Visited after midnight. The short, spikey haired boy who was the greeter/hostess was rude and ignorant. I waited over 10 minutes before my server even acknowledged me. He was pleasant and apologetic. The restaurant was quite busy with 5 tables and only this one poor waiter. The hostess could have been more helpful. The eggs were dry. Sausage was cool and hashed browns burnt. I left half the meal untouched. Unfortunately for Durango this is really the only place open after midnight besides McD's on occasion. As far as their waitstaff they obviously have to settle for the bottom of the barrel for overnight workers. From now on I will settle for a pre-made deli sandwich from Walmart (open 24 hours). read more

We live here in Durango and have been here 4-5 times. It's hit or miss with service and food. You're probably better off of going to a mom and pop place on main. We just left Dennys for the last time after waiting 20 minutes to order dinner. Heading up north to the Three Peaks Grill, which we know is awesome. read more

I enjoy Denny's pancake items! Especially the ones covered in chocolate and whip cream. Their Sunday's are pretty good too. Honestly all breakfast items are great, the last time I got there skillet meals though I got mega sick so I don't travel here often. But if you want a nice simple breakfast this place does the job with good coffee. read more

I was visiting from California and I was tired of fast food so I wanted a sit down meal so I thought Denny's would be good. We got seated and picked out what we wanted and then we waited and waited to order. It was 20 minutes and nobody came, not even to take our drinks. I wouldn't have minded if I had a drink if it was going to be a wait for food but honesty by the time they took my order, it would just be longer waiting for the food. Worst experience with this chain yet. Our server did not seem very knowledgeable about the menu which is ok, but when I asked him for five sides on my grand slam knowing that I had to pay extra I was told no I couldn't do that?? So four is what I got... Hmmm.... They also forgot our orange juice and when I went up to ask for it when we were almost done eating, they apologized and brought it out a few minutes later. I was told "sorry we are behind a bit" but when I went up to ask not even 10 minutes before there were three employees leaning against the counter at the front talking... And about 5 groups of people in the restaurant. Really slammed I guess *sarcastic much?* And then when we went to cash out I had to argue with the manager who cashed me out because there were an extra 2 drinks our waiter had rung up on the ticket. He said no it was right when I asked him about it, so I went to talk to the manager, she said it was right also, so I then had to go through the ticket with her to point out the flaw and take the orange juices I hadn't ordered off. I was not impressed with my experience. It is a Denny's. The food is cheap, and the service is not great. So if you're looking for cheap food in large portions, and don't care much for the service aspect, this is the place for you. read more

Every time I come here it's horrible! This time my friend felt like her chicken was undercooked and when she asked them to remake it we witnessed them defrosting the chicken in A MICROWAVE then point at us and complain that they had to remake the order. We felt like they where going to tamper with our food as a result of being unhappy about remaking the order and asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came out he refused to acknowledge that his cooks where being unprofessional and said "I'm not going to go back there and be a Nazi" because we requested the order be remade. I have never been so insulted! To compare wanting cooked food and professional service to acting like a Nazi is appalling! Don't ever eat here these people don't deserve your business and you are likely to get sick from under cooked or improperly handled food. read more

First time I have been in a Denney's in 10 years and the experience was great. Had a hot tea with a chicken and avocado salad. Very tasty! Savannah was our server and she was very efficient. Wish other Denney's in my home state were this good. read more

