Parking was a bit of a hassle. We found a structure that was $4 for 20 mins but by the time we got back, it charged us 15 -___- not a fan of that. There's street meters but they only take coins. Found another structure charging $1 or so when we left. Definitely going to look for that one next time! Inside was open, simple yet beautiful and so clean. The staff was super friendly and hit it off with my best friend immediately. They were so patient with us (as it was our first time) and packaged everything so wonderfully. Considerate enough to ask if we wanted the boxes taped up or some plates and utensils to eat it there... which we had to!! It looked so good we couldn't wait another moment!! When I tell you... the crunch and flakes coming off the croissants??? Ugh to die for. THE TEXTURE OF THE MACAROONS!!!! Man. Matcha and pistachio croissant - 4/5 only because I felt it was weak in pistachio flavor. The color was gorgeous and soft inside Chocolate croissant - 4/5 only because it had way too much chocolate filling inside for my liking. I wish it was more spaced out so each bite was evenly enjoyable. Instead, I had some bare croissant and then a bit of explosive chocolate goodness (probably not the worst problem to have lol) Macaroons - don't remember the flavor. For sure pistachio and the pink one was chocolate earl grey I think? I rate pistachio 3/5. It was tasty but tasted more like French vanilla ice cream from baskin robins lol. The chocolate earl grey was a 4/5 for me because the texture was spot on and so delectable Everything here looked aesthetically pleasing and had a flavor to match. I can't wait to come back to try other items and maybe even a coffee! Delight Pastry has been popping up on my Yelp activity feed lately, so I decided to pay them a visit. After seeing their logo I'm certain I've had their delicious treats at some events. Delight Pastry is owned by a mother & daughter duo - Lily Azar (Pastry Chef) & Sarah Hashemi. Iranian born Lily makes everything from scratch with organic & locally sourced ingredients. Her creations often feature flavors that are prominent in Persian cuisine. The shop is adorable - emitting a warm & cozy vibe. There are plenty of places to sit, relax, and snap IG worthy photos. Everything in the case was aesthetically pleasing. However, I was curious to try the Spiral Croissant - a crispy, circular, swirled croissant filled with pastry cream. Lily dedicated a lot of time and research into perfecting these complex baked delicacies and she definitely succeeded. The gentleman behind the counter was so nice and helpful. I ordered the Maple Pecan. It was golden brown with lots of flaky layers topped with a little bit of icing and toasted pecans. The outer edge was crispy giving way to a soft & chewy center. Hidden inside was a Maple pastry cream. It was slightly sweet and a delightful surprise. The toasted pecans also added a nice flavor. I could taste the quality in every bite. Lattes and brunch items are also available in addition to custom cakes for any occasion. I love Delight Pastry's. This is my go to when I have a heavy load of laptop work to do. This cafe is WiFi accessible, in a calming environment. Pastries are delicious, but their Pistachio Latte is a favorite of mine. Staff is friendly and welcoming, which is comforting. The only downside is the parking situation. Delights is located in busy old town Pasadena. Meter parking is usually not available, therefore you'll need to park in the parking structure. Delights does not validate. However, definitely worth the visit. read more

My husband found this place and was craving some pastries so we decided to give it a try. We went this past Saturday and got a little worried that it might be crowded... but it was actually right before the morning rush. First off, the decor is super cute and would definitely come back with my girlfriends. Such a cute place to have breakfast/brunch and catch up. The display of pastries is beautiful and it was so hard for me to choose which ones to get. We got a bunch of pastries and a matcha latte with oat milk. The strawberry cruffin and almond croissant was my favorite. The matcha latte was good and not an overpowering matcha flavor. We will definitely be back if we are in Pasadena again. Came by to pay a visit after being inspired by SGV CM! I have a sweet tooth and enjoy trying cakes. Love croissants, especially savory ones. Park in Public Parking next to the Armory and walk past two street lights. 2 Hours for a Dollar. Delight is a blink and you will miss bakery store, offering a wide variety of pastries to satisfy any craving. My favorite was the Strawberry Cruffin! It is a Danish sprinkled with sugar that tastes like a donut and it has cream stuffed inside and strawberry jam on top. The cakes are on the denser side. The Strawberry Sphere had lemon filling, which was okay but the texture was thick versus light and airy. The Opera Cake had strong notes of coffee and again very dense. I would describe it as a paste. 3/5 Pricing wise can run $5.75 to $7.50 per item. The flavor combinations croissants, spiral croissants, and cube croissants are what makes Delight well known. I am not a fan of spiral croissants or brioches so I passed this time. The store has a slight fruit fly issue when I went and they did use fans to mitigate it, but they definitely landed on the pastries that had pineapple. I am sure in the morning the fruit flies are less of a problem. read more

