We came in hoping for a lively night out with good food -- the photos looked promising, but the reality didn't match. Everything was below-average at best. The zucchini flowers were so heavily fried they might as well have been mozzarella sticks -- no flavor, just grease. Clams casino? All you could taste was bacon. The snapper special was bone-dry and bland, just coated in breadcrumbs with zero seasoning. Even the espresso came without sugar. I own a food website and wanted to take pictures of the entrees but honestly couldn't. Our waiter was very kind and friendly, which is the only reason this isn't a 1-star review. But he oddly insisted on cutting the fish horizontally -- not even following the fillets. And when we were first seated, the hostess gave me a dirty look when I politely asked not to sit right by the entrance. She didn't even acknowledge me. Disappointing overall. DeLuca's We don't like to leave unfavorable reviews, but it's only fair since the issues were brought up to the management during our visit and they were not concerned with our experience. This wasn't the first-class restaurant we thought it would be. We visited DeLuca's for the first time on January 9th, 2025. The location was excellent. Valet was quick and courteous. We had reservations and we were seated right away. It was extremely noisy. It didn't help that we were sat directly below a big speaker, but then again the big speakers were everywhere and I mean everywhere. The DJ and his music was far too loud for this to be a fine dining restaurant. It was so loud that I could not hear the person sitting across the table from me even when talking in a raised voice. With the music, so loud everyone around us was talking at the top of their voices adding to the extreme ambient volume. We spoke with our server and she sent over the manager. The manager at first seemed reasonable and turned the music down a tad, but about 5 mins later it was right back up again. We spoke to the manager again and he seemed unwilling to adjust the volume because the drunk people at the bar wanted to dance and sing at the bar to the loud disco music. I am all for a good time, but not at a fine dining establishment. This bar should be better known as a nightclub with good bar food. That is the reputation they are building. Unfortunately, we won't be returning and we won't give any favorable recommendations to anyone. The food was actually very good, but everything else about this place was disappointing and baffling. Servers hovering over the table and pulling plates and food away while we were still eating. Asked for several side items and drinks from several servers and none of them bringing what we requested. Loud music playing like a nightclub while families trying to enjoy dinner. I felt terrible for one family I saw that was seated right in front of the DJ, and people dancing all around their table while they were trying to have their dinner. Manager seemed to not care one bit and didn't do a thing to help them when the looks on their faces showed they were clearly bothered by what was going on. The balance of flavors made every bite delightful. Appetizers - we had the Caesar salad and the golden fried calamari; Both were fresh tasty, homemade, and delicious. Amazing service made me and my date feel like the most important people in the room the whole time. The ambiance and atmosphere was great and love the new decor. We did the grilled octopus as an appetizer which was amazing and I did their special of a pistachio crusted Chilean sea bass which was out of this world and some of the best fish I've ever had. Wow! To start, we were amazed by the beautiful dining room. The unique gold chairs and the lovely table arrangement were impressive. The host station made us feel very welcome. The menu was extensive, and we were informed that it was a scratch kitchen. The wine list was truly impressive, featuring a range of Italian wines that were amazing, albeit not cheap. Our server, Paul, was a real professional, and I really enjoyed our informed interactions with him. Even the bussers were a well-oiled, efficient machine. There were four of us at the table, and everyone loved their food. Lastly, the singer who wandered around the room had a great voice and seemingly infinite repertoire. The place is tiny, the tables are on top of each other and there is an undersized disco hanging from the ceiling. it's a disco wannabe! DeLuca's here's my take: The food is pretty good we've been about four times now and have ordered different items. Chicken parm is solid, chicken francese was excellent, gnocchi pesto was also good, house salad dressing is on point, shrimp cocktail was eehhh not the best I've had but not the worst. Haven't had any desserts so I can't review those. Cocktails are very good and they do have an extensive wine list both by the glass and bottle. Two full bars service the restaurant. The service is excellent, the staff is very attentive and friendly each time we've been. The maître d' is constantly making rounds, checking on tables and making sure that everything is on point. The ambiance is part of the charm of this spot. It's like a dance party during dinner, loud music plays with live DJs singing and getting the crowd that forms around the two bars going. It's really a fun time if you don't mind the noise level. This is not where you want to go for a quiet dinner. This place is a whole vibe! Sooo NY in Boca. I've never been before 8-9 pm so it is possible that earlier dining is more subdued than the later dining times similar to Mortorano's in FTL. Make sure to make a reservation as the place has a full house most weekend nights and get your shoes on for some post pasta disco dancing! You won't regret it. read more

This is the second time we have visited DeLuca's. We were super impressed on the first time there which was a Friday evening. They had an amazing singer and we had an outstanding server, excellent food.. As a chophouse...we were prepared to pay $50+ per entree...no problem...I gave the restaurant 5 stars. We took four friends with us last evening ( on a Monday night). It was nice as a patron as it wasn't so crowded. Our waiter "G" was attentive. We ordered 2 grey goose martinis , 2 Angel Envy Rye Manhattans and an Angel's Envy Rye Old Fashioned. Each grey goose martini was $17... the Bourbon drinks were $37 each for a standard 2 ounce pour! As a table, shared 2 beet salads, a calamari and an artichoke to start. All were delicious. The bread was superb. The entrees were okay.. my husband and I each had the snapper, another couple shared a pasta dish, which they liked, our other friend had the filet... and I'm unsure of what his wife ordered. We were shocked at the price of the bourbon drinks. When we respectfully questioned the waiter, he was somewhat defensive and told us that we ordered a more expensive bourbon ( which added $4 per drink.. so instead of $34 per drink..it became $37). This is double what most upscale restaurants in Boca charge. Just FYI. It's a nice restaurant... I hope they continue to do well. read more
