VERY TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT and SERVICE!!!!! I visited Del Taco on Telegraph and Ford Rd. at 8:00 pm Thursday night, July 8th. The line was long, wrapping around the building and jutting out into Telegraph Rd. I like Del Taco enough to wait in line. For 45 minutes!!!! After 30 minutes, we got to the speaker where we thought we were supposed to order....and we waited. And waited. We waited for 10 minutes and no one spoke through the speaker. We were holding up the line. "Oh, we must have to order at the window." Waited 5 more minutes in line and finally got to the window. I explained to the girl at the window (tall, thin, African American girl) that we didn't order at the speaker because we weren't sure. Her response: "Sorry, you will have to go around and go through the line again." No way...I just spent 45 minutes in line. "Sorry, you have to go in line again." Where's your manager. The girl goes and comes back to the window. "THE MANAGER IS TOO BUSY TO TALK TO YOU RIGHT NOW. YOU HAVE TO GO BACK IN LINE." I need to talk with the manager. "SORRY, SHE CAN'T TALK. YOU HAVE TO GO BACK THROUGH THE LINE." Got the manager's name: Dejuanna??? Not sure...The tall girl was talking fast and being elusive. So I wrote down the manager's name DEJUANNA and left. First time ever here. I live 3 hours away. 3 people walked out AFTER their order was taken that's how slow this place was. Counter line was backed up half way to door. One person running register. There was another person at another register, but it was more important for her to fill condiments into bowls. No sense of urgency at this location. Seemed as if management and corporate has no appreciation for their workers, that's how slow it was. Got our food, waited 6 minutes to order, took another 8 minutes to get our order, which was cold when we got it. Someone DID go into the bathrooms to clean, but 2 minutes later when we got ready to leave, bathroom looked dirty yet. Still toilet paper on floor, sink dirty, dirty floor. Didn't even look like it was cleaned even though someone was just in it. I will never visit this location ever again. My first impression: My dog gets better attention at the vet than we got at this place. read more

I just recently decided to check out this location because I pass it all the time heading to HFCC and I love ameri-mex food. I'd never had it before but I frequent Taco Bell quite often. Since I've only eaten there once and only tried one thing, I guess my review won't be too fair...I ordered 2 tacos deluxe that had sour cream and salsa on them, otherwise a regular taco. And they tasted EXACTLY like Taco Bell. Nothing exciting in the flavor of the meat, the salsa or the little packets of hot sauce. And apparently they also sell hamburgers??? Weird....It was tasty, not gonna lie and slightly cheaper than Taco Bell. But so far, I'm still not convinced of it's apparent awesomeness. read more

As far as fast food goes 4 stars for a somewhat healthier alternative to your normal burger and fries their carne asada steak tacos are good and there pico de Gayo is reasonable if you're not driving down to Mexican town aside from a few sporadic restaurants this will be your best bet and if its only a 30 minute lunch popping in here is a good alternative read more

I frequent this place the last two years as an easy go to on busy nights/days. Everything was fine until 12/23/18. Ate 3 hard Del, developed the worst intestinal/diarrhea I've ever had in my life. I have had food poisoning once before, it lasted about a day and a half to rid of, this has gone on now for 4 days. Been to the ER to confirm it is def. food poisoning. A nice change from The Bell. Bean and cheese burrito is superior to Bell's, its the green sauce rather than red. Nachos not as good, can't beat that Bell nacho sauce. Do try the deep fried Jalapeno Pepper rings, a powerful mouth-burning pleasure; tho the sauce would be better if it were sour cream based rather than mayo based. Cheese Quesadillas is simple but good on the go. I liked their tostada, mini and manageable. A vegetarian's delight with lots of variety. My favorite location of the metro franchises, this del taco usually has a great staff in the morning but by late afternoon it gets messy. The best items on the menu are the fish and shrimp tacos and the Mexican chopped chicken salad. Healthy leafy greens with chips and avocado on the side. The breakfast burritos are also good. foods is good but portions are extremely inconsistent. I've gotten hard shell tacos there that had almost nothing in them. if you go through the drive through and take them home it's annoying to get shorted like that. I used to go there frequently but last year they raised the prices to almost double for tacos and at the same time made them a third smaller. no longer a good value so I only go there once in a while. read more

Used to think this place was good when they first opened. Now I realize that their food is pretty bad. Their tortillas have a really weird rubbery taste and texture to them. Everything just tastes like mush, worse than Taco Bell. They make a lot of noise about their shredded beef filling but it has zero taste to me. Their combo meal combinations make no sense at all. The burgers are really small and really messy. Three things keep me from giving them one star instead of two: 1) I give them props for offering french fries with burritos and tacos because it is a strange thing to do and I applaud strange, 2) the "macho" size drinks come in plastic cups that can be easily reused as party cups, and 3) their breakfast burrito is actually pretty good. But, it is really one star food. To make it even remotely tasty I end up blasting it with as much hot sauce as possible so in the end I'm paying money for untasty food when I could get the same taste just slurping the salsa straight. read more

Del taco is always good. Since I am a picky eater, I only get 2 soft tacos with meat and cheese only. I wish they would put more meat on.

pros: - super cheap plain tacos/burritos - way better chips than tb - carmel cheesecake bites = super good - open 24 hrs - can get burger and fries for picky kids at the same drive thru! cons: - anything other than plain tacos/burritos is over priced - ground beef is not as good as tb - mild sauce tastes like tomato soup - medium sauce tastes like lime/tomato sauce - jalapenos are super pickled and super hot - all combo meals come with fries, no option to sub taco. :( read more

First time experience with Del Taco... Got ripped off by the girl working the window. 3 of us ordered food that totaled $28.00 and some change. I gave the girl two 20.00 bills and got a 5 and single and some change back. I immediately told the girl that she didn't give me the correct change and she went into defense mode claiming that she gave me two 5's back. I told her I wanted to talk to the supervisor. The supervisor comes to the window and the girl starts again going off saying that I am trying to say she didn't give me the correct change. I told the girl, " I am talking to her not you. The supervisor removed her from the window and took down my info to contact me later! First off, who gives somebody two fives back instead of a 10? Never heard back from them. That girl should not be working the window, much less working there period with that attitude. I was trying to be civil. Lastly, we get home and the food tasted so nasty that I ended up throwing it into the trash.. Way over priced. Thank god for taco bell, I will stick with them...
