Berry Stuffed French Toast Slam® w/ over easy eggs, bacon, and sausage

Can't even remember the last time I went to Denny's. Got off work late and Denny's was one of the only places open after 1:30AM. Had to charge the Tesla as well so we figured why not, since it's in the same parking lot. Wasn't expecting much because in my mind, Denny's was always kind of 'meh' from past experiences. But we ended up having a really great late night dinner/ breakfast! The interior is really bright and newly renovated. We ordered: Berry Stuffed French Toast Slam® w/ eggs, bacon, & sausage links Chicken Country Fried Steak & Eggs I expected a sad, mediocre plate (sorry!) but got tasty and nicely plated meals. Hashbrowns were crisp. Eggs were perfectly fried. The country fried steak was good but seemed processed since it was super soft and easy to cut into but it was still good. Even the ice water was good lol. The stuffed French toast was more like 2 French toast sandwiches, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It was a little too sweet but the strawberries on top helped cut the sweetness. There were maybe 8 other tables as it was a Saturday night, but the servers were super friendly despite it being almost 2AM. Paid using the QR code on the receipt and we were on our way.

No shade but I thought I would never write a review for Dennys . I say that to say , My T-bone steak was so good that I have to write about it . Whoever was in the kitchen on Saturday 3/28/26 between 5:45-6:45 you cooked the steak to perfection! It was seasoned perfectly. It seems like there was only one server but she did an amazing job talking care of all the customers. Customer services were great and surprisingly so was the food . I would definitely come back.

- [ ] Tried to make this my new spot, but they disappointed me one too many times after my last review. Came back a couple times and it was bad, but this time was awful. The restaurant was filthy and service was even worse 0/10. It took hella long for anyone to even come take our order and then on top of that another 15 minutes for our drinks to come. Maybe another 15ish minutes for our food to come and it was cold. I asked for hot syrup and while waiting my boyfriend finished his meal so o had to call the server over for a box and the bill. This entire time nobody has refilled our drinks and I had to get up and go ask for napkins. Server was noticeably irritated when I asked for a Togo box and the bill. I took my food home and had to heat it all up. I won't be coming back to this location. Need to hire more workers everyone was waiting around and the staff that you did have seem like they didn't want to be at work and need help! Even had to wait to pay. Came hungry and left hungry 1/10 for effort I guess

Extremely Short staffed. Nobody was at the front to greet or help customers for what felt like 15 minutes. Waiting area seats were so dusty crusty nasty. Hash brown was RAW underneath the seemingly well done crust. Gross.

I had a great experience at Denny's. The food was really good, fresh, and flavorful. And the milkshakes are so good! The service was also amazing--everyone was friendly and attentive. A special shoutout to Inosencia, who was especially kind and made sure everything was perfect. I would definitely come back again!

$14.99 bottomless mimosas was a great value! It's 9 am to 3 pm every Saturday and Sunday. My $8 value burger was juicy with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Cynthia was very attentive.

Arrived on Veterans Day about 4:45am. Was told by the Hostess the Mgr Diana advised her I would have to wait until 5:00 which is the time they start serving Veterans. I was the only one in the restaurant but didn't even get offered a cup of coffee. Right at 5am the waitress Les took my order and the breakfast was delicious! Thank you to Les and Dennys for appreciating America's Veterans.

The sticker of this dish was at the bottom of the plate that was served to us.

My family and I were happy to have found a place that would accommodate our party. We were seated fairly quickly and our waitress was nice. She gathered all of our orders in a timely fashion and we received our food fairly quickly. Our waitress checked on us often and her service was wonderful. The food was served hot, and tasty for the most part. I would ask management or those working in the kitchen to be mindful of the food being served. The yea I asked for came out in a coffee pot that was not washed well and the water that was poured into my tea was brown and smelled like coffee. I wondered why my orange tea tasted like coffee. One of our orders had the sticker of what looks like a package it came out of, stuck at the bottom of the bowl. Both instances, we did not know until we were leaving and about to pay the bill. I hope that management sees this and addressed these issues quickly.

