5 star aweful waffle?!? Yup! I rate off the type not compared to all other restaurants and this is a SOLID waffle house! Clean, well lit, fast service, food was hot and fresh, friendly wait staff, even ran into a neighbor! I mean if you've never been to a waffle house and you live in America then I'm not sure what to tell you. If you've been to waffle House it's everything you'd expect without a greasy table tops and the traditional lingering cigarette smoke smell. We'll be back! read more

You know what type of service you get when you go to Waffle House...well not today. Service and food were great.

Food was surprisingly good and under 40 bucks for two people. Service was good. I have no complaints.

Update review- the food is just like every other WH, so no surprise there. What makes this location. Great is the staff. They CHEERFULLY greet you when they walk in, smile when they talk to you, and get the food to you quickly. They appear to honestly enjoy their jobs, and interact very well as a team. It's been many many many years (nearly 20) since I last ate at a Waffle House and after my recent visit, I know why.... The food doesn't seem to resemble the pics on the menu and the quality of it is equally as bad. The flavors were barely edible. The service was friendly, but awful otherwise, as he seemed to forget everything, including parts of the order and I never id get the glass of water I asked for 5+ times. I'm surprised to see o many people here on a Sunday morning, when they can grab ingredients cheaper at Giant (which is nearby) and go home and cook and have a better breakfast experience. read more

I wish I could give more stars... I went there with my co-worker for lunch. Service was great, food came out so fast and good...(I had a cheeseburger, I wish they had french fries with it (they serve hash browns instead)). The only thing that I didn't like... the flies were around our table. Hope it's not like that every day. Other than that, this restaurant is pleasant. I would give another shot. read more

Food was good and the cooks managed the grill like pros. Lily waitress had her stuff together and can be heard saying that she's will to stay longer to help out. My waiter Dave though struggled to complete orders. Additionally I had to parts of my order as I watched it sit on the line getting cold. It took my asking for refills as well. read more

Everywhere I go I order two eggs over medium; just enough goo to hold them together when I mash them up. Kind of like lumpy scrambled eggs. And rarely does anyone get them right. Last Thursday night, however, we were in this Waffle House and I ordered my two eggs over medium (two eggs breakfast). The young African American woman got it spot on. Perfect!!! Seems to be an art form! We have lots of choices of places to eat between rt. 17 and rt 3 in Fredericksburg-this is one of my favorites! Keep up the great work! read more

I have now been here twice since the opening. During my first trip the service was extremely slow, but I chalked it up to their recent opening. I returned for a second time today. They were not particularly busy and the service was still extremely slow. The food came out piecemeal, the order was incorrect, and the food beat out my drink order. This is an unacceptable level of service for a restaurant that prides itself on speed and accuracy.There is another Waffle House two miles east on US 17 that will get my service in the future. We came in at 10:50 to order 2 to-go meals. I asked for 2 triple hash browns with sausage gravy and also a burger. There was a group that had walked in right before us and got waited on immediately and was served there food shortly after. Meanwhile we sat for 10mins before even getting our order taken. Another couple had walked in around 11:05 and was served their food before we even got ours. Then at 11:25 our waitress brings our food and tells us they have no gravy made currently so it would be about another 10mins and questioned if we still wanted it. Obviously we did so we decided to wait only for them to give us one tiny cup of gravy for our total of 6 servings of hash browns. She tried telling us it's only supposed to be one scoop for each. I figured it would be a scoop for each serving of hash browns that we got? Anyways the total came out to $17. Honestly I thinks it's ridiculous for as long as they took our food was cold by the time we even left the place and it looked real shitty the way they put together the burger. I don't recommend eating here. This isn't the first bad experience I've had at this one. I will not be returning. read more

I will never eat here again! It was my first time going and will definitely be my LAST. My fiancé and I both ordered the "gran slam" we got our food pretty quickly , and I had a very nice waitress , but as we get our food we notice our grits were LUMPY and so dry (normally the Waffle House grits I've had are creamy so to speak not fired out with balls of lumps throughout) anyways that was the first strike, we both just skip over trying to eat them . Next I notice that our eggs didn't have any cheese on them , which i ordered, so of course I inform my waitress and she's apologizing for the mistake of the cook. Ok cool no problem , I get it people make mistakes, the cook only makes one order of eggs with cheese and not a second one for my fiancé, so again I tell my waitress, she tells the cook (her name is Rose aka Rosie by the way ) and she gets really aggressive and snappy with my waitress. Anyways he gets his eggs, I'm eating a piece of toast , when I look down and notice a piece of hair in my food, (this was the last and final straw , and I can overlook a lot of "mishaps" but hell no that's disgusting, a freakin piece of hair in my food gross!!!) so I kindly tell my waitress I'd like this taken off , I didn't even want it remade at that point, so I the manager did. Anyways Rose decides she wanted to chime in when I said something to my waitress about the hair in my food , she thought initially I stated "I didn't like my food touching" or something because I hear her in a ghetto manner saying well all food is cooked on the same grill! I corrected her and said no there is hair in my food" then she says "oh, well I make all my people wear hair nets" first of all she wasn't a manager , just a damn grill cook. ATP I'm highly aggravated and tell my fiancé , I'll meet him out side . She gets ratchet and yells loudly across the restaurant "byeeee have a goooood dayyyy , come back and seeee usss" I couldn't believe the nerve of this lady! I shouted to her "I'll never be back, you can't cook anyways bitch", she just keeps yelling across the restaurant "yo mamaaaa , yo mamaaa" as I'm leaving my fiancé is coming right behind me , he didn't even get to finish his meal, and we proceed to drive off , she's outside antagonizing us as if she wants to fight , holding up her name tag (as if tht wasn't the first thing I saw) laughing and smiling, as if she was untouchable! I am absolutely outraged at the fact Waffle House will allow this lady to work here, because according to her staff this is not the first time she has gotten into it with customers . She's a bully , and will run business off!!! I couldn't believe the nerve of her. I will NEVER BE BACK, I will never allow any of my friends to go there either . Oh before I forget I do call the store to speak with a manger , and I asked her was she going to allow her cook to treat paying customers like that , she stated "well I can't send her home unless district tells me to"!!!
