The food tasted old. The tortillas were crusty, a $4 breakfast burrito had what looked like it had half an egg and a quarter strip of bacon. Multiple BREAKFAST items were ordered and there were NO HASHBROWNS, they had to use French fries not a breakfast item. This after a 15 minute wait in the drive thru at 2 AM. The food was the worst that I or my coworker have EVER HAD at Del Taco... I WILL NOT BE GOING TO THIS DEL TACO AGAIN!!!! Oh and upon arrival there was NO EMPLOYEES AROUND!!! When a complaint call was made to the location a female not identifying herself answered and was nonchalant about the extremely poor customer service being reported. She was informed that the manager would be notified later in the morning.. Her response, Ok, thank you, bye bye!!! Not a care about what was being said... I just got back to my hotel across the street from Del Taco. I am in town for work and came here after 2 am to grab a quick bite. When I walked in I was greeted by 3-4 random homeless men sleeping on tables, with their things on the floor. I was with a friend who went towards the register as I made my way to the restroom before I ordered. As I walked in the restroom, immediately I was stepping over a homeless man with his things scattered all over the restroom and electronics plugged into every outlet. When I walked in he was scared and shoving things in his backpack. I used the restroom and when I walked out he was using a needle which appeared to be drugs. I flagged down my friend that make sure he did not order any food due to the sketchyness of the establishment. It appeared to be a sort of heroine den or something. With all the passed out people and drug user in the restroom. I hate to leave a bad review but this was extreme. read more

Back in the college days, I frequented Del Tacos a few times a week - nothing beats a late night craving than cheap burritos, chicken soft tacos, and a cheeseburger. Where else can you order cheeseburger and fries with your tacos and burritos? I had visited this location out of nostalgia and for a quick bite and opted for the chicken tacos and a big ground beef burrito; the chicken tacos were great and had just the same taste as I remembered them. But man, something was off with the ground beef - when beef taste like lamb, I think that was a warning already. But I dove in some more and got half way until I couldn't take it anymore. And then I had stomach issues that night. So, lesson learn, when beef tastes like old lamb, toss it out. And, the next time I was in the area, I went to Panda Express instead. read more

Wayy better than Taco Bell. This was my first time trying Del Taco and I was craving fast food so I got the mini bacon quesadilla, breakfast burrito, and breakfast scrambler. Everything was under $7 and actually tasted good, I was surprised. The guy working here was nice too and that's always a plus. I also thought it was cool that eagles table had a basket of sauce packets, I've never seen a fast food joint with any of that. You know for a fast food chain this place isn't that bad. I'll admit they lose to taco bell with the American stuff but for the more authentic items they aren't that far off from traditional mexican restaurants. The flavors are simple and clean and the prices are cheap, I wish they had more sauces but they play it safe as a chain so its understandable. I came here with my family last Sunday at their Los Angeles location and I thought that this place was excellent for quick Mexican food other than going to a Taco Bell. I absolutely adored the nice festive Mexican feel of the inside. I also loved and enjoyed the food here more than Taco Bell as well. I do like this place a lot more than I like and enjoy Taco Bell. I find that the food here is more fresher and more authentic than the Mexican food that they serve at Taco Bell. I ordered their Macho Nacho plate and they did serve it with fresh sour cream, fresh melted cheddar cheese, fresh ground beef, and fresh pickled Jalapeño Peppers all on top of a fresh and warm bed of tortilla chips. If I had to chose this place over Taco Bell, I would definitely choose this place any day and time of the year. Simply because I truly do find this place to be more authentic than Taco Bell. Wanted to love Del Taco as local Taco Bell sucks so after reading some positive reviews wanting Mexican food decided to go a few extra miles hopefully for something good...still close enough for food to be hot & fresh in home sadly not the case, cold Quesadillas cheese hardened means not made to order neither were "Crunchy" tacos all soggy meat dropped through shell not an enjoyable experience for this taco lover, yuck! Nacho's look wonderful in picture more meat & tomatoes with dabs of sour cream, opened lid to find chips smothered with sour cream covering entire surface wondering if this was a joke. In these times with dining out more challenging seems they would want to put their best foot forward which creates repeat business, would be smart of them to do so its their job...secret for great Mexican food featured on this menu it must be made to order, if a little more time is needed in preparation for drive through orders not a problem waiting in parking lot if that is what it takes to receive a freshly made order, spending $20 for two (food only, no drinks) our order as served was totally unacceptable won't be returning... read more

The mood was casual, yet elegant as I walked into this fine, Mexican establishment. Yearning for some sort of Taco, I perused the Del Taco menu which features a wide array of choices that were sure to sooth my palate. I ordered three of the Chicken Taco Al Carbon and I was not disappointed. The food was filling, yet easily digestible and I left the restaurant with a feeling that I would need to return again soon. What separates this fast-food joint from other similar places is that it's prices are relatively cheap and the entree's pack an extra punch. It would be perfectly accurate to say that you could walk in and out of this place without spending more than five dollar bill and still leave with the feeling that you were reasonably satiated. Also, like i said before, the food has a special kick in its products that make it spicy, but not enough to leave you longing for a glass of milk. Furthermore, for those of you looking for a healthy option, this is one of the few fast-food restaurants that have posted their nutritional information online. To find out how many calories, grams of fat and any other nutritional needs, all one would have to do is enter Del Taco into a simple Google search. It's a great option and I wish other similar restaurants would do the same.
