Every time I walk through the doors of this place the little hairs on the back of neck stand up. My heart starts to race and my face inevitably breaks into an unbridled grin. My experiences at this Dennys are numerous so I have come to know the idiosyncrasies and have grown familiar with the little peccadillos that make this restaurant so special. First off, the wait. There rarely is any - at least to sit. That is usually the swiftest part of the whole experience because after you are graciously shown to your seat and handed a beautiful plastic menu the time that you may interact with another Dennys employee can be anywhere between 2 and 45 minutes. Once you are given the pleasure of a usually friendly waitress, you better get all your orders in now. The food service here is so slow that I'm confident that their kitchen process involves throwing all of the meal tickets into a pile and having the cooks pluck them out at random. I'm all for a little dance with destiny but it's incredibly inconvenient when you're trying to eat a quick breakfast. Luckily, I am not so naive that I ever come to Denny's when I'm in a rush. On the contrary. I only visit Dennys when I have a few hours to kill or my self esteem is hovering just above rock bottom. A common sight to see as you wait somewhat patiently for your eggs and potato grand slam diabetes bucket or whatever is small groups of people periodically standing up and storming out of the restaurant only to be replaced by a few more (hopefully patient) individuals or one really large sad guy. The food is generally okay but you have to be very flexible in what you ordered. Frequently orders are either incorrect, missing an ingredient or containing an ingredient asked to be removed. Anyway you slice it it's a really fun game of chance that adds a bit of excitement to every meal. My advice is to keep it simple and try the coffee because it's delicious and as long as you don't want your mug refilled that often well worth the price of admission. 5 stars. read more

So there's no one in here and they still took 15 minutes to even sit us And there was only one other group of maybe for five people. And then they left other peoples food and dishes and drinks all over the other tables. I counted 12 tables surrounding me that have dirty plates Like I understand that there is no one here and you can slack off of it but you can at least keep it slightly presentable. The waiter then Persuaded me out of my water with lemon to get a lemonade and then proceeded to coax me into i'm getting a milkshake because he "hated when people came in and just got water". Once he took our orders everyone at my table got a customizable meal and he never wrote down our orders. When he came over to us and needed reinforcement on what we ordered we told him how we wanted our food cooked because that was neglected to be asked of us in the first place. This worker's name is CJ and he works at the centereach Denny's, it is early October 27th at 2:58am. Please retrain the staff here because clearly they don't know how to be competent and professional. read more

I tried posting this on Google reviews however they decide to not show my review for whatever reason, To start off with the food is good however, one of the waitresses working there with curly black hair and glasses is extremely unprofessional and should be fired as an understatement. Why? There were a group of customers sitting near me that were discussing the case of Kyle Ritten house (aka the a-hole who decided to k!ll people for no reason) and they all started talking about how a murderer deserves not guilty, and to which that waitress decides to chime in and agree with them. Along with that those racist rednecks even wore a "Biden Lost" shirt which also prompted her to disclose even more sensitive political opinions that are racist and have no disregard for others. I don't agree with anybody that supports political opinions that discriminate against others of different races, Ethnicities etc. plus you should not disclose sensitive political opinions as an employee because it shows how insensitive of a person you are read more

They don't even deserve a star. Place is FILTHY, food was old and soggy. My son ordered macaroni and cheese off the kids menu and it was cold, hard, and tasted offal. My husband ordered a skillet, when it came out it was bathing in oil and the egg on top was raw. Both my son and husband did not eat either plate. My husband returned his and when the manager came by, she asked if they could make him something fresh instead. He said I thought I did order something fresh but I obveosuly not. Manager should be fired for not doing her job and insuring the place is semi clean and food not in the least bit fresh. Did a brunch here yesterday with some co workers and we were all happy. Found out about kids eat free on Tuesday nights so I'll be stopping in tonight with my girls. We had omelets, pancakes the new French toast stuffed with a cream that was so yummy, one person got a skillet that looked so good came to the table sizzling everything tasted fresh and hot all our eggs were done correct and the bill was not terrible considering we ate a ton. Our server was excellent handled our big table perfect and kept us in coffee the whole time, everyone was happy and we will be back soon. I had a big philly omelet and had pancakes instead of toast no way could i eat the whole thing. just left had a Super Slam for literally 9.99 cant get McDonald's for that these days. Pretty good spot for a reasonably priced breakfast or a huge burger. I had the Bourbon bacon burger lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle peppers, onions, bacon sauce with fries. the service is sooooo slow here. food comes out cold. they don't fill your coffee back up quick enough. half the time the toast has so much butter on it that if you hold it up the butter will literally drip off. its disgusting. I decided on a spinach/mushroom/onion omelet with home fries a side of bacon and rye toast. You choose omelets come with one filling, additional are $1 each. The omelet was good but was helped by some salt & pepper. The home fries were tasty with just the right amount of onion but the bacon was overcooked for my taste though I know many people like theirs extra crispy. There were two waitresses and they both were friendly and attentive. By the time I was ready to leave every table was taken but there were still seats at the counter. Now I know why the parking lot is almost always full, especially on the weekend. If you are looking for Home Town restaurant with good food & great coffee this is the place for you!

Great diner style coffee and super fresh and tasty juices will come out quick and so will your food. Except the home made corned beef hash. You'll wait a few minutes, and just a few extra minutes for that. Because they basically make from scratch on the spot. At least that's what it tastes like. So good So, corned beef hash and eggs is my go to, and it's my nirvana of meals too, but hey I'm a simple fat guy. And it's off the hook Nothing on Long Island comes close. So if you want a real breakfast, make it a point to come here. Today. Don't be like me. I should have started coming here 10 years ago. I didn't and I regret it. Don't waste a decade of your life on lousy breakfasts. No one needs that tribulation. Go today! Tomorrow is never promised and if it doesn't come, be rest assured you just had the best last meal of your life!

The place generally has an old school diner feel. It's pretty tiny but there was no wait on a weekday morning. Cinnabon pancakes were decadent. Egg white omelet was good. The side of potatoes was well cooked and seasoned. Buttered sourdough bread was also good. I would definitely come back.
