It sucks that these restaurants don't know how to make it known that they are hosting a private event so that potential patrons don't waste money on parking, only to get up to the restaurant and find out that it isn't open as advertised. I give Del Frisco's Grille Cherry Creek 3.5 Stars. Friday night was my 2nd visit since their recent opening. My 1st visit was the Friday Jan 29. I had a reservation for 3. We arrived 20 min early so we we checked in at the host stand and then waited patiently in the bar area for our table. Ordered a couple drinks and stood around chatting. 20m later we noticed that a booth in the bar opened and we grabbed it since the bar area is open seating. Not too long after sitting down, I realized that I received a text that our table was ready. Wait...what!? The ladies at the stand NEVER mentioned that we'd get a text that our table was ready. I would have taken my phone out of my purse had I known this. Secondly, when our table was ready and no one came to check in for our party, why didn't one of the 4 of you at the hostess stand come get us? After taking a seat in the booth, we waited for quite a while before being greeted, I'd say about 15min. When our server finally arrived, she didn't have a pen and seemed very flustered. She went to grab a pen and proceeded to take our order. I ordered the Prime Rib sandwich and my friends both ordered the roasted chicken. A-OK! Feb 5 was my 2nd visit for dinner with the girls. Food was great. Amanda our server was awesome and very attentive. The only critique I have is that when I ordered the lamb burger Medium-Plus, Amanda didn't give me a heads-up that the patty is pretty thin. So a Medium-Plus temperature would over cook it. It came out like a hockey puck. I truly expected a much thicker patty. Amanda graciously had it redone at Medium and it was perfect! For desert we shared the lemon cake. It was just OK and disappointingly dry. Six ladies didn't finish half of it. One of my friend's had the filet mignon which was delish! I'll go back for that or the Prime Rib. Enjoy! read more

This place was, you know, nice. Average. We arrived toward the end of the evening but they were still on their game. The atmosphere and decor are lovely, sort of swiss chalet meets architectural digest. (Loved the light fixtures). They have a decent drink and wine list. The food was good, nothing to scream about, but it wasn't anything to complain about either. The truffle mac and cheese was delicious. They also had delicious deviled eggs. We wanted to get a second order of them, but the waiter never came back and then our entrees came out, so that was a bust. The place was a little loud, even for so late in the evening. Hubs and I couldn't really hear ourselves talk over the music. I normally wouldn't have cared too much but it was our wedding anniversary and I wanted us to have a lovely meal with nice conversation. The portions of the food were kind of on the small side. My husband had the coffee (dry rub, I think?) pork shank. It was good, but again, nothing to write home about. He said it was sort of flavorless, but the pork was cooked well. The servers seemed friendly enough like they enjoy what they do, so that's always a plus. Makes the experience a bit better. We were just visitors of Colorado, so likely, we won't be back, but we wouldn't recommend this place very highly either for a "romantic" evening or maybe even dinner at all. We are here for first full lunch service. Solid spot for sure. Let's be honest, they have clearly done their research of the other restaurants around and cherry picked some of the top sellers from each of them. With that said, they have done well. Most items compare that we have tried. Some items are even better. With time this place will be a heavy weight in the Cherry Creek food scene. The decor is very Colorado rustic. Lots of woods, leather, and a touch of metal through out. This will definitely be a be seen spot for the next few months but still worth it in my opinion. People is nice and friendly here. Giving only 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn't get the correct side with my order. I ordered sweet potatoes fries instead of French fries. But today is one of those days I didn't want to deal with anything so I left it there. The fillet was ok, nothing extraordinary. What I enjoyed the most was a virgin pineapple mojito. Coconut cream pie for dessert was good too, if I knew it was that big I would have asked my friend to share the dessert. I only had half of it and it was too much. What a disappointing dining experience. The food was good, but the service was lackluster. It was a Sunday evening at 6pm, with only a few tables in the bar area. Our Salad arrived at the same time as our steaks and the food delivery person stated they would take the salad off of our bill; thank you but it would have been better to have the salad before the entrees. Our water glasses are now empty and we would love to get another round of drinks but we couldn't get our servers attention. Do they have dessert? Del Frisco DTC has been my favorite restaurant since 2004. So having my 40th birthday at Del Frisco grille seemed like simple choice. Our reservation was booked 2 months in advance for the private room. Which you think would have a decided staff for the event. No Nothing was on time. Apps upon arrival came hour late, drinks and food all late. Even the cake at the end which we brought, came out 45min late. This all happened in August, and we are still waiting for a response with some form of refund or compensation. Never again going there for me. read more

