What a hidden little gem! It was a cold January night when I stumbled across Del Sur Artisan Eats. The area it's located is so charming and beautiful. As I walked up to the front door, I was immediately acknowledged and greeted by an employee. I was seated immediately. The ambiance was very cozy, small, family oriented. Charming is the word I would keep using. My server was on it. Got me some sparkling water and took my order immediately. Then menu had so many good options. I learned the homemade soup was fresh butternut squash and knew I had to have a bowl. But I struggled because I also wanted the Caprese Salad with prosciutto. The server recommended I get the half salad. One thing I was not happy about, they still charged me for the full salad. The soup was amazing and the Caprese salad delicious. Then my main meal was the Penne Pasta dish with sausage and olives. It was sooooooo good. I ended my meal with a Coffee Crème Brûlée. Perfect finish to an amazing dinner experience. You will not go wrong. Now keep in mind, it was January and mid week. So I assume on weekends it's busy. So plan accordingly. read more

Loved this restaurant which is a hybrid Argentinian and Italian. They are well known for steaks. This is our second time at Del Sur and it never disappoints. I had the skirt steak with the Parmesan risotto and my husband thoroughly enjoyed the rib eye. The staff at this place are so accommodating, it's definitely worth a visit! I have dined here a few times over the last few years. In my opinion, the food is overpriced. However, my main reason for not patronizing this establishment is what they did in April 2025. Del Sur hosted an Israeli wine and food pairing special event, seemingly oblivious to Israel's ongoing genocide. While Del Sur embraced Israeli cuisine, Israel was and continues to starve 2 million people in Gaza, having cut off all food, water, fuel, medicine, and humanitarian aid. When I raised the issue of the inappropriateness of this event, the owners responded on Facebook that rather than being political, it is a way to bring people together. Of the 193 countries -- Palestine would be 194 -- in the world whose food they could have highlighted, they chose the one starving 2 million people. read more

In town visiting relatives on our way back north and they picked out this spot for dinner. Glad we had a reservation because the place was busy on a Sunday night. Actually the toughest part was finding somewhere to park. The service was attentive and got us our drinks quickly. We started with a sampler of three empanadas - beef, shrimp and squash. All three were very tasty though my fave was the beef. For my main I got the grilled shrimp over butternut squash risotto which was very good. My wife got the grilled salmon and she liked it a lot. Del Sur has been killing it lately. We are locals and started going here about 5 years ago, then took a break and just recently started going back. The menu is really great, no matter if I'm in the mood for a steak with chimichurri, pasta, or seafood, everything is so good. Highly recommend the Short Rib Risotto for a first timer, or the Skirt Steak with Arugula Salad if you're watching carbs. Lamb Empanada with the red chimichurri sauce is a great appetizer, as is the Burrata Trio. If you're wanting some shrimp, I had the Shrimp Risotto last week (has crumbled bacon, too) and the sauce/broth it was served in was heavenly. I haven't had the $49 Beef Rib featured on Triple D yet, but sometime I'm going to splurge and go for it! read more

The food was pretty good and the location can't be beat. They have comfy benches in a cozy little nook area for smaller parties. I have to knock off a star because of the service, however. We had a very sweet waitress named Emily, but she was more concerned with talking to the table next to us after they arrived because one of the patrons knows someone at TSA, and that's where she apparently wants to work after she finishes college. Oh, and how much she wants to leave Georgia. I wish I was kidding. But no, we had to wait ten minutes for her to finish talking to them before she took our orders. The table that she was so busy talking to arrived after us, yet got their food before us because of her ignoring us. Same with another table that came even later than that. Our food was the last to be served in our area even though we were the first ones there. It's not just because we ordered risottos. I made a point to show my frustration when I knew she was looking in my direction by throwing my hands up in the air after the fifth plate of food came by for people who came well after we did. She ran over after we finally got ours and was like "oh it took a while because that was three tables back to back". No dear. We ALL saw you kissing up to the table next to us multiple times during the night. Don't try and make excuses. The couple next to us pointed it out also. Sweet waitress overall, but there's a time and a place to go career hunting, and it's probably not at your current job. As a side note, the table she spent so much time kissing up to didn't even give her 20%. Often the way, isn't it? We still gave her an undeserved 18% tip as it's the holidays, but at any other time of year she would've been very lucky to get 10%. She would've gotten 25 to 30% from us had she properly paid attention to us instead of trying to make up for it after the other table (who again, got there later than we did) left. I think they were actually a bit annoyed with her constantly coming over and bugging them. Hopefully she learns a lesson about tact and thoughtfulness from this review. We won't be back next time we're in the area as we expect better service for the price we paid :/ read more

