By far the worse service I have ever experienced in Denny's in my adult life. The people are very nice that got them the 2 stars. We arrived and stood in the lobby for 15 minutes waiting to be noticed by the person working then we got seated and waited another 10 minutes for the order to be taken. 20 minutes later food started to arrive before the drinks. The salads are wilted and the appetizer of onion rings had 4 on the plate. Nice New restaurant poor food quality and no flow to service. Service is Lousy!! Every time! I have come to this new Denny's to try it out multiple times, and yet every time, the service lacks in one way or the other. On my first trip. We had to flag a waiter down every time we needed something. We had to flag one down to order. One never checked in on us while we were eating and we needed refills. And the worst was when I ordered a dessert and it came without any silverware. I asked the waiter to bring one and he never did. I had to walk up and grab one from the bin myself at the check in table. Horrible. On my most recent trip. It was the same. No waiter checked in on us during our meal and we had to flag them down for refills and napkins. At least they did bring them but still come on. And they never brought the bill after we sat for almost 30 minutes without eating and our plates were clearly finished, pushed to the edge of the table. So we ended up having to stand at the host desk and calling over a server to finish us out. I would not recommend this place until they address their customer service issues. English muffin cold, ham was just a piece cut in half (cold) and fried eggs (not poached as should be) The eggs were fried together and placed upon both English muffins. The hollandaise sauce looked like melted cheese and plopped over the eggs. Looked very unappetizing. I couldn't wait for the meal to be redone due to my appointment. So, I had to eat it. Had to check out this newly built Dennys across Chabot. Came in around 9am and was seated right away on a really small table. The server (I believe his name was Alan) was helpful and moved us to a bigger table once guests were done eating. We ordered coffee which had a watered down taste and nothing compared to ihops coffee. For breakfast we ordered the veggie omelette and chocolate chip banana pancakes which comes with turkey bacon, hash browns, and eggs. Food took a good 35 mins to come out but we didn't mind as much as we were seated right away with coffee. Everything tasted fresh compared to my previous experiences at Dennys. Alan went above and beyond to help us have a great time at Dennys and works quickly and efficiently. Happy with my first experience at this location. read more

Loving the new Denny's here in Hayward! It is remodeled and updated! We used to go to the one in Union City and Onkar would attend us. I am happy to find out he is now at this new location. This Denny's has so many new updates! You can view the menu on the phone and you can pay by scanning the QR code on the receipt. The staff is super friendly too!
