I have always loved Del Taco's tacos far more than "the bell," so when I see one I always want to stop. Yesterday, I just wanted something small to hold me over for a dinner out, so I ordered just one taco. It was packed with fillings to the brim, and was tasty and fresh. My husband's meal, on the other hand, left more than a little to be desired. My husband doesn't like Mexican food as much as I do, so he ordered a burger and fries. First mistake. Never order Americanized food from a Mexican restaurant. It was pretty awful. The burger was standard, nothing special, and he wasn't happy with the consistency or the presentation, the bun fell apart as he tried to eat it, just a mess. And the fries, what can I possibly say about the fries? They were your typical frozen, crinkle cut, and weren't even crispy, in fact some were still almost raw in places. He threw some of them away, they were that bad. While we waited in the drive-thru for our order, two different women waited on us, and they were, how can I say, clearly not happy with their jobs. They weren't friendly or welcoming at all, and repeated questions about sauce or not because they didn't communicate with each other. I enjoy the food but the fact that the dining rooms are closed for even take out is asinine. If it's a COVID thing then I don't think they've looked at the CDC facts showing that I have more of a chance of dying from a vending machine falling on me and killing me so I have to assume Del Taco is protecting me from their ice machines killing me. With Reno growing so much, a lot of people that want something quick to eat would like Del Taco so they can go back to work to help that growth. That also means service trucks and tractor trailers and many other vehicles don't fit in the drive through. This place sucks. I ordered a combo and you would think they would include fries. But no instead I get attitude from the employer insisting she packed the fries. These new white bags have got to go. This is the dirtiest Del taco ever. I took my son to the bathroom to wash up before we eat. There was no soap. We told the fatty behind the counter that they were out and they promptly did nothing. It took 12 minutes to get our food. Way to long for there only being 4 other people there. Tacos and cheeseburger were good though. Yeah chicken soft tacos!! Sadly I had to give one star to post my review. Never had an issue with this place. Today we decided to have lunch while our vehicle was getting serviced next door. We ordered medium size combos. Turns out we received a small serving in a medium container. Then the lady with purple hair seemed to be bothered when I approached her. I'm like if that was the case I would have ordered a small combo. She proceeded to add more fries and delivered with an attitude. WORST! Not worth one star. I placed my order in the drive thru, after waiting several seconds for a voice over the intercom. My order didn't get read back to me. I Pulled up to the window and still didn't get my order read back to me. The guy took my payment and didn't give me a receipt. I finally got my order, from a different person who took my order and payment, after a long wait and had to ask for my receipt. I looked in my bag and was missing a burrito. I informed them it was missing a burritoand went round and round because I said I ordered a Del "Taco" beef burrito, she asked that I "ordered a taco that you didn't get?" I had to clarify 3 more times what I was missing. She went away, with my receipt in hand, and brought a burrito back and handed it to me. Just got an 8 layer veggie burrito & the green leaf lettuce was literally rotten. Looked like they pulled it from the dumpster! Yuck! Made me gag! Never going here again! Needing to find a quick lunch prior to a doctor's appointment, I opted to try Del Taco for the first time. I had the 2 for $5 8 layer veggie burrito. I was surprised when I got the order as they were huge! I could only eat 1 and take the second home for dinner. They tasted very good and with a touch of hot sauce it was a perfect lunch. The dining room is clean, nothing special about the decor. The hot sauce is available at each table, which is nice. Prices are reasonable and the cashier was ready to take my order and the order was ready very quickly. I enjoyed my meal and I'll be back. They just need a little extra parking. read more

I have been going to Del Taco at 12490 Old Virginia St Reno, Nevada since they opened for many years. The food is good and the employees are always very nice. Today July 12th 2022 at 4:10 I placed an in store order to go. I was parked in the handicap space. I am 73 years old with a bad hip. Looking out the window waiting for my order a car backed up next to mine. The driver and 2 other people came into Del Taco and went behind the counter. They were employees. I noticed the car was parked very close to mine and it would be very hard to get into my car. When I got my order and was ready to leave I asked the girl at the counter if the young man was going to move his car. Then I heard him telling people I was parked on the line. I went out and opened the passenger door of my car and put my food on the seat. I had my cell phone in hand and was going to call the manager to ask the young man to please move his car. Before I could make the call he came out to move his car. I tried to thank him but he had a very DISRESPECTFUL attitude. It is so sad that young people have a lack of respect or courtesy for older people. Maybe someone needs to remind them they are going to be OLD one day. read more

Although the service can be slow at the drive thru, the franchise is becoming our favorite fast food place. The reason is almost all foods they offer has Beyond Meat options!!! We love love love that as vegetarians we can order tacos and burritos with beyond meat. They even offer vegan tacos! Yesterday we tried the 8 layer Beyond Meat burrito and it was nice. Just had Del Taco cheeseburger for supper and it was pretty good. We also had some of the beef tacos and those were also good. They have expanded their menu so there are a lot of options. This location is never super busy but busy enough that the food is always fresh. The staff is polite and quick without making you feel rushed. read more

I don't normally do reviews but I feel the need to prevent other people from having the experience I just did. Went to this Del Taco location last night at about 6:15 and ordered a large fry and a macho burrito. I had been working all day and hadnt had an oppurtunity to eat and still had a long drive home ahead of me. When I pulled over to eat the fries were soggy and tasted weird. The burrito was poorly made and had a weird taste as well. Within an hour I was violently vomiting into my toilet. I wanted to give the food the benifit of the doubt but this morning I'm now experiencing some diahreah. Ive very clearly had a case of food poisoning. This isn't the first time I've had problems with this location either. I like Del Taco but I would recomend extreme caution to eating at this one in particular.