I love the double cheeseburger here, and usually get that over anything else. I think I've only tried one other item on the menu which was the wedge salad haha. This is one of my go to burger places and it most closely satisfies my in-n-out burger cravings, and is even way better than that. Even protein style with lettuce wrap is great. They use fresh, super crispy iceberg lettuce which is the key to protein style. The sweet potato fries are amazing and I love how they give you your own mini squeeze bottle of ketchup. No worries for the germophobes out there! But seriously I'm not OCD about that stuff at all, but it's so nice knowing you have a super clean single use bottle of ketchup. And of course desserts here are phenomenal. I love the lemon cake and the caramel budino which is a new item. I would be remiss if I failed to mention the excellent service. While Del Frisco's is open and offers dine in seating you must walk in with a mask and you can take it off at the table. This makes zero sense. I can sit at the table - walk to the bathroom- and still carry the same germs, BUT as long as I have a mask on when I enter it's all good. This limitation of service is NOT on their website and we were turned away last night , as a result. I'll never go there nor recommend this restaurant to anyone. It will be the opposite. Tried Del Friscos grille for a date night and I was quite disappointed at everything, from interior to food. It was late night so the place was not busy but yet took a little more then expected to get the order going (about 30 minutes). We got filet mignon with asparagus and ribeye with mash potatoes with Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy with. Both steaks had way to much seasoning and tasted nothing like a good steak, asparagus was soggy. Steaks where so salty we could not finish them. I will not complain about the wine, since we didn't know what we are getting and we got what we got, but it was not good either. Dinner for two was $300 bill and the quality of food and service was not nearly close to be in that range. This was our first and last visit to this location, as is not worth the money. Struggle with parking and Construction that is happening this spring of 2018, so definitely no go for me. read more

Visited this location for Mother's Day and was a bit of a disappointment. We checked out the online menu for this particular location to make sure our Mom was able to eat anything at this restaurant. When we sat down we were given the Mother's Day menu which was very limited. When asked the server whether or not they, she replied with, no and was pretty sure that that item was never offered at that location. If this is the case, they should probably remove it from their online menu. Also, for a high end restaurant, the seating was less than desired. We were sat in a high traffic area and I had to keep pulling in my seat every time someone walked by (which was quite often). As for the food, I ordered the rib eye medium rare with a side of truffle mac & cheese. It was good but for a meal that's ~$75, I expected more. Save your money and go to Salt Grass. Their steaks are probably on the same level and their mac & cheese is better! read more

Came to the new Del Frisco's on a Sunday night for a work party. We were seated in a cozy room next to the kitchen, which I personally enjoyed watching all of the antics in the back of house. Our server was a little lack luster from the beginning, disappearing for periods of time and then not understanding orders of drinks later. Meh, minus 1 star. I started off with the corn bisque, yum! Very rich, but I could have eaten a whole pot of that. For my entree I decided on the pork chop which was HUGE. Delicious and tasty, no complaints there. Overall experience was just ok, I feel like our server just really didn't care to be there or was attentive enough considering that half of the restaurant was empty. I'd probably be back fro happy hour to check the bar and menu out. read more

