This review is more for the two employees working by themselves during a recent visit and how sweet and pleasant they were despite the circumstances. This review is not so much for the service or the food but let me share my experience. On a recent Saturday night, my wife and I decided to go to this Del Taco to order some food before heading home. We ordered through the drive-through ordering two tacos two burritos and two french fries and a beverage. After receiving our food, we realized we were missing a french fry, so I parked and went inside where I saw only two employees struggling to keep up with the orders. One working the back when working the drive-through. Now mind you they had kiosks to order from which is what you get when you ask politicians to give you $20 an hour but I digress. I noticed a couple of people down on their luck and realized these poor employees have to deal not only with staffing shortages but also the shady people from the nearby park/shopping center. I truly hope these two employees see this and know I'm not upset about missing an item, but just giving a shout out to those two amazing ladies. read more

The workers here will be happy to see you leave if you refuse to order from kiosk. Rude, ignorant workers with no concept of customer service. No wonder the dining room is empty at lunch time on the weekends. Yelp requires a star to post. If not for that this sorry excuse for a Del Taco would probably have a one star rating on Yelp. Twice in the last two weeks the sorry excuses for employees have given me shit because I did not want to order at the kiosk. Oh, well, they will not be doing it next week. I'll start off by saying I always come to this location because it's close to my home. I can honestly say every time I come here it's usually through the drive through and the employees are always very nice with good attitudes. Tonight was especially great for me because REYNA went above and beyond. I had a card issue and she just had the sweetest personality. Didn't make me feel bad, wasn't rushing me, just great customer service that I appreciate because it's very rare these days. It's people like her that make your day better. We visit this location quite frequently usually the service and food is great. There have been two occasions (which is the only two times we've had interaction with her) that this ONE particular employee is extremely rude. My grandsons taco was made incorrectly, I asked if it could be remade. The young lady at the counter was very sweet and asked this particular employee to remake it. The response was that's not how it was entered into the system (it was entered correctly). She then agreed to remake it, set it on the area by her, then proceeded to stand there. I asked if she could hand me the taco her response was, "I'm busy" with her rude attitude and rolled her eyes and walked away. Not sure why she has this attitude for the second time, but I feel it's something deeper. She is the only one at that restaurant that has a horrible attitude. Awfully rude drive order taker, has no concept of customer service. I've ordered a burrito twice and both times the cheese was not melted, asked for it to be grilled longer. She saidI would be charged extra, I didn't ask for extra cheese. Her tone and attitude was poor. I called the establishment, one lady who also sounded rude answered I asked if it was corporate. She said no and hung up. I called again and explained my poor experience, she claimed she was the manager but didn't even know who was working the drive thru. She obviously didn't care, or it was the same poor customer service representative. If you want a taco just take the drive else where. read more

I ordered ahead to pickup my food through the drive thru lane. I patiently waited my turn, but when I arrived at the drive thru windows, was asked to go in front and that they would bring me my order when it was ready. I did that, also patiently. After about a 15 minute wait, I decided to go inside and ask about my order. It was sitting on the rack for mobile orders. No one even attempted to bring this order to me. When I tried to give this feedback through the app, it wouldn't let me give the feedback. When I called the number for this location, the number per the app was incorrect. When I googled the number and called that, no one picked up. So, here I am to give the feedback. If I had been instructed to come inside to get the order, I would still be annoyed, but less so. This place is the best. I wanted to keep it quiet but decided to share. Everything is made to order after you order food is excellent. Service is great and the people working there are very welcoming. There is never a wait or a line. I don't how the drive through is because I always go inside because of the great service. read more

I went inside Del Taco today. Instead of an employee taking my order I was directed to the kiosk to order. Thus, because of the $20.00 an hour minimum wage they eliminated an employee's salary!!!!! There used to be four employees working at 10:00 am and now there are half that working there. As you can see, the minimum wage increase did not help anyone!!! read more

Asked if we wanted sauce and my husband said no then when we decided we wanted sauce the worker started talking crap to another worker about how she had to get us sauce. Good place to go if you are craving fast food tacos. Specifically, I was wanting food from their dollar deals menu. Since this Del Taco location has only been open a couple of months, I decided to forgo the drive thru and dine in instead. Alas, their dining area was still closed because of covid. Probably explains why their dining area was sparkling clean!! Anyways, I ordered at the counter since my order would now be for takeout. Service was polite and efficient. I ordered several items from their dollar menu. For only a dollar each, the Chicken Al Carbon taco and the Ranch Crispy Chicken Taco were really good. Mini Cheddar Quesedilla was meh. Donut Bites were very yummy!! Will be making future trips to this Del Taco whenever I get cravings for fast food tacos or donut bites! read more

