You can usually say all Denny's restaurants are the same; however, this one is better than most. I was worried when I saw it was attached to a large gas station and truck stop. The servers were so very nice and attentive. I ordered the grilled chicken with 2 sides, broccoli and zucchini. Everything was very tasty. It was a clean and very relaxing place. My waitress was super pleasant and I was seated promptly. The food came out lickety-split. I had the Super Bird, and after days of burgers on the road it sure was super to get something different. The tables were all clean, as were the floors, so no issues there. It was just a nice quiet place to take a break from the road for a minute and recharge with some decent food. The crepe was almost rubber, the hashbrowns were overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside, and the sausage links were smaller than my fingers. This Dennys was absolutely horrible. I should've known better when I walked in the restaurant and there were sticky floors and smelled like urine. We ordered the Mac and cheese brisket and it looked like someone went to Walmart and grabbed some great value Mac and cheese and threw it on the skillet and the brisket tasted horrible. we went to Denny's in Catlettsburg today and it was really a bad experience. My husband ordered the nachos and they were half fried greasy nachos in a big pile with a little bit of meat sauce and cheese. The waitress said they were out of pico de galo. She became rude when he asked for onions. She brought out old tomatoes and onions that were clear in appearance. He told her the bachos were terrible and he couldn't eat them. she said all she can do is take 10% off the bill. His ice tea was old and tasted strange. She did bring him a coke in replacement. We never complain about meals and service but this needs shared. The food was awful, drink bad and the waitress became very rude. We will never go there again. Out of 5 stars this place is -2 but I could only post one for there wasn't anything less. read more

I never do stuff like this but yesterday I doordashed the nachos, mozz sticks and a drink. the nachos just had the sauce and shredded cheese. no pico, no sour cream. the marinara on the mozz sticks was poured all over them, obviously making them soggy... and then i didn't receive my drink. today i was still craving dennys so me and my boy friend decided to go. his sweet tea literally tasted like it was 3 weeks old. it was so sour. and then we ordered nachos and the donut holes, the nachos didn't have pico again, but we found out it's because they are out... okay that's fine but the server should let the customer know, in my opinion. we got the donut holes with no icing until maybe 10 min later she brought it. i got the cali sandwich with fries and the fries were cold... it was a terrible experience honestly. also one of the line cooks were sitting on the cooler I think? idk I couldn't tell what it was but he was hitting his vape where everyone could see. someone needs to do something about that place read more

This is a nice pretty and clean Dennys, super fast service, great fit menu items, lots of veggie, chicken and turkey fit options, had the veggie omelet with Cholula and red skinned potatoes very tasty. This Dennys is next to a filling station, but very strange that you are allowed to still smoke at a lot of locations here in Ashland, they do have smoking and non smoking areas but you know how that goes, still a nice place. read more

We on a long drive home after viewing the solar eclipse and stopped at the Flying J travel plaza to get gas. This Denny's was attached to their property so we decided to have breakfast since the location was convenient and I was sorry I did. There was just a couple of people in the restaurant at 8 a.m., we should of took that for a sign and left to look for a local breakfast place.The waitress was efficient but not friendly. She gave us the menu, got our coffee and tea then immediately asked us what our order was. Except for the Grand Slam special, the breakfast items were expensive for cheap processed food. read more
