My family and I visited this location for dinner tonight while we were in town from Sacramento. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Four of us ordered the prime rib medium rare, but all four came out rare and bright red inside. One of us also ordered a New York steak medium rare, and it was served rare as well. It was clear that multiple steaks were not cooked to the correct temperature. When I brought it to our server's attention, she didn't apologize. She took one of the prime ribs back to the kitchen, and when it came back, it was completely overcooked, burnt, and well done. It was no longer medium rare or enjoyable. My son said he was okay with his meal, but I wasn't satisfied with how the situation was handled. I spoke to the server again, hoping for some kind of resolution. Instead, she told me they weren't going to replace my son's meal because he had already eaten most of it. I explained that I wasn't asking for another meal--I simply felt our table deserved a discount because all four prime ribs and the New York steak were cooked incorrectly. The cook clearly needs better quality control, especially for a steakhouse that's known for its steaks. More importantly, the server should have apologized and handled the situation professionally instead of arguing with us. Came in on the Thursday to celebrate a college graduation. The food is fine. The ribeye and prime ribs are ok. The meat was not the freshest for a steakhouse but it tasted ok (6 out of 10). We had 2 prime ribs dinners and both were dry (must have been sitting under a heat lamp). We had two orders of the carb cake dinners and both were a bit salty. The experience was disappointing due to the ambiance. The floors were dirty. The upholstery were ripped in our booth and other booths as well. So changing seats wont change that. read more

I haven't been to a Black Angus Steakhouse in forever. But I was craving steak so me and my family came here. This one is located at the Streets of Brentwood. I ordered a Ribeye Steak, my niece ordered a burger and my friend ordered salmon. We did the mix and match dinner it comes with two meals, two sides and a dessert. It's an awesome deal for two. Totally recommend it. My steak was so good! I don't if it was because I haven't had steak in a while or it was just that good. Oh, I have to say they serve one the best mashed potatoes I have ever tasted. It was creamy and buttery. My niece enjoyed her burger, it was nothing fancy. And my friend loved her salmon. It was cooked to perfection. The service was ok. I find it weird that servers will pass you and look at you but don't acknowledge you. Like say something. But all is well because as soon as our server came we were able to order right away. The restaurant has this darker tone decor. It's giving a country vibe. My fault because I decided to give this place a second chance About a year ago I called in an order and WAITED for over an hour to bring home (after being told to come in 20mins) a hastily packed meal where some condiments were missing and the baked potatoe was the size of an egg. So after a year I went back, I called in an order again, was told it'd be ready in 25 min for pick up And again WAITED for another 45 mins. They said let me get the manager and sent out someone who wasn't in charge (Matt?). Finally they brought out my take home meal which again was missing some of the requested condiment's. They wouldn't tell me what the issue was, until the manager (Jennifer) came out and I stated that they lost the ticket. Which I don't believe because 1 of the items was burnt to a CRISP, it seems more like this forgot 1 item and had to keep the other 2 warm Horrible service, over priced bad food. They burned my ribeye steak. The server took it back and will replace it with another steak . it took a long time to get my food. My husband and my sister are almost done eating their food. Speaking of inconvenience on their part. It's not the server's fault. They gave us a free desert due to the mishap. We have noticed the seats are so dirty and disgusting. There are Brown stains all over the seats . The cloth covering the back seats are ripped and falling apart and it smells I like old carpet . Poor management. It's ashamed. Our go to steak house is changing and frustrating. We are bargain shoppers and the Porterhouse steak with two lobster tails and two sides for around $60 was a sweet deal. Both sides of the bone were cooked perfectly. The sides were fine and we skipped dessert. But overall the food was great. Chris, our server, was new but very good at his job. His shadow/trainer was annoying. Nice, but Chris was doing a fine job without her. Her constant checking on things "with you two" like we were teens on prom night got old really fast. Lastly the decor has seen better days. Our booth seat was dirty with lord knows what stuck between the cushions. The seat back was worn to tatters. Had dinner with my family last night and truly enjoyed the experience. The ribeye was a generous portion, cooked medium to perfection, and the two lobster tails were excellent--tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The loaded mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious, and the mussels were also very good, though a bit on the salty side. Even with the garlic bread, the saltiness was noticeable. The wedge salad was fresh, crisp, and well-balanced, and the bread served before our entrées was warm and soft. The only minor drawback was the whipped butter, which was creamy but lacked flavor. We were in Brentwood today checking out open houses and were so excited to see a Black Angus, something we've really missed in the Pleasant Hill area! We decided to stop in for some appetizers (the potato skins