I kind of can't believe I'm reviewing a Denny's, but yet, here I sit. I haven't been to a Denny's in years. Most of my memories involve me in them 15 plus years ago in college, packed into a booth at 3 AM in a room filled with tobacco smoke and a Grand Slam in front of me. It was always greasy, but always open. That said, on a recent road trip, my toddler was hungry and crying, and Denny's was right off of 95. In we went. Seriously, when did Denny's get so delicious?!? Maybe it was a good day, or maybe this is just a very good location (which it was, staff and cleanliness wise). But I had one of the best hamburgers that I've ever eaten in my life here. Even my husband remarked how good it looked when it was served. Of course, the little one got nuggets and fries, so she was happy. And we were happy with a well priced lunch that definitely satisfied. read more

If you like cheeseburgers and fries go to this Dennys. Ordered 2 types of them from about 7 special types here. Both were freat and came with nice fries. The cook was great as no one was taking my order do he asked me what I wanted. Food was very good. The waitress was good after she appeared. Try it. read more

I usually love Dennys. The first couple of times I went to this Dennys, my husband and I loved it. The last time? Not so much. They recently hired a new cook. We usually order the nachos as an appetizer - they were soggy and tasted like oil. Not a light taste but an overwhelming taste of oil. We then ordered the bourbon chicken and a grand slam. Chicken was under cooked and still super pink. The potatoes from the grand slam tasted like oil and the eggs were rubbery. We let the waitress know that we weren't too happy with our meals and she just brushed it off. Sorry Dennys. I won't be going to this location anymore. read more

Wish we had read the reviews before eating there last night. You would think that with only 5 groups of people already eating or with their orders taken service would quick. NO! A party of 2 who came in right after us and had their order taken after us had eaten and left and we still hadn't been served our food. Waitress said she "forgot to put our order in". At that point she had only taken 2 orders so her waitress skills are seriously lacking. The only time she came to check on us and offer refills was when she dropped off the check. Only reason we stayed was because we were exhausted from driving all day and staying at the hotel next door and it was late. read more

Impolite employees, waitress got every order wrong and the old hag at the register couldn't even compensate me my money for a crane machine mistake. I stopped eating here because it always smells bad. Sometimes like mold, sometimes like a toilet over flowing. Never had bad service, slow yes, but never bad. It's definitely not the cleanest place. I mostly went here cause it reminds me of my grandmother as Denny's was one of her favorite places. Even the sentimental aspects couldn't allow me to get past the smell. read more

We stopped here on our way South. It was not busy only 4 tables had people. 5 of us ordered hamburgers and the waitress insisted that they had to be cooked well done. 45 minutes later the food arrived. French fries were cold! and my hamburger was raw! You could see it was raw. Waitress apologized and took it back - when she returned with hamburger it was so burned and tasteless I left most of it on my plate. Told husband we will never ever set foot in a Denny's again - the food is awful and the service is awful. If you deliberately want awful food and bad service - then this is your place. read more

My cousin was visiting from Switzerland, I took her to Denny's for breakfast. She loved it, saying that it feels like the American diner as shown in movies. Of course the food was good. We had French toast and veggie omelette with hash brown and fruits. read more

This place is a total dump. They weren't busy and it still took forever to be seated. Once we were seated, we waited almost 15 minutes for a server to come to our booth and no one ever showed up. I normally wouldn't wait 15 minutes for a server but I wanted to see if anyone would come over to take our order because I was in such disbelief. We had been there previously about a month before and they were slammed and service was slow and food was bad. We thought we'd give them another chance but that was a wasted effort. We will never go to this dump again. Services is horrible when you can even get any service, all the employees walk around talking and not working, the food is horrible and it's dirty. Came in and sat down tonight in the back and there was one other table near us.a server walks back to where we are and talks to the other table while we wait to be greeted.she turns around and goes back to the kitchen and says no I'm not doing that no I'm not doin that and I watched this happen.so after 10 minutes of her saying that she sent another server to take us. And all the while a few of the employees are being loud and goofing off in the private dining room with their friends including the rude girl server in an orange shirt.and when another employee asked her for help with seating she said "where the fuck is everybody else?" I Was Like wow my kid is back here with you cussing and stuff around us wow. Obviously nobody cares about what these employees do or anything and this is on christmas day. Denny's - Nasty food and trash on the floor ew - Diners Near Me - Fredericksburg, Virginia

Took over 10 minutes for the server to greet us. Food was ok but nothing great. My burger was crumbling apart. After we ate had to wait 15 minutes for our check. We actually asked the hostess when she went by if we could get the check. While eating we could see and hear our server complaining about her job and how she transferred from another Denny's. She was just standing around doing nothing because they weren't busy. When we went up to the register our server came over and printed out our check. I said we got it from the hostess because we had to wait forever to get it. She apologized and said the cook left and she was cooking. That was a lie because my husband saw her most of the time standing around. Wouldn't go here again. read more

