Today, I decided I wanted take out so I called Denny's. First time I was told to hold on and then hung up on. I called back twice only to be hung up yet again. So, against my better judgment I drove there and ordered food to take out. After 30 mins. my order was ready. Got home and the two cesar salads were meaningless. They charged almost $14.00 each and I could have made them for less than $6.50. The ham and cheese sandwich was yucky and the fries were not crisp at all. I used to enjoy Denny's not any more. I asked to speak to the Manager as soon as I got their to vent about the phone call hang ups but he was busy and said he'd be available in 5 mins I got ignored. If I could give a zero star I would. I witnessed your hostess not only treat a customer with the upmost disrespect and such foul language the other night. The manager didn't even offer the customer their meal free. The hostess literally was trashing the customer because she simply didn't want to do her job. She's supposed to Acknowledge any and all customers. A simple be right with you. No instead she proceeded to tell the lady I can't do two things at once. Then walked away talking profanity under her breath that we could all hear. I am so disgusted that the manager allowed this to happen and did not even offer to refund the customer. One star is too much, they are the worst. Worst customer service, the manager can't even fix an order. When they tell you that they repeat the order to you but still can't listen or understand what you said. Don't waist your time and money there not worth it. The Denny's in lone tree way has better customer service. The manager and some of the staff needs customer service training. Treat everyone like is your family coming to eat. read more

Only due to the hostess, I placed my order online because that location, for some reason, never answers the phone. When I arrived, I stand at the spot that clearly marks for the pick up orders, I had stood there for a few minutes, I know this doesn't sound like a long time but mind you, I've worked my shift, I ordered online and I arrived at the time it said it would be ready and the 3 dinners were paid for, I did my part. Nobody acknowledged I'm standing there... I wait and wait then I asked the girl on the computer (next to the pick up order sign) and I honestly in a giggle laugh said excuse me? Is this where I stand to pick up my order? (Doing the lighthearted laugh, I know what it's like to work with customers) she didn't look up said out of the side of her mouth the computer can't do 2 things at once or that she couldn't do two things at once... (With a customer in front of her) that's when I got highly pissed, I told her all I needed was for you to acknowledge that I'm standing here. Obviously words are coming from her walking away, disregarding me and saying that she doesn't have to stand there and listen to me, Yes, I'm summing it up.. When I asked for the manager... He came out and to be honest it looked like he wanted to say now what. Not because of me but maybe because he's used to getting complaints. I wanted to cancel and I didn't want the free cheesecake. I even tried to be nice again to her thinking it might of been a misunderstanding, nope she turned away and said I'm no going to stand here and have you tell me how to act ect ect read more

I love coming here in the mornings before work. The food is delicious and the employees are great. Shout out to Melissa and Dallas you guys rock. We've been here several times in the 8-9 am hour on a Sunday, always expect it to be busy but today... after standing around for 20 plus minutes with another 15 or so people I notice they wasn't even anyone in the back room. apparently not enough staff? and we watch as the "shift" manager asked and was told by one of the hostess they didn't have enough people working. So seems like the hostess is making the call letting customers stand around for 20-30 min instead of seating them. things must be pretty tight if they don't schedule waitresses on a very busy Sunday am. I know its Dennys, and its in Antioch California, but shouldn't you at least have staff on a sunday morning ? we ended up leaving as we only watch 2 people being seated in 20 minutes, would would have been there forever read more

I come to this Denny's fairly often. The waitresses are always busy talking to each other than providing good service. When it comes time to pay for the food there is no conversation at all, no please, thanks, have a good day, it is completely silent on the employees behalf despite the fact that I say hi, thank you, etc. Literally get ignored, they hand you the receipt as soon as it prints and before you grab it they are on their way. Its a little ridiculous. Train your employees some people skills. read more