How does Delight not have a line wrapped around the corner?! I came first thing Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised. However, I couldn't decide which of the goodies to get! IG sent me to Delight for the spiral croissant (or supremes on the East Coast), but I wanted to get EVERYTHING. I ended up trying the: *Almond Croissant: I eat a fair amount of Almond Croissants and this was probably one of the best I've had in the states! Generously filled. No almond extract-y taste because it looks like they use a high quality almond paste, etc. A MUST GET. *Matcha Pistachio Croissant: Really interesting flavor and visually stunning but it was pretty light on either flavor. And to be honest -- the almond croissant was just so good that this one couldn't hold a flame. Skip it if you have to make hard decisions! *Spiral Croissant: I don't know why I was surprised that these are filled?! But it was my first time having these! I ordered all the flavors but only had the stomach space to try the chocolate one and it was DIVINE. The outside isn't as flaky & crispy as a regular croissant but it was dang good! *Kouign-Amann - I was pleasantly surprised by Delight's version! I'm used to eating Dominique Ansel's KA (aka the DKA) which is almost like a muffin because of the height. The one here is pretty flat and compacted but it was soo flaky and delish. The sugar was perfectly caramelized and crystalized almost like the way a Palmier eats. ANOTHER MUST TRY! I'll definitely be back when I'm in town to try ALLLL the goodies here. read more

Review is mainly for a BIRTHDAY CAKE. PLACE: After researching the area in Pasadena (a bit last minute) I selected Delight Pastry for a 50th b-day cake based on the reviews and photos. I was excited to try everything. PRODUCT(S): I decided on the BERRY DELIGHT cake one of their most popular birthday cakes. I also picked up the popular RASPBERRY CROISSANT. While the presentation and exterior design of the cake was beautiful the interior quality and taste was TERRIBLE!! Then came the croissant which was almost just as bad. PROBLEM(S): Ok so the croissant was DRY / stale but I think there still might be potential there given that I did have it the next day. But the cake... The cake was not only dry and powdery but there was such a sad and stingy inside layer of cream and fruit (6 blueberries) I almost cried, what a disappointment and waste of time (them making it and us picking it up) and money. Their motto "Delight in the first bite" was more like "Disappointment and the last bite". PRICING: As of October 16, 2025, this 6 inch cake will set you back $50, and the croissant about $7. PEOPLE: The staff working were ok. Not extra friendly but not rude. PROMOTE: Nope. I could not recommend this place before trying other offerings elsewhere first (at least for b-day cakes). Found this place by accident while my family and I were dining (or the lack of) at Jumak next door. It's basically connected to the place and shares the same restrooms in the back. Pastries are quite pricey but does seem to use good ingredients. All the items I ordered were quite good. The bread pudding was excellent and definitely tasted some rum in there. Good amount of sweetness and not eggy. Two croissants I ordered were really good as well - Matcha Pistachio and Nutella. Both were flaky and soft, and flavors were spot on. Due to the high price, I was going to give four stars, but I'm upgrading to five stars because the cashier didn't suggest a tip. From now on, that's going to make a difference in my rating of a place, because I am just sick and tired of current tipping trend. read more

