The most unprofessional and worse customer service ever! Just went for a graduation with a party of 12. We literally waited 15 and not one server came to us to take our drinks. We told them if we were going to have a server take our orders on drinks and they didn't even have a clue anyone was taking over for our party. We left the restaurant and while leaving we told them why and they didn't acknowledge the fact that they messed up and didn't say anything. I rarely come on here to write bad reviews but I came here twice during my recent stay nearby and although I have to say the food was very good, it was the worst service I've ever, ever had a restaurant. From no silverware for very long periods of time, to the wrong food coming out, to waiting an hour plus for food to be served, to flat soda, to half of our party's food coming out long before the rest of the table's, this was just a terrible experience both times. We actually several times had to physically leave our table to go get our own silverware from other tables and to find our waiter and waitress. I would recommend going to another spot in town. read more

No, no, no do NOT come here. We stopped by here on the way from Palm Springs to the Santa Fe Springs swap meet only because it was my dad's birthday and he wanted his free grand slam. NEVER AGAIN!! I am so skeptical to go inside of any Denny's now. My husband and I ordered the same thing- a bacon avocado burger. This was both of our breakfast; we hadn't eaten anything else prior to this and within 3-4 hours of eating it, my stomach started getting upset. At the end of the day, my husband and I both had food poisoning and were up all night going to the bathroom. I lay here weak in my bed as I write this review. I called and the manager said she would take a report. I'm hoping they will follow up with this incident; hate for anyone else to go through this!!! Five stars for our server Debbie. This establishment was immediately welcoming and had great customer service. They even went through the trouble of turning down the ac because we looked cold. The food was hot and fast, not to mention the prices were cheap. This is the perfect location for a fast and good meal, any time of night, always a top pick! So I have been to this Denny's quite a few times and our service is usually good. Food is hot and comes out in a timely manner. There is one server named Santiago who is excellent. Unfortunately he is not always there. Anyway today I went in with my coworkers on our lunch break and selected one of their skillets which normally comes with mushrooms. I do not usually order any food from any restaurant that have mushrooms since I have an allergy to them and I'm always afraid that they will cook my food with them. I asked if they can make it without mushrooms due to my allergy and was told yes. I repeated that I have an allergy my food can not even be cooked with it then taken out. The server said ok I will make sure the cook knows. Well my food comes out... I cut up the chicken and my eggs and hidden under my potatoes are mushrooms. WTH?! I call the server over and let her know again I repeat they can't just pick them out she says ok I will have them make you a new one. The 2nd plate comes out and they used the same chicken and eggs from my first plate and put it on top of potatoes that look like all they did was pick out the mushrooms and reheat. I was floored! The manager came over and acted like it wasn't a big deal and said "yeah what did you need?" Her nonchalant demeanor and her non professionalism just made me lose my appetite. When I told her what the issue was she said "I was standing right there watching" which by the way is a lie because I was watching them in the kitchen. Not only that but after the mistake was made she didn't apologize nor did she ask if I would like anything else. I just told her take it off our bill and I literally sat there while everyone else ate. I don't think I will be going to this Denny's again. It's sad that they have managers working for them that don't care about the people or where they work. I work in Human Resource and if one of my employees treated our customers this way they definitely would get written up. I suggest this Denny's train their employees better on customer service. So been to Denny's for over 20yrs and countless locations and never heard of a Denny's that was advertised as being open for 24hrs , however the kitchen closed for over 2hrs due to scheduled maintenance !!! How about a notice or "sorry about that here is a cup of coffee or how about some pie or anything" And why not pick a different time that's not the during the hours were your the only place in the area that is open, so apparently the kitchen isn't cleaned on Dailey basis thru out the 24hrs , instead they apparently wait to clean during these scheduled over 2hrs assigned times Seems The idiot who decided to closed down a nationally know resteraunt famous for being open 24hrs , should be demoted to dish washer Because there incompetence casts a dark cloud over this location read more

This place straight up sucks! Came here with my wife to have a nice breakfast, but instead got horrible service. We had to wait nearly 45 minutes to an hour to get our food. There was other people who came in later who got their food first. When we finally got the food the eggs were cold honestly I could have made better eggs at home. The waiter did his job nothing against him. He brought us some girl with a silver name tag to talk to because we wanted a discount for waiting so long and she literally said she could only give us 10 or 5% off in that order....now here is a side note for the restaurant manager for when you are training your employees when a customer is upset and wants a discount your employees should not start with 10 then go to 5% especially when they specifically ask her for half off for waiting for so long. I honestly don't think she was even a manager just somebody that works the register. So if you are not capable of making cold eggs and toast and hash browns at home then by all means come to this Denny's I hate wasting time, but maybe you'll love it. read more

I want to start of by saying I love eating at Denny's. I ussualy go eat at Denny's at least once or twice a month. This review is for this location and the bad experience my family and i had. My family and i went on a one day vacation to knotts berryfarm and this was the nearest Denny's in the area. On my way to Denny's i had called and asked for the wait time and i was told thier was no wait and when arriving 5 mintues later i was told thier was a 15 minute wait for a party of 3. Between those 15-20 minutes other people were getting seated before use after just entering. It was untill my wife said something when they finally decided to seat us. Then we waited another 10 minutes till the waitress took out drink order. at this point we were already getting frustrated. After placing our order at this point it had been about 45- 50 minutes since we waited from entering. I finally had enough and spoke to the manager about the wait time and decided to cancel our food and be on our way. just to be clear it wasn't full of people or anyway half full. We decided to go to another Denny's couple milles away were we have perfect service. read more

The menu is full of variety and so much to choose from. The newly added skillets sounds and looks amazing. I'm definitely trying them when I come back. Late night munchies I usually go to the 2,4,6,8 deal but today I wanted to get all American slam. It was really good. My daughter ordered the mac & cheese & a strawberry-banana smoothie and my husband & I each got a bowl of Broccoli Cheddar soup with an iced tea and a Root Beer. The mac & cheese was dry & flavorless. The soups were lukewarm at best. The iced tea tasted like water and the root beer was flat. Sadly the only thing that tasted half way decent was my daughters smoothie. We went in about 9:45 last Sunday night. There were about 15 people waiting ahead of us for a table, and the host was taking names. Yet there were lots of clean, empty tables, and still more that hadn't been bussed. The host was fiddling with a stack of menus, but didn't consider giving one to the people waiting - to give them something to do, and be able to order right away when they got seated. We were hungry, and it was late. We just helped ourselves to a couple. When we were called to be seated, I asked the host how they could justify making people wait when they had so many empty tables. He said they were short-staffed. Really?? In Buena Park's "resort district"? I asked him if he had any idea how many people were out of work, and would jump at the prospect to be a wait person (with tips) in a restaurant. It was also a long wait to get the check. The experience communicated that at this location, they just didn't care about anything. Denny's corporate didn't appear to care too much either, as a quick search on a smart phone showed they had a number to call during weekdays, but no e-mail address to provide feedback. That Denny's location had their own website, but no means to submit comments, either. It may have been a franchise location. read more
