My wife and I still come to this Denny's restaurant in Fowler. It started back in that dreaded year of 2020! Denny's was a ray of sunshine that brighted our weekend mornings! And it still does. Almost every weekend, we order our breakfast through the app. My wife sticks to the same order every time: the Hearty 9-Grain Pancake Breakfast. I like to mix it up and order different things from the menu on different days. We recently started ordering dinner. There are a lot of great choices. I love the burgers! Also, prices increase so much in the nearby restaurants, we would rather order here, at Denny's, and get a better quality of food and service. The prices are similar to the nearby restaurants, but I feel I'm getting a better "Bang for Your Buck" here at Denny's The manager, Jessica, is always keeping constant comunication with the customers by welcoming everyone as they enter the restaurant, making sure they are getting a table, taking care of the customer's tab (bill) at the cash register, or making sure pick-up orders are on time. I see that Jessica is making sure the customers are satisfyed with their visit and givng a big smile with a "Thank you for coming!" Also, I see that all the employees are doing their best to make this a great restaurant to come to when they are in Fowler. There are times when our order does take a little longer, or the order is not perfect, but most of the time, about 97% of the time, everything comes out great. Let's be a little more forgiving went things don't go as planned. I am sure it was not done on purpose. This would be a great place to apply for a job who want a job. It looks like a great place to work: Great location, Great people, and Great food! This location is ridiculous. Ordered 4 grand slamwhiches and their was absolutely nothing in it. Pretty much gave us grilled cheese sandwiches with one piece of ham and one sausage crumble. The food at Denny's consistently taste the same from Denny's to Denny's. What changes dramatically is the service? My party of six had another bad experience at Denny's. Right away the manager wouldn't seat me until my entire party was there and ready. I was already crunched for time and wanted to order my food. We ordered five hamburgers with fries and two stacks of pancakes. One stack came with the meal, but was cold as a touch. Butter wouldn't even melt. The second stack of pancakes came after everybody was completely done with their food. The pancakes were sitting at the bar underneath the warmer and they had been there for at least eight minutes. Manager brought them over and told her I didn't want them anymore, but she still tried to make me pay for them. I refused. After paying my $56 bill receipt wouldn't print out. They said they couldn't print the receipt for whatever reason and ended up giving me someone else's receipt that didn't even add up to what we had. The manager of this Denny's should be reprimanded and dealt with as she is giving Denny's a bad reputation. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. We waited for 10 minutes to be seated, when the restaurant was empty! Only four people working the entire place. The short order cook took the day off and apparently he's the only one who knows how to cook. What?! You didn't train anyone else? Waited another 45 minutes for food. We did have 5 people in our party, but I can tell you at least three restaurants in Hanford that get food out in half the time. Chubby's is a prime example of being able to serve a large party with only ONE short order cook working. And even when food did come, it was wrong! And cold! Server even gave us another order of pancakes and sides that we didn't order. I guess the expeditor gave her the wrong ticker. Who knows, because the staff didn't. My five-year-old had a dental procedure done and was in a lot of pain and wanted ice cream. I went through the McDonald's drive-through across the street and to no one 's surprise, they did not have any ice cream. we ran into Denny's and just asked for a cup of ice cream to go. The server was extremely sweet and gave her the strawberry ice cream she asked for with a whipped cream smiley face, on the house. She couldn't find a plastic disposable spoon but insistent that we take out of there regulator spoons. Came here and got seated in a decent amount of time, my main complaint is they messed up our orders bad. I got the honey butter chicken sandwich and when it came it came with nothing on it besides two chicken tenders and lettuce, so sauce or anything like it said on the menu. I asked the waitress if they had the sauce and she said they didn't and asked if i wanted bbq instead. She could have told me in the beginning they didn't have the sauce and if i wanted something else. My mother asked for smothered hash browns and they forgot the gravy. I travel a lot for my work and must admit I haven't been to a Denny's in many years. Took a chance on the Denny's in Fowler because it's close to where I'm working. Received very hospitable service and really good chocolate chip pancakes on visit number 1 a couple of days ago. On visit 2 yesterday, same thing, but they remembered me, having remembered me from visit 1. Same good food. On visit 3 this morning, the cook remembers me and offers "my usual" - and true to form, the pancakes were excellent and the service was friendly and fast. I order curbside for pick up at 11:45am. When I arrived at the location there were no signs of curbside parking. So I parked in the front waiting for a employee to bring me my food. I waited for 8 minutes and no one came. I called the restaurant 25 times and it was only busy tone. 10 minutes later I went inside to advised a employee you guys don't have curb side parking anywhere how would you know I'm here. The employee said well they usually just call us. First off, I ORDER curb side and shouldn't have to call, when ordering online there were NO instructions to call when I am at the restaurant. Secondly, I did call and it was only busy time. Third, what is the point of curb side if I had to come inside anyway. It was EXTREMELY inconvenient for me with my baby and safety measures for us. Was seated with my daughter in front of a 4 top. The manager was really sweet at the door. We sat for more then 10 minutes. No drink order, nothing. In fact the server went and took the order for the 4 top. When I finally got her to look at me she said it'll be just a moment. She continued to put their order in. Had to go to Fresno last minute and stopped at Denny's in Fowler, Ca and on my way home. There was only 1 server, the manager and 1 cook. Luckily it was not busy. Our server had only been working there three days. Kudos to Brianna C. She was busting her butt to make sure everyone was taken care of. The manager, did not catch her name but she was bussing tables, bringing food out and running the cashier. What a great manager. So many managers would just sit back while there employees drown. If there was an option to not give any stars, I would definitely choose that!! I don't like and never go to a Denny's restaurant, but because it was conveniently located in the same parking lot as our hotel, I decided to give it another shot. It started off good. The waitress took our drink order and brought all the drinks quickly. She took our order and it appeared that she was on top of it! The order took super long to come. As she passed out our food, she was highly confused...forgot one dish, a salad, and breads. Got the salads mixed up. Never asked us if we wanted any condiments and when we asked for some she gave us a bit of a non-verbal attitude by grabbing the serving tray and making a face. She never asked us if we wanted refills and when my daughter asked her for a refill she brought her 3 of the same drink. I perceived that as highly snooty. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken with bruschetta. The bruschetta was tasty but when I went to eat my chicken it was rare. Nothing grosses me out more than undercooked chicken. My mother-in-law had to go to the kitchen to find out why my father-in-law's meal hadn't been served and we had already been at the restaurant for over an hour. Come to find out that the manager was the one cooking and they only had one waitress. How do you even operate a business like that?! The waitress had the audacity to ask my mother-in-law if she wanted his food in a to-go box!! Even after she asked about the food and to speak to the manager ( who never came out to talk to us), my father-in-law's food still took another 30 minutes. Just went in today and ordered a meal for my grandpa and cousin and myself. I got two Baja burger quesdilla and a vegetable soup and salad for "take out" and didn't bother to check my items there. Once I got home I noticed I had no crackers for soup, the soup was in a small container and only partially filled and the partially filled container of soup consisted of only small amounts of meat and vegetables. No napkins, ketchup for some reason was in the bag and the chips were cold?? Once I seen I called only to have the manager offer a merely 10% discount when I had a 20% discount from winning the wheel when dennys had its grand opening here and all he wanted to do was give that.