We arrived, my husband, son and myself and we're seated at a table with only 2 chairs. The area was crowded, yet they did not open the other part of the restaurant. The "bread pudding French toast" was 3" small and indelible (as in I left without eating my food). Dirty floors, filthy bathroom. Do not put any money in the claw machine. Store refuses to compensate you for losing money in it, and refuses to warn their customers that it is broken! They claim that it is not their machine, and it is a corporate issue. They even yelled at us when we put a sign on it to warn people. Corporate issue? If I could do 0 stars I would, went with my wife for breakfast this morning and the place was pack, that but we where seated fast, the issue was when we got our food. My pregnant wife ordered a chicken and potato skillet and the chicken was under cooked, we showed the waitress and she agreed. Now the fun part when she took the food back to the cook he went off and was say some offensive words in Spanish not realizing I was with in ear shot and I speak Spanish and understood everything he said. I have been at this location once for the last three years. Each time the service has driven me away. This last time was a breakfast that took 20 minutes to get to my table and I was one of only three guests in diner. Chronically under staffed! Lousy service. Went there with my mother on 12/15/14 and were seated right away. 20 minutes later they hadn't even taken our drink orders, nor even stopped by the table to say "I'll be right with you" or anything. At 25 minutes we walked out and went somewhere else. There's another Denny's in antioch off Lone Tree way that's like day and night compared to this place. Drive the extra 5 miles to the other Denny's and enjoy good service. read more

I've been here plenty of times, always good service and food. The time of being seated and getting your food varies, but most Dennys are that way. Nothing over the top special, but nothing particularly wrong. Food is average, service is okay. My order is always correct and no complaints from any of my visits. read more

Every time I have ever been to this Denny's the service is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. Since there has been multiple times with the same level of service (or lack of) which leads me to believe that it is not the servers but most definitely has to be the lack of training from management. It also makes me wonder how sanitary the back of house is... I was there earlier this morning and Rhonda was our server. We were seated fairly fast and after a minute or two were asked what we'd like to drink. We ordered burgers and fries. Two drinks and a shake. I also specifically asked for two ranches, one for my sister and myself. Also some mustard. We get our food and still haven't gotten our ranch and mustard or shake. I remind her gently to please bring some ranch as well. She said she would. So we begin to eat our meal. The food was great, however the service stunk! She waited on several other tables and then finally brought me some mustard. But no ranch. I asked again. She said she'd bring it. She took some orders. Then I asked again and again. Still no ranch. Finally after 20 min. And the 4th or 5th time of me asking. She finally brought it. However my food was cold by that point. She was standing around a lot as well and joking here and there in the kitchen with other co-workers. She also not once came by and asked if I would like a refill on my drink when it was empty. I had to ask her for that. I understand some people have long or bad days but I was fully ready to go in today to leave my server with a $10-$20 tip. Depending on how great and kind the server was. Instead I left unsatisfied with the service that was given when my requests were very simple. Ranch and mustard. Also, we got our shake later into the meal which wasn't too bad but still. How hard is it to get some ranch and mustard?? Also she only brought ONE. for two people eating from separate plates. Literally this has been the worst experience I've had at Denny's. top it off when I went to pay for my food. THEN she decided to ask how everything was. I pretty much answered with a simple reply and left her a tip at the table that was pretty much worthy of her service. Which was a $1.63 out of a 32.53 bill. If Rhonda looks at reviews on Yelp at all. Maybe next time when I stop in. Consider being a more courteous hostess. Then I'll see again about leaving a $10-$20 tip. read more

It's our third year in a row going to this Denny's for Christmas dinner. Usually its normal danny with pretty good service even on Christmas. This year was not good the service was slow inaccurate and our food was brought to us cold then our server never returned to check on us. they lagged on refills and when we wanted to order dessert we had to do it in 3 part. The server never seem to stick around long enough to get everyones order. The whole experence was way too long and was not even to the normal Denny's standard. hope this year was just a fluke. usually it's not so bad guess we'll try again next year hopefully they will have improved things read more

Me and friends of mine eats at dennys all the time practically every night. We go to this location or concord. However, i have a very upsetting experience tonight... like i said we come to this location pratically almost every other night and its not like we dont order anything, we eat mostly breakfast but we spend money.... Tonight i ask for a refill on my soda because the servers do not tend to us like usual.... Im not even supposed to ask for coz they should be bringing me my refill or at least asking me if i want more once they see the glass is empty!!!
