Happy hour pizza, meatballs, salad, and a shrimp item

So, this is part of the "Back Of The House" innovative Bay Area restaurant group and they are as good as it gets for environment, service, quality of food, aesthetic, and price point. Top notch throughout. Coming from the original Pasta Pomodoro creator there's nothing about it that isn't perfection. When they talk about the 10 must have record albums on a desert island I'd be dining on offerings from this group as my culinary choices to accompany the music. Eat, drink, and be merry!

Great Italian spot in the Marina! The space was open and inviting with good outdoor seating. The pappardelle pasta was good and came out very quickly (to the point where the food came out before the drinks).

My roommate and I stopped in late Friday night and were able to luckily snag a table for 2. We ordered some drinks to start and then the burrata bruschetta- definitely a must get! We loved the honey and the nuts that come with it, I think about this dish often. We ordered the rigatoncini pasta and the chicken skewer to split. I was pleasantly surprised by the pasta- it was a little spicy, creamy, and packed with flavor. We didn't like the chicken skewers as much and thought we could've skipped ordering them. Overall a great spot to grab dinner before going out for drinks in the Marina. I strongly recommend having reservations, they were packed!

This is a perfect happy hour spot! They have a great selection of drinks and small dinner options to choose from. I will say the food is pretty mid/average, nothing crazy impressive. It's yummy but I come here for the good happy hour deal not because the food is amazing haha. I've come here multiple times after work to meet girlfriends and it's always a hit! The service is always great and the ambiance is open and casual. There's always a good amount of seating.

Top to bottom: Steak skewer ZITI CHICKEN PARMIGIANA Calamari

Came here with my friend for dinner on a Saturday night! We had a made a reservation so we were seated promptly. The restaurant is composed mainly of long tables, so we sat next to another party of two. My friend and I had come on Valentine's Day, so they had a special spritz that we both got and we both enjoyed! It tasted very similar to a typical aperol spritz, which we both like. We also got a steak skewer, ziti chicken parmigiana, and calamari to share. This was more than enough food for two people! I really liked the steak skewer - it was my favorite dish of the night. It's cooked perfectly, and sits on a bed of onions and potatoes. The calamari was also fried and seasoned perfectly, and I enjoyed the sauce it came with as well. The ziti chicken parmigiana could have had a bit more cheese, but I really liked the chicken - it was well-seasoned and breaded :) Overall, I enjoyed this meal, and I'll definitely come back another time for their meal deals and happy hour!

Great spot to come with a big group! One of the more affordable Italian places in the city, which makes it a great spot to come with a lot of people. The pizzas are good, nothing spectacular, but still solid and hit the spot. The drinks were honestly a highlight and definitely worth it ($13 for a cocktail) The vibe is super cute and fun, perfect for before a night out with friends. Service was great too! Overall, a really good go-to spot if you're looking for something casual, cute, and group-friendly! Want to come back for their happy hour and girl dinner special!

Just get the girl dinner. Girl dinner - 25$ a martini French fries and a salad. There's just nothing better. The other stuff is good too of course but what I would do, get the girl dinner and just call it a good cheap night. In this economy ? Get the girl dinner.

Delarosa is a really good spot for Italian food. There's indoor and outdoor seating and we sat outside which was nice. To start we got the burrata bruschetta. It comes with burrata cheese, honey, and hazelnuts on top. It was simple but super yummy, but I think the hazelnuts were not needed and overpowered the taste a bit. I was happy to see vegetarian lasagna on the menu as that's usually rare. It was good but maybe slightly overcooked. To drink I got the aperol spritz and it was so good, tasted like Fanta almost. The service was also pretty good.

Exceptional food and outdoor atmosphere. Attentive service. One of my favorite spots to bring people for food in the Marina.

Delarosa has been on my wishlist for a long time because we love thin-crust pizzas. Finally, I got a chance to have a drink and try their pizza for dinner this weekend. We didn't have a reservation, and the place was packed, but we got a table outdoors within 30 mins, so it was not bad at all. The place was lively and bustling, but the service was still pretty fast and friendly. I had the Midnight in Oaxaca cocktail, and for dinner, we had the crab arancini and the bartender pizza. Going by what others ordered, the bartender pizza seems to be a popular choice. The cocktail was okay - it was a little too sweet for my taste, but it was well presented. The sweetness completely overpowered the smokiness of the mezcal. But it was quite potent. LOL. The arancinis were tasty, but the pizza was the highlight for me. Exactly what I imagined. Thin crust, lovely sauce, tasty toppings. The pizza base was delicious just by itself. I could just eat the crusts with some olive oil or balsamic vinegar and still be happy. Full marks there! Definitely recommend it! Check it out if you are in the Marina District or Cow Hollow neighborhood.

Good service and a cute, trendy vibe. Went for the girl dinner promotion (dirty martini, caesar salad and fries for $25) with a friend and we ended up splitting one girl dinner and one pizza (also $25) which I highly recommend doing. Girl dinner - Caesar was well seasoned and the fries had lots of yummy parmesan. Can't really review the dirty martini because I don't usually order those. Portions were not very big, especially for the price. Fungi pizza - Crispy, fluffy crust but the flavor itself was on the bland side. I've had better fungi pizzas elsewhere and I think this could have used some more seasoning. Overall, we had pretty solid service and had a resi so no wait time. Would come back but probably not for the girl dinner promo specifically.

