This is the best Del taco I've ever been to the man that manages it and his employees are so sweet and they do such a good job. The food always comes out hot and fresh and tasty with crispy hot french fries and it's the only place that I go in the area and feel like I'm not getting ripped off they do such a great job. Worst Del Taco. They should close it down and build something else. Everything is run down including their employees. They shut down operation at 10:30pm when they are clearly open until 11pm. This is the most disgusting Del taco I have ever been in in my life. The lettuce had a weird smell and was super soggy the fries were brown and gross, there were no refills on your soda. The floors were sticky there were giant spiders spiderwebs and bugs all over the restaurant. Trash was overflowing from the trash cans. There was no air-conditioning or ventilation in the restaurant it was stuffy and smelly just like a gas station bathroom. I was trying to visit this awesome place called The Loose Caboose down the street, I just wanted to buy fresh honey and feed koi fish, but as soon as I pulled up - I had to pee bad. Loose Caboose doesn't have a restroom, so I decided to double back to the Del Taco I saw on the way in to Santa Paula and that's where this review begins. Firstly, I was with my girlfriend who has told me on more than one occasion that she has never tried Del Taco in her whole life. I went inside, peed and thought about returning to the car with tacos. The guy behind the register was awesome, he helped me pick out two classic tacos - the chicken soft taco (personal fav) and the staple that started it all - the Del Taco Classic taco. Yes, I only bought two tacos for us to sample because I already have problems with being fat and all as it is. What was so cool is the cook in the back asked what I wanted and started it before they even rang me up. Such speed, agility and compassion for me. The service was the best I have ever experienced at a Del Taco. Friendly, professional and I could tell they just wanted me to enjoy tacos and wanted nothing more from me. I returned to the car with our tacos and did a food review with my girl. The Del Taco classic was good. The beef danced with the cheese, the tomatoes gave a pop of freshness and the shell was crunchy but not stale. The star of the show to me was the chicken soft taco. The meat is seasoned to perfection, the shredded lettuce and creamy sauce give it a very crisp, light taste and texture. My girlfriend, who is not impressed with Mexican-ish fast food thought the tacos were pretty good too. 5 Stars for service, I will pee there again and most likely order more tacos next time I'm in town. read more

I ordered a beyond meat taco combo and specified no cheese as well as a bean and rice burrito. the tacos were real meat tacos and packed monstrously with cheese. I threw them away and am starving on my 7 hour road trip. now you may wonder? well what about the burrito? you shouldnt be starving? That burrito should not even have a food name.
