DTW McNamara Terminal is a Delta hub with multiple Delta Sky Clubs. This one is on the left after going down the escalators past security, across from Gate A38. Checking in was fast and easy, since it wasn't busy at 8:30 PM on a Wednesday. I only had about 15 minutes, so I enjoyed a bit of the broccoli cheddar soup, which was pretty creamy with lots of finely chopped broccoli. The texture was just perfect -- not too chunky nor runny. The coloring was good too, golden yellow base with fresh green broccoli. I had some carrots (chopped into long and thin pieces like fries) with regular hummus, which made a tasty snack. The lounge is spacious with lots of tables and chairs. There's a small hot food bar (with green beans, chicken forester, etc.), large cold food bar (salads, hummus, deli meats & cheeses) along with soup and coffee stations and a full bar. Food was pretty good today, and I wish I had more time to enjoy more of it. read more

Delta needs to put a sign at the entrance: "No Steerage Class Guests Allowed". I was unceremoniously asked to leave this lounge today because of a new Delta policy - lower class Delta flyers are no longer permitted in the club, despite an AmEx Platinum card. Fortunately, a flight attendant took pity on me and gave me a small bag of Sun Chips to tide me over from my missed lunch due to back-to-back delayed Delta flights. Ok Delta, I see you. This lounge is spacious and clean with some pretty good food and selection. Not sure if it depends on the time and what meals they serve but I was here during lunch time I guess and they had sandwiches, wraps, pot roast with mash potatoes and roasted broccoli. They also have a full bar, juice, soda, coffee and dessert! The bathroom is also nice and clean. A really nice lounge to hang and wait for that delayed flight! High five! read more

The food was subpar compared to other lounges I've been to at other airports and other airlines' clubs. The coney dog bar was unique but other than that the chicken lacked flavor and the rest of the 'entree' options were cold sandwich or pasta salad orzo or kale salad. Great place to rest while you wait for your flight. The food was not as good as the Amex Centurion Lounges, but still decent with warm and cold food options. Strong free WiFi is a plus. Ambiance was just ok, not luxurious. Overall, a decent airport lounge. read more

I fly Delta and use Sky Clubs all over. This was one of the dirtier ones I have ever experienced. Seemed to be enough workers just little cleaning. I took a shower and the attendant girl went in after me was out in less than a minute. She had a towel and bottle in her hand but no way anything got cleaned. The floor also had shoe print marks when I went in....Can't clean a shower that quick! read more

I love Delta Sky Clubs but good Lord do they need more marked, gluten free options. Airports are already impossible to get food at for a Celiac like me. When I went I had to wait to ask staff what was gluten free other than the green beans. That's always a hassle having to explain what Celiac is, then wait for staff to talk to the chef who then has to check ingredients. Glad the cheesecake cups were gluten free! Place is very bright and new looking. This seems to be one of the nicer lounges I've been to. I liked that you could wave your hand to open doors here because of the updated technology! Not the best delta lounge I've ever been. The food was lukewarm and there were only a couple options. They did have some jalapeño chips that were absolute delicious. The decor I guess was Detroit themed but so so weird. Bathrooms had very nice smelling hand soap. The staff was incredible and very friendly. read more

My wife and I experienced our first Sky Club experience on our honeymoon and have made it an absolute must before every flight now. This Sky Club serves as our 'Home Club' and we have always enjoyed the space, food & beverage, clean bathrooms, and relaxing atmosphere before a flight. The window seats looking down onto the concourse is one of my favorite experiences as we comfortably wait to head down. The service at the bar no matter the time of day has always been 5-star (whiskey ginger, please) and the variety and quality of food has always hit the mark. Stopping into the Delta Sky Club takes a bite out of the chaotic airport experience and puts you in the right state of mind for a relaxing flight. Check it out! read more

I fly back and fourth every month from LAX to DTW so I visit this lounge often. The Food selection is pretty gross unfortunately. Doesn't even come close to the quality or selection at other locations. The lounge is overall comfortable and clean, but a bit dated. The bathrooms are not good, and neither is the food, which I'd say is the main reasons for coming. Staff does seem friendly as other members have stated. For an airport with five delta lounges, at least the main one should be leaps and bounds better than this. read more

Typically hop in the Sky Lounge when I travel here at DTW. Always enjoy the bartenders. There usually plenty of food so if you are a sky miles member or AMEX holder I would recommend relaxing in the sky lounge. I prefer to the one at gate A43. read more