Just terrible all around. Expensive. Slow. Awful food. Came in to get a burger. Both menus they gave us were completely different. Everything I asked about, our server didn't know the answer to. This was sort of okay, because he was willing to get the answers. But it took longer than expected. I ordered a beyond burger. The server told me the bbq sauce would come on the side for some reason. 20 minutes later when I got the burger, it was a real beef burger. There is no bigger cardinal sin in service than serving a non-veggie meal to a vegetarian/vegan. We took a look and told him they got it wrong. He corrected the order, but it took another 20 minutes. When we got it, we got the simplest, most unsatisfying burger. It had bbq sauce in it, which is fine, but it was still pretty dry. When I went to pay, I expected a $13 bill. I got a burger and a tea, which was a single packet and hot water. It was $21+. For one burger. And some fruit. And tea. $25 with tip. I'm never coming here again. read more

My nieces that are 9yrs old and 5yrs old, got FOOD POISONING from this location! After eating at this Dennys on Hesperian Blvd, the girls we're sick the next day!! They both had pancakes and regular PORK BACON. Now the girls are vomiting and have diarrhea for days!!!! -DID THE COOKS/ EMPLOYEES WASH THIER HANDS AFTER GOING TO THE BATHROOM?!! -IS THAT PORK BACON CONTAMINATED?!! --IS THE KITCHEN CLEAN?!! I ordered a Turkey club sandwich with the TURKEY BACON. The cooks had the nerve to serve me RAW TURKEY BACON on my sandwich! I had to flag down a waitress to have the kitchen cook my turkey bacon! I'm NOT sick (I did not have the pork bacon), and the parents are NOT SICK (they did not eat here)!! WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS LOCATION!! THIS IS PEOPLES LIVES YOUR DEALING WITH! I called to speak with the manager named Abigail, to tell her that my nieces got sick from eating there. She said that she would call me back, but I never heard back from her. OF COURSE WE WON'T GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION!!! Our family is extremely upset!! read more

Walk away, go somewhere else to have your meal. Food: Taste is ok, not outstanding. Portion- very small for the price they charge Service: Wait time to seat is average. 15-20 min on Saturday morning at 9:45am. Wait time for order is poor. Nobody came until flagged down. Wait time for food to arrive is horrible. 45 minutes from order. Wait time to get check is the worst. We asked for check 3 different time 5 minutes apart. After 15 minutes nobody came so I went to the front to ask. The hostess ask me to find my server. Save yourselves a horrible time and unnecessary stress. Go spend your family time elsewhere. read more

I was told ,"we don't have any". "We haven't had it for a long time". No tea, no honey, no Manager to take care of this problem. I don't drink coffee. I drink tea. My wife and I came to try it since it is new. The service by Alexa was fantastic. She deserves FIVE Stars, but the uninvited ants kinda ruin the eating experience. The food was fair, our Brisket BQ Melt had flavor but a little dry and the double berry pancakes was as expected. We would try it again and hope we can have Alexa as our server. read more

It just opened up, right around the corner from my house so I thought I would give it a shot, wish I hadn't. I mean we all know what Denny's serves. Maybe it is because they just opened this location and don't have enough employees or something but bottom line TERRIBLE FOOD and even worst service, waited 45 min for an all American slam, then to get a check was another 45 min. Stopped by this new location on my way home from work with my kids. Loved how they have a outside sitting area with a jumbo connect four game and bean bag toss. Walking inside the location is spacious and clean. We were greeted and seated with little wait time. The staff was very welcoming and let us move our seats to socal distance more. The food was prompt and delicious. I will definitely say this is our new Denny's home. We live down Hesperian in San Leandro. So not too far. Definitely recommend this location. read more

Came in to this with my family (11 members) and we were attended to in about 20 mins. The service was okay, the waitress kept making comments on everyone's food choice. My little cousin ordered a burger and the waitress told her "Are you sure? You'll eat that?" and my cousin was a little offended towards her insensitive comment. She also said she had to attend the adults first because they need the coffee first making the teens a little secluded. The food came one at a time and the intervals were way too far apart that whoever got the food first we're already finished with the plate. The rest of the food came extremely greasy, burnt and one even had a handprint on the burger bun. We all could not finish the food and left a lot of the food on the plates. We still left hungry and a little disappointed since we were celebrating my nephews baptism. Wouldn't come here again sadly, we really enjoyed the ambience and wish the food matched the environment. read more