This is my second time purchasing here and I have one word.. WOW. I've had the pleasure to interact with the owner and the baker and they are the most wonderful people to speak with. My observation on the location: The location is very clean and smells clean when you walk in. It is an open concept with a beautiful and clean display of the food items. On today's visit 07/02/25: The owner did the kindest gesture and that is what will make her stand out from competitors . I went in to purchase croissants for my family. After reviewing and choosing my items the owner gifted me the far right bottom. It was so kind of her! The size of the croissants are larger than the Costco ones. I put a comparison of my hand to compare how big they are. Now to the good part.. the pastries! These are the freshest, flakiest, most amazing pastries I've ever had! They melt in your mouth! I was really excited to try this spot out! Unfortunately my experience was less than ideal... we found a pretty long hair visibly sticking out of the pecan tart ($7.50) I ordered :( !!! They did offer to replace the item but still ... kinda kills your appetite. Also got the lychee and rose croissant (a whooping $6.50!) , great visually but couldn't taste either of those flavors ... and the spiral chocolate croissant ($7.50), interesting concept but wasn't my favorite. 3.5 stars I bought 3 of their pastries on a Saturday morning. I was most excited for the spiral croissant. I chose the passion fruit one and when I got home to try it .... I was disappointed. The pastry tasted very dry and stale, like it was old and not fresh. I was expecting it to be flakier. My friend said she put hers into the toaster to warm it up and it tasted better. In terms of quality I think there deserve the same high rating I previously gave. I'm revising the overall score down though because they are really inconsistent with availability. Multiple times we have come early (8 am) only to find that they already sold out of the kouign amman and ham and cheese croissant, with no plans to make anymore the rest of the day. We were told they bake everything once a day and when they are out, that's it, even if in those situations they are still operating for another 8-9 hours. I don't know if it's because they make so much other items but at least with the ham and cheese croissant, those are popular enough/easy enough to either many more to begin with, or do another batch. I still recommend going here but wish they would improve their planning so they aren't sold out so early in the day so often. read more

Had lunch next door and noticed this cute little bakery, we stopped by after we ate and grabbed some dessert Togo. The waitress was super friendly and quick and we were shocked to find out this place had been opened for 2 years and I've never noticed! It's super welcoming inside, very bright& white, so great place to dine in as well. We ordered some macaroons and a fruit tart. The fruit tart was refreshing, loved the custard filling and the tart was still nice and crunchy, even after bringing it home. The macarons were hit and miss, we got one of each flavor available, total 5, 2 were unfortunately really stale. The funfetti and vanilla flavor were more memorable of the bunch. read more

I happened to see an article talking about this place and decided to give it a try. It's on the side streets. Unfortunately there's no street parking. I ordered the matcha pistachio croissant and another danish. I went there on a weekend after the afternoon. There's not a lot of choices at the time. Matcha pistachio croissant - more on the sweeter side due to matcha. The croissant itself is not crunchy. I also don't like the artificial coloring that they have inside the croissant. The outside of the croissant looks beautiful though. I also ordered the pistachio raspberry (?) danish. I don't really enjoy it since it's made of filo dough. We were visiting Pasadena and we wanted a sweet treat and after searching old town we came across Delight Pastry. The layout is inviting and they had some free samples of a waffle that was delicious and alleviated any concerns that this place was just all looks. The person at the register was very nice, helpful, answered all of my questions. We decided to try a pain du chocolate and a strawberry cruffin. They were both tasty and sweet. The Pain du chocolate is a perfect combination of chocolate and a buttery croissant. I have only seen cruffins up in San Francisco, and they are cross between a croissant and a muffin. I had not tried Strawberry before. It was pretty good, but could have had some more filling inside, the ratio seemed to be off and was mostly cruffin. They had plenty of items on their menu to choose from and when I am back in Pasadena I would try them again and try some different items. read more