were great!) and ended up ordering the Ribeye & Lobster and the Top Sirloin with grilled vegetables. All deliciously flavored and cooked! For improvement: 1. We were among the first few customers but the restroom didn't look like it. Also I got a side Caesar salad not pictured that was mostly cheese and brown lettuce, I probably ate about three bites total. The for entrees I ordered the fish and chips which was really fish sticks, the fries were way too salty and the onion rings were not good at all. My husband got top sirloin and crispy shrimp with broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes. When the order came the waiter forgot the mash potatoes which can be understandable I guess, but when we asked for them he said "well the plate only comes with one side" we said that's fine we still wanted the potatoes. I actually found that offensive as if we could not pay for a side. Overall horrible experience, smelly restaurant, frozen food, rude service. I got a moonshine lemonade it was good and strong. I want to the bathroom and almost lost my appetite it smelled of old pee and the floor was very sticky. We got the campfire feast for two. The wagon wheel sampler was much smaller that I remembered and looked very small on the plate lots of empty space. The steaks were small but good. The mac and cheese tasted like kraft. The baked potatoes were good. Beware they will offer you lots of toppings for the steak and potatoes like seasoned butter, onions and other items. They are all $3.00 a piece so that can add up fast. Amanda was great. She elevated an average experience to an amazing experience. Her performance and personality was top notch. We really loved her. She did a great job at every step of the way from greeting us to taking our order to checking in on us and bringing us our bill. Having frequented this establishment numerous times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, I was disappointed by the decline in quality during this visit. The waiter was inattentive when refilling drinks, repeatedly citing charges for refills--something I understand is common, but as a repeat customer, I found the constant reminders unnecessary and unwelcome. There was no valid reason for these repeated excuses each time we placed a new order. Additionally, the wait for each drink was noticeably longer than during previous visits. While other tables received prompt and attentive service, our table was largely ignored throughout the evening. Wanting to avoid causing a scene on such a special occasion, I chose not to complain openly to management, but I was certainly discouraged from leaving a tip--unusual for me, as I normally leave a 20-30% gratuity for exceptional service. I now realize that requesting a dedicated server for special occasions might be advisable in the future. Came here tonight with my sister and niece for a good steak only to spend an hour being ignored by the wait staff as everyone made eye contact with our table. Eventually we chose to flag down our waiter after he continually walked past our table to ask when the food would be ready and to ask for a drink refill. The food was then brought out luke warm, and with an incorrect meal order to which the waiter deflected as a kitchen issue. We chose not to even eat at the restaurant and to take our sad meals to go. A bunch of girlfriends got together for a post Christmas dinner(6 of us to be exact). We started with cocktails and wine. We got our drinks and we chucked b 'cause my one friend's drink looked as though the bartender left out ingredients as it was only Hal full. It also didn't taste like there was any alcohol(maybe that's what was left out)! She was afraid to send it back or we might have finished dinner before she got the replacement because it was just that busy and it was a Monday. My prickly pear drink was delicious. They offer this special meant to share with someone. It worked out perfect because it was 6 of us. You get an appetizer, 2 meals, and a dessert. The portions are great sizes do plenty of food. My friend and I had the Brussels sprouts; freakin delicious, I had salmon, a bit dry with yummy mash potatoes and fresh green beans. Others at the table had steak and said it was perfect. We ended with carrot cake, red velvet cheese cake, and the warm cookie a la mode and everything was tasty. I love the boot decor and the booths were spacious enough where you don't feel cramped. I have the exact concerns as John E did. I say concerns because if not addressed we (my autistic son) will not have his favorite steak house restaurant around for long. As we waited to be seated windows are noticeably dirty from months of neglect, as being walked to our table the carpet is noticeably dirty, as we are being sat we are hoping to get a table way in the back as to hope of getting a not torn or visibly dirty backrest. I will not discuss the service or food because that depends on the staff that would be currently working. Mostly they are up to par. We happened to use the men's restroom, it was obvious it had not been cleaned in a while. For years since this place opened, this has been our local, go-to steak place. Service is almost always great. Food is good as well as their prices. -BUT- circling back to the FOOD- I've reached out to management years ago regarding their Ribeye steaks (because it was a problem then). Ribeye is our favorite cut of steak, be it at a restaurant or cooking it at home ourselves. Again, it's our FAVORITE CUT!! That said, we KNOW what a Ribeye steak looks like, as far as texture and flavor. My husband hates to -complain- or bring up -issues- at restaurants he is currently dining in. As it's been a reported FACT what is -done- with food after customers -complain- about it.
