Went for my husbands birthday which in my mind, this will be my last time there. I had the grilled chicken with brussel sprouts as that sounded very good and they were as hard as a rock as I could not cut them with a knife or fork and they tasted bitter. The waitress offered to get me different ones but I said no. Also the cloth covers on the handles on the skittles were very dirty as they were the one other time we were there. When checking out I had asked if the brussel sprouts were fresh or frozen and the person said fresh as I'm thinking he was the manager and I gave him my concerns and he said nothing, just kept doing what he was doing in the cash register. It was a disappointing dinner, however did not slight the waitress her tip as it wasn't her fault. No plans on going back there anytime in the near future. read more

We are currently here at Denny's and I've always had a problem with Denny's cuz of the service so I was hesitant but anyway, it was really busy when we first arrived. Which it's Sunday so that's typical... as soon I walked in a lady found me in the crowd and asked if I have been helped to be put on the list to have a table I said no so she helped me right away. We waited about 20 minutes. And that same girl ended up being our server. Her name was Danetri. I may be spelling that wrong. It was so busy. She was SO kind and sweet to literally everyone around us that she was serving. She has wonderful chair side manner. Made sure we were happy apologized if she did miss something and kept us giggling. If I didn't know any better I would think she loved her job. She has changed my mind about this place. Great customer service is hard to come by! Thank you so much and I hope u guys recognize her for this. Treat your employees well to keep the good ones. She's great! read more

Way to seriously blow it Denny's! Stopped for a bite before wrestling meet. Sat waiting for drinks 10 minutes. Waited another 35 minutes for food. Finally just cancelled our order right around the time we should have been settling the bill. But don't worry Denny's, your employees were kind enough to take their sweet time charging us for our 1/2 imbibed beverages (saving for the meal as there was rarely any employee on the floor at all and only saw our waitress twice in the hour we were there) drinks. SMH. Just want you to know, I would have kept it to myself had you not charged me for the drinks! read more

Went there a couple of weeks ago-9:00 a.m. Saturday . Not busy-no one waiting. Also-NO ONE WAITING at front reception area. Stood there a couple of minutes-got seated. Sat at table 10-15 minutes before any server came. Ordered coffee-was told they had just "brewed a new pot"so it would be a few minutes. Coffee came in about 10 minutes. Friend and I ordered a breakfast sandwich to split. Food came in about 15 more minutes-by then we had discussed going elsewhere. Food barely warm but tasty. When finished asked for the bill. Not sure who he was-maybe mgr. came to table-walked us up to front area. The bill was $7.80?or close to that. He says-"well will just round this up"!!! thanks. No change-nothing. NEVER AGAIN! Wow.... I don't know why others had a problem with this location. It is BY FAR the best one I have ever been to! The service is a bit slow...but all Denny's are known for being slow! Just plan accordingly. It is clean & friendly, food is good, and above all, I don't have to wear my coat in July because the air cond is sooooo cold! There are at least 2 other locations in the area that I will not go back to, because it is freezing. You can't even enjoy your food because you have to gobble it down so fast before it is too cold to eat. On my last visit, I even took the time to ask to speak to the manager, to let her know how pleased we were with this place. I will be going again over the weekend. I gave it 5 stars, because even though it is slow, I didn't freeze while waiting!! read more

I've stopped by this place a few times. The egg white vegetable skillet was kind of gross the egg whites tasted like something I don't want to describe. I really enjoy the ultimate omelet or nachos. The people that work at these places are always incredibly professional and make me prefer a cheap place compared to an expensive and rude people restaurant. read more

When I found this Denny's a year ago, the food was good. The last time I was there I ordered pancakes, toast, hash browns and sausage. It came out with eggs. I told her I didn't order eggs and I was missing the sausages. She took it back to have them scrape the eggs off the plate and must have nuked the sausages. The food was all cold and the toast was burnt. I guess I won't be back since the last 2 times I was there, the food was cold. read more

This place is a joke. Skillets are only half way filled (the picture on the menu is a lie). Ask to substitute mushrooms for extra broccoli and when food arrived I had 3 pieces of broccoli in the entire portion. $8 for a skillet that is half way full and no toast comes with it. You leave hungry. If you ask the server for anything you get curved for every single thing. Kids "French toast" was literally 2 regular pieces of toast and 5 banana slices on top. Waste of money. Used to love Dennie's but they went down hill with the greedy prices and food portions. read more

It is what you expect Denny's to be. The good is pretty standard, not great and the service is slooooooooooow! It took just about 10 minutes once we were finally seated to have a waitress come over, she said hi, gave her name and just stood there with her pen and note pad. This is not the typical Denny's restaurant this one the service is slow and the food is cold! They never have enough servers and they are disorganized. Waiting 30 mins to place a food order is unacceptable no matter what time of day you visit. Won't visit this Denny's location EVER again! read more