I was so looking forward to trying out the new dels! I have read and heard mixed reviews, but was still excited to give it a try! The decor and design is amazing- it's modern, but also welcoming and extremely well put together with the colors and overall layout. The lighting is great, and the tables and booths look very nice. Now on to the not so good stuff- it took the staff almost 10 minutes to get a table ready for us when there were literally 2 guests in the restaurant and about 10 staff? Once we were seated the service was quite slow- 15 minutes to get a Bloody Mary and another 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee- again, it wasn't busy. The food, once it arrived was delicious, which is why I give it 3 stars- the Benedicts, French toast and chicken and waffles were fabulous. We will be back and I hope I can up my review the next time- I really want to like this place, but you've gotta work on service- read more

I tried the French toast from my friend and even that was the perfect balance and not to overpowering on the sweet side. I pre ordered on Friday for pick up at 6pm. I prepaid and I even put a 20% tip even though this was a take out order. I told them my husband Mike would pick it up. Fast forward to 6pm. My husband arrived to pick up. A very unpleasant woman working at Del Frisco's said they didn't have our order. My husband calls me and I tell him our full order. He tries to tell the Del Frisco's woman what our order was, but the woman immediately dismissed what he told her saying "everybody orders that" and stood by that they did not have our order. He showed them the phone number I called for the order - she said that was not their number. He called the number right there and it was?? We checked our bank account and saw that the dinner was charged as I had prepaid. She was being so incredibly rude to him -- completely unnecessarily, she did not check the orders for ours and would not accept that they had received our order?? The customer service skills of this woman were no where to be found. My husband gave up and came home. We made grilled cheeses. He called them back later and asked for our money back as we did not get any food and were still charged! At that point the rude woman said that they had found an order for "Michael" that appeared to be ours. I absolutely did not tell the man I placed the order with that my husband's name was Michael. I have never called him that name in my life! So it was a name mix up. A mix up that the woman had the nerve to ask my husband why HE didn't put two and two together?? I'm sorry, so this is our fault? The customer's fault? He's supposed to know what orders they have and what names are on all the orders? He's supposed to know that they wrote the wrong name? Really? All we wanted was our order that we prepaid for and mix ups happen but the way Del Frisco's handled it was totally uncalled for and plain rude. This happened last Friday and we still have not been refunded our money. I now have to call them again and explain this whole irritation situation to request our money back. If you want to be treated with respect as a customer, do not go to Del Friscos in cherry Creek. I have been to the Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse down in Cenntennial, so I of course was curious what this concept would be like and what the steaks would taste like. Well guess what? The steaks were just as good as I remembered. I got a 45 day dry aged NY Strip with that Baby Zucchini on it. The steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the Zucchini was the perfect balance to it. I also got some Deviled Eggs as an appetizer, and if you like deviled eggs you will like these. I think they put some relish in it, but still good. For dessert, I also had a Molten Chocolate Cake. Very moist and chocolatey, but no lava? What gives? Still tasty though. Some other thoughts, they do have kids meals (I brought my 3 and 1 year old) and high chairs. For the kids meal, they do buttered noodles, mac and cheese, a hamburger, or chicken fingers. My kids opted for Chicken Fingers with Sweet Potato fries. I tried some of the chicken and it was breaded nicely on the outside but nice and juicy on the inside, not all dried out. They were served with ketchup and honey mustard. I definitely recommend this place. Its definitley nice on the inside but has more of a modern feel and has some good steaks, salads, entrees. They didn't have any of the tableside steaks like a Tomahawk or anything like that; gotta go down to Cenntennial if you want that kind of experience or want something a little more upscale. read more