Always love coming here!!! If you can't already tell from my profile history, I am a bakery fiend and have been coming here since they opened last year! Wonderful quality and perfectly instagram-able baked goods with an interior filled with hues of white and blush pink greet you when you walk in. Food: Always lovely, always delicious. The hype is 1000% true about the spiral croissants. Get the chocolate one, I promise you won't be sorry. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything, but if you're still on the fence any one of the fabulous people behind the counter will kindly recommend a treat for you. The cafe is located in old town Pasadena. Easy parking in one of the nearby structures ($1 for 2hrs). Sooo many items to select from...pastries, desserts, drinks...sweet and savory. And it's so cute inside. They have a nice IG-worthy backdrop. I tried the opera cake and the raspberry pistachio danish. Both so delicious. Been wanting to go here because of their spiral croissants! Went and bought a pistachio spiral croissant and a napoleon. Croissant was really good. Buttery and flaky! Pistachio is my favorite so can't complain. Wasn't able to try the napoleon since one of my kids ate it. lol Service was good. The young lady was really friendly and helpful. I was greeted by an employee behind the counter. After looking at the many baked goods in the display case, I ended up getting: Raspberry Croissant, $5.50- My husband picked this but I didn't have any. He really liked it and thought the croissant was very good. Raspberry Cheesecake, $7.50- A beautiful presentation, I thought the cheesecake was nice and dense and worked well with the raspberries. Fruit tart, $7.50- I purchased this for my mother and so I did not eat any. Cupcake, $3.50- This cupcake is pretty. The cake itself has a nice light and fluffy crumb. The frosting on top is heavy but I think worked well with the crumb of the cupcake. Rose and pistachio mousse, $7.50- I picked this just because it looked so pretty. The mousse was nice and smooth and had a very nice flavor of rose and pistachio. Of the items that I had tried, I think this was the best. ----------------------------- (Total= $31) Service was friendly and there is a nice selection of great desserts that you can choose from. In search for the best kougian Amann in the greater SGV area, I stopped by Delight Pastry. Unfortunately they were out of the plain kougian Amann so I decided to try the cherry almond flavor. I've also read so many amazing reviews about their pistachio and rose cake so I had to go for them both! YOLO! The pistachio and rose cake was absolutely divine. Yelpers you were on point with this one! The flavor is subtle and not overpowering but enough that you want more. It's a good mix of pistachio and a hint of rose, not too floral. Now on to the orgasmic texture. The outer frosting is more like buttery mousse and the inside layer is an Angel cake texture, followed by a jam center. This cake is so bomb. The cherry and almond kougian Amann was packed with filling of cherry and almond. If you're into baked goods stuffed with goodness, this is your jam. Unfortunately it's not mine. The kougian Amann was crispy like a croissant but it lacked the buttery glaze that I'm familiar with in a kougian Amann. It was a bit dry and not buttery and rich. It was a bit drier than a croissant and might have been over baked. Nonetheless, it was still delicious. The flavors of the cherry and almond were really good. It was my first time coming in and I had a really unpleasant experience. The cashier with the bangs has such nasty attitude. Every question I would ask she huff and puffed and gave off such a negative vibe, attitude and energy. I ordered a chocolate croissant and a decaf Americano and asked her what flavors of syrup y'all have and she gave me a dirty look and told me why don't you tell me what flavors you're looking for and I can tell you if we have it we have lots of flavors. I even asked if she was good and she just looked at me with an irritated face. and I still continued with. I hope you have a good rest of your day. Normally, I don't leave big reviews like this on a place but I work in the coffee industry so when I see this type of behavior happening, I'm definitely gonna call it out. Nobody deserves to walk in to an establishment where they are paying customer and is met with that type of behavior. This isn't what anybody should be met with this early in the morning. Ordered a custom cake 2 weeks out and they not only took my order (most places require 4 weeks notice) they communicated with me many times to make sure all the details were correct. Not only did I get my custom cake for my daughter's 18th bday here (!) I did so blindly. I've never tasted anything from here and I am so glad!! They exceeded my expectations.