We've been regulars at the new Denny's on Highway 100 and Layton. The food is fabulous, plentiful and the bold coffee is to die for! Our server Keianna (don't know if I spelled it right, but she'll understand :) ) is the BEST!!! She is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menus and keeps the coffee hot! Want to be in her area all the time. But avoid Omar...he is not an asset to the restaurant, being the polar opposite to Keianna. Go for the "new" pancakes and stay for the rest of the menu, especially the loaded baked potato soup!! Over 50? don't forget to use that all saving AARP card!!! Just stopped in for a quick breakfast since the independent high end joint I like was closed. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality and service. My waiter, Miguel, was well spoken, courteous and attentive. Ordered a build your own breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and a biscuit. I have been having trouble of late in getting my eggs scrambled so they're neither slimy or like pebbles. Ordered them scrambled easy and they were perfect. Hash browns were crisp as ordered and the biscuit was tender yet held together. Coffee was so so but that was what I was expecting. This version of Denny's is light years ahead of the Denny's I visited years ago. I'll be back. read more

Denny's isn't what it used to be! My hubby and I went there for breakfast and sat in the corner booth where we could see the servers coming and going and where they prepped our food. We had Sue for our waitress. Sue kept busy walking around getting orders, taking food out, seating new customers and tending to the register. With that being said...my hubby ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with bananas on it. I personally seen Sue go in the back after taking payment at the register (yes we could also see what was happening up front from where we sat as well) and seating someone down with menus then go in back peal a banana then hold the peeled banana in her hand as she cut it to go on top of the pancakes!! She never washed or sanitized her hands after all that contact with money, menus, etc. disgusting is putting it mildly. Then when we went to pay we had another waitress (Unsure of her name, she was older & short) take care of us, she took the receipt scanned it and we then went to pay with our credit card and she just walked away without saying anything to us and never finished our transaction with us, a young girl that was visiting her coworker friend off to the side had to come and finish up our transaction with us, while she continued talking to her friend not saying one word to us! Our days of eating at Denny's is long gone. Some of the employees at this restaurant are rude, the restaurant could use some cleaning up and SOME of the waitress' could also use a talking to on their hygiene and appearance. read more

Food was typical dennys breakfast good. The front staff overwhelmed with crowd. One hostess to cash out and seat. Started seating people out of order which did not make the people waiting happy. No one introduced themselves and were harried and could not listen to patrons needs. Some bus staff started to clear tables when people in bathroom until we stopped them. Building is a converted old restaurant and flow not completely conducive for good work flow. read more

after working for a Dennys for 13 yrs this is by far the worst Dennys ever . they need to shut down and retrain Thier cooks. how can this company allow this one to give Dennys a bad name. shut down clean house and start over . so said that this place don't see they are slow because the food sucks. thus us my 2nd time here and surely my last. I wish we would have read these reviews before going here. We have eaten at many Denny's locally and across the country and usually have good experiences. However, this newly opened location should have gotten their act together before opening. We arrived about 6:30pm on Wednesday night. The place had about five other small groups there already (definitely not busy, so that is no excuse). Service was terrible. Took about 10 minutes for waitress just to take our order for drinks. We ordered sodas and mozzarella cheese sticks appetizer. It took 20 minutes for her to bring the drinks and no appetizer. When we asked where it was, she apologized. We gave her our dinner orders and she went to get the appetizer. Another ten minutes before she brought it. Over 40 minutes before our dinners arrived. My youngest grandson ordered chicken nuggets. She brought chicken strips. I ordered fish and chips with corn and broccoli, my daughter ordered chicken and sausage quesadillas. I didn't have any fries (chips) on my plate. They were on her plate along with chicken nuggets and sausage, but no quesadillas. My corn was almost white (not yellow) and the broccoli was cold. My middle grandson ordered a double cheeseburger and mashed potatoes instead of fries, and the oldest grandson ordered a honey jalapeno bacon burger. The cheeseburger came with the fries (which should have been with the honey jalapeno bacon burger) and that burger came with nothing. He took the fries from his brother, but we were still missing the mashed potatoes. We called all these problems to the attention of the waitress. Again she apologized and after about 10 more minutes brought the chicken nuggets for the youngest, the quesadillas with only cheese in them, (I guess they figured she already had the chicken and sausage) and the mashed potatoes. Waitress never came around asking if we wanted refills on our drinks. We have eaten at the Forum across the street numerous times, and although they are usually quite busy, service is great and so is the food, although a bit more expensive. read more

I realize this Denny's hasn't been open long but....by now even after reading these other yelp reviews, you haven't done a thing to improve your sloppy business. We had to wait 15 min. to be seated along with other people when I see at least 10 open tables. The hostess seems like shes in a cloud, the waitress's don't really seem to know what to do and everyone moves at a snail's pace. When we got our food my sausages were cooked but were cold and my english muffin wasn't toasted or buttered. Could I have sent them back? Sure but buy the time I get them back Im done with the rest of my food. Also small portions are given. We get twice the amount of hashbrowns at another resturant we like to go to and think we will stick with. If you want this resturant to make it you really need to train your staff and have enough on hand to handle your customers. Nothing makes us more mad than when we have to stand around waiting for a table when there are plenty of empty tables staring at us. read more