The first thing you need to understand this place is nothing like the Greenwood Village location. We had gone for any early valentines dinner. As soon as we arrived we were seated to the loudest, most obnoxious group in the restaurant. I looked across the table and said we're not staying. We ordered a drink and an appetizer. The drinks were fine and the appetizer was ok. My girlfriend explained to the waitress why we weren't staying and she said she understood and that's where it really went down hill. The waitress simply brought us our bill and walked away. She didn't ask if we wanted anything else, if the appetizer was good, nothing. She dropped the check and walked away. I laid my card on the table after we had finished and she ran to the table to cash us out and again did not ask if we needed anything else. In fact, she only asked after she had cashed us out. My girlfriend asked her what we could want since she hadn't asked until we had settled the bill. The waitress responded with, "I don't know. Maybe some waters to go." Needless to say, he tip was minimal and we left to go to another place for our valentines dinner. My opinion, don't waste your time here. We've been to the Greenwood Village location a few times and it's so much better with a great. Update: One of the managers contact me to offer a gift certificate to try the restaurant again. Fries hard from sitting around under heat lamps too long. Took 20 min to get food !! The MANAGER is rude. Has those coked up eyes and looks like a used car lot salesman. We very politely and with fairness explained the music was too loud and harsh rock playlist and the speakers are blown so it has a painful pitch on the rock songs with harsh guitar and drums.. anyway he said the song before this one was .( I don't remember the artist) but that it was vocals and not hard rock . Yes but all the songs have been. It was like eating at a cheap sports bar.. I asked the girl behind the bar why her ears don't bleed.. she said she just gets used to it... the manger needs to go back managing Chilies, you are out of your league here. We were almost finished with appetizers by the time the drinks arrived. We tried the wedge salad, it was so big. Shrimp cocktail was terrific, with large juicy shrimp. We both opted for the Rib eye medium rare. It was served rare with a cold blue center. By the time the server came back we decided it wasn't worth it to say anything. We also ordered mashed potatoes and truffle Mac n cheese. The sides were so delicious. The steaks were not great. They were cooked wrong and the flavor just wasn't there. We ordered a second round of drinks that took another 20 minutes. The server dropped the check, we had to ask if we could see a dessert menu. I would try this place again. We ordered strawberry MOMosas (mothers day brunch drink special) that had no strawberries in them or as a garnish. The ones going to other tables did, and had an actual pink/red tint to them, which ours were missing. Those went back as well. My mom's lobster was chewy and way over salted but since she's been a mom for the last 30 years, she just ate it. The waffle that came with my dad's chicken and waffles was almost too hard to cut through. Both of my brothers got steaks which were ok, but not great. I got the Asian tuna salad which was mediocre at best. A table across from us was served 2 incorrect dishes that also went back. And while I was walking back to my car, I saw the table that was seated to our left sitting on the patio of another restaurant ordering a second meal. So it seems like every body else was having a similarly underwhelming -but still expensive- experience. My dad also shared the story of his first time here with my mom and a few other couples. They reserved the private room, had glass break on their table, were moved out to the main dining room without an apology or any attempt to make up for all the broken glass and losing the private room or disruption to their evening. (Like seriously, not even a "sorry you almost ate and got cut by glass" brownie?!) Not worth the price. You can imagine it was absolutely impossible to get another reservation anywhere in town on the day of New Years Eve. On Saturday October 30th my wife and I went to Del Frisco's Grille for lunch and the waitress (Anna) suggested we have the steak salad. we both ordered it and the meat was so tough my wife could not even chew hers. my wife eat the greens but could not chew the steak. I called Anna over and showed her the steak still on my wife's plate explained it was too tough to even eat. she responded "SORRY" I'll get your check. After leaving the restaurant I sent an email to the email listed on their website an as of today, Thursday, have not heard a word. We had every reason to believe we'd have a premier dining experience: name-brand restaurant in the center of Denver's highest-end retail and residential area. We chose Del Frisco's/Cherry Creek because they were able to accommodate our request for a table for 8 outdoors. We had a group of friends joining us, one couple of which lives about an hour south, so timing for dinner was important so they could get home before it was too late on a week night. When we arrived, it was obvious there was no table 'reserved' for our party, but we were able to get an outdoor location after all, so no real complaint there, except that I'd asked for rooftop, and we were seated at a table on the sidewalk of a busy street. We had received all kinds of instructions on dress code and other restrictive information before coming in to dine, and I'd actually been concerned there would be a certain stuffiness to the place. We were glad it wasn't