just tasted like cauliflower. They didn't season it in any special way or put any delicious sauce on it. The sweet potato frites were good though. I hope this dish is replaced by a portobello mushroom steak or an eggplant steak, or even a nice pasta dish. A lot of vegetables are great at pretending to be meat, but an unseasoned hunk of cauliflower ain't it. Next time I come here, I'll happily cobble an entree together out of a bunch of side dishes, which is actually the best way for a vegetarian to enjoy a steakhouse. For dessert, I had the caramel pot de creme, which was a salted caramel creme brulee. It was so smooth and lovely. Even though my entree didn't wow me, everything else did. Come here and you will be greeted by the male managers who will hit on you or their female manager who will talk to you like you are a child! The female manager is clearly so classy to come into the restaurant and have one of the servers pour the bottle into her mouth as it gets all over her! Man, what a view. Del Frisco's used to be my favorite steakhouse, from Philly days years ago and it was in competition with Butcher and Singer, Barclay Prime, and the Capital Grill. Had a good experience at the Del Frisco's steakhouse in Denver Tech Center, however, I was disappointed with the food at the Cherry Creek Del Frisco's Grille (and learned it's distinct from the Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse--who knew? but maybe that's why?). We had a work dinner there, and the service and the wine were great, but the food was just okay. The steak (bone-in filet mignon) was correctly cooked (medium rare), but was not delicious. Not sure why, I'm not a serious steak connoisseur, but I can distinguish really delicious steak from mediocre. The sides were hit and miss. Tasty brussel sprouts, roasted mushrooms with garlic were pretty good. However, asparagus side consisted of a paltry 7 stems or so, frites were slightly soft, and mashed potatoes were just okay. We tried two desserts, I'd say they were both very one dimensional. Not worth the calories. The pot de crème was a smaller/typical sized dessert, the coconut cream pie was HUGE. But really neither tasted delicious. And because dessert's about a bit of self-indulgence, I expect it to be really yummy. I'd rather it be small and delectable than large and blah.