My first time patronizing Del Sur was in the midst of the Great Covid-19/Coronavirus pandemic lockdown of 2020. Consequently, I was unable to enjoy the full dining room experience, since they were forced to limit their offerings to curbside take out only due to state and federal mandates restricting public gatherings. I ordered the skirt steak with chimichuri sauce and asked to substitute salad in place of the usual steak fries (#keepingitketo), which the owner eagerly obliged. As an added bonus, he also had an assortment of wines available at a 50% discount. What an awesome gesture during the current hardship! I was delighted to add a bottle of 2016 Proemio Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon to my order. How was the meal? Absolutely delicious! The steak was expertly prepared to my medium-rare expectations; it could not have been more perfect. The salad portion was a bit skimpy, but this is easily forgivable. Who gives a f%#^* if the salad is small when the steak is both generously proportioned and perfectly executed, especially during a national pandemic panic?!? Also, the wine was the perfect accompaniment for this delightful cut of beef. Hats off to Del Sur! The place we stayed at for our vaca recommends this place. They said Del Sur was their favorite restaurant for dinner. We agreed after our meal. Everything we ordered was delectable, and we even loved it so much that we ordered more food the next night to eat with our leftovers. We appreciated the cuisine combo of Argentina and Italy. I've never seen it before. We really took advantage of it and mixed the two cuisines all night. There were five of us, and we started our meal with a bottle of Argentina Malbec, and one friend got a glass of Josh Chardonnay. For our appetizers, we ordered the shrimp empanadas, Argentina sausage, provolenta, cheese in oil with sauce, tomatoes and onions, and a side of linguini with pesto sauce. We added the pasta after I asked our very kind server about the sauce options for the side of linguini. We are every little bite of our apps and barely had room for our main courses, but it was all so good we still are some of them. Everyone loved their meal but took the food home and knew we would enjoy it just as much the next day. One of the girls chose the skirt steak with a side of Bolognese, which was the least favorite of the pasta from the evening. The vegetarian in our group ordered the butternut squash ravioli with butter sage sauce. One friend devoured the spare ribs with mushroom risotto. My other friend decided upon the chicken marsala. I ordered, in my opinion, the best meal of the evening, which was the grilled Mahi Mahi with a side of linguini in Alfredo sauce. Everyone loved it so much that the next day we ordered two Caesar salads and three sides of the linguini with Alfredo sauce to go with our other levels. Since we were so full, we ordered our desserts to go. They had creme brulee, and that is three of our favorites desserts. Second time dining here and impeccable service, amazing food. We are from North Ga. And both times coming here (last October - 2023 and today August 2024, we have been lucky enough to have gotten Chad as our server. Neither time asking for him Judy blessed to have gotten him both. My husband and I both discussed that he must have gone to a professional server school because I've never experienced such service. So attentive without being over bearing. Okay let's talk food.... Delish! Tonight we had the Trio of Barratta. Very delish! And for dinner I had the Pear and Gorgonzola Sacchetti - OMG! Such a treat. rich, yet sweet but a delight on the tastebuds. Came last night with 2 other families. Lovely restaurant situated in a quaint & lively town with multiple restaurants walking distance. Restaurant itself is cozy with a side corner seating our party of 10. Laced with shelves of various wine bottles on the wall. The host and wait staff were great and did the best. The problem we ran into here was that most of the food wasn't great and didn't match the cost associated. The dishes were prepared correctly, they just could have been better and lacked reason as to why they weren't. Provolone app: made no sense and was hard to cut. This could have been much better with a higher quality picante prov. Beef empanada: this was solid but didn't blow us away Mahi-mahi: best thing we ordered but put over a potato mash that was pedestrian at best. It could have elevated this dish Parpadelle: past very good, bolognese sauce was way too sweet. Definitely not Italian. Shrimp butternut squash risotto: prob the most disappointing dish. For $27 you get 5 small shrimp, almost no butternut squash, very little bacon. This dish left me feeling ripped off. We were going to order dessert but girl next to us got the crème brûlée and said it wasn't very good. An overall disappointing experience not because of service but the high cost underwhelming cuisine. read more

We really enjoyed this place. We had reservations for 7 and it was really a great experience. We had a picky group of eaters from age 10 to 48 and there was something to make everyone happy. Great menu and great food. It is centrally located on the corner in the village. The ambience and atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. I had the Pancetta wrapped Scallops and Risotto and it was fantastic! Another favorite at our table was the marinated skirt steak but they were inconsistent. My son's was thin and long and my daughter's was short and thick. Very different but probably the same weight. I will return here. read more

This was our first time in Saint Simons Island which is really beautiful. So I am definitely a ribeye steak connoisseur and I ordered it at this restaurant, yet was pretty disappointed. The flavor was great but the steak was very chewy. I reluctantly had to send it back for something else. I recommend the chicken marsala or the pumpkin ravioli. I would definitely return to this restaurant. The service was great but I would have to pass on the steaks as the waitress mentioned that even the skirt steak is also chewy. I hope my review helps. Found this place by chance just walking around and decided to stop and eat. The place is not very big so I would recommend reservations. That said, they were able to sit us outside. The waiter made a few recommendations that we ordered and loved. The Lamb empanadas were tasty and the braised short rib over risotto was on point and plentiful. The food was not good - no one in our group was pleased and we aren't picky eaters.