A very pleasant atmosphere, nice spacing between tables. The staff is quick to respond, and very courteous. I'm come here over other Denny's restaurants mainly because of the manager Onkar, he likes to maintain a level of excellence that very reassuring that all is well here! So it's Dennys honestly no real complaints on the food or service the location of it is kind of funnyblack bear is a few doors down and on the opposite end it's a Coffee shop... but not the point, this mainly has to do with the ambiance, I really like the feel of the open space inside compared to the one on industrial the down fall is the seating area towards the right when entering is a little dark the lighting gives you more of a dinner feeling instead breakfast/lunch which is okay because on the opposite end it has so much natural light. They also have a nice little waiting area in front of the building. read more

The restaurant was slow, with a grand opening sign that was weathered by the sun and other outside elements. We sat down, had a few dishes, and was provided complimentary tea which was given to all customers. We also tried their vietnamese egg coffee. The sesame shrimp toast was a crunchy bread, filled with a shrimp paste. The Lomo Saltado was a vietnamese spin on the authentic Peruvian dish, stir fried beef over fries with rice and a sunny side up egg. Overall, food was decent - on the richer side, with lots of seasoning and dressing. Vietnamese egg coffee left a lot to be desired. If you are going for Vietnamese coffee, there are other better contenders - Phin Cafe, Tram Cream Coffee, etc. I asked to speak to the coordinator, regarding the party menu. They said it was an outdated menu, and working on a new menu. When I asked about the items and related prices, they were not able to provide new pricing, and asked that I tell them what items I'd be interested in ordering before providing pricing. That part was extremely frustrating - to determine what to order without having any prices. Their prices ended up being much higher than what this menu even shared. Then on the days following, the person I talked to originally converted all communications to the other manager. Things were consistently not transparent and I had to ask many questions. I didn't feel like they wanted to even answer questions, and there was inconsistencies between what we were told initially. In response to my friend's review (which I did not even knew she wrote until stumbling upon it by accident) that they provided a drawn layout to help visualize the setup, that was NOT something they went above and beyond to do. It was confusing to hear their explanation, so I had request them to grab a piece of paper and he did a very rough drawing for me. Fast forward to the day of, 15 minutes prior to the event, they are still setting up even though we were told everything would be set 30 minutes prior. Food was set up, and presented in catering trays. Everything was fine, however, the hospitality was quite lacking. It was as if they served the food, and now expected everyone to eat and leave, and started the timer. After speaking to many attendees, many people felt like they were being stared at uncomfortably and unwelcome. The cake table which they recommended to be in a certain spot and of smaller size- someone ran into the cake, and that was terrible. They make you sign this contract, but they are still a restaurant and not a venue we are renting out, so set up with basic tables is definitely expected for people to sit. Even regarding the manager's comments on providing the party with complimentary water and tea - they serve walk in customers with this - I'm not sure why a group accommodation would be any different (to even bring this up)? Not only were we charged high overtime fees, hospitality was highly lacking any warmth and I was super disappointed when multiple guests shared how uncomfortable they felt being starred by at staff. The restaurant was clearly slow throughout the whole time, and even after we left and were still outside, only one table was there. The manager's response in saying his customers were confused and left - if that was truly the case, good hospitality would proactively talk to these customers and make them feel welcome. I would not recommend this place for anything more than a pho and takeout establishment.

Warm and toasty. And a side of ranch to have with my fries because at dennys you need to have those two combinations to enjoy them . They go together perfectly. This server named Byron, he is so nice and funny. So understandable and he was a great server. Better than other servers that I had before. He is actually one of the 3 best servers I've had in my life so far. Would go to the Dennys again at Hesperian again. Thank you for the food ! read more

Cynthia was amazing and accommodating!! I wanted the choconana pancake slam but without the slam and she was able to do it for me!! The dennys is filled with pictures around Hayward from both historic events as well as pretty pictures from around the city. Great experience overall! read more

A place that is open late late or til early in the morn. Stumbled on to this place around 1130pm, hoping something would be open. It was like a light up shrine. Food was great but the seats were a little... sticky. Overall worth a visit if your famished. read more

Came here to eat with my Bro and my friend on the 2nd day of opening. Attentive server, clean restaurant, lots of parking and great location., Dennys always have safe food to eat. Try the teaspoon next door as well.. they got great drinks ! read more