Was not sure about this Denny's after reading the reviews. We are glad we took the chance. All the workers were friendly, smiling and very helpful. My husband and I both ordered omelettes different kinds. They were very fluffy and full of the different ingredients inside, came with hash browns and toast of your choice. Upon our last place we headed to Denny's for a breakfast/lunch/dinner before heading to the airport and making a ton of connections. You can tell everyone was working hard and were efficient with their time. None of the workers were checking their phones or any of that. Our server was very friendly and was attentive with our needs. My make your own skillet was missing half the items and when I asked the server about my missing items she quickly went for them (I didn't even have to tell her what I was missing) and came back. So im in town visiting for the weekend and its about 2 am, Id assume dennys is used to the bar crowd coming in after the bars close after all these years since I used to come here years ago when I lived here. We came in for food and the hostess acted like by us coming in we were a total inconvenience. We asked if instead of staying we could place a to go order. We were told "only burgers" because they only had small to go boxes left. We were fine with that, so we waited. Next thing she came out and said "no to go orders because putting burgers in a small to go box is too 'time consuming'" WHAT?! It made no sense and they seemed to have never had a busy weekend after the bar before?i would have eaten the burger and fries out of a bag for all I cared. Went for breakfast today. The place is filthy -I don't think the doors had been cleaned in over a week. The floors looked like they hadn't been mopped in days, and the carpet was beyond belief. The entrance was covered probably hadn't been cleaned in days. The only person that was trying to clean the place up was a male waiter, and he had his hands full. One waitress spent most of her time going outside to smoke. If we were knew of other places we could get breakfast in walking distance, we would have. We always think of a national chain to provide a certain standard. This one failed! read more

I started my evening believing that you cannot zoom a zoom. This restaurant has changed my entire life. I now know that you can zoom a shwartz and zoom a figliani. If the sun does rise like herring blowing high i will eat these pancakes like a catcher in the rye. These pancakes are lovely, dark, and deep, but i have figlianis to go before i sleep. The food tastes good, but that was it. Service was terrible, when we walked in (and other guests) we had to stand by our table and wait for employees to wipe and dry it . Then I got my meal and started eating and they told my friend theirs was coming shortly, 25 minutes later I was completely fished eating and we had to ask for my friends meal inside of a to go box because we didnt have any more time to wait there . Ten more minutes later the manager came out and said she would deal with the problem and would give us a discount, when we went to pay the receipt said -7% . We did the math and she took off 4 dollars , from our whole meal this lady only took off the price of one drink! ( which they never offered to refill the entire time) what a joke. The first meal tasted good but the second meal was very late and had to be eaten cold later on. And also ,when we were paying we asked where to leave a review and the employee just said "I dont know, maybe online or something" . My wife and I settled on a accurate review of our dining experience at this Denny's location. Here it goes: Our waiter was high on meth. The hostess was drunk. The cook and bus-boy were stoned off their ass. We made a simple order for a sampler and coffee and it took eons to be served. The coffee was Black and simply satisfying, though it did not make up for the lack of our cheesy bacon tater-tots that were served aimlessly throughout the restaurant long after our request for the correction to our sampler plate. Our evening was concluded by two consecutive losses at our attempt to retrieve a stuffed poop at the claw machine which seemed rigged (as I am an excellent claw machine operator). The sadness experienced upon leaving this Denny's franchise was overwhelming and inconsistent with my experience as a child visiting this restaurant. This would never happen at Shoney's... read more

For a Denny's, and even many other places you could go for similar food, this is really as good as it gets. We ate here twice during our trip, and both times our food was up in under 10 minutes, which we really appreciated since we were trying to catch the train around the corner (did I mention the convenient location to the main attraction of this town?). Food was great, and the servers we had were both quick, attentive, friendly, and interactive but not obnoxious. Made for a great way to start 2 very good days of a road trip. read more

This Denny's definitely did not meet our expectations. We asked for water and were told there was no ice. One of our party ordered an apple cranberry salad and after it was brought to the table, she was told they had run out of apples. Our waiter spilled a full glass of water on my husband's plate of food (accidents happen, so this is not the basis of my low rating). When the cashier brought our food, one of our party mentioned that she had an AARP card because there was a sign mentioning that an they had an AARP card discount. The cashier said yes there was a discount. When we went to pay, the person in our party asked if the discount had been applied, and the cashier said no and that it was too late at that point to give the discount. The cashier rudely said that there were a lot of people in the restaurant and she couldn't be expected to remember that she had been asked to give the discount on the bill.
