I'm sure it's the owner, but he's amazing! Extremely friendly and charismatic. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection! And the restaurant is VERY CLEAN. You can't go wrong with the chicken kabob dinner or anything on the menu for that matter. And I'm a big fan of the cream of chicken soup! All around great experience, a very homey atmosphere. I have been going for years until Covid. Went back last week to try again . Not good at all. Used to love the Chef Salad. This time is was awful. Lettuce was gross, no swiss cheese and turkey was on par with Carl Buddings packaged turkey. So salty my blood pressure peaked to almost stroke. Will not be back. Its a shame. read more

Came here for the first time this week. The food here is decent but nothing to go out of my way for. I got the gyro plate, cheese fries, spaghetti and chicken fingers. Cheese sauce for the fries is good, very similar to Portillo's. The gyro plate had generous amount of meat, but having a second pita would be good. Chicken fingers and spaghetti are nothing to special. What detracts a bit from this restaurant is the service. When finding our seat one of the workers was cleaning and was really just pushy and said "watch out" instead of saying excuse me. The lady working the counter was not much better. I have literally tried half of their menu and not once have I had something good. My most recent order was a ham and cheese sandwich to which I asked for no tomatoes, and received just ham and bread. But that's fine right? Everyone makes mistakes? Well no, when I opened up this sandwich I actually thought my mom just made me a ham sandwich and then I proceeded to eat it, and instantly I knew this was too bad to be made by my mother. My other experiences include hotdogs that make me want to throw up, cream of chicken soup that can't even be redeemed by adding crackers, and a dry beef and cheese sandwich that instead of making my stomach full, just filled me with pensive sadness. Really good sandwiches!! I love their cod sandwich, tilapia sandwich, and the grilled chicken is excellent with some tzatziki sauce. Their gyros, Italian beef, and toasted sandwiches are also very good. Their pitas are generally pretty good, but occasionally a little overcooked, but the fillings were great. Their falafel is okay, but not my favorite in the area (Falafel Makers is a little far away, but totally worth the trip if you're in the mood for falafel). I've had one of their burgers, and it was pretty good - I probably wanna get another. I haven't had any of their dinner places, but they certainly look good (especially their chicken). I'm hoping to stop by a few more times to try more of their menu, as it's also a pretty convenient location if I'm in the neighborhood. Personally, though, I think they're the best place for sandwiches in the immediate area (so much better than the Subway across the street). If you like fish sandwiches, I heartily recommend their cod and tilapia sandwiches along with some Greek potatoes! read more

Meh. Nice inside and service was good but my gyros plate definitely wasn't good. I don't get gyros all the time but I've eaten enough in my 50 yrs to know this was the most dried out gyros I think I've ever had. Portion wise it wasn't much compared to other places I've been. My personal preference, but their tomato slices are really thick which I also don't like. Tomato like the onions are supposed to compliment the gyros not overwhelm it which is what happens when a tomato is cut into 1/4 " slices. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

Greek staples done fast and really well. Very much a Greek style family restaurant. Lots of tables, Greek decorations and inviting. This is a well oiled machine with great service and super food! Everyone always has a smile, the team is helpful and is right there to help clear your table not when you finish but as you finish... so on top of it. Reliable, cheap, and quick -- Dengeos for years has provided huge portions at extremely reasonable prices, with cooking that's a little better than other similar nearby restaurants. But what makes it really stand out now is the remodeling which gives it a feel more like the trendy fast-casual restaurants but with fast food prices. This will probably become the norm in the next few years as consumers look for great values that they can bring friends and family too -- especially since more expensive sit-down full-service restaurants don't cook burgers, fries, or gyros better than fast food specialists do. What makes Dengeos really stand out for me is how they salt their food less than restaurants that serve similar food do and don't seem to use as much oil. This is not to say that their food is flavorless, but they don't overseason items and the textures of their food are good (fried foods are crispy, vegetables are juicy, meat is not overcooked, etc.). My favorites are the gyros and skirt steak sandwich if you're looking for something simple and delicious. read more

I forgot my lunch one day and needed a quick spot. I thought they had a drive thru, but they do not. I walked in and ordered their falafel wrap. I believe it was advertised as a new menu item. So it's actually a Greek restaurant which I did completely know but I should have noted before in my review. The options for me personally as a vegetarian are mostly USA style. I did retry the spinach pie recently and it is good but definitely rich. Ive decided I like it more now and do like that it comes with a salad with vinaigrette dressing. This will now probably be my meal of choice when we get from there. If they just changed around some of their recipes to be vegetarian and tasty the place has potential to me but I guess they don't bother because enough people like it as it is. read more

My go to lunch spot when I am around the house. Pretty much what you'd expect hot dogs, car broiled burgers, gyros, Greek chicken (it is a Greek run establishment). The salads are also big enough to feed my ample back side, and are actually a go to dinner selection. Food quality is always good. Still in restaurant as I review. Total waste of time n money. Ordered a gyros with fries and drink. Gyros totally lacked any flavor and meat was not slightly dark as it should be. Hate when they give it to you bland looking. And no I don't want them tossing the slices on flat top like some joints do to color it up as it will dry it out further. And although I don't like watery/runny gyros sauce this place takes it to the other extreme....thick as could be to where you couldn't even shake it out of cup, and again not great flavor. Ordered a gyros sandwich with fries. The fries, who knew this was possible, were dry and flavorless. Not sure what they were made of but it wasn't real potato. Gyros next-the gyros meat was not great, again, dry and the portion was small for the price. The reason for 2 starts instead of 1 is because the pita was very fresh and puffy. read more

Been going here for 30 years. Food is good, but the staff cant keep up with the volume of online orders, and walk in clients. I waited 20 minutes. They put two sandwhiches and called my number. Went out to the car, looked in the bag, and they forgot the fries and mozzarella sticks. Went back in, waited 10 mote minutes. Got home and neither sandwhich was right. Check you bags. The food here is awesome, the problem is, I wash the cooks, prepare food with no gloves, sometimes sweaty, and God knows where their hands have been. And usually when I call in my order when the guys answer never a problem but when the Spanish girl answers she is completely rude and when you want something a certain way, she seems to have an attitude every time other than that I have a recommend the food. Place has gone down hill visit after visit. May stop eating here. For a Greek place, you'd think the Grecian chicken would be a safe bet (and good benchmark). Dengeos' is just a roasted chicken served with a lemon wedge. The flavor is as plain as it gets: no lemon, no garlic, no oregano. And their Grecian potatoes? They taste fine, but they never cook them long enough. Not much good can be said about a half-cooked potato. The steak sandwich is tough, the gyros are dry, and they routinely forget sauces or sides. I just picked up a combo beef/sausage sandwich and a side order of mushrooms. The order was ready as promised. When I got home I found that the order of mushrooms was very generous and I amazed at the amount of beef on the sandwich. I was able to leave 1/2 of the sandwich for lunch tomorrow.