Came here with friends for dinner on a Saturday with a reservation. We got seated at the high top table, which was close to the front door. This is a very popular restaurant, so it can get quite crowded and noisy, making conversation difficult to hear. We still had loud of fun though! We got the Herbed Onion Bread, the Cauliflower, the Margherita Pizza, and the Fennel Sausage Pizza. Perfect for 4 people! Herbed Onion Bread: 4/5, nice fluffy bread, great as an appetizer. Cauliflower: 5/5, crispy and spicy, a nice starter that has a kick to it. Margherita Pizza: 3/5, poetry good but nothing special. A little gummy from being undercooked, probably because they were so busy and in a rush. Fennel Sausage Pizza: 4/5, liked this pizza much more with good sausage flavor. Loved the touch of green onions for crunch. Aperol Spritz: 3/5, pretty standard and not super bitter but a lot of ice. A good place to get dinner before going out in the Marina. Make sure to make a reservation!

Went around 4pm. We were looking for a happy hour in the marina. First off the happy hour prices here are really decent. All for about $10 and has 5 small plate options and about 8 drink choices. We tried the white prawns, the margherita pizza and the crab arincini(not on HH menu). For drinks we got the espresso martinis. The food was also decent, nothing too crazy delicious. The white prawns were probably my favorite because of the garlicky lemon butter sauce that's they are in. I mean I was dipping my pizza in it, the crab arincini and almost thought about adding it to my espresso martini haha The staff were kind and attentive. They checked on us ever so often, got us a table right away when we arrived.

    Is there anything without cheese?

They make the pizza's on the spot. You can ask for light to no cheese. Honey has a severe lactose allergy and the light cheese didn't set her off.

How crowded is your happy hour? If we were to walk up, how likely are we to get an outdoor table> Thanks

Walked in right before happy hour :) no wait!

Do you have gluten free options?

I just called and they said they can do pizza and pasta gluten free, just ask. They also said they can do the cauliflower gluten free.

Do they have outdoor seating during COVID?

    Yes, we do!

    Is this place dog friendly?

They have outdoor seating that allows dogs.

For parties of seven or more people, is gratuity automatically added?

    Yes you can.

Do they have a private room? And if so how many can it hold roughly?

I haven't seen a private room either. Everything is open and most tables are communal.

Drinks had almost a "watered down" flavor to them, not sure if the bartender was just having an off night or if they got too busy to maintain standards or what happened, but it wasn't a good beverage and certainly not worth the price. Even at 7pm it was packed and could definitely tell people had been there for awhile as there were multiple 20 something year old guys and gals stumbling around, so I guess they found the drinks to their liking (or more likely had so many they really couldn't ascertain the difference). Better drinks and better crowd control and Darling will be just fine. But as I mentioned, they were already packed stem to stern at 7pm so my guess is they're doing just fine already.

The person who states "This is most likely the best restaurant in the world" has to be beyond sheltered; It's not even the best restaurant in the _neighborhood_. The main thing you must understand: the food is "inspired" by Indian food, but it does _not_ taste like Indian food. I suspect its been intentionally watered down to be palatable to milquetoast palettes. We ordered three small plates and the butter chicken as the main. Chicken Tikka Taco. This was greasy to the touch, with chicken and cheese. The dominate flavor is the cheddar cheese. They were trying to be creative but the ultimate effect was similar to a frozen burrito with cheddar cheese and chile verde. If you eat this, close your eyes and imagine a microwaved, frozen burrito..you'll see what I mean. Tandoori Avocado. This features an avocado that's been warmed and covered in a chili sauce. There's a green hummus and a fried dosa crisp. While it sounds wild, once the flavors are mixed together on the plate...the overall effect is that of a green-goddess salad. It's not bad, but its not mind bending. Octopus Xec Xec. The octopous was was cooked nicely and there was a tomato based sauce. Unlike something you'd find in India, it is _not_ heavy on the spices, or tang, or nuttiness. It's just very _neutral_. Butter Chicken. This was the biggest disappointment. I've never had a butter chicken curry that tasted so close to tomato soup in my life. I've eaten tons of butter chicken in my life, hundreds of Indian restaurants. I cannot imagine this was not an intentional choice...It was extremely disappointing. Also, the choice to use chicken breast was poor. Inevitably you get overcooked, chewy chicken pieces. They must have chosen this because (like Disneyland) sometimes you water things down to make it more popular with less adventurous people. The customers next to us (not Indian) kept slathering it on their rice and saying "I can't believe I didn't use to like Indian food!" -- that told me all I needed to know. BTW the naan is insanely bad. They stretched it very thin and then crisped it to the point that it breaks like a cracker. In what world is naan not pillowy and soft? Personally, I was really disappointed with this experience -- the other reviews on yelp are absolute insanity IMO. I know there's a hype train right now -- but someday people will realize this place is not it.