Terrible! We ordered online or we would have been turned away. Tables were not bussed and full of dirty dishes apparently there was no help and it was the managers first week. We ordered 2 burgers that were dry and tasteless. I hope that the new management can turn this around! read more

I can't believe I'm going to say this. We have not been to Denny's in about 5 years. It was fast, hot, clean. Staff was really nice. And now they have gluten free items? Not fake gluten free but at least some English muffins vs eggs and salad haha. read more

Free kids meals are a wonderful thing on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Waitress was friendly. Kids enjoyed their free Mac and cheese and spaghetti and I enjoyed my 13oz steak. I highly recommend it. read more

Service 5 stars. Food 4 stars...when available. Management: 1 star. Today I could not order my favorite breakfast dish because "some ingredients are locked up in freezer. " In the last two years this has happened at least 4 other times and today was the last straw. The manager promised me the last time it would never happen again. I've emailed Corporate 3 times and never gotten a response. Our weekly group has decided to move on to a restaurant where management takes care of its customers. read more

Went to Denny's today, terrible. When we first walked in it smelled like port-a-pit first off.. The food was adequate... Not even, I ordered a chicken melt and it came back with a hair in it and the cheese looked like snot. We wanted to eat with family before we left town and we waited over an hour for our breakfast food, the entire time our waitress never came over and not to mention there was food just sitting in the window forever. Went to this Denny's one week after we went to one at a different location. Ordered the same exact breakfast and the portion size was a JOKE!!! Very disappointed with my experience today, first off my husband and I we're seating in the back of the restaurant next to the window, at a table with bugs!!!!! Literally nets flying over top of us as we're looking at the menu. We eventually get moved, and my waffle was cold... which meant my butter didn't melt, I asked for my eggs to be (shelled) scrambled hard with cheese, which they got wrong.. and the waiter never came back to check on us, after brining our food out. Which meant I couldn't tell her about the waffle being cold, or the eggs... I mean we never gotta refill on our waters, or a simple "is everything okay"........ we called for the manager since the waiter decided to just drop off our food and go home lol, she replaced the eggs, which are in this picture... then I told her I wasn't happy with my experience, and that I didn't wanna eat eggs by itself hence I had pretty much finished the rest of meal, lol def don't just want a plate of eggs... any who she understood covered my our meals. won't be back! read more

The two stars are for great service and for fluffy pancakes. The fresh fruit cup was also good. But I think the griddle for the eggs is too hot, as my eggs were ordered over medium but were over easy. They actually looked over hard until I cut into them and saw an extremely runny yolk with lots of gooey white blobs. That's not over medium. Also, the hash browns were a greasy soft mess...no browning. The build your own slam was 7.48, so that is a good price, and again, I had fantastic service. I advise you to get your eggs scrambled here though, as the cook doesn't seem to understand how to cook a proper egg. Also, those amazing fluffy pancakes came with a heaping scoop of margarine, not butter. I don't know about you, but if I am going to splurge, I don't want the chemicals. I didn't experience the problems other people had. I thought the waitresses I saw were efficient, polite, and VERY importantly, respectful. The food is pretty basic but hey! So are the prices! Some of the fancy diners charge more and feed you nothing better. I was satisfied with both the food and service, and didn't encounter the dirt problems some have mentioned. read more

Again I ordered the moons over my hammy (anyone following me knows I'm allergic to red meat, but like to buck the system). Starting from the beginning. The water tasted extremely bad, like I was drinking rusty coins bad. When the food arrived, the hash browns were good(reason for two stars). Now the sandwich. I feel I would have gotten less oil intake if I would have washed a subway sandwich down with 8oz of fresh bacon grease. Waitress was ok. Can't remember her name. This is by far the worst Dennys I have ever been to. The waitresses all have terrible attitudes. They were very loudly complaining about work and their customers while they were doing nothing. It took 20 minutes for us to get water and menues. The food was cold. The entire place smells. If your on 95 save yourself the unpleasant experience of dining here. read more

I have come to this Denny's before and the service was good and the waitress's have always been good. Until TODAY. we had a waitress named Rachel D and at first she was okay. in fact she was good enough that we complimented her on her skills to which she was very happy. But from that point forward her service went from superb to none existent. my friend had finished her glass of water before we ordered our meal and the waitress stared at her glass and even heard me say "omg you finished your water already lol" and she did nothing. we were halfway through our meal and she still hadn't offered a refill or checked on us. mind you she didn't even bring us our food, another waitress had to. my fiancé had to get up and walk toward the refill station for someone to notice that we needed the refill. not to mention the food came almost a half an hour late at midnight when there was only two or three other people inside of denny's and there were at least three waitresses in there. needless to say i do not approve of this service what so ever. read more
