A couple of times on two separate occasions, the employee accidentally cut into my skin when cutTing around my toenail to trim any dead skin off. Luckily, no infection occurred, especially after she put this solution over the injury. Also can suggest that their equipment is sanitized. But being cut twice in the same nail salon? Updating my review! I'm very unhappy with my service. I came in to get French tip acrylics. I never got the nail techs name. At first I was totally happy with what I got, but throughout the day I noticed all of the mistakes: crooked nails, bubbles, gaps, and lifting. See photos. Went in this morning to see if I could get another nail tech to fix it, I immediately got a no. The nail tech tried to defend herself by saying my nails underneath were too short and that's what caused all of these issues. I Googled it, bubbles are caused by an incorrect powder to liquid ratio. She blamed the gaps on my short nails as well. The LEAST she could do was admit she messed up. I asked for a refund and the manager said "ok but we have to cut everything off." Then after a few seconds, he offered to give me half a refund. I'll never come back. --------- Called yesterday afternoon to see if they had any openings and immediately got a nail tech named Brian. Nice guy, he tried to make conversation but it was too hot to really talk. I don't think this place has ac or they choose to not turn it on. It was 106 degrees and they had the door open with fans. The back of my knees were sweaty. This is partly why I'm giving 3 stars. I asked for a full set of acrylics (I'm a nail biter). $28 for acrylics with regular polish or $40 for acrylics with gel. I went with regular polish because I like to change up my nail colors. Brian is very meticulous. He's been doing this for a year now. Although I know he means well, he files way too close to the cuticle. I bled a little bit. Besides that, my cuticles are now sore. As for the nails, he did a good job. Some tips are not exactly even but I can't complain. Overall the process took about two hours which is a really long time. read more

Customer service is great they are very kind they offered us water but they were rushing us to sit down while I was explaining them what I wanted and once I told them what I like to have I wasn't pleased with my results As of the results I feel like they over charged only because the outcome was horrible my nails look like I did them myself at home this is my second time coming here and I'm still not satisfied and I do not plan on coming back only because my nails look outgrown already and it's only been a day with them they have bubbles and lines from the gel polish and before starting on my hand she did not take out my cuticles or finished it off with cuticle oil my hands look dry and so do my feet I'm very unsatisfied you guys can see in the photos She charge me 68 for my nails and 50 on my feet my feet are still dry I still have cuticles I'm very disappointed I even showed her a photo as an example how I want my nails to look she told me she could do that and I also asked her if she can do gel powder instead of gel polish because it's a better finish but she didn't listen and did a gel polish instead for the colors and my nails were still sticky and I had to ask her if I can leave my nails longer in the blue light I don't wanna come off as rude I just wanted to give my honest opinion that way I can save someone from wasting their money on something they might not be satisfied in I also saw the reviews before coming the photos looked amazing that's why I decided to come but my outcome wasn't so lucky read more

Okay! So this review is 2-in-1 haha My pink nails were done 3 weeks prior to my blue nails. Both times I had May and Kim work on me. May helped me pick out the pink color and Kim helped me decide on the blue color, both ladies are amazing and super helpful!!! I honestly love this nail salon so much, everybody is so nice and caring, they truly do take care of their customers! I love the ladies at Del Sur Nails & Spa because they make you feel at home and are always conversing with their customers. Today I came in and everyone was so welcoming. The whole time Abie was talking to me we were laughing and she complimented me so much, I love her and Kim and May!!! They never disappoint and they TAKE THEIR TIME unlike some other places where they rush on your nails and you're leaving with nails that probably aren't fried all the way and will most likely crack and chip within the first week! So I just went here to get a regular manicure and pedicure. I have nothing bad to say about the pedicure. They did a great job applying the polish, and there are very little streaks. I also got the sea salt exfoliate done with my pedicure and that was really relaxing. The manicure however was an issue for me. The girl I had went really hard on my cuticles, to the point where one of my fingers began to bleed. She closed it up with some sort of gel, which I'm not sure of, it's hard and I feel like when I am going to take the hardened gel off, my cuticle will just bleed again. The nails themselves are alright, they're a little streaky and bumpy, but nothing to complain about. I found a couple of ants crawling on the floor and on the chair I was sitting in. Update: The ladies helped my nails say Merry Christmas. I love this place! This definitely is one of my secret hiding places. The staff does an amazing job with my nails. They are detail oriented and my polish (manicure and pedicure) always last longer than any other salon I have been to. Regardless of whether it is a standard polish or gel, my nails hold up nicely. I have tried several other salons, from Spring Valley to Poway, over the course of 4 years. I have always been disappointed. The only place that consistently provides the same level of service is Cool Touch Nails. Ask for Kin for manicures (standard or gel) and Melissa for pedicures (standard or gels). Melissa also does wonderful, tasteful designs too. Lastly, the just remodeled their shop. It is very nice! All the furniture, including massage chairs are new. Most importantly, the staff treat you like family. The shop is peaceful, not pact with people, where you feel like you are being rushed in and out. Had a tight schedule and called to make an appointment for 12:45. They said that would be fine and I asked specifically for manicure and pedicure to be done simultaneously because I had to be out by a certain time. They said no problem. I show up on time and after 15 min I say i have to go soon and if they're unable to start me I have to go somewhere else. I brought up how I had confirmed that I needed both jobs done at the same time and they just shrugged. They said they can only do one or the other if i need to leave by a certain time - and didn't seat me until 1:15. I just don't get why they even bothered confirming the appointment. I went to this place when I was in highschool when they first opened in 2005 I think. They are great! they do a lot of group parties! They especially do a lot of birthday parties I think every time I have been in this place it has been filled with little girls They are so funny to listen to chatter amongst themselves, definitely brings me back to my childhood. It is also a relaxing location a lot of green in the area. Their prices here are cheap I think I came in here for a pedicure and only paid about 23 dollars. This place is walking distance from my house but I wouldn't dare because walking home in slipper with wet toenails is definitely a no go. They treat you like family! Have been going here for 6+ yrs for mani/pedi's with my daughter. She has sensory issues and doesn't like to be touched. She lets the tech's dote on her and give her massages and if I come without her, they always want to know where she is. I was in before Thanksgiving last week and got a gel french manicure. Within a day, the tips started chipping and by the end of the week they were a mess. Didn't want to complain or get the tech that had done my nails in trouble, she's normally one of the best there. I just asked to have them removed and told her I was really hard on my nails. Vicki, the owner, said they should last 2 weeks and they would re-do them for free. They re-did them, the whole time apologizing. I tried to leave the tech a tip and she wouldn't take it. Place is clean and the massage chairs are newer and very comfortable. They will always try to do your mani/pedi at the same time which is a major time savor. Can't say enough about the ladies who work there. I use Molly for lashes and she does an amazing job for a very reasonable price. I have also been happy with my pedicures and gels and visit this salon every month for the past 4 years. They are super friendly ladies and Natalie is wonderful for pedicures..They have all new equipment and each of the new beautiful foot bowls are lined in plastic every time so they are very sterile. I have been coming to Cool Touch on and off for the past 4 years when I visit my family in San Diego. I really wish I could find a nail place I liked this much near where I live. Everyone that works here is always very nice and accommodating. The salon is pretty clean and you can tell that they are using sanitized tolls.