After a long international flight, nothing was more welcome than a visit to the Delta Sky Club. As a longtime resident of the Detroit area, I had often gazed up at the second floor sky club with curiosity and was thrilled to be able to check it out recently. After being checked in on the first floor, we took an escalator up to the main level. On that spacious level were plenty of tables, armchairs, and work books, as well as space for a toddler to run around. You can sign up for a shower, which I was tempted to do to refresh but I deferred. The food was decent and was kept well-replenished. I was also happy to see options for different dietary needs, including gluten free and dairy free. I made my own sparkling lemonade in the beverage area by mixing sparkling water with lemonade for a refreshing treat. A bar offered a variety of complimentary adult beverages, but the best thing they served up for us was some milk for the kiddo. Overall this was a perfect stopover on a long trip, and I'm so glad I got to see what was behind the windows on the second floor of the main terminal! read more

One of the highlights of my experience was the presence of multiple fireplaces throughout the lounge. Not only did they add a cozy and intimate ambiance, but they also provided the perfect spot to relax and unwind before my flight. Whether I was catching up on emails or enjoying a quiet moment with a good book, the crackling fire and comfortable seating made it feel like a home away from home. Note to management for improvement:: only 3 guest were in the lounge when I arrived. Not one of the 5 members standing in the lounge spoke. I'm am going to just start by saying the "Ambassador in training" working the floor was incredible. I have been sitting here for 3 hrs waiting for a connecting flight since breakfast and she has been non stop cleaning up tables and taking plates/cups politely from occupied tables/seats. Turns out her shift ends at 1130 am. Delta. If you are reading this it's Easter Sunday 4/9/23. It's about 1130am and it's still pretty quiet but a few extra people have arrived. The lounge is directly across another Delta lounge and you can see each other. The Delta red tram is at the end so it's kind of fun. The lounge is also right at the entrance of concourse A -near my boarding gate. I am grateful for that. The food spread is good and the area constantly wiped and clean. I happened to drop 2 pieces of my salad and it was almost immediately wiped away as I was still standing there trying to figure what I was going to do with my hands holding a plate and utensils. The OCD side of me absolutely LOVED this! I have been to a few Delta lounges and I have to say this is so far my favorite one. San Diego's wasn't bad either. read more

We had to take the inside monorail to this particular sky club, which worked out since my terminal was right below the sky club. The day we went, it was very hot as if the AC was not working properly. It did not help that the club had floor-to-ceiling windows where the sun was coming in even with blinds being drawn down. They had some minor food options at this club. read more

Her name was Dee in the lounge at A68 and she doesn't deserve to have her job. She was very condescending, unprofessional rude and not helpful at all. Stay away! read more

Plenty of seating available, you will never be walking around looking for a place to sit or have to wait on people that are exiting. Food and drinks are always great. This is the big sky club in DTW, with a central location in the middle of Terminal A. The showers are still closed due to COVID, but they are serving buffet style food again like they were before the pandemic. There is also a bar with bartender. Sometimes they have free samples of chocolates down by the checkin (scored a few Toblerone bars there a few months ago.) They tend to have slightly different food selections than the other lounges in DTW, and sometimes more variety or better choices. I recently had a dark and delicious chocolate chia pudding and tiramisu that were delicious and paired together perfectly. Made me rethink chia pudding and conclude that I have to try making a recipe like the one they used sometime. Staff are always diligent and polite, and keep the lounge clean. read more

Alaska airlines screwed me hard so I booked my flight home from Pittsburgh with you. And I am sure glad I did. Leg room!! About 2" more than United and or Alaska...... I know, I am 6'3" and I need my space. Free movies are available to play in the head rest seat ahead of you..... They are at eye level. And that....that is a Complete life saver and much appreciated for and by this claustrophobic guy..... Like all airlines, the windows are located at chest level so I can't see out them with out wrenching the neck. That is pretty much my only complaint other than the food is priced a bit to high for the amount/quality of food you actually get. This is my go to airline for now. I'm not a weekly flyer... But I fly enough to know what's what. read more

This review is an aggregate of experiences at this sky club over the years. I've been flying/traveling during the majority of the pandemic and connecting through Detroit is the better of the options for me. This club is located near gate A38 in terminal A. Plenty of room and popular with Delta Diamonds to sit near the windows overlooking the concourse and take pics of the Spanx shop below...not me but hey, whatever makes you happy! Service is always great. Plenty of food options and seating is plentiful. Its not a mind-blowing experience but its not one of the crushingly small clubs in ATL that make you feel like you are sitting in a closet. This is the sky club above gate A17 area. It is very clean, very quiet and typically has few people in it which is a welcome break from crowded planes. There is a friendly bartender in the back and Delta has job a tremendous job over the last few years revamping their food offerings, today there is a strawberry and feta salad over greens, a quinoa and dried fruit salad, tomato-cucumber salad with shrimp as well as soups and a couple hot items.