I've been going to this local since it opened. My last visit was a major disappointment. I ordered 3 del tacos and fries. All of my tacos were 75 percent cheese, barely any lettuce or tomato and the shells were cracked. Didn't they advertise hot and crispy fries! Mine were cold and limp. Seriously, taco shell, meat,cheese,lettuce, tomato and hot fries. How hard is that? I'll give them another chance though, I'm addicted! read more

I avoid this Del Taco!! You should too! It's not family friendly!! Umm, moms with little kids need someone to take their order. Don't expect us to get technically savvy because when our kids are hangry, your touch screen non human order machine is not an option. So difficult when franchises can't be open minded and have options for their customers and technology has to be forced on us. Apart from this they have horrible customer service. That's probably why they use their screen machines to order. I did ask for help, but they wanted me to use their technology and became agitated with me. Umm, no I'm not going to learn your job, just so I can get an order placed. It's better Del Taco shuts down this location. Avoid this one at ALL cost. Holy moly! Walked in a little after 7:30 PM tonight (Tuesday not busy at all). First thing I see-two employees sitting in the dining room right next to the front door. I'm guessing they were on their break. Not a good visual. Next thing I see is an employee standing behind the counter talking on her cell phone. Waited but no one was available to serve us. I'm gonna have to classify this as an example of some of the worst service I've ever experienced. Imagine a business where it's run by a group of high school kids 5 minutes before quitting time! Came here shortly after they opened and things weren't too bad. Came back a few more times and orders were taken faster when they had staff outside taking orders before you got anywhere near the mic. Today they seemed to have ended that and I sat for what seemed like an eternity waiting for them to take my order. The cars in front of me weren't moving, and mind you there's no one inside ordering or eating so not sure what the hold up was/is, but I nearly fell asleep waiting so long. Finally a worker came out to say there were 16 fiesta packs that had been ordered, so everyone was delayed. We were told our mobile order was already prepared, yet per the app it's not made til we arrive and tell them we're at the restaurant. Of course we pull up and it's no ready as we were told as they suddenly had 18 fiesta packs to make for someone that wasn't here! This place has quickly gone down hill. We were told it would be a while, then they couldn't find out order! It was a hassle and not worth the wait since the fries, burger and basically everything else was cold AF! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! The other 2 reviews seem shady and probably left by employees. read more

I went to the del taco in on Stockdale in Bakersfield, I have been to this location a few times and the customer service here was horrible every single time. The employees were always very rude and would roll their eyes. They had an attitude every time we asked for something. We had a larger order but I still don't think that is the correct way to deal with customers. read more

Been to this location 5 to 10 times now and its a great location. All of the workers here are very friendly and food has been good. My issue is management making their employees stand outside in 100-110 degree weather to take peoples orders when it is not even busy. Everytime i've been here there has been literally no line, 1-2 cars max yet the employee is forced to sit out there in the heat. Use your intercom like all of the rest of the Del Tacos in town. read more

Just went to this location, pulled up and waited a couple minutes, then get to the window and am met with silence for at least 3 straight minutes. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking they were probably busy. I ordered 2 shakes and pulled up while 2 cars were still in front of me. The first one pulls off, then the second one sits there for at least another 5 minutes and at this point it's getting pretty irritating. I pull up to the window and pay and I'm looking in and I see one of my shakes on the counter and the other one 80% full sitting on the ice cream machine with the light blinking red. Then the girl picks it up and is trying to get more out of the machine when clearly there is none left. I wait and watch the girl do other orders for another couple minutes and I'm actually dumbfounded when she picks the cup back up (still 80% full) and tries AGAIN to get more out of the machine whilst a millimeter of shake is coming out and she's scraping the cup against the nozzle and is looking at the thing questioning why nothing is coming out. I drive off without my shakes because at this point the one on the counter has had who knows how many minutes to start melting and the one in her hand has been scraped against a machine and looks so sloppy. I'm not mad about the 9ish dollars I spent, I'm just disappointed that I spent more than 20 minutes waiting in a fast food line for 2 shakes because of poor training and ignorance on behalf of the employee. read more
