There was a day when professionals and road warriors could depend on an elegant lounge as a well-deserved reprieve. Those days are clearly gone. Overcrowded, noisy, kids running around, mediocre hospital cafeteria level food, gross bathrooms - urine on the floor under every urinal, water splashed all over the counters (pictured), and just an all-around inferior experience. Part of it is just the degeneration of the general public with many classless people dressed like they just left the gym - part of it Delta having no pride in their lounges. If anyone with a credit card can enter, it's no longer exclusive. If no Delta employees care, it's no longer enjoyable. read more

Came to this lounge for breakfast with my hubby as a pit stop on our way to Chicago. Loved the ambiance and sweet service from Alina especially. Breakfast--was a little underwhelming. Eggs with chives were super lumpy and without flavor. Other options were: French baguette with lox, mini egg salad sandwiches, yogurt and non-dairy yogurt with fruit, fresh fruit, hot oatmeal, and bagels/muffins/pastries. Lunch--by far more tastier than breakfast. Our favorite was the chicken parmesan and penne Alfredo. Other options were: caprese skewers, prosciutto wrapped melon, fresh cut up fruit, pita bites with hummus and spinach/artichoke dip, fresh salad fixings, turkey and cheddar sliders, roasted pepper Boursin baguette, and chicken noodle soup/broccoli cheddar soup. Drinks--self serve soda machine, self serve cappuccino machine, lemonade bar, select juices, and a full service bar (with certain drinks that are complimentary). We're so glad we had time to have some lunch, because this changed our whole mind about this lounge. I also appreciated the wonderfully clean restrooms and Grown Alchemist hand soap was a nice touch. Almost always miserably crowded, and when 2 other lounges were closed with no advance notice, it was insane. After waiting in a long line to get in, the food was picked over and underwhelming. Finding a seat was almost impossible. Travel is stressful enough, so I decided to upgrade my skymiles membership this year and treat myself to lounge access. Can't say I will keep it at this level next year. read more

very small but well appointed Delta SkyClub, next to Gate A43 at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. It is one of five Sky Clubs in the Main Terminal (McNamara): a different philosophy to create more smaller Delta lounges spread across rather than a couple of large ones. McNamara Terminal (named after the county executive who oversaw the expansion of Detroit Metro Wayne County Airport) has three concourses, with the main one (A) being quite long in length. A monorail (Express Tram with three stops) runs the length of it, and two Delta SkyClubs (including this one) is located very close to the middle stop once you exit the downward escalators. Because it was a Saturday, two of the five lounges close early (around 1 pm), making this location a bit crowded. But we were able to find three seats close together and were able to enjoy the complementary refreshments and food served. It's a really nice lounge, the size of it being similar to the many Priority Pass lounges. Because of its size, the lunch buffet was smaller, but still had the choices of sandwiches, fresh fruits and veggies, along with meatloaf and mashed potatoes being the main entree and a self-serve Coke soda fountain. The meat loaf was served as single servings (single servings prepared elsewhere and heated up here). It was quite good. The small bar was fully stocked. Small washrooms, with only two stalls in the men's. As mentioned, there are 5 Sky Clubs in all and it is worth looking at the Delta App to see how crowded each one is, before choosing. That being said, the App did not indicate that two of the lounges were closed, instead showing them as 'Not Busy'. It did list the times though, so one could figure out that it had closed...but could probably show the 'busyness' graphic a bit differently for the lounges that are not open. read more

Hands down this Skyclub had the best food compared to other Delta sky clubs! There was fresh vegetables, hot chicken dishes, some type of Italian dishes, several different salads. Everything was fresh and very tastefully seasoned. Service was really good. It was very busy though so we had to wait for tables to open up. The ambiance was very chill except for that one loud guy at the bar! Ughhh read more

Wy wife and I had a loyover in Detroit and this smaller Delta was closest to the gate. I walked in and ordered a Laginitas IPA from the nice bartender and he even had some hard seltzer, which I grabbed as my last drink A nice pineapple type. There are about 50 places to sit and the had a wonderful green bean dish, some meatballs, lots of spicy pastromi, which I loved. They also had about four different kins of hummus and a type of pita cracker for dipping. The drawback was our flight was delayed and I would have liked more updates on it. Average airline lounge with above average food buffet choices including sandwiches cheese, meat and crackers . They also had Heineken 0.0 for a complimentary beverage choice. Would be great if Delta put in a Delta One lounge in Detroit as I like the Admirals club flagship lounge in Chicago better read more

