I've been to this location a few times usually it's acceptable food, good but not great. Today it was not only bad but also incorrect. I ordered a Chicken asada burrito to go. I received a beef burrito with a scoop of meat on one end and a scoop of non- flavorful beans. Who makes a burrito like that. A burrito ingredients should be spread across the tortilla and then rolled. You would think a supposed Mexican place would know that. First time here and they're so much better than the Taco Bell joint I visited on last evening in Marietta. They have really good ground beef seasoned well with fresh toppings of lettuce and tomatoes. I skipped the cheese on my tacos but they were still very delicious. The service was fast and friendly and I enjoyed the overall experience. They actually fill the taco shell with food. Ever since I first tried this Del Taco, I have been obsessed. Super cheap and WAY better than Taco Bell. I usually get the Number 1 Quick Combo (2 Del Tacos, crinkle-cut fries, and a drink) and 2 mini churros. This location definitely isn't perfect. I've waited in long lines and they've gotten my order wrong but any time they have made a mistake, they make up for it by giving me a coupon. So I walked in and no one said anything. Ok cool let me get my order together. Still nothing. One girl counting her drawer down and walked away with it. Still nothing. No hello, hold on, just a minute. I'm super hungry and needed to jump on the hwy, so that's the only reason I stayed. Finally I order and head to the soda machine. I get Sprite and when I look down there is black stuff in my cup. Poured it out, rinsed the cup and got my sprite. Black stuff again. At this point the nozzles have not been cleaned. Stopped by for the 1st time tonight for a quick dinner and to be a fast food chain, they are definitely worth it. Much better than Taco Bell, which I despise. The droce thru service was quick, the crew was nice and, although I didn't stop in, the inside looked to be clean. I got the grilled chicken tacos with hard shell which were good, smaller than the picture, but I guess that's to be expected. My daughter enjoyed the steak and potato burrito as well. Del Taco is so cheap and they do not use artificial ingredients. I like the $1 bean and cheese burrito and the churros. They offer french fries as well which is strange but a lot of people order them. I prefer to get the side of chips and salsa. This location is very clean. The salsa bar is well-kept. The staff is fast and friendly. The only improvement I could offer, which is to corporate not to this individual store, is to redo the signs that show the menu. If you know me, you know I love Del Taco. I come from where Del Taco originated and well, we don't have any here in Chattanooga. Whenever I go to Atlanta, I must make a Del Taco stop. I buy several bean & cheese burritos and take them home and freeze them. They help me out when I have a DT craving. My favorite thing to get though, is a Del Combo Burrito. Meaty, beany, cheesey with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, etc. It's 'da bomb! This Del Taco is small but clean and the staff were very friendly. They have $1 large freshly brewed sweet teas, cheap tacos and decent nachos and cheese. The have a large selection of food options - from burgers to fish tacos to ground turkey. You cant find ground turkey at any fast food place. I wish more places had that option. I usually order the bean & cheese burrito and a side of nachos and cheese. I remember loving to eat at Del Taco when I was a kid. We didn't get to eat at fast food restaurants often so it was always a treat. I wasn't into hamburgers back then so I always asked for tacos from Del Taco. My dad and I even had a song that we sang about Del Taco (My heart's on fire for Del Taco - to the tune of Elvira). This was simply a quick impromtu stop while trying to get my tastebuds to direct me somewhere cheap, well I landed here, at Del Taco! Now this was a pleasant surprise and actually better than Taco Bell too! I prefer the authentic tacos from my neighborhood mexican spot but this was in my route of errands. I whipped in the drive-thru lane, stopped to view the selections and they have almost every kind of taco imaginable. I ordered a double beef, a Macho, shrimp, fish and chicken taco! I had some soft and some hard shells as variety, the Macho was a very large supreme taco. The service girl at the window was friendly, and smiling. My order was prompt and correct, and I got about 12 medium sauces. I pulled over in the parking lot to scarf one down which was the double beef in crunchy shell, ....very tasty. My dog was with me so I could not stay there and eat as we had things to do for her Sat. + she was drooling and glaring as if to say "how dare you eat like this in front of me, you know I can smell that stuff"!?!?!? :-))))) Del Taco is very much a Taco Bell style of tacos but I think better selection and pricing make this a better choice! read more

