We try to come here once a month. The past few times it feels like we are being rushed out. This evening our server was Angel she was ok , we asked her for a beer menu and she said we need to be in the bar for that which is odd we've never had to be in the bar for a beer menu. And then she said it was because it had drinks on there that were happy hour and we can't get it.. So we just ordered what we usually do instead of trying stuff new.. She brought the food it was great as always but instead of offering us another refill on drinks she asked if we wanted to go boxes and we were still kinda eating and letting the kids sit and eat their food and I said sure I guess thinking maybe she just wants to clean the table and then she brings us our check to pay and I looked at my husband confused. What if we wanted desert? We weren't even asked if we wanted something sweet to finish the meal we weren't even asked if we wanted another drink and then she kept hovering around our table because she was going to lunch and I know she just wanted to close us out. I like going to the cozy to-go area because I know I'm about to get a yummy meal to take home. The people who work at that counter are so friendly and accommodating. I ordered the feast for 2 for my birthday and was told about a free dessert through the app for birthdays. I got ate the bbq ribs, tritip, roast chicken, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, cobs of corn, and corn bread. This is such a great deal for the amount of food. Their app also has coupons and deals which make it even better. Everything tastes delicious. My family of 3 ordered the American feast and it is more than enough. It has fries, corn bread, chili beans, cole slaw corn on the cob, oven roasted chicken, full slab of ribs and pull pork. We add devil's spit to our bbq. Ooh so good! I also always love ordering their jalapeño/corn Mac and cheese! It is so creamy with a hint of spiciness. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure to check on us every chance she got. Atmosphere of the restaurant was good and we had no wait on Saturday evening. The last time I came here me & my family had the craziest food poisoning. I don't know who is allegedly "cookin" in the famous dave's kitchen but they suck ribs should be fall off the bone not burnt. Just because you put sauce on something doesn't mean that is supposed to be the standard for flavor. It's sad that people don't like doing they job the General Manager should be replaced because he is costing the corporation money unnecessarily. I actually applied back in January & didn't get the job based on my race idk what another race has business calling they self cooking is black people food but everyone can't & shouldn't try to cook another cultures food. Spend almost $200 & for what bad service food that shouldn't have been served & watered down drinks. I WILL NEVER SPEND MONEY AT "FAMOUS DAVE's" they should change the name to not so famous daves. 9/1/25 Happy Labor Day!! Getting lunch! Hailey took the order and was very kind! Cajun chicken sandwich with no mayo & cornbread & Rib Tips appetizer ordered. She said it would be ready in 10-15 min. Arrived to get it! They have a to-go door/entrance. Small wait and greeted by nice worker. Received order shortly later with good day wishes! Asked & given extra bbq sauce. Lunchtime! Order split! Rib tips were Delicious! Even better with the Devil's Spit BBQ sauce! Cajun chicken sandwich 1/2 was Great! Fresh & Tasty! Cornbread' was GREAT too. Full, but had to try a bite. This place is terrible. I got the 3 meat combo for 32. It came with the smallest portions of meat not only that they were overcooked and disgusting. I got sweet corn as a side and it was not sweet it was even wilted. Then what I ordered as fries came out as wedges and they were also not good. My parents were also unhappy with their meal which I paid for and I paid for the birthday boy. 100 for very little disgusting food. Also our server was inattentive took forever to bring someone's please and held onto my credit card for like 20 minutes. I had even asked for it back at one point and she said she had not yet run it. I also had bariatric surgery and I carry that card that lets people know my stomach is mostly gone and that I can order from the kids menu but they did not allow that there. Which is rude! The kids with us didn't even order from the kids menu so it's not like the lost money. Also our menus and table were dirty and sticky. I am sure they have food safety issues here. This location chose to partake in a wonderful fund raising event for a local animal rescue organization but when it came to making sure the 20% went to the fund raiser, the MANAGER claimed the proceedure was not followed properly and NONE of my over $75 check went to the organization. He claimed he could not override what was already entered into the computer. TOTAL BS!!! I know for a fact that a MANAGER can process an override! HE JUST DIDN'T WANT TO GO THROUGH THE HASSEL. He clearly didn't care about the cause and only saw his profit being taken. We ordered 2 baked potatoes with chicken and the chicken was pink and didn't seem cooked. All the containers were not put on right and it was just a disaster. Food was amazing!!! We went with the family and friends feast. Stuck with the rib-lets, chicken, Beans, coleslaw, French fries, and corn bread. All around It was a great dinner. We also added a side of Mac n cheese and it was creamy and cheesy. The corn bread was amazing. Nice and quite great bbq theme. Service was great, a little too long from seating to ordering and our waiter waited about 20min to ask us what we wanted to drink. Hopefully our next visit our waitress will be more attentive. First Time !!! Wow I've been missing out on this BBQ Seemed like a busy day luckily we only waited for about 10-12 minutes. The hostess seemed a tad tired when asked " How are you guys doing?" we replied good and asked her back , she said " Can't wait to gooooooo" LOL . She was nice overall! Ambiance was nice , lots of families eating and celebrating. So much to look at on the walls. Food overall was good! I have never tried their sauces and was impressed. I ordered the two meat combo. Wednesday 5pm Party of 3 We were seated in a booth immediately. Our waitress arrived shortly and brought BBQ chips and took our drink order. This is the first time for hubby and I. The friend we went with comes often and really enjoys it. The menu offers plenty of choices and we found something that sounded yummy quickly. I was curious to try the sauces on the table. I tried them with my tater tots and didn't taste too much of a difference in them. The tater tots were crisp and delicious. I like pickles so I enjoyed that a nice pickle was included in my sandwich. 4/5 because my husband and I both agree our food was good but not overly amazing. read more