stuffy at all, but were a little dismayed by the sports-bar persona of the greeters and servers. Lots of 'you guys' this and 'you guys' that. But, we are a fairly casual group, so even though that was surprising, it wasn't all that troublesome. After we were seated, we waited a full 30 minutes before someone came to take a drink order, and that happened only after I went to the hostess stand to complain. Drinks ordered, we waited another 25 minutes for them to arrive. The server began to walk away after delivering drinks, and we said HOLD ON, let's get our dinners ordered, and oh by the way, one of us did not even receive his drink with the rest of us. Another 15 minutes passed and he returned with my husband's wine, then took our orders for food. He began to walk away again when we asked for additional drinks. About 20 minutes later, second drinks arrived. Then, it was over an hour before our food arrived. We were all ready to just get up and leave when we saw food being delivered , and it was coming toward our table, where several meals were placed before us, none of them what WE had ordered. Oops, they said, and swooped them away to the correct table. At this point, I think we had all lost track of time, but in short, our dinners arrived over two hours after we'd been seated. We asked several times to speak to the manager. Finally, he came to the table. None of us was rude or irate, but we made our point that all of this was totally unacceptable and completely unbelievable. He was extremely defensive - - no apologies, no offer of any compensation for the nightmarish experience. When pressed, he said he would comp our first round of drinks, and would anyone like dessert?? (We all wondered how long it would take to get dessert!!) One in our party said she would never dine there again, to which he said "I am sorry and sorry for you." Anyway, quite a while later, our bills arrived - - one couple had been charged for FOUR drinks they had not ordered!! And none of us had been comped for the first round. So, back to the register to calculate the correct amount for everyone. FINALLY, about THREE hours after we'd been seated, the experience was complete. The food we DID receive was tasty, but by the time we received it, we were all pretty worn out from the waiting and waiting. As we were served, the greeters and several servers went off-duty and were headed home for the night! We all understand that restaurants have been strapped during the Covid crisis, but honestly, Del Frisco's was not that busy , and there seemed to be plenty of servers , some just standing around inside the restaurant. The manager said that they'd opened their rooftop patio ( which I HAD requested when I made my reservations a week ago and where we were NOT seated), and that the crowd was larger than anticipated. I guess I'd suggest not to make more reservations than you can handle in your kitchen - - go ahead and fill the place once the kitchen and staffing requirements are filled. We all agreed it was a bonding experience - - our collective frustrations with the experience will be the stuff of funny stories in the future , at Del Frisco's expense. Upon leaving ( finally) we asked a couple of other diners how their experience had been - - everyone just shook his head and said." Wow, never again." The roof top is awesome at Del Frisco's Grille but the service was snail speed, slow. Literally took 30 minutes for water and a menu. Once we ordered our adult beverages, took another 30 minutes, ordered 3 salads and deviled eggs - took over 30 minutes. The waitress forgot to place our order of the deviled eggs which we didn't get till after we finished our salads. Maybe it was an 'off' day - will come back but not anytime soon. :( read more

Easter, 2017. We had a large party, were seated quickly and the waitress was great. The problem - we waited approximately 75 minutes for our food once the order was taken. At 1 hour we went and spoke with the manager, they finally offered some bread and apologized for the absurdly long wait. Not only was the food slow in coming - when it arrived we had to return 4 plates. The crabcake benedict was served with hard-boiled eggs and most plates were cold and seemed like they had been sitting in the kitchen for 20 minutes. At that point we were on a time crunch so some didn't even bother sending the food back as we didn't want to wait another 45 minutes in hopes for something better. The manager apologized and unbeknownst to us, sent out some free dessert - which while the thought was appreciated - none of us wanted and most of it went to waste (wish they would have offered it before assuming we wanted it). I get that Easter morning can be busy - but no busier than a weekend evening. Not sure if it was a staffing issue, an incompetent kitchen or a combination of the two. But we will certainly not return and I wouldn't recommend this place for larger groups. Again, waitstaff was great, but everything else was lacking. read more
