The sandwiches here are pretty good, but I've gone in many occasions and have heard the manager yelling, using profanity towards, or just talking down on employees. No matter what they have done wrong no employees deserve to be treated like that. Even while talking to a customer, such as myself, she has been hostile. It's sad because this is one of my favorite places to go but with people like this in charge this restaurant won't last much longer. read more

Guys! If you want an amazing meat filled sandwich, this is the place. I use to attend Fresno State and Deli Delicious was the place to go after class. They only use to be in the Fresno and Clovis area. I was so excited when one opened in Modesto. They cater, always listen to your requests and have great employees. We go almost once a week. The food is prepped well and they always check to see if you are satisfied with your food. Not only is it super good and fresh but you get your money's worth. Super clean area and great service. The pastrami was tasty, however, I have never before received such a small portion of pastrami on a pastrami sandwich. So, since I judge a sandwich shop by it's pastrami sandwich, I probably won't be returning. read more

First time here and i'm happy i stopped by! i ordered the Monterey Ranch Chicken & Jack (#36) recommended to me by, i presume was the owner (or maybe just the cashier) Harry; who was so nice! I forgot to add avocado to my sandwich and Harry was kind enough to give me as much as i needed, free of charge. The sandwiches my friend and i ordered were not only good but they had a good portion to it as well. We also got an order of the fries that were nicely seasoned and crispy. I took my mother here for her first time on Thursday 11/30 got home only to find hair in our sandwich it made me so sick to my stomach. I called to speak with the manager and was told he was not in, I asked for his name and was told they didn't know!! Called Friday and was told the same thing except they gave me a manager name of Henry..called this morning explaining the situation for the 3rd time was told I didn't call on Thursday and the young lady said she was working that day and I never called as I was trying to explain she blurted out your not getting any money back I never asked for money I simply wanted to speak to the manager and of course explain how rude his staff is and how I paid for my food and didn't even get to eat it!!! Ask for no cheese? They put cheese on it. Ask for sprouts? No sprouts on sandwich. Ask for it to be toasted? They say "we toast all of our sandwiches" no you don't. Very disappointed! We ordered 3 sandwiches, and only 1 of them was correct. Two of the sandwiches were supposed to have bacon on them but they didn't. They got the cheese wrong too. There was no one else there, so it's not like the sandwich maker was busy. Very expensive for what we got. I called when we got home, and they really could've cared less about the screw up. Decided to try this place after a recommendation from a friend. So glad we did! My husband and I shared a 12in #38, with beer batter fries. It was delicious. The sandwich was big, very fresh, loaded with meat and fresh veggies and the fries were great. So glad we shared one order instead of ordering individual sandwiches, cause we were stuffed. I went there today and my son ordered the #42 and he didn't like it. I went back and told the manager I think his name was Harry to make my son a different sandwich. He said no problem and made my son a ham sandwich. He was really nice and didn't argue or say anything back. I loved his customer service and the store was very clean. He came to our table and apologize even though it was not his fault and he didn't have to do that. This is my second time and this place always make me want to come back. Restaurant was very clean and the food was fresh. The wait is minimal, we were there at lunch time on a Saturday, it was busy and I expected a long wait, boy was I wrong. I was skeptical with how fast it was, but it was exactly as ordered, fries were hot and sandwiches were perfect. It was bagged up nicely and not thrown together like other sandwich shops. I used to love coming here because their sandwiches are so amazing, but the last few times I've been in it has been SO HOT! I asked the employees and they told me their air was out and that it would be fixed very soon. I went in yesterday and it still hasn not been fixed! I walked in and was sweating immediately! I had to get it to go. I feel awful that the employees have to work in such conditions it is horrible!