Located in DTW Concourse A Gate 43, it's their 5th and newest Sky Club to open here, Detroit is a Delta hub, and Sky Clubs tend to be very busy. A modern clean space, appealing to a younger frequent flyer segment, every new delta lounge is also an art gallery, with great seating options, showers, free fast wifi, work spaces, espresso drinks, and a bar with top shelf wine and spirits, food catering by award winning local chefs, and more. Though is it a very nice Sky Club, the location is going to make this one the busiest of all DTW lounges, adding the lack of direct runway views, makes it less appealing, and not a place I would like to hangout for extended periods of time, specially if my gate is not immediately next to it, the older lounges offer the same food and amenities, including views of the tarmac, and are less crowded. Of all the Skyclubs, this has to be one of the smaller facilities at DTW. The bar and food line are mainly connected, with limited seating compared to the other Skyclubs. Service and staff are very good, especially with plates and utensil removal. The restrooms are very clean but small. 4 flights of stairs if you don't take the elevator. read more

I was able to get to the airport earlier than expected so decided to stop by for refreshments as I have to pay for food in the plane. It was my first time to this specific location during lunch hours so I was a bit excited. Checking in was not a problem as they had multiple staffs welcoming the guests. Not like what I have been hearing from the news, overcrowded and had to wait in line etc. The food, at first I did not realise the lunch menus were on the side, like to the wall when the snack/salad bar was in thr center where everybody could see. So make sure to spot the small lunch menu bar hiding by the wall. The lunch menu was really good. Beef stew was amazing to me. I don't have beef stew that often so maybe that's why? But the meat was super tender. Garlic roasted green beans were good, too. Too bad I got myself a bit full from eating from the salad/snack bar. Oh the baked potatoes soup from the snak/salad bar was also delicious! read more

Always convenient. Always staffed with polite, helpful staff. Even if you have only 30 minutes, I head into a SkyClub for a quick snack and beverage. I've never raced around DTW to verify this, but I believe the food is the same across SkyClubs. There are multiple seating, arrangements to accommodate individuals, couples, and groups. There are ample electrical plugs and/or USB ports to plug in to. Rarely have I found a seat where these plugs don't work. read more

Another solid Delta SkyClub 4 star experience. This is one I'd not previously visited. What can you say about all clubs? Pretty much the same though I found the food here to be a step better than some. Excellent choices all around, including plenty of vegan options which I appreciate even though I'm not one... just prefer to dine that way when travelling. Possibly a bit smaller than it could be and it was really packed on a Wednesday around lunch time. Seems all the rules Delta keeps imposing isn't keeping customers away. The newer of the multiple Delta Sky Clubs at McNamara, this Sky Club is very sleek and well designed. Still providing the treasured window seats looking down at the main concourse and the same great food & beverage offerings, clean bathrooms, and great service. The only drawback here is the size! It can get a little tight up here when it is busy and it fills up pretty fast depending on when you travel. With a young child now we find this one a little too cramped as we get space-conscious for our little one to be to roam. Worth checking over the original, larger Club located across the way if size is not a concern to you and your party. read more

Best Sky Club in DTW. Why? Actual plates and stainless steel utensils. Food is better too. Art is more in keeping with newer clubs. Have a feeling it will eventually be a Delta One lounge. I would love to give this place a 4.5 star -- apparently this is the newest Delta Sky Club in DTW and ironically, it's also the smallest one, but it's definitely small and mighty. I had a layover here from DFW and was awaiting my flight to Philly, so I decided to check this out during my layover. DTW has five different Sky Clubs, and according to the bartender, she says this is the best one. This Sky Club is the only one that also has a full bar and the only one that uses actual plates. Size-wise, it's pretty small. Quite possibly the smallest Sky Club I've been to. But the interior is extremely modern and it wasn't too crowded when I went so it was really nice. I arrived during lunch hours so the hot foods they were serving were meatballs, lasagna and steamed broccoli. All three dishes were actually really good and some of the best food I've had in any Sky Club. I was able to get some work done waiting for my flight and this really is a nice Sky Club. Enjoyed my stay here -- don't know when or if I will ever return to DTW, but I'll definitely have this one in the books to return to when/if I do! read more

This club is brand new and is across from the main A38 club. Very underwhelmed. Small capacity, poor design with every chair facing another customer. Lack of physical distancing, weird mirror walls. The only pleasant thing is the restrooms. But they lack showers due to lack of space. The giant windows that overlook the A38 main club make you feel as if you're in an aquarium. The food selections were meh. The Coke machine was an improvement over other DTW clubs that have a legacy NW World Club dispenser that can't fit glasses under spout. read more