Eh....I've had Del Taco plenty of times in California and it was good! I don't know what's going on with these in Georgia. I had the Green Chlie Chicken Avocado bowl. In Cali....I tear this bowl up...in GA...I could barely get through it. And I think I have figured out the problem... The chicken. Yes, something is different about it...it's strange looking & the taste is odd. Coming from Los Angeles, CA seeing this place made me bring the car to a stop and flip a b**ch! I love Del Taco it's a mix between American and Mexican food. The food at this location is fresh and tasty can't go wrong with a couple of carne asada tacos. They are small but pack a punch! Believe me it's 1000xs better then Taco Bell. Nothing authentic about it however better then most fast food. The medium size is more like a large, the strawberry lemonade is good with real strawberries in it. Yummmmmmm The fries aren't your typical Micky ds there crispy and crinkle which I love! And they I've you plenty falling out of your fry bag. Seeing this made me feel as though I was back at home. And I was very happy and satisfied when leaving here. With my tummy full and same with my pocket. Give this place a try you won't regret it! I was heading to a friend's game night which was BYOB and BYOF (what kind of friend tells you to bring your own food??). Each pack has 6 tacos (choice of hard shell or soft tortilla) and 6 bean/cheese burritos. That was plenty of food and all for about $20. Granted, it's probably not the highest quality of ingredients, but it was about as fresh as it could be and everything tasted much better than Taco Hell's. Obviously it's not authentic, but when you want convenience and something original besides pizza or wings, grab a Fiesta Pack. Doesn't matter what time of the day. 1st time at Del Taco... This was pretty solid food for the price. I got $3 classic tacos, a cheese quasedila(sp?) and a medium drink for $5 (after $1 coupon). The tacos were 5 stars, much better then Taco Bell anyday. You could actually tell that the ingredients were fresh. The cheese quasedia was 2 stars..just ok. I'm not a fan of huge fan of quesadias in general so its reflected in the rating. The cheese seemed too fresh for my pallet, I guess thats on me from eating taco bell for so many years. After seeing other reviews I'm not sure I if ordered the wrong thing or this place just isn't my new go-to. I tried this place late night after remembering they were 24/7 and nothing else was open. I ordered a chicken taco salad, because its hard to mess up chicken right? wrong ! Although it was only a sprinkle of chicken to begin with it was not good at all. Out of Coke, serously? Ok, I guess I can understand that occasionally a restaurant might run out of something. I always begrudge their drink prices, anyway, ($1.79 for a small? What is this, a movie theater? ), but the two stars came from what happened next. I asked for a refund for the two cokes, and the answer was that the manager can't do a refund, but we could pick another menu item. Really? I asked the counter staff to go get the manager for me. Once the manager and another lady got up front, it took all 3 people to refund the two drinks. At least they did eventually apologize for being out of Coke, but they never did apologize for lying to me to get me to buy more food I didn't want because they were out of their overpriced coke. This was my first visit to a Del Taco. I definitely plan on going back and trying more items. They serve fries with their taco and burrito combos, which is the oddest thing! I've never seen that before. Not that it's bad or anything. The fries were quite tasty. While the taco seasoning isn't as distinct as whatever Taco Bell, the food seems to be of better quality. IT'S BAACCCK! Many of you Georgians probably eating at a "Del Taco" in the 1980s. Then in the 90s Taco bell swooped in and put them all under. Well I was driving through Cobb Pkwy one day a few months ago and I said "does that say DEL TACO??" I had to stop in and try it. OK so it's very similar to Taco bell, with a little bit of Moe's thrown in. (that being the salsa bar.) The ingredients taste fresh and the food doesn't give you that "ugh, WHY?!" feeling that Taco bell tends to give you. I always leave feeling refreshed and satisfied, but never stuffed and miserable. I eat here whenever I'm in the area. (not often enough for me.) The only bad thing is there's a LOT of rude guests that tend to boom their car stereos in the drivethrough. This has happened to me nearly every time I have eaten here. This is not the restaurant's fault, but it certainly puts me in a bad mood when I'm trying to enjoy my lunch to see my salsa splashing around like a T-rex is walking past. But ya know.. whattyagonnado? DO recommend! Also, they may not tell you this, but the cheese is delicious and you can get extra for a couple cents more per taco. Their chili cheese fries are good, tacos good, salsa good, sweet tea, everything! The parking lot is a bit of a maze for those who seem to think they can cut into the drivethrough without going around the building, and they wind up blocking you then trying not to look at you out the corner of their eye while you sit waiting on them to move so that you can leave. Del taco occupies the space between Taco Bell (generally agreed to be the bottom rung of the mainstream Americanized Mexican fast-food ladder) and Chipotle. It isn't as impartially mechanized as Taco Bell, or as customizable and fresh as Chipotle. But, it is cheaper than Chipotle on average, and just a bit more expensive than the Bell. Tacos and burritos are menu staples, though they do have other items, and weirdly, they also have crinkle fries. The tacos seem to be better constructed than the ones at Taco Bell. Don't get the cheddar quesadilla though. It is greasy as hell and not that substantive. There is a fresh salsa bar, even though they only had 2 kinds of salsa and 3 levels of hot sauce. This location is only a few months old, so the whole place still has a somewhat new feel to it. The takeaway is that if you're on a budget and craving some guilty-pleasure Ameri-Mex fast food, you can do one better than Taco Bell by eating here. read more
